| 2 | Association of Overlapped and Un-overlapped Comorbidities with COVID-19 Severity and Treatment Outcomes: A Retrospective Cohort Study from Nine Provinces in China显示文摘Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.Methods A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of COVID-19.Results Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two weeks.Conclusion Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. | 4 | Role of PLC-PIP2 and cAMP-PKA Signal Pathways in Radiation-induced Immune-suppressing Effect显示文摘Objective The purpose of the present study was to observe the changes in CD4+CD25+Nrp1+Treg cells after irradiation with different doses and explore the possible molecular mechanisms involved. Methods ICR mice and mouse lymphoma cell line(EL-4 cells) was used. The expressions of CD4,CD25,Nrp1,calcineurin and PKC-α were detected by flow cytometry. The expressions of TGF-β1,IL-10,PKA and cAMP were estimated with ELISA. Results At 12 h after irradiation,the expression of Nrp1 increased significantly in 4.0 Gy group,compared with sham-irradiation group(P<0.05) in the spleen and thymus,respectively,when ICR mice received whole-body irradiation(WBI). Meanwhile the synthesis of Interleukin 10(IL-10) and transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) increased significantly after high dose irradiation(HDR)(> or = 1.0 Gy). In addition,the expression of cAMP and PKA protein increased,while PKC-α,calcineurin decreased at 12h in thymus cells after 4.0 Gy X-irradiation. While TGF-β1 was clearly inhibited when the PLC-PIP2 signal pathway was stimulated or the cAMP-PKA signal pathway was blocked after 4.0 Gy X-irradiation,this did not limit the up-regulation of CD4+CD25+Nrp1+Treg cells after ionizing radiation. Scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM)) were used to examine the oxidized film's morphology and the structure after oxidation. Secondary ion mass spectrum (SIMS) method was used to examine the binding energy change of chromium caused by La-doping and its in?uence on formation of Cr2O3 film. Laser Raman spectrum was used to examine the tress changes within oxidized films. It was found that lanthanum implantation remarkably reduced the isothermal oxidizing rate of Co-40Cr and improved the anti-cracking and anti-spalling properties of Cr2O3 film. The reasons were that the implanted lanthanum reduced the grain size and internal stress of Cr2O3 oxide, increased the high temperature plasticity of oxidized film. | 10 | Effects of Huangban Bianxing One decoction combined with ranibizumab on treating exudative age-related macular degeneration显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine formula Huangban Bianxing One decoction(HBOD)combined with ranibizumab for treating exudative age-related macular degeneration(AMD)patients.METHODS:Totally 75 cases with exudative AMD(75 eyes)were enrolled in this study and randomly divided into two groups to receive either HBOD with ranibizumab or only ranibizumab.Early treatment diabetic retinopathy study(ETDRS)letters for the best corrected visual acuity,center macular thickness(CMT),height of the lesion,fundus hemorrhage area,fundus fluorescein leakage area as the main outcomes and safety indexes were estimated and compared before and after treatment for 3 or 6 months.RESULTS:Comparing with the before treatment,ETDRS letter scores of both groups after treatment at month 3 obtained a greater improvement(P<0.05),but the significant improvement only existed in the HBOD+ranibizumab group at month 6(P<0.01),and better than the ranibizumab group(P<0.05).At month 3,the CMT and lesion height of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05)and the HBOD+ranibizumab group had a similar result at month6(P<0.01).The hemorrhage area and fluorescein leakage area of the HBOD+ranibizumab group were also significantly reduced and also smaller than those of the ranibizumab group at month 6(P<0.01 or P<0.05).During treatment,no significant adverse events relating to HBOD or ranibizumab treatment were elucidated.CONCLUSION:HBOD combined with ranibizumab can improve visual acuity and reduce hemorrhage and fluorescein leakage of patients with exudative AMD.These results also indicated that HBOD may function as an effective and safe adjuvant drug for exudative AMD. | Luo Dan Deng Tingting Yuan Wei Deng Hui Meng Huan Jin Ming | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019，39，6： | 3 |

| 12 | The first data release(DR1) of the LAMOST regular survey显示文摘The Large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST) general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the LAMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in June 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the LAMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in June 2013. The LAMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio(SNR) ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as LAMOST DR1 under the LAMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters: late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra(1 061 918 entries), A-type stars(100 073 entries), and M-type stars(121 522 entries). This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. | 18 | Mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor reduces cell apoptosis via upregulating HSP70 in SHSY-5Y cells显示文摘Background:Mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor(MANF)is a new candidate growth factor for dopaminergic neurons against endoplasmic reticulum stress(ER stress).HSP70 family,a chaperon like heat shock protein family,was proved to be involved in the MANF induced survival pathway in 6-OHDA treated SHSY-5Y cells.However,the ER stress relative transcriptome,in MANF signaling cascades is still investigated.The involvement of HSP70,a 70kd member of HSP70 family,need further to be verified.Methods:The cell apoptosis was assayed by MTT,TUNEL staining and western blot of cleaved Caspase-3.The differentially expressed genes in SHSY-5Y cells under different conditions(control,6-OHDA,6-OHDA+MANF)were investigated by RNA-seq.Expression of HSP70 was further confirmed by real-time PCR.RNAi knockdown for HSP70 was performed to investigate the role of HSP70 in the MANF signaling pathway.Results:MANF inhibits 6-OHDA-induced apoptosis in SHSY-5Y cells.Six ER stress relative genes(HSP70,GRP78,xbp-1,ATF-4,ATF-6,MAPK)were found enriched in 6-OHDA+MANF treatment group.HSP70 was the most significantly up-regulated gene under 6-OHDA+MANF treatment in SHSY-5Y cells.RNAi knockdown for HSP70 inhibits the protective effects of MANF against 6-OHDA toxicity in SHSY-5Y cells.Conclusion:MANF exerts a protective role against 6-OHDA induced apoptosis in SHSY-5Y cells via up-regulating some ER stress genes,including HSP70 family members.The HSP70 expression level plays a key role in MANFmediated survival pathway. | Hui Sun Ming Jiang Xing Fu Qiong Cai Jingxing Zhang Yanxin Yin Jia Guo Lihua Yu Yun Jiang Yigang Liu Liang Feng Zhiyu Nie Jianmin Fang Lingjing Jin | 2017 | Translational Neurodegeneration2017，6，1： | 2 |
