| 1 | Curative effect of acupuncture on quality of life in patient with depression: a clinical randomized single-blind placebo-controlled study显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of acupuncture on the quality of life in patients with depression by clinical randomized single-blind placebo-controlled study.METHODS:one hundred and sixty-three cases of depression according with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a group of acupuncture dredging liver and regulating flow of theosophy(group 1),a group of acupoint shallow stab(group 2)and a group of non-acupoint shallow stab(group 3)at 1∶1∶1 ratio,and treated with acu-puncture,moxibustion,and intradermal embedding of needle,twice a week,for a total of 12 weeks.Scale of Quality of Life(SF-36)was used to measure the scores at four different time points and evaluate the effect of acupuncture on the quality of life of the patients with depression.RESULTS:At each time point after treatment,in scores of the 8 items,physical function,physical role,bodily pain,general physical condition,energy,social function,emotional function and mental health there were statistically significant differences among the 3 groups(P<0.0125).CONCLUSION:Acupuncture can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with depression. | Fan Ling Fu Wenbin Chen Zhao Xu Nenggui Liu Jianhua LǚAiping Li Ziping Su Shengyong Wu Taixiang Ou Aihua | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016，36，2： | 12 |
| 2 | Rotational Swashplate Pulse Continuously Variable Transmission Based on Helical Gear Axial Meshing Transmission显示文摘The current research on pulse continuously variable transmission(CVT) is mainly focused on reducing the pulse degree and making pulse degrees a constant value. Current research mainly confined to find out new design parameters by using the method of optimization, and reduce the pulse degree of pulse CVT and its range of variation. But the fact is that the reduction of the pulse degree is not significant. This article presents a new structure of mechanical pulse CVT-the rotational swashplate pulse CVT with driven by helical gear axial meshing. This transmission is simple and compact in structure and low in pulsatile rate (it adopts 6 guide rods), and the pulsatile degree is irrelevant to the transmission ratio. Theoretically, pulsatile rate could be reduced to zero if appropriate curved surface of the swashplate is used. Compared with the connecting rod pulse CVT, the present structure uses helical gear mechanism as transmission part and it avoids unbalanced inertial force in the former model. This paper analyzes the principle of driving of this transmission, presents its mechanical structure, and discusses its motion characteristics. Experimental prototype of this type of CVT has been manufactured. Tests for the transmission efficiency(when the rotational speed of the output shaft is the maximum) and the angular velocity of the output shaft have been carried out, and data have been analyzed. The experimental results show that the speed of the output shaft for the experimental prototype is slightly lower than the theoretical value, and the transmission efficiency of the experimental prototype is about 70%. The pulse degree of the CVT discussed in this paper is less than the existing pulse CVT of other types, and it is irrelevant to the transmission ratio of the CVT. | 3 | Sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in advanced or metastatic squamous non-small-cell lung cancer:an open-label,randomized controlled phase 3 trial(ORIENT-3)显示文摘Background:Treatment options for Chinese patients with locally advanced or metastatic squamous-cell non-small-cell lung cancer(sqNSCLC)after failure of first-line chemotherapy are limited.This study(ORIENT-3)aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sintilimab versus docetaxel as second-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC.Methods:ORIENT-3 was an open-label,multicenter,randomized controlled phase 3 trial that recruited patients with stage IIIB/IIIC/IV sqNSCLC after failure with first-line platinum-based chemotherapy.Patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either 200 mg of sintilimab or 75 mg/m^(2) of docetaxel intravenously every 3 weeks,stratified by the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status.The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)in the full analysis set(FAS).Secondary endpoints included progression-free survival(PFS),objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),duration of response(DoR)and safety.Results:Between August 25,2017,and November 7,2018,290 patients were randomized.For FAS,10 patients fromthe docetaxel armwere excluded.Themedian OS was 11.79(n=145;95%confidence interval[CI],10.28-15.57)months with sintilimab versus 8.25(n=135;95%CI,6.47-9.82)months with docetaxel(hazard ratio[HR]:0.74;95%CI,0.56-0.96;P=0.025).Sintilimab treatment significantly prolonged PFS(median 4.30 vs.2.79 months;HR:0.52;95%CI,0.39-0.68;P<0.001)and showed higher ORR(25.50%vs.2.20%,P<0.001)and DCR(65.50%vs.37.80%,P<0.001)than the docetaxel arm.The median DoRwas 12.45(95%CI,4.86-25.33)months in the sintilimab arm and 4.14(95%CI,1.41-7.23)months in the docetaxel arm(P=0.045).Treatment-related adverse events of grade≥3were reported in 26(18.1%)patients in the sintilimab arm and 47(36.2%)patients in the docetaxel arm.Exploratory biomarker analysis showed potential predictive values of expression levels of two transcription factors,including OVOL2(HR:0.35;P<0.001)and CTCF(HR:3.50;P<0.001),for sintilimab treatment.Conclusions:Compared with docetaxel,sintilimab significantly improved the OS,PFS,and ORR of Chinese patients with previously treated locally advanced or metastatic sqNSCLC. | Yuankai Shi Lin Wu Xinmin Yu Puyuan Xing Yan Wang Jianying Zhou Airong Wang Jianhua Shi Yi Hu Ziping Wang Guangyu An Yong Fang Sanyuan Sun Caicun Zhou Changli Wang Feng Ye Xingya Li Junye Wang Mengzhao Wang Yunpeng Liu Yanqiu Zhao Ying Yuan Jifeng Feng Zhendong Chen Jindong Shi Tao Sun Gang Wu Yongqian Shu Qisen Guo Yi Zhang Yong Song Shucai Zhang Yuan Chen Wei Li Hongrui Niu Wenwei Hu Lijun Wang Jianan Huang Yang Zhang Ying Cheng Zhengdong Wu Bo Peng Jiya Sun Christoph Mancao Yanqi Wang Luyao Sun | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022，42，12： | 8 |
| 4 | Three-dimensional carbon framework as high-proportion sulfur host for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are anticipated as one of the most promising candidates for the highenergy-density storage systems.However,the insulating nature and shuttling effect of sulfur severely limits their performance.The incorporation of sulfur with carbon materials has been deemed as one of the most powerful strategies to improve electrical conductivity and suppress soluble polysulfide shuttling.Herein,a novel three-dimensional carbon framework(3DCF)is prepared and employed as a sulfur host(3DCF@S)for Li-S batteries.The 3DCF not only supplies abundant paths for lithium ion diffusion and electron transport,but also strengthens polysulfide immobilization during the lithium/sulfur conversion reactions.As a result,the 3DCF@S with high sulfur content of 90%exhibits a high capacity of 1366 mA h/g at 0.1 C and excellent cycling stability with a satisfactory capacity of 601 mA h/g after 600 cycles at 2.0 C.The resultant Li-S button battery based 3DCF@S electrode could power a light-emitting diode for 2 h.The acquired 3DCF@S is expected to be widely used in Li-S batteries and this study will promote developments of carbon/sulfur composites for Li-S batteries. | Xianbin Liu Zechen Xiao Changgan Lai Shuai Zou Ming Zhang Kaixi Liu Yanhong Yin Tongxiang Liang Ziping Wu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020，47，13： | 4 |
| 5 | Resting-state connectivity in the default mode network and insula during experimental low back pain显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies have shown that the insular cortex has a significant role in pain identification and information integration, while the default mode network is associated with cognitive and memory-related aspects of pain perception. However, changes in the functional connectivity between the default mode network and insula during pain remain unclear. This study used 3.0 T functional magnetic resonance imaging scans in 12 healthy subjects aged 24.8 ± 3.3 years to compare the differences in the functional activity and connectivity of the insula and default mode network between the baseline and pain condition induced by intramuscular injection of hypertonic saline. Compared with the baseline, the insula was more functionally connected with the medial prefrontal and lateral temporal cortices, whereas there was lower connectivity with the posterior cingulate cortex, precuneus and inferior parietal lobule in the pain condition. In addition, compared with baseline, the anterior cingulate cortex exhibited greater connectivity with the posterior insula, but lower connectivity with the anterior insula, during the pain condition. | 6 | Is there an optimal time to initiate adjuvant chemotherapy to predict benefit of survival in non-small cell lung cancer?显示文摘Objective: Adjuvant chemotherapy(AC) after curative resection is known to improve the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC); however, few studies have reported the correlation between the time to initiation of AC(TTAC) and survival in NSCLC patients.Methods: The clinical data of 925 NSCLC patients who received curative resection and post-operative AC at the Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences between 2003 and 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.TTAC was measured from the date of surgery to the initiation of AC. Disease-free survival(DFS) was defined as the duration from surgery to the time of tumor recurrence or last follow-up evaluation. The optimal cut-off value of TTAC was determined by maximally selected log-rank statistics. The DFS curve was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to identify risk factors independently associated with DFS. Propensity score matching(PSM) was performed for survival analysis using the match data.Results: The optimal discriminating cut-off value of TTAC was set at d 35 after curative resection based on which the patients were assigned into two groups: group A(≤35 d) and group B(>35 d). There was no significant difference in the DFS between the two groups(P=0.246), indicating that the TTAC is not an independent prognostic factor for DFS. A further comparison continued to show no significant difference in the DFS among 258 PSM pairs(P=0.283).Conclusions: There was no significant correlation between the TTAC and DFS in NSCLC patients. | 15 | A study on the distribution characteristics and existing states of cadmium in the Jinding Pb-Zn deposit,Yunnan Province,China显示文摘The distribution characteristics and existing state of cadmium in the Jinding Pb-Zn deposit were studied. It was discovered that Cd was mainly distributed in sphalerite as an isomorphic impurity. There was a good correlation between Cd and Zn in the primary ore. With the oxidation and resolution of pyrite, sphalerite, sulfide, and etc., many secondary minerals, such as colloform sphalerite and smithsonite, were formed. The distribution of Cd is not symmetrical, and enrichment and dilution were observed in partial area of the oxidation zone in the deposit. Cd, except in external pore space or cracks of secondary minerals as independent minerals, such as greenockite, was mainly distributed in sphalerite as an isomorphic impurity in the secondary sphalerate and smithsonite in the oxidation zone. The research showed that Cd showed a very strong active transfer ability in the oxidation process, not only indicating that supergene leaching might be the main reason for Cd enrichment in some Pb-Zn deposits, but also reflecting that Cd was easily mobilizeed and transferred to pollute ore areas in the oxidation process. | 16 | Paclitaxel liposome for injection (Lipusu) plus cisplatin versus gemcitabine plus cisplatin in the first-line treatment of locally advanced or metastatic lung squamous cell carcinoma: A multicenter, randomized, open-label, parallel controlled clinical study显示文摘Background:Lipusu is the first commercialized liposomal formulation of pacli-taxel and has demonstrated promising efficacy against locally advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC)in a small-scale study.Here,we conducted a multicenter,randomized,phase 3 study to compare the efficacy and safety of cis-platin plus Lipusu(LP)versus cisplatin plus gemcitabine(GP)as first-line treat-ment in locally advanced or metastatic LSCC.Methods:Patients enrolled were aged between 18 to 75 years,had locally advanced(clinical stage IIIB,ineligible for concurrent chemoradiation or surgery)or metastatic(Stage IV)LSCC,had no previous systemic chemother-apy and at least one measurable lesion as per the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(version 1.1)before administration of the trial drug.The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS).The secondary endpoints included objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),overall survival(OS),and safety profiles.To explore the possible predictive value of plasma cytokines for LP treatment,plasma samples were collected from the LP group at baseline and first efficacy evaluation time and were then subjected to analysis by 45-Plex ProcartaPlex Panel 1 to detect the presence of 45 cytokines using the Luminex xMAP technology.The correlation between treatment outcomes and dynamic changes in the levels of cytokines were evaluated in preliminary analyses.Results:The median duration of follow-up was 15.4 months.237 patients in the LP group and 253 patients in the GP group were included in the per protocol set(PPS).In the PPS,the median PFS was 5.2 months versus 5.5 months in the LP and GP group(hazard rtio[HR]:1.03,P=0.742)respectively.The median OS was 14.6 months versus 12.5 months in the LP and GP group(HR:0.83,P=0.215).The ORR(41.8%versus 45.9%,P=0.412)and DCR(90.3%versus 88.1%,P=0.443)were also similar between the LP and GP group.A significantly lower proportion of patients in the LP group experienced adverse events(AEs)leading to treatment interruptions(10.9%versus 26.4%,P<0.001)or treatment termination(14.3%versus 23.1%,P=0.011).The analysis of cytokine levels in the LP group showed that low baseline levels of 27 cytokines were associated with an increased ORR,and 15 cytokines were associated with improved PFS,with 14 cytokines,including TNF-a,IFN-y,IL-6,and IL-8,demonstrating an overlapping trend.Conclusion:The LP regimen demonstrated similar PFS,OS,ORR and DCR as the GP regimen for patients with locally advanced or metastatic LSCC but had more favorable toxicity profiles.The study also identified a spectrum of different cytokines that could be potentially associated with the clinical benefit in patients who received the LP regimen. | Jie Zhang Yueyin Pan Qin Shi Guojun Zhang Liyan Jiang Xiaorong Dong Kangsheng Gu Huijuan Wang Xiaochun Zhang Nong Yang Yuping Li Jianping Xiong Tienan Yi Min Peng Yong Song Yun Fan Jiuwei Cui Gongyan Chen Wei Tan Aimin Zang Qisen Guo Guangqiang Zhao Ziping Wang Jianxing He Wenxiu Yao Xiaohong Wu Kai Chen Xiaohua Hu Chunhong Hu Lu Yue Da Jiang Guangfa Wang Junfeng Liu Guohua Yu Junling Li Jianling Bai Wenmin Xie Weihong Zhao Lihong Wu Caicun Zhou | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022，42，1： | 1 |
