1A review of topology optimization for additive manufacturing:Status and challenges显示文摘Topology optimization was developed as an advanced structural design methodology to generate innovative lightweight and high-performance configurations that are difficult to obtain with conventional ideas.Additive manufacturing is an advanced manufacturing technique building asdesigned structures via layer-by-layer joining material,providing an alternative pattern for complex components.The integration of topology optimization and additive manufacturing can make the most of their advantages and potentials,and has wide application prospects in modern manufacturing.This article reviews the main content and applications of the research on the integration of topology optimization and additive manufacturing in recent years,including multi-scale or hierarchical structural optimization design and topology optimization considering additive manufacturing constraints.Meanwhile,some challenges of structural design approaches for additive manufacturing are discussed,such as the performance characterization and scale effects of additively manufactured lattice structures,the anisotropy and fatigue performance of additively manufactured material,and additively manufactured functionally graded material issues,etc.It is shown that in the research of topology optimization for additive manufacturing,the integration of material,structure,process and performance is important to pursue high-performance,multi-functional and lightweight production.This article provides a reference for further related research and aerospace applications.Jihong ZHU Han ZHOU Chuang WANG Lu ZHOU Shangqin YUAN Weihong ZHANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,1:33
2Multi-scale design and optimization for solid-lattice hybrid structures and their application to aerospace vehicle components显示文摘By integrating topology optimization and lattice-based optimization,a novel multi-scale design method is proposed to create solid-lattice hybrid structures and thus to improve the mechanical performance as well as reduce the structural weight.To achieve this purpose,a two-step procedure is developed to design and optimize the innovative structures.Initially,the classical topology optimization is utilized to find the optimal material layout and primary load carrying paths.Afterwards,the solid-lattice hybrid structures are reconstructed using the finite element mesh based modeling method.And lattice-based optimization is performed to obtain the optimal crosssection area of the lattice structures.Finally,two typical aerospace structures are optimized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimization framework.The numerical results are quite encouraging since the solid-lattice hybrid structures obtained by the presented approach show remarkably improved performance when compared with traditional designs.Chuang WANG Jihong ZHU Manqiao WU Jie HOU Han ZHOU Lu MENG Chenyang LI Weihong ZHANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:14
3FY-3 satellite Ultraviolet Total Ozone Unit显示文摘FY-3 satellites are Chinese second-generation polar orbit meteorological satellite series. Ultraviolet Total Ozone Unit (TOU) is one of the main payloads on FY-3 satellite and the first instrument for daily global coverage of total ozone monitoring in China. The main purpose of TOU is to measure the Earth backscatter ultraviolet radiation for retrieving daily global map of atmospheric ozone. TOU will provide the important parameters for environmental monitoring, climate forecasting and global climate changing research. At present, the in-orbit testing of TOU has accomplished and won a consummation, and it will be delivered to National Satellite Meteorological Center for the operational phase of the project. In this paper we introduce the instrument of TOU and its measuring principle, in general. We also analyze the recent working status of the instrument, including the sensitivity, measuring precision of solar irradiance, diffuser degradation and wavelength drift. The inversion results show that TOU can provide good global ozone maps, and a comparison with the OMI total ozone product shows that their RMS deviation is about 5%. 5Selective feeding of bay scallop Argopecten irradians on phytoplankton community revealed by HPLC analysis of phytopigments in Bohai Sea, China显示文摘Understanding the feeding selectivity on phytoplankton by shellfi sh is currently a big challenge. In order to investigate the feeding behavior of bay scallop ( Argopecten irradians ) on phytoplankton, we compared its compositions of phytopigments in digestive glands with those in the surrounding seawater, and conducted fi ve consecutive investigations between July and November 2016 in a bay scallop culture area along coast of Qinghuangdao City, northwest of the Bohai Sea, China. Phytopigments in four-size fractionated phytoplankton of seawater (micro-(20-200 μm);nano(L)-[10-20 μm];nano(S)-[2.7-10 μm], and pico-[<2.7 μm]) and digestive glands of A . irradians were examined to investigate the selective feeding of A . irradians . Results show that fucoxanthin and peridinin constituted the major part of taxonomically diagnostic carotenoids (TDCs) in the micro- and nano(L)-phytoplankton in seawater. Compared with total phytoplankton biomass of seawater (TPB, sum of the four sizes), a substantial decrease of fucoxanthin proportion to total DCs in digestive glands was observed while that of peridinin, 19′-butanoyloxyfucoxanthin, alloxanthin and 19′-hexanoyloxy-fucoxanthin showed an obvious increase when those pigments were mainly confi ned to micro-sized phytoplankton (20-200 μm). However, zeaxanthin and prasinoxanthin were mainly confi ned to nano(s)- and pico-phytoplankton, of which the proportions in digestive glands were usually lower in TPB. 7PagGRF12a interacts with PagGIF1b to regulate secondary xylem development through modulating PagXND1a expression in Populus alba×P.glandulosa显示文摘Growth-regulating factors(GRFs)are important regulators of plant development and growth,but their possible roles in xylem development in woody plants remain unclear.Here,we report that Populus alba×Papulus glandulosa PagGRF12a negatively regulates xylem development in poplar.PagGRF12a is expressed in vascular tissues.Compared to non-transgenic control plants,transgenic poplar plants overexpressing PagGRF12a exhibited reduced xylem width and plants with repressed expression of PagGRF12a exhibited increased xylem width.Xylem NAC domain 1(XND1)encodes a NAC domain transcription factor that regulates xylem development and transcriptional analyses revealed that PagXND1a is highly upregulated in PagGRF12a-overexpressing plants and downregulated in PagGRF12a-suppressed plants,indicating that PagGRF12a may regulate xylem development through PagXND1a.Transient transcriptional assays and chromatin immunoprecipitation-polymerase chain reaction assays confirmed that PagGRF12a directly upregulates PagXND1a.In addition,PagGRF12a interacts with the GRF-Interacting Factor(GIF)PagGIF1b,and this interaction enhances the effects of PagGRF12a on PagXND1a.Our results indicate that PagGRF12a inhibits xylem development by upregulating the expression of PagXND1a.Jinnan Wang Houjun Zhou Yanqiu Zhao Cheng Jiang Jihong Li Fang Tang Yingli Liu Shutang Zhao Jianjun Hu Xueqin Song MengZhu Lu 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,10:3
8Deletion of SMARCA4 impairs alveolar epithelial type II cells proliferation and aggravates pulmonary fibrosis in mice显示文摘Alveolar epithelial cells(AECs)injury and failed reconstitution of the AECs barrier are both integral to alveolar flooding and subsequent pulmonary fibrosis(PF).Nevertheless,the exact mechanisms regulating the regeneration of AECs post-injury still remain unclear.SMARCA4 is a part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodelling complex SWI/SNF,which is essential for kidney and heart fibrosis.We investigates SMARCA4 function in lung fibrosis by establishing PF mice model with bleomycin firstly and found that the expression of SMARCA4 was mainly enhanced in alveolar type II(ATII)cells.Moreover,we established an alveolar epithelium-specific SMARCA4-deleted SP-C-rtTA/(tetO)7-Cre/SMARCA4f/f mice(SOSM4D/D)model,as well as a new SMARCA4-deleted alveolar type II(ATII)-like mle-12 cell line.We found that the bleomycin-induced PF was more aggressive in SOSM4D/D mice.Also,the proliferation of ATII cells was decreased with the loss of SMARCA4 in vivo and in vitro.In addition,we observed increased proliferation of ATII cells accompanied by abnormally high expression of SMARCA4 in human PF lung sections.These data uncovered the indispensable role of SMARCA4 in the proliferation of ATII cells,which might affect the progression of PF.Danyi Peng Daozhu Si Rong Zhang Jiang Liu Hao Gou Yunqiu Xia Daiyin Tian Jihong Dai Ke Yang Enmei Liu Yujun Shi Q.Richard Lu Lin Zou Zhou Fu 2017Genes & Diseases2017,4,4:3
9A ROBUST OPTICAL FLOW COMPUTATION显示文摘This paper presents a new method for robust and accurate optical flow estimation.The sig- nificance of this work is twofold.Firstly,the idea of bi-directional scheme is adopted to reduce the model error of optical flow equation,which allows the second order Taylor's expansion of optical flow equation for accurate solution without much extra computational burden;Secondly,this paper establishs a new optical flow equation based on LSCM (Local Structure Constancy Model) instead of BCM (Brightness Constancy Model),namely the optical flow equation does not act on scalar but on tensor-valued (ma- trix-valued) field,due to the two reason:(1) structure tensor-value contains local spatial structure information,which provides us more useable cues for computation than scalar;(2) local image structure is less sensitive to illumination variation than intensity,which weakens the disturbance of non-uniform illumination in real sequences.Qualitative and quantitative results for synthetic and real-world scenes show that the new method can produce an accurate and robust results.Lu Zongqing XieWeixin Pei Jihong 2007Journal of Electronics(China)2007,24,5:2
10Synthesis and characterization of a sensitive and selective Fe^(3+) fluorescent sensor based on novel sulfonated calix[4]arene-based host-guest complex显示文摘A novel fluorescent sensor was prepared from sulfonated calix[4]arene(SC4A)by the host-guest com-plexation method using the fluorescent dye rhodamine B(RB)as a structure-directing agent.The crystal structure of the host-guest complex(RB@(SC4A)_(3))was confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies while its performance and sensing mechanism for metal ion pollutants were characterized using fluorescence and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies.The results showed that RB@(SC4A)_(3) had a triangular branch structure resulting from host-guest mediation of the interactions between the three SC4A host molecules and the three terminal groups of the guest molecule RB.The host-guest complex exhibited sensitive and selective sensing towards Fe^(3+)ions via a fluorescence quenching mechanism.The results indicated that RB@(SC4A)_(3) could be a promising sensitive and selective fluorescent sensor for metal ion pollutants mon-itoring.It also provided new insights into the synthesis of calixarene-based host-guest complex.Ran Cen Ming Liu Jihong Lu Weifang Zhang Jingjing Dai Xi Zeng Zhu Tao Xin Xiao 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,5:2

12Development of lunar regolith composite and structure via laser-assisted sintering显示文摘Aiming at the exploration and resource utilization activities on the Moon,in situ resource utilization and in situ manufacturing are proposed to minimize the dependence on the ground transportation supplies.In this paper,a laser-assisted additive manufacturing process is developed to fabricate lunar regolith composites with PA12/SiO2 mixing powders.The process parameters and composite material compositions are optimized in an appropriate range through orthogonal experiments to establish the relationship of process–structure–property for lunar regolith composites.The optimal combination of composite material compositions and process parameters are mixing ratio of 50/50 in volume,laser power of 30 W,scanning speed of 3500 mm/s,and scanning hatch space of 0.2 mm.The maximum tensile strength of lunar regolith composites reaches 9.248 MPa,and the maximum depth of surface variation is 120.79μm,which indicates poor powder fusion and sintering quality.Thereafter,the mechanical properties of laser-sintered lunar regolith composites are implemented to the topology optimization design of complex structures.The effectiveness and the feasibility of this laser-assisted process are potentially developed for future lightweight design and manufacturing of the solar panel installed on the lunar rover.Hua ZHAO Lu MENG Shaoying LI Jihong ZHU Shangqin YUAN Weihong ZHANG 2022Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2022,17,1:1
13The structure-directing effect of n-propylamine in the crystallization of open-framework aluminophosphates显示文摘Using n-propylamine as a template,deioned water and secondary-butanol(butan-2-ol)as solvents,a three-dimensional(3D)open-framework aluminophosphate[C3NH10]·[HAl3P3O13](1)and a two-dimensional layered aluminophosphate[C3NH10]3·[Al3P4O16](2)were crystallized from the initial mixtures with compositions of Al2O3:2.4 P2O5:5.0 n-propylamine:100 H2O/butan-2-ol,respectively.They are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(TG),and elemental(CHN)analyses and structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=0.85831(13)nm,b=1.7677(3)nm,c=1.04353(12)nm,=123.887(9)°,and V=1.3143(3)nm3.Compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=1.1313(2)nm,b=1.4874(3)nm,c=1.8020(6)nm,=125.07(2)°,and V=2.4817(11)nm3.The results show that the properties of solvent have a significant influence on the structure-directing effect of n-propylamine in the crystallization of the open-framework aluminophosphates.LU HuiYing YAN Yan TONG XiaoQiang YAN WenFu YU JiHong XU RuRen 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,1:1
