1Andrographolide sulfonate ameliorates lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury in mice by down-regulating MAPK and NF-κB pathways显示文摘Acute lung injury(ALI) or acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) is a severe, lifethreatening medical condition characterized by widespread inflammation in the lungs, and is a significant source of morbidity and mortality in the patient population. New therapies for the treatment of ALI are desperately needed. In the present study, we examined the effect of andrographolide sulfonate, a water-soluble form of andrographolide(trade name: Xi-Yan-Ping Injection), on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI and inflammation. Andrographolide sulfonate was administered by intraperitoneal injection to mice with LPS-induced ALI. LPS-induced airway inflammatory cell recruitment and lung histological alterations were significantly ameliorated by andrographolide sulfonate. Protein levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) and serum were reduced by andrographolide sulfonate administration. m RNA levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in lung tissue were also suppressed. Moreover, andrographolide sulfonate markedly suppressed the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) as well as p65 subunit of nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB). In summary, these results suggest that andrographolide sulfonate ameliorated LPS-induced ALI in mice by inhibiting NF-κB and MAPK-mediated inflammatory responses. 3The preoperative serum cystatin-C as an independent prognostic factor for survival in upper tract urothelial carcinoma显示文摘Cystatin-C(Cys-C)has been reported as a valuable prognostic biomarker in various malignancies.However,its effect on upper tract urothelial carci noma(UTUC)patie nts has not bee n investigated before.Thus,to explore the impact of Cys-C on survival outcomes in patients undergoing radical nephroureterectomy(RNU),a total of 538 patients with UTUC who underwent RNU between 2005 and 2014 in our center(West China Hospital,Chengdu,China)were included in this study.Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regressi on an a lyses were performed to assess the relationship betwee n Cys-C and survival outcomes using SPSS versi on 22.0.The cutoff value of Cys-C was set as 1.4 mg I1 using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves and Youden index.The mean age of patients included was 66.1±11.1 years,and the media n follow-up durati on was 38(interquartile ran ge:19-56)mon ths.Overall,162(30.1%)patients had elevated Cys-C,and they were much older and had worse renal function than those with Cys-C<1.4 mg I^-1(both P<0.001).Meanwhile,Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed that the group with elevated Cys-C had worse cancer-specific survival(CSS,P=0.001),disease recurrence-free survival(RFS,P=0.003),and overall survival(OS,P<0.001).Multivariable Cox analysis suggested that the elevated Cys-C was identified as an independent prognostic predictor of CSS(hazard ratio[HR]:1.997,95%confidential interval[CI]:1.331-2.996),RFS(HR:1.429,95%CI:1.009-2.023),and OS(HR:1.989,95%CI:1.366-2.896).In conclusion,our result revealed that the elevated preoperative serum Cys-C was significantly associated with worse outcomes in UTUC patients undergoing RNU.Ping Tan Ming Shi Jie Chen Hang Xu Nan Xie Huan Xu Yong Jiang Jian-Zhong Ai Liang-Ren Liu Lu Yang Qiang Wei 2019Asian Journal of Andrology2019,21,2:7
4Matching design of hydraulic load simulator with aerocraft actuator显示文摘This paper intends to provide theoretical basis for matching design of hydraulic load simulator (HLS) with aerocraft actuator in hardware-in-loop test, which is expected to help actuator designers overcome the obstacles in putting forward appropriate requirements of HLS. Traditional research overemphasizes the optimization of parameters and methods for HLS controllers. It lacks deliberation because experimental results and project experiences indicate different ultimate performance of a specific HLS. When the actuator paired with this HLS is replaced, the dynamic response and tracing precision of this HLS also change, and sometimes the whole system goes so far as to lose control. Based on the influence analysis of the preceding phenomena, a theory about matching design of aerocraft actuator with HLS is presented, together with two paired new concepts of 'Standard Actuator' and 'Standard HLS'. Further research leads to seven important conclusions of matching design, which suggest that appropriate stiffness and output torque of HLS should be carefully designed and chosen for an actuator. 5Optimized coagulation pretreatment alleviates ultrafiltration membrane fouling: The role of floc properties and slow-mixing speed on mechanisms of chitosan-assisted coagulation显示文摘To alleviate ultrafiltration(UF) membrane fouling, the pre-coagulation of poly-aluminum chloride(PACl) with the aid of chitosan(CTS) was conducted for synthetic humic acid–kaolin water treatment. Pre-coagulation of three molecular weights(MW) CTSs(50–190 kDa(CTSL), 190–310 kDa(CTSM) and 310–375 kDa(CTSH)) was optimized with slow-mixing speeds of 30, 60 and 90 r/min, respectively. The removal efficiency and floc properties as well as membrane fouling were analyzed, and were compared to results obtained by conventional coagulation with PACl. Results showed that variations in floc properties could be ascribed to the coagulation mechanisms of CTS_L/CTS_M/CTS_H at different slow-mixing speeds, resulting in reduced UF membrane fouling. Specifically, at the low speed of 30 r/min, all three CTS types produced flocs with similar properties, while CTSLresulted in the lowest removal efficiency and aggravated irreversible fouling. At the appropriate speed of 60 r/min, CTSMgenerated the most compact flocs with the combined effects of bridging and path mechanisms. The compact cake layer formed could alleviate irreversible fouling,which was beneficial for prolonging the operation of the UF membrane. At the high speed of90 r/min, CTSHformed fragile flocs and aggravated irreversible membrane fouling. 6Traffic emission and its impact on air quality in Guangzhou area显示文摘A comprehensive field measurement was set up in Guangzhou City of China and the key was placed on NO\-x and O\-3 pollution. The results indicated that the average driving speed of vehicle was only 14 km/h in downtown with high frequency of idle and acceleration. Upward fluxes of CO and NO were observed in Dongfeng Street. NO\-x annual mean concentration in urban area increased year by year, and NO\-x was identified as the most important pollutant since 1995. Photochemical smog pollution was serious in general, spatial and seasonal distribution of O\-3 was observed. O\-3 concentration was kept in a high level in autumn, and its formation was restrained in summer due to frequent thunderstorm and high humidity. 7Microstructure and corrosion behavior of electroless deposited Ni-P/CeO_2 coating显示文摘Electroless Ni-P/nano-CeO_2 composite coating was prepared in acidic condition,and its microstructure and corrosive property were compared with its CeO_2-free counterpart.Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectrometer were used to examine surface morphology and structure of the as-plated coating.Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM) were used to study the coating's phase change at high temperature.The coating's corrosive behavior in 3%NaCl+5%H_2SO_4 solution was also investigated.The results showed that Ni-P coating had partial amorphous structure mixed with nano-crystals,while the Ni-P/CeO_2 coating had perfect amorphous structure.In high-temperature condition,Ni_3P precipitation and Ni crystallization took place in both coatings but at different temperatures,while the Ni-P/CeO_2 coating had sintered phase of NiCe_2O_4 spinels.The anti-corrosion property was better in the CeO_2-containing coating,and this was due to its less liability to undergo local-cell corrosion than its CeO_2-free counterpart.Ni-P/CeO_2 coating's pure amorphous structure was the result of Ni's hindered crystal-typed deposition and P's promoted deposition.Hui Ming Jin Shi Hang Jiang Lin Nan Zhang 2008Chinese Chemical Letters2008,19,11:2
8Trace Ir(Ⅲ)complex enhanced electrochemiluminescence of AIE-active Pdots in aqueous media显示文摘Trace Ir(Ⅲ)complex enhanced aggregation-induced electrochemiluminescence(AIECL)of poly-tetraphenylethene(p TPE)in aqueous media was investigated for the first time.The poly-TPE end-capped by Ir(Ⅲ)complex(Ir@p TPE)and its corresponding model polymer poly-TPE(Ph@pTPE)could be synthesized by Suzuki coupling polymerization reaction of 1,2-bis(4-bromophenyl)-1,2-diphenylethene(M-1)with 1,2-diphenyl-1,2-bis(4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenyl)ethene(M-2)and the continuous Suzuki coupling end-capped reaction of poly-TPE-pinacol boronate with(pq)2 Ir(pico)Br and bromobenzene,respectively.Subsequently,the corresponding Ir@p TPE Pdots and Ph@p TPE Pdots encapsulated with poly(styrene-co-maleicanhydride)(PSMA)could be obtained by nanoprecipitation method.Compared with Ph@p TPE Pdots,the Ir@p TPE Pdots with a trace amount of Ir(Ⅲ)complex(1.34‰of Ir(Ⅲ)content,wt)could exhibit 9.9-fold enhancement of the electrochemiluminescence(ECL)signal for visual emission.This work provided a novel strategy on designing highly efficient ECL materials based on trace Ir(Ⅲ)-end capping AIE-active polymer dots.Hang Gao Nan Zhang Yang Li Wei Zhao Yiwu Quan Yixiang Cheng Hong-Yuan Chen Jing-Juan Xu 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,5:2
9Effect of protrusion amount on gas ingestion of radial rim seal显示文摘In this paper, the effect of different amount of protrusion on various parameters in rotor–stator system was experimentally studied by measuring CO_2 concentration and pressure, in order to obtain the optimal protrusion amount.The parameters of different dimensionless sealing flow were measured under the condition that the annulus Reynolds number was 4.39 × 10~5 and the rotating Reynolds number was 1.05 × 10~6.The results show that the change of the amount of protrusions has little effect on the static pressure in the cavity, and the static pressure change near the sealing ring is almost negligible.But the total pressure and sealing efficiency increase first and then decrease with the increase of the amount of protrusion.The variation of power consumption is the same.A complex vortex structure will appear at the high radius region when the protrusion is installed.On the other hand, the protrusion can effectively reduce the minimum sealing flow of the rotor–stator cavity.Furthermore, considering the sealing efficiency and power consumption,the best range of the protrusion amount is about 36.The ratio near this range can optimally balance the alleviation of the gas ingestion and the reduction of the power consumption.Zeyu WU Xiang LUO Nan CAO Xue LI Hang CHEN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,3:2

12Preparation of phospholipid-based polycarbonate urethanes for potential applications of blood-contacting implants显示文摘Polyurethanes are widely used in interventional devices due to the excellent physicochemical property.However,non-specific adhesion and severe inflammatory response of ordinary polyurethanes may lead to severe complications of intravenous devices.Herein,a novel phospholipid-based polycarbonate urethanes(PCUs)were developed via two-step solution polymerization by direct synthesis based on functional raw materials.Furthermore,PCUs were coated on biomedical metal sheets to construct biomimetic anti-fouling surface.The results of stress–strain curves exhibited excellent tensile properties of PCUs films.Differential scanning calorimetry results indicated that the microphase separation of such PCUs polymers could be well regulated by adjusting the formulation of chain extender,leading to different biological response.In vitro blood compatibility tests including bovine serum albumin adsorption,fibrinogen adsorption and denaturation,platelet adhesion and whole-blood experiment showed superior performance in inhibition non-specific adhesion of PCUs samples.Endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells culture tests further revealed a good anti-cell adhesion ability.Finally,animal experiments including ex vivo blood circulation and subcutaneous inflammation animal experiments indicated a strong ability in anti-thrombosis and histocompatibility.These results high light the strong anti-adhesion property of phospholipid-based PCUs films,which may be applied to the blood-contacting implants such as intravenous catheter or antithrombotic surface in the future.Peichuang Li Wanhao Cai Xin Li Kebing Wang Lei Zhou Tianxue You Rui Wang Hang Chen Yuancong Zhao Jin Wang Nan Huang 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,5:1
13Recent advances in cardiovascular stent for treatment of in-stent restenosis:Mechanisms and strategies显示文摘Treatments of atherogenesis,one of the most common cardiovascular diseases(CVD),are continuously being made thanks to innovation and an increasingly in-depth knowledge of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty(PTCA),the most revolutionary medical procedure used for vascular restoration.Combined with an expanding balloon,vascular stents used at stricture sites enable the long-time restoration of vascular permeability.However,complication after stenting,in-stent restenosis(ISR),hinders the advancement of vascular stents and are associated with high medical costs for patients for decades years.Thus,the development of a high biocompatibility stent with improved safety and efficiency is urgently needed.This review provides an overview of current advances and potential technologies for the modification of stents for better treatment and prevention of ISR.In particular,the mechanisms of in-stent restenosis are investigated and summarized with the aim to comprehensively understanding the pathogenesis of stent complications.Then,according to different therapeutic functions,the current stent modification strategies are reviewed,including polymeric drug eluting stents,biological friendly stents,prohealing stents,and gene stents.Finally,the review provides an outlook of the challenges in the design of stents with optimal properties.Therefore,this review is a valuable and practical guideline for the development of cardiovascular stents.Hang Yao Yuwei He Jinrong Ma Lang Jiang Jingan Li Jin Wang Nan Huang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,9:1

15Oreocharis xieyongii,an unusual new species of Gesneriaceae from western Hunan,China显示文摘A new species,Oreocharis xieyongii T.Deng,D.G.Zhang&H.Sun,from Hunan Province,central China,is described.The combination of purple zygomorphic corolla with longer adaxial lobes and exserted stamens defines the species and discriminates it from all other current Oreocharis species.Morphological traits of the new species were compared to those of two similar species,Oreocharis xiangguiensis and 0.rubrostriata.Phylogenetic analysis indicates that the new species is nested within the Oreocharis.Although only half of Oreocharis species were included in our study,evolutionary character analysis indicates that the ancestral states of the genus are likely the purple corolla,longer abaxial lip and inserted stamens.The longer adaxial lip is perhaps an apomorphy and only present in O.xieyongii and O.rubrostriata.Both morphological and molecular evidence suggest that O.xieyongii is a taxon new to science.Zhen-Yu Lv Ziyoviddin Yusupov Dai-Gui Zhang Ya-Zhou Zhang Xiao-Shuang Zhang Nan Lin Komiljon Tojibaev Hang Sun Tao Deng 2022Plant Diversity2022,44,2:1
16The genome of the warm-season turfgrass African bermudagrass (Cynodon transvaalensis)显示文摘Cynodon species can be used for multiple purposes and have high economic and ecological significance.However,the genetic basis of the favorable agronomic traits of Cynodon species is poorly understood,partially due to the limited availability of genomic resources.In this study,we report a chromosome-scale genome assembly of a diploid Cynodon species,C.transvaalensis,obtained by combining Illumina and Nanopore sequencing,BioNano,and Hi-C.The assembly contains 282 scaffolds(~423.42 Mb,N50=5.37 Mb),which cover~93.2%of the estimated genome of C.transvaalensis(~454.4Mb).Furthermore,90.48%of the scaffolds(~383.08 Mb)were anchored to nine pseudomolecules,of which the largest was 60.78Mb in length.Evolutionary analysis along with transcriptome comparison provided a preliminary genomic basis for the adaptation of this species to tropical and/or subtropical climates,typically with dry summers.The genomic resources generated in this study will not only facilitate evolutionary studies of the Chloridoideae subfamily,in particular,the Cynodonteae tribe,but also facilitate functional genomic research and genetic breeding in Cynodon species for new leading turfgrass cultivars in the future.Fengchao Cui Geli Taier Manli Li Xiaoxia Dai Nan Hang Xunzhong Zhang Xiangfeng Wang Kehua Wang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
17Classified denoising method for laser point cloud data of stored grain bulk surface based on discrete wavelet threshold显示文摘Surfaces of stored grain bulk are often reconstructed from organized point sets with noise by 3-D laser scanner in an online measuring system.As a result,denoising is an essential procedure in processing point cloud data for more accurate surface reconstruction and grain volume calculation.A classified denoising method was presented in this research for noise removal from point cloud data of the grain bulk surface.Based on the distribution characteristics of cloud point data,the noisy points were divided into three types:The first and second types of the noisy points were either sparse points or small point cloud data deviating and suspending from the main point cloud data,which could be deleted directly by a grid method;the third type of the noisy points was mixed with the main body of point cloud data,which were most difficult to distinguish.The point cloud data with those noisy points were projected into a horizontal plane.An image denoising method,discrete wavelet threshold(DWT)method,was applied to delete the third type of the noisy points.Three kinds of denoising methods including average filtering method,median filtering method and DWT method were applied respectively and compared for denoising the point cloud data.Experimental results show that the proposed method remains the most of the details and obtains the lowest average value of RMSE(Root Mean Square Error,0.219)as well as the lowest relative error of grain volume(0.086%)compared with the other two methods.Furthermore,the proposed denoising method could not only achieve the aim of removing noisy points,but also improve self-adaptive ability according to the characteristics of point cloud data of grain bulk surface.The results from this research also indicate that the proposed method is effective for denoising noisy points and provides more accurate data for calculating grain volume.Shao Qing Xu Tao Yoshino Tatsuo Song Nan Zhu Hang 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:1
18Roadmap of amorphous metal-organic framework for electrochemical energy conversion and storage显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),a well-known coordination network involving potential voids,have attracted attention for energy conversion and storage.As far as is known,MOFs are not only believed to be crystalline.Emerging amorphous MOFs(aMOFs)are starting as supplementary to crystalline MOF(cMOF)in various electrochemical energy fields owing to intrinsic superiorities over crystalline states,greater ease of processing,and distinct physical and chemical properties.aMOFs retain the basic skeletons and connectivity of building units but without any long-range order.Such structural features over long range possess the isotropy without grain boundaries,resulting in fast ions flux and uniform distribution.Simultaneously,distinct shortrange characteristics provide diverse pore confined environment and abundant active sites,and thus accelerate mass transport and charge transfer during electrochemical reactions.Deep understandings and controllable design of aMOF may broaden the opportunities for both scientific researches beyond crystalline materials and practical applications.To date,comprehensive reviews about aMOFs in the fields of energy conversion and storage remain woefully underrepresented.Herein,we summarize the roadmap of aMOF from the development,structural design,opportunity,application,bottleneck,and perspective.In-depth structure-activity relationships with aMOF chemistry are highlighted in the typical electrochemical energy conversion like water oxidation and energy storage,including supercapacitor and battery.The combination of disordered nature at long range and short range,alongside the dynamic structural changes,is promising to reinforce cognition of aMOF domains with MOF versatility,shedding light on the design for efficient electrochemical energy applications via amorphization.Hang Wang Qi Yang Nan Zheng Xingwu Zhai Tao Xu Zhixin Sun Liang Wu Min Zhou 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:1
19Development of a double antibodies sandwich ELISA for the detection of avian leukosis virus subgroup J based on monoclonal antibodies against gp85显示文摘Avian leukosis virus(ALV)belongs to the genus Alpharetrovirus of the family Retroviridae and can cause various types of neoplastic diseases,even mortality in infected chickens[1].ALV is categorized into seven subgroups,including A,B,C,D,E,J,and K,based on the pathogenicity and antibody neutralization characteristics[2].The subgroup E is endogenous and transmitted by Mendelian inheritance.The subgroups A,B,C,D,J,and K are exogenous and oncogenic,transmitted horizontally and vertically and caused different pathological lesions[3].Among them,subgroups A and B were most common in commercial poultry and subgroup J is the major cause for myeloid leukosis and nephromas in broilers.In 1980,ALV subgroup J(ALV-J)was first isolated and identified from infected broilers in Britain.It caused significant economic losses in the poultry industry because of increased myelocytomas and other tumors[4].In China,ALV-J was first detected in broilers in 1999 and,subsequently,spread to other chicken types.Compared to other ALV subgroups,ALV-J has been a serious issue in China poultry industry since 2007.Currently,there is no effective vaccine and drugs against ALV-J infection;thus,early detection and elimination of ALV-positive breeder chickens are key measures to block vertical and horizontal ALV-J transmission.Given the importance of ALV to the poultry industry,many ALV detection methods,including virus isolation,immunofluorescence assays,neutralization tests,reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(PCR)or real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR-based molecular diagnosis ways,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA)have been developed.Among them,ELISA is widely used for its efficiency,convenience,and sensitivity.Yun et al.[5]developed an antigen-capture ELISA for the detection of ALV based on highly conserved antigen p27.Yu et al.[6]exploited a colloidal gold test strip specific for the detection of ALV p27 antigen.These antigen capture-based serological detection methods share obviously simple,accurate,and rapid advantages in comparison with conventional time-consuming methods of indirect immunofluorescence assay or neutralization tests.However,it is difficult to identify different subgroups of ALV using p27-coated antibodies.Lili Cao Panpan Zhao He Ding Nan Wang Xue Zhang Shuxian Yuan Hang Dong Yanbing Guo Xinhua Yao Qinlei Yu Hongze Shao Pengtao Gong 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,10:1
