1Spatio-temporal dynamics of vegetation and its relationship with climate factors Mongolia, China coverage in Inner显示文摘The vegetation coverage dynamics and its relationship with climate factors on different spatial and temporal scales in Inner Mongolia during 2001-2010 were analyzed based on MODIS-NDVI data and climate data.The results indicated that vegetation coverage in Inner Mongolia showed obvious longitudinal zonality,increasing from west to east across the region with a change rate of 0.2/10°N.During 2001-2010,the mean vegetation coverage was 0.57,0.4 and 0.16 in forest,grassland and desert biome,respectively,exhibiting evident spatial heterogeneities.Totally,vegetation coverage had a slight increasing trend during the study period.Across Inner Mongolia,the area of which the vegetation coverage showed extremely significant and significant increase accounted for 11.25% and 29.13% of the area of whole region,respectively,while the area of which the vegetation coverage showed extremely significant and significant decrease accounted for 7.65% and 26.61%,respectively.On inter-annual time scale,precipitation was the dominant driving force of vegetation coverage for the whole region.On inter-monthly scale,the change of vegetation coverage was consistent with both the change of temperature and precipitation,implying that the vegetation growth within a year is more sensitive to the combined effects of water and heat rather than either single climate factor.The vegetation coverage in forest biome was mainly driven by temperature on both inter-annual and inter-monthly scales,while that in desert biome was mainly influenced by precipitation on both the two temporal scales.In grassland biome,the yearly vegetation coverage had a better correlation with precipitation,while the monthly vegetation coverage was influenced by both temperature and precipitation.In grassland biome,the impacts of precipitation on monthly vegetation coverage showed time-delay effects.MU Shaojie YANG Hongfei LI Jianlong CHEN Yizhao GANG Chengcheng ZHOU Wei JU Weimin 2013Journal of Geographical Sciences2013,23,2:28

3Grassland coverage inter-annual variation and its coupling relation with hydrothermal factors in China during 1982-2010显示文摘GIMMS(Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies) NDVI(Normalised Difference Vegetation Index) from 1982 to 2006 and MODIS(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) NDVI from 2001 to 2010 were blended to extract the grass coverage and analyze its spatial pattern. The response of grass coverage to climatic variations at annual and monthly time scales was analyzed. Grass coverage distribution had increased from northwest to southeast across China. During 1982–2010, the mean nationwide grass coverage was 34% but exhibited apparent spatial heterogeneity, being the highest(61.4%) in slope grasslands and the lowest(17.1%) in desert grasslands. There was a slight increase of the grass coverage with a rate of 0.17% per year. Increase in slope grasslands coverage was as high as 0.27% per year, while in the plain grasslands and meadows the grass coverage increase was the lowest(being 0.11% per year and 0.1% per year, respectively). Across China, the grass coverage with extremely significant increase(P<0.01) and significant increase(P<0.05) accounted for 46.03% and 11% of the total grassland area, respectively, while those with extremely significant and significant decrease accounted for only 4.1% and 3.24%, respectively. At the annual time scale, there are no significant correlations between grass coverage and annual mean temperature and precipitation. However, the grass coverage was somewhat affected by temperature in alpine and sub-alpine grassland, alpine and sub-alpine meadow, slope grassland and meadow, while grass coverage in desert grassland and plain grassland was more affected by precipitation. At the monthly time-scale, there are significant correlations between grass coverage with both temperature and precipitation, indicating that the grass coverage is more affected by seasonal fluctuations of hydrothermal conditions. 5Identification of Five Stages of Dike Swarms in the Shanxi-Hebei-Inner Mongolia Border Area and Its Tectonic Implications显示文摘Dike swarms are generally ascribed to intrusion of mantle-source magma result from extension. Basic dike swarms around the Shanxi-Hebei-Inner Mogolia borders in the northern peripheral area of the North China Craton can be divided into five age groups according to isotopic dating: 1800-1700 Ma, 800-700 Ma, 230 Ma, 140-120 Ma, and 50-40 Ma. Geological, petrological and isotope geochemical features of the five groups is investigated in order to explore the variation of the mantle material composition in the concerned area with time. 6Dynamically controlling terahertz wavefronts with cascaded metasurfaces显示文摘Dynamically controlling terahertz(THz)wavefronts in a designable fashion is highly desired in practice.However,available methods working at microwave frequencies do not work well in the THz regime due to lacking suitable tunable elements with submicrometer sizes.Here,instead of locally controlling individual meta-atoms in a THz metasurface,we show that rotating different layers(each exhibiting a particular phase profile)in a cascaded metadevice at different speeds can dynamically change the effective Jonesmatrix property of the whole device,thus enabling extraordinary manipulations on the wavefront and polarization characteristics of a THz beam impinging on the device.After illustrating our strategy based on model calculations,we experimentally demonstrate two proof-of-concept metadevices,each consisting of two carefully designed all-silicon transmissive metasurfaces exhibiting different phase profiles.Rotating two metasurfaces inside the fabricated devices at different speeds,we experimentally demonstrate that the first metadevice can efficiently redirect a normally incident THz beam to scan over a wide solid-angle range,while the second one can dynamically manipulate both the wavefront and polarization of a THz beam.Our results pave the way to achieving dynamic control of THz beams,which is useful in many applications,such as THz radar,and bio-and chemical sensing and imaging.Xiaodong Cai Rong Tang Haoyang Zhou Qiushi Li Shaojie Ma Dongyi Wang Tong Liu Xiaohui Ling Wei Tan Qiong He Shiyi Xiao Lei Zhou 2021Advanced Photonics2021,3,3:8
7Bph30confers resistance to brown planthopperby fortifying sclerenchyma in rice leaf sheaths显示文摘Phloem-feeding insects cause massive losses in agriculture and horticulture.Host plant resistance to phloem-feeding insects is often mediated by changes in phloem composition,which deter insect settling and feeding and decrease viability.Here,we report that rice plant resistance to the phloem-feeding brown planthopper(BPH)is associated with fortification of the sclerenchyma tissue,which is located just beneath the epidermis and a cell layer or two away from the vascular bundle in the rice leaf sheath.We found that BPHs prefer to feed on the smooth and soft region on the surface of rice leaf sheaths called the long-cell block.We identified Bph30 as a rice BPH resistance gene that prevents BPH stylets from reaching the phloem due to the fortified sclerenchyma.Bph30 is strongly expressed in sclerenchyma cells and enhances cellulose and hemicellulose synthesis,making the cell walls stiffer and sclerenchyma thicker.The structurally fortified sclerenchyma is a formidable barrier preventing BPH stylets from penetrating the leaf sheath tissues and arriving at the phloem to feed.Bph30 belongs to a novel gene family,encoding a protein with two leucine-rich domains.Another member of the family,Bph40,also conferred resistance to BPH.Collectively,the fortified sclerenchyma-mediated resistance mechanism revealed in this study expands our understanding of plant-insect interactions and opens a new path for controlling planthoppers in rice.Shaojie Shi Huiying Wang Lingyun Nie Di Tan Cong Zhou Qian Zhang YiLi Bo Du Jianping Guo Jin Huang DiWu Xiaohong Zheng Wei Guan Junhan Shan Lili Zhu Rongzhi Chen Longjian Xue Linda L.Walling Guangcun He 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,10:7
8Tectonic evolution of Tethyan tectonic field, formation of Northern Margin basin and explorative perspective of natural gas in Tarim Basin显示文摘Analyzing the characteristics of the Tethyantectonic field, the authors think that the Tethyan tectonicfield underwent three evolutional stages: closing of Pa-leo-Tethys and rifting of Neo-Tethys from early Permian tolate Triassic, subduction of Neo-Tethys and collision betweenthe Indian plate and the Eurasia plate from Jurassic to earlyof low Tertiary, and collision between the Arab plate and theEurasia plate and the A-type subduction of Indian plate fromlate of low Tertiary to the present. Combining the evolutionof the Tethyan orogenic belt with the characteristics of theNorthern Margin basin, it is suggested that the sedimentaryand tectonic characteristics and types of the Northern Mar-gin basin are controlled by the formation and evolution ofthe Tethyan orogenic belt and the ingression of Tethys. Theevolution of Northern Margin basin can be divided into threedevelopment stages: back-arc foreland basin from late Per-mian to Triassic, the back-arc fault subsidence and depres-sion from Jurassic to the early of low Tertiary, and the reac-tive foreland basin from the late of low Tertiary to the pre-sent. 9Suggestion of a dynamic model of North China basin-range system显示文摘It is found from preliminary studies that previous basin-range models have difficulties in explaining the formation of the Mesozoic North-China basin-range system. 12Simulation analysis theory and experimental verification of air-cushion isolation control of high concrete dams显示文摘To focus on the key scientific problem of process control of dynamic catastrophe of high dams,presented for the first time are the modelling theory of liquid-gas-solid tri-phase coupling of the air-cushion isolation control of high dams and its numerical simulation method,and theoretical description of the complicated dynamics problem of the tri-phase coupling-thermodynamics state-material-contact bi-nonlinearity,as well as the simulation analysis of the key effects of dynamic catastrophe of the air-cushion isolated high dam engineering.The analytic solution of plane-wave with rigid-dam body was created.The simulation comparison of dynamic catastrophe processes of 305 m Jinping arch dam with and without seismic control was carried out,and the results were basically in agreement with that obtained from the large shaking table tests,and verify each other.The entire air-chamber and optimized air-cushion with varying thickness were presented to develop a optimization method.The large shaking table tests of the isolated dam model,which is satisfied with the basic dynamic similarity relations,were performed for the first time.The test data seemed to be convincing and were in agreement with the dynamic simulation results of the tested model,thereby providing an experimental verification to the simulation theory and method.The combination experiments of theoretical model and physical model demonstrated that the hydrodynamic pressure of high arch dams can be reduced by more than 70% as well as the first and third principle stresses of the dam body reduced by more than 20%-30%,thereby the global anti-seismic capacity of the high dam being improved significantly.The results have shown that the air-cushion isolation is the prior developing direction of structural control technology of high concrete dams.LIU HaoWu ZHANG ShaoJie CHEN Jiang SUN Man SUN Lei LI Yi 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,11:6
13Topologically Protected Edge State in Two-Dimensional Su–Schrieffer–Heeger Circuit显示文摘Topological circuits,an exciting feld just emerged over the last two years,have become a very accessible platform for realizing and exploring topological physics,with many of their physical phenomena and potential applications as yet to be discovered.In this work,we design and experimentally demonstrate a topologically nontrivial band structure and the associated topologically protected edge states in an RF circuit,which is composed of a collection of grounded capacitors connected by alternating inductors in the x and y directions,in analogy to the Su–Schriefer–Heeger model.We take full control of the topological invariant(i.e.,Zak phase)as well as the gap width of the band structure by simply tuning the circuit parameters.Excellent agreement is found between the experimental and simulation results,both showing obvious nontrivial edge state that is tightly bound to the circuit boundaries with extreme robustness against various types of defects.Te demonstration of topological properties in circuits provides a convenient and fexible platform for studying topological materials and the possibility for developing fexible circuits with highly robust circuit performance.Shuo Liu Wenlong Gao Qian Zhang Shaojie Ma Lei Zhang Changxu Liu Yuan Jiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2019Research2019,,1:6
14On the Origin of One Basin-Multiple Mountain Couplings in the Mesozoic-Cenozoic Basin-Range Area in Eastern North China显示文摘The basin-range coupling relation is a leading subject of the modern geology. In geometry, relations of this type include couplings between stretched orogenic belt and down-faulted basin, compressional orogenic belt and foreland basin, strike-slip orogenic belt and strike-slip basin and so on. Fault chains are the key for these couplings and there are typical examples for all these cases. The North China down-faulted basin is coupled west with the Tathang uplift, east with the Jiao-Liao Mountains, north with the Yanshan orogenic belt and south with the Dabie orogenic belt,that is to say, the central down-faulted basin and the surrounding orogenic belts bear a coupling relation within a uniform dynamistic system. Study shows that the central down-faulted basin and the North China mantle sub-plume structure have a close relation during their formation. Owing to intensive mantle sub-plume uplifting, the bottom of the lithosphere suffered from resistance, which caused the lithosphere of the eastern North China to be heated, thinned and fault-depressed. Meanwhile, mantle rocks that were detached outwards in the shape of mushroom was dissected by surrounding ductile shearing zones, which lead to decompression and unloading to generate hypomagmas, and a series of mantle-branch structures were formed around the down-faulted basin. 15α-Fe_(2)O_(3)形貌对Au/α-Fe_(2)O_(3)催化一氧化碳氧化反应性能的影响显示文摘负载型纳米金催化剂由于其独特的化学性质在一系列氧化反应中受到广泛关注.其中,一氧化碳氧化不仅在实际应用领域(如汽车尾气处理)发挥重要作用,而且作为一种理想的模型反应用以深入研究和理解催化剂的构效关系.为了获得高效的纳米金催化剂,我们需要把金负载到载体上,载体不仅为金的分散提供必要的表面,而且还会和金产生相互作用,这种金属-载体相互作用对金的氧化态,金颗粒大小及其热稳定性均有重要影响.金属氧化物是负载金最常用的载体.为了提高纳米金催化剂的性能,需要调变金属氧化物的性质.常用的策略是调控金属氧化物的组成、晶相以及晶粒大小.此外,对金属氧化物的形貌进行精细调控也是一种重要的方法,因为具有不同形貌的氧化物可能会暴露出不同的晶面,而且可能具有不同的缺陷位点.α-Fe_(2)O_(3)是一种热稳定性强而且对环境友好的载体,可是有关其形貌对负载金催化剂在一氧化碳氧化反应中性能影响的研究尚不充分.因此,本文采用水热法合成了具有纳米球和纳米棒两种形貌的氧化铁,并采用沉积-沉淀的方法将金纳米颗粒负载于其表面.高分辨透射电镜照片显示,和氧化铁纳米球(α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(S))相比,氧化铁纳米棒(α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(R))的表面更为粗糙,具有更多的缺陷位点.Au和α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(R)之间有更强的金属载体相互作用,导致纳米棒氧化铁上的金纳米颗粒更小而且多呈半球形.相比之下,纳米球氧化铁上的金纳米颗粒较大,多呈球形,且分布不均匀.反应结果表明,Au/α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(R)具有更高的一氧化碳氧化活性.对反应后的催化剂进行表征发现,Au/α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(R)上金颗粒烧结程度较低,平均粒径从1.5增至2.4 nm,而Au/α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(S)上金颗粒烧结较为严重,平均粒径从2.0 nm增加到4.0 nm.氢气程序升温还原结果表明,Au/α-Fe_(2)O_(3)(R)具有更强的还原性,这也促进了其催化活性的提高.Yanan Gao Fu-Kuo Chiang Shaojie Li Long Zhang Peng Wang Emiel J.M.Hensen 2021Chinese Journal of Catalysis2021,42,4:5
16Effects of spatial distribution of soil parameters on soil moisture retrieval from passive microwave remote sensing显示文摘In this paper,we studied the effect of spatial distribution of soil parameters on passive soil moisture retrieval at pixel scale.First,we evaluated the forward microwave emission model and soil moisture retrieval algorithm accuracy through the observa-tion of field experiments.Then,we used soil parameters in different spatial distribution patterns,including random,normal,and uniform distribution,to determine the different levels of heterogeneity on soil moisture retrieval,in order to seek the rela-tionship between heterogeneity and soil moisture retrieval error.Finally,we conducted a controlled heterogeneity effect ex-periment measurements using a Truck-mounted Multi-frequency Radiometer(TMMR) to validate our simulation results.This work has proved that the soil moisture retrieval algorithm had a high accuracy(RMSE=0.049 cm3 cm 3) and can satisfy the need of this research.The simulation brightness temperatures match well with observations,with RMSE=9.89 K.At passive microwave remote sensing pixel scale,soil parameters with different spatial distribution patterns could have different levels of error on soil moisture estimation.Overall,we found that soil moisture with a random distribution in a satellite pixel scale can cause the largest error,with a normal distribution being the second,and a uniform distribution the least due to the smallest het-erogeneity.ZHANG Tao ZHANG LiXin JIANG LingMei ZHAO ShaoJie ZHAO TianJie LI YunQing 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,8:5
17Deterministic Approach to Achieve Full-Polarization Cloak显示文摘Achieving full-polarization(σ)invisibility on an arbitrary three-dimensional(3D)platform is a long-held knotty issue yet extremely promising in real-world stealth applications.However,state-of-the-art invisibility cloaks typically work under a specific polarization because the anisotropy and orientation-selective resonant nature of artificial materials made theσ-immune operation elusive and terribly challenging.Here,we report a deterministic approach to engineer a metasurface skin cloak working under an arbitrary polarization state by theoretically synergizing two cloaking phase patterns required,respectively,at spin-up(σ+)and spin-down(σ−)states.Therein,the wavefront of any light impinging on the cloak can be well preserved since it is a superposition ofσ+andσ−wave.To demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability,several proof-of-concept metasurface cloaks are designed to wrap over a 3D triangle platform at microwave frequency.Results show that our cloaks are essentially capable of restoring the amplitude and phase of reflected beams as if light was incident on a flat mirror or an arbitrarily predesigned shape under full polarization states with a desirable bandwidth of~17.9%,conceiving or deceiving an arbitrary object placed inside.Our approach,deterministic and robust in terms of accurate theoretical design,reconciles the milestone dilemma in stealth discipline and opens up an avenue for the extreme capability of ultrathin 3D cloaking of an arbitrary shape,paving up the road for real-world applications.He-Xiu Xu Yanzhao Wang Chaohui Wang Mingzhao Wang Shaojie Wang Fei Ding Yongjun Huang Xiaokuan Zhang Haiwen Liu Xiaohui Ling Wei Huang 2021Research2021,,1:5
18Novel robust control framework for morphing aircraft显示文摘This paper develops a robust control methodology for a class of morphing aircraft,which is called innovative control effector(ICE) aircraft.For the ICE morphing aircraft,the distributed arrays of hundreds of shape-change devices are employed to stabilize and maneuver the air vehicle.Because the morphing aircraft have the inherent uncertainty and varying dynamics due to the alteration of their configuration,a desired control performance can not be satisfied with a fixed feedback controller.Therefore,a novel control framework including an adaptive flight control law and an adaptive allocation algorithm is proposed.Firstly,a state feedback adaptive control law is designed to guarantee closed-loop stability and state tracking in the presence of uncertain dynamics caused by the wing shape change due to different flight missions.In the control allocation,many distributed arrays are managed in an optimal way to improve the robustness of the system.The scheme is used to an uncertain morphing aircraft model,and the simulation results demonstrate their performance.Chunsheng Liu Shaojie Zhang 2013Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,2:4
19A Model of Debris Flow Forecast Based on the Water-Soil Coupling Mechanism显示文摘Debris flow forecast is an important means of disaster mitigation. However, the accuracy of the statistics-based debris flow forecast is unsatisfied while the mechanism-based forecast is unavailable at the watershed scale because most of existing researches on the initiation mechanism of debris flow took a single slope as the main object. In order to solve this problem, this paper developed a model of debris flow forecast based on the water-soil coupling mechanism at the watershed scale. In this model, the runoff and the instable soil caused by the rainfall in a watershed is estimated by the distributed hydrological model(GBHM) and an instable identification model of the unsaturated soil. Because the debris flow is a special fluid composed of soil and water and has a bigger density, the density estimated by the runoff and instable soil mass in a watershed under the action of a rainfall is employed as a key factor to identify the formation probability of debris flow in the forecast model. The Jiangjia Gulley, a typical debris flow valley with a several debris flow events each year, is selected as a case study watershed to test this forecast model of debris flow. According the observation data of Dongchuan Debris Flow Observation and Research Station, CAS located in Jiangjia Gulley, there were 4 debris flow events in 2006. 20Amino-functionalized porous PDVB with high adsorption and regeneration performance for fluoride removal from water显示文摘Excessive fluoride anions in drinking water are toxic to the health of human beings.In this article,an effective fluoride removal adsorbent on the basis of amino-functionalized porous polydivinylbenzene(PDVB)was prepared through low cost processes,which included solvothermal preparation of porous PDVB and subsequent surface amino-functionalization.The obtained amino-functionalized porous PDVB(A-PDVB)has high surface area of 443 m2 g1 and high adsorption capacity towards fluoride anion up to 105.9 mg g1.Considering adsorbents surface area,the adsorption capacity per unit surface area of A-PDVB is 0.24 mg m2 which is more than 4 times of porous PDVB(0.058 mg m2).The enhanced adsorption performance of A-PDVB was due to amino groups electrostatic interaction coupled with hydrogen bond binding with fluoride anions.In addition,the aminofunctionalized porous PDVB could be regenerated in high efficiency under alkaline conditions.This work not only exhibits the possibility of A-PDVB for application as an environment-friendly adsorbent for fluoride removal but also gives an insight into understanding mechanism of the fluoride anions adsorption onto aminofunctionalized porous PDVB.Yuanyuan Huang Xianbiao Wang Yongfei Xu Shaojie Feng Jin Liu Huanting Wang 2021Green Chemical Engineering2021,2,2:4
