| 1 | Cancer incidence and mortality in Guangdong province,2012显示文摘Objective: To estimate the cancer incidence and mortality in 2012 in Guangdong province by analyzing the cancer data of selected population-based cancer registries in Guangdong province in 2012.Methods: Eight of nine population-based cancer registries submitted cancer data to the Guangdong Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention(Guangdong CDC), whose data met the data quality criteria were included for analysis. The statistics of selected registries, stratified by areas, gender, age and cancer types, were used to estimate the cancer incidence and mortality in 2012 in Guangdong province according to the population data in Guangdong province. Segi's population and the national census population in 2000 were used for calculating the age-standardized rates(ASR). Results: A total of 15,084,942 people, accounted for 17.47% of all population in Guangdong province, were covered in 8 selected population-based cancer registries in 2012. The percentage of cases morphologically verified(MV%) and the percentage of death certificate-only cases(DCO%) were 72.84% and 0.87%, respectively, and the mortality/incidence(M/I) ratio was 0.56. It was estimated that there were 211,300 new cancer cases and 117,300 cancer deaths. The incidence crude rate(CR), the ASR by Chinese standard population(ASRC) and by world standard population(ASRW), and the accumulated rate(AR)(0-74 years) were 250.20/100,000(265.39/100,000 in males, 234.29/100,000 in females), 207.04/100,000, 201.34/100,000 and 22.91%, respectively, in Guangdong province in 2012. The incidence CR and ASRC were 267.25/100,000 and 221.43/100,000 in urban areas, and 215.51/100,000 and 178.77/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. The death CR, ASRC, ASRW and AR(0-74 years) were 148.44/100,000(190.95/100,000 in males, 105.06/100,000 in females), 103.73/100,000, 102.44/100,000 and 11.68%, respectively, in Guangdong province in 2012. The death CR and ASRC were 164.57/100,000 and 105.46/100,000 in urban areas, and 124.63/100,000 and 99.97/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. Top 5 cancers were lung cancer, liver cancer, female breast cancer, colon cancer and nasopharyngeal cancers(NPC), and top 5 death cancers were lung cancer, liver cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer, and NPC in Guangdong province in 2012.Conclusions: Lung cancer, liver cancer, female breast cancer, colon cancer and NPC were the major economic cancer burdens and health concerns in Guangdong province in 2012. | 2 | Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait. | Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,9: | 6 |

| 15 | Promoting the protonation step on the interface of titanium dioxide for selective photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)to CH_(4)by using red phosphorus quantum dots显示文摘Enhancing the selectivity of hydrocarbon in CO_(2)is a great challenge.Herein,taking widely-used and highly-stable TiO_(2)as an example,we found that the protonation step,the key step for CH_(4)production,can change from endoergic to exoergic by using red phosphorus quantum dots.Consequently,the main product in CO_(2)reduction can be shifted from CO into CH_(4).The preparation method is very simple,which just ultrasonically treating the red P in the presence of TiO_(2).With an initial rate of CH_(4)production of 4.69μmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),under simulated solar light,it manifests a significant 49.4-fold enhancement of CH_(4)yield over TiO_(2).Density functional calculation indicates that the red P optimizes the surface electronic structure.The Gibbs free energy for CHO^(*)formation(^(-1).12 eV)becomes lower than the desorption energy of the CO(-0.01 eV)when red P is introduced.This indicates that the CO intermediates on the surface are rapidly protonated to produce CHO^(*).Subsequently,the CHO^(*)will be converted into CH_(4)instead of being desorbed from the surface to produce CO.This study demonstrates that red P quantum dot is a promising candidate for the development of efficient photocatalyst for CO_(2)photoreduction to CH_(4)under solar light irradiation. | Yinglong Lu Minghao Liu Ningchao Zheng Xi He Ruiting Hu Ruilin Wang Quan Zhou Zhuofeng Hu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,4: | 1 |

LiNd(PO_3)_4(LNP) crystal was reported to be one of the most excellent laser crystals with high Nd3+ concentration, and their nanocrystals synthesized via improved combustion method for the first time had strong emission intensity and long fluorescence lifetime of 122 μs. Besides,LiNd(PO_3)_4 nanocrystals can be dispersed in mixed solvents of DMSO/TBE(CHBr2 CHBr2) to form a transparent colloidal dispersion, and Judd-Ofelt theory was used to evaluate their optical parameters.
