| 9 | Investigation of Nanosecond Pulsed Discharge and Its Audio Characteristics in Atmospheric-pressure Air显示文摘There was no well-resolved mechanism of audible noise caused by corona discharge on UHV transmission lines. Hence we measured the sound pressure of pulsed discharges between needle-plane electrodes under different discharge conditions in air, for revealing the intrinsic relationship between discharge and its audible noise(AN). The relationship between discharge parameters and audio characte- ristics was drawn from the analysis of the electric and sound signals obtained in experiments. Experiment results showed that nanosecond pulsed discharges produce the sound pressure with a microsecond pulse lagging behind the discharge pulse in their waveforms. The peak value of the sound pulse decreases and its high frequency component gradually attenuates, when the measuring distance from discharges increases. The sound pulses correlate with the discharge current and voltage significantly, especially the current. | 10 | Genetic variability for yield and fiber related traits in genetically modified cotton显示文摘Background:Cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)is grown for fiber and oil purposes in tropical and sub-tropical areas of the world.Pakistan is the 4th largest producer of cotton.It has a significant contribution in the GDP of Pakistan.Therefore,the present study was performed to assess the genetic variations and genetic diversity of yield and fiber quality traits in cotton and to analyze the associations present among them.Results:Analysis of variance exhibited significant variation for all studied traits except total number of nodes and the height to node ratio.The phenotypic coefficient of variation was higher than the genotypic coefficient of variation for all studied traits.Plant height,monopodial branches,total number of bolls,lint index,seed index,and seed cotton yield displayed high heritabilities in a broad sense with maximum genetic advanee.Correlation analysis revealed that seed cotton yield had a significant positive association with plant height,the nu mber of monopodial branches,the nu mber of sympodia I branches,ginning outturn(GOT),the number of bolls,seed per boll,seed index,uniformity index,the number of sympodial branches,reflectance,and seed index at the genotypic level while a significant positive relationship was observed with plant height,the number of sympodial branches,boll number,and GOT.Plant height,monopodial branches,GOT,boll weight,seeds per boll,and short fiber index exerted direct positive effects on seed cotton yield.The first 6 principal component analysis(PCs)out of the total fourteen PCs displayed eigenvalues(>1)and had maximum share to total variability(82.79%).The attributes that had maximum share to total divergence in eluded plant height,uniformity index,the nu mber of sympodial branches,seed per boll,GOT,seed cotton yield,and short fiber index.Conclusion:The genotype AA-802,IUB-13,FH-159,FH-458,and CIM-595 were genetically diverse for most of the yield and fiber quality traits and could be utilized for the selection of better performing genotypes for further improvement. | SAHAR Adeela ZAFAR Muhammad Mubashar RAZZAQ Abdul MANAN Abdul HAROON Muhammad SAJID Sunaina REHMAN Abdul MO Huijuan ASHRAF Muhammad REN Maozhi SHAKEEL Amir YUAN Youlu | 2021 | Journal of Cotton Research2021,4,3: | 1 |

| 14 | NAD+associated genes as potential biomarkers for predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer显示文摘Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)plays an essential role in cellular metabolism,mitochondrial homeostasis,inflammation,and senescence.However,the role of NAD+-regulated genes,including coding and long non-coding genes in cancer development is poorly understood.We constructed a prediction model based on the expression level of NAD+metabolism-related genes(NMRGs).Furthermore,we validated the expression of NMRGs in gastric cancer(GC)tissues and cell lines;additionally,β-nicotinamide mononucleotide(NMN),a precursor of NAD+,was used to treat the GC cell lines to analyze its effects on the expression level of NMRGs lncRNAs and cellular proliferation,cell cycle,apoptosis,and senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP).A total of 13 NMRGs-related lncRNAs were selected to construct prognostic risk signatures,and patients with high-risk scores had a poor prognosis.Some immune checkpoint genes were upregulated in the high-risk group.In addition,cell cycle,epigenetics,and senescence were significantly downregulated in the high-risk group.Notably,we found that the levels of immune cell infiltration,including CD8 T cells,CD4 naïve T cells,CD4 memory-activated T cells,B memory cells,and naïve B cells,were significantly associated with risk scores.Furthermore,the treatment of NMN showed increased proliferation of AGS and MKN45 cells.In addition,the expression of SASP factors(IL6,IL8,IL10,TGF-β,and TNF-α)was significantly decreased after NMN treatment.We conclude that the lncRNAs associated with NAD+metabolism can potentially be used as biomarkers for predicting clinical outcomes of GC patients. | XIANGDONG SUN HUIJUAN WEN FAZHAN LI IHTISHAM BUKHARI FEIFEI REN XIA XUE PENGYUAN ZHENG YANG MI | 2024 | Oncology Research2024,32,2: | 0 |
| 15 | Navigating Chinese cities to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030显示文摘Achieving the 17 United Nations sustainable development goals(SDGs)in China largely depends on the transition of cities toward sustainable development.However,significant knowledge gaps exist in evaluating the SDG index at the city scale and in understanding how to simulate pathways to achieve the 17 SDGs for Chinese cities by 2030.This study aimed to quantify the SDG index of 285 Chinese cities and developed a forecasting model to simulate the performance of each SDG in each city until 2030 using varied scenarios.The results indicated that although the SDG index in Chinese cities increased by 33.97%during 2005–2016,Chinese cities,which continued their past paths,achieved an average of only five SDGs by 2030.To promote the joint achievement of all SDGs,we designed different paths for all SDGs of each of the 285 cities and simulated their SDG index until 2030.Under the scenarios,216 Chinese cities(75.79%)could achieve 9–13 more SDGs in 2030 and the overall SDG index can improve from 74.57 in 2030 to 97.49(target score 100)by adopting more intensive path adjustment.We lastly determined a cost-effective path for each SDG of each city to promote joint achievement of all SDGs by 2030.The proposed simulation model and cost-effective path serve as a foundation for other countries to simulate SDG progress and develop pathways for achieving SDGs in the future. | Huijuan Xiao Zhenci Xu Jingzheng Ren Ya Zhou Ruojue Lin Sheng Bao Long Zhang Shengfang Lu Carman K.M.Lee Jianguo Liu | 2022 | The Innovation2022,3,5: | 0 |
