| 2 | DNA-based vaccination induces humoral and cellular immune responses against hepatitis B virus surface antigen in mice without activation of Cmyc显示文摘AIM To develop a safe and effective DNAvaccine for inducing humoral and cellularimmunological responses against hepatitis Bvirus surface antigen(HBsAg).METHODS BALB/c mice were inoculated withNV-HB/s,a recombinant plasmid that had beeninserted S gene of hepatitis B virus genome andcould express HBsAg in eukaryotes.HBsAgexpression was measured by ABC immunohis-tochemical assay,generation of anti-HBs byELISA and cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL),byMTT method,existence of vaccine DNA bySouthern blot hybridization and activation ofoncogene C-myc by in situ hybridization,RESULTS With NV-HB/s vaccination byintramuscular injection,anti-HBs was initiallypositive 2 weeks after inoculation while all micetested were HBsAg positive in the muscles.Thetiters and seroconversion rate of anti-HBs weresteadily increasing as time went on and weredose-dependent.All the mice inoculated with100 μg NV-HB/s were anti-HBs positive onemonth after inoculation,the titer was 1:1024 ormore.The humoral immune response was similarinduced by either intramuscular or intradermalinjection.CTL activities were much stronger(45.26%)in NV-HB/s DNA immunized mice as compared with those(only 6%)in plasma-derived HBsAg vaccine immunized mice.Twomonths after inoculation,all muscle sampleswere positive by Southern-blot hybridization forNV.HB/s DNA detection,but decreased to 25%and all were undetectable by in situhybridization after 6 months.No oncogene C-myc activation was found in the muscle ofinoculation site.CONCLUSION NV-HB/s could generatehumoral and cellular immunological responsesagainst HBsAg that had been safely expressed insitu by NV-HB/s vaccination. | Lian San Zhao Shan Qin Tao You Zhou Hong Tang Li Liu Bing Jun Lei | 2000 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2000,6,2: | 24 |

| 4 | Discharge Characteristics of Long SF6 Gas Gap with and Without Insulator in GIS Under VFTO and LI显示文摘Gas insulator switchgears(GISs),widely used in electric power systems for decades,have many advantages due to their compactness,minimal environmental impact,and long maintenance cycles.However,very fast transient overvoltage(VFTO)increases caused by a rise in voltage levels can lead to GIS insulation failures.In this paper,a generating system of VFTO and standard lightning impulse(LI)is established.The insulation characteristics of SF6 gas with and without insulators under VFTO and standard LI are investigated.Experimental results show that the 50%breakdown voltages of the inhomogeneous electric field rod-plane gap under positive VFTO and standard LI are higher than that under negative VFTO and standard LI.The research shows that the 50%breakdown voltage under VFTO could be lower than that under standard LI at 0.5 MPa for the negative polarity.Moreover,the polarity effect of the insulator without defect is different from that with defect.Similarly,the breakdown voltage of the defective insulator under VFTO could be lower than that under standard LI by 8%.The flashover channel under VFTO is seen as more than that under standard LI.Based on the analysis of discharge images and experimental results,it is concluded that the polarity effect is related to the distortion effect of ion clusters formed by SF6 on the electric field.Additionally,the steepness and front time of impulse plays an important role in the initiation and further development of discharge on insulator surface.Finally,the research shows that different discharge characteristics between VFTO and standard LI may be caused by different wave fronts and oscillation on the tails of the impulses. | Tao Wen Qiaogen Zhang Jingtan Ma Can Guo Haoyang You Yifan Qin Yu Yin Weidong Shi Weijiang Chen | 2015 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,3: | 17 |
| 5 | Nutrient Release from Weathering of Purplish Rocks in the Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘Purplish soils having high fertility with mineral nutrients inherited from the parent rock are widely distributed in the hills along the Yangtze River,especially in the Sichuan Basin.Pot and field weathering experiments were conducted to mimic rock weathering and nutrient release processes in order to better understand soil fertility and nutrient compensation. Three types of purplish rock formations formed in the Jurassic period,Shaximiao(J_2s),Suining(J_3s),and Penglaizhen (J_3p),as well as one type formed in the Cretaceous period,the Chengqiangyan group(K_1c),were used in this study. Results showed that the soil formation rate was in the range from 11.2 to 19.6 mm every year,and rock weathering was in the order of J_3s>J_3p>J_2s>K_1c.Because more rock surface was exposed to sunlight and rainfall in field conditions,pot weathering was slower than field weathering.Nutrient release rates increased with rock weathering and was in the order similar to that of rock weathering:J_3p>J_3s>J_2s>K_1c.Potassium release was the most important in all rocks;after 2 years of weathering,19.4% to 46.9% of K was released from the initial parent rocks,which suggested that K release from weathering could meet most of the crop K requirement in purplish soils.Thus,rapid release of nutrients from weathering of purplish rocks was key to nutrient replenishment and fertility of purplish soils. | ZHU Bo WANG Tao YOU Xiang GAO Mei-Rong | 2008 | Pedosphere2008,18,2: | 16 |

| 11 | Quantitative study of tectonic geomorphology along Haiyuan fault based on airborne LiDAR显示文摘High-precision and high-resolution topography are the fundamental data for active fault research.Light detection and ranging(LiDAR)presents a new approach to build detailed digital elevation models effectively.We take the Haiyuan fault in Gansu Province as an example of how LiDAR data may be used to improve the study of active faults and the risk assessment of related hazards.In the eastern segment of the Haiyuan fault,the Shaomayin site has been comprehensively investigated in previous research because of its exemplary tectonic topographic features.Based on unprecedented LiDAR data,the horizontal and vertical coseismic offsets at the Shaomayin site are described.The measured horizontal value is about 8.6 m,and the vertical value is about 0.8 m.Using prior dating ages sampled from the same location,we estimate the horizontal slip rate as4.0±1.0 mm/a with high confidence and define that the lower bound of the vertical slip rate is 0.4±0.1 mm/a since the Holocene.LiDAR data can repeat the measurements of field work on quantifying offsets of tectonic landform features quite well.The offset landforms are visualized on an office computer workstation easily,and specialized software may be used to obtain displacement quantitatively.By combining precious chronological results,the fundamentallink between fault activity and large earthquakes is better recognized,as well as the potential risk for future earthquake hazards. | Tao Chen Pei Zhen Zhang Jing Liu Chuan You Li Zhi Kun Ren Kenneth W. | 12 | Two adaptive detectors for range-spread targets in non-Gaussian clutter显示文摘This paper addresses adaptive detection of range-spread target in spherically invariant random vector clutter. Based on the nonadaptive detectors of NSDD-GLRT and SDD-GLRT, two adaptive detectors named ANSDD-GLRT and ASDD-GLRT are devised by replacing the unknown normalized clutter covariance matrix with the sample covariance matrix based on the secondary data. The formulas of detection probability and false alarm probability are deduced. Moreover, the constant false alarm rate properties of both adaptive detectors are assessed and the inffuence of mismatched steering vector on detection probability is analyzed. The experimental results show that the adaptive detectors have an acceptable loss with respect to the nonadaptive counterparts. Furthermore, the ANSDD-GLRT converges much faster than the ASDD-GLRT, however, the latter rejects the misaligned signals more effectively. Both detectors perform well for the uniformly-distributedenergy target, but degenerate for the fluctuating targets. | 17 | Hierarchical construction of CNT networks in aramid papers for high-efficiency microwave absorption显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)incorporated polymeric composites have been extensively investigated for microwave absorption at target frequencies to meet the requirement of radar cross-section reduction.In this work,a strategy of efficient utilization of CNT in producing CNT incorporated aramid papers is demonstrated.The layer-by-layer self-assembly technique is used to coat the surfaces of meta-aramid fibers and fibrils with CNT,providing novel raw materials available for the large-scale papermaking.The hierarchical construction of CNT networks resolves the dilemma of increasing CNT content and avoiding the agglomeration of CNT,which is a frequent challenge for CNT incorporated polymeric composites.The composite paper,which contains abundant heterogeneous interfaces and long-range conductive networks,is capable of reaching a high permittivity and dielectric loss tangent at a low CNT loading,its complex permittivity is,so far,adjustable in the range of(1.20−j0.05)to(25.17−j18.89)at 10 GHz.Some papers with optimal matching thicknesses achieve a high-efficiency microwave absorption with a reflection loss lower than−10 dB in the entire X-band. | You Wu Li Chen Yixuan Han Panbo Liu Haihong Xu Guanze Yu Yingying Wang Tao Wen Wenbo Ju Junwei Gu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 9 |

| 19 | Strategies for improving the storage performance of silicon-based anodes in lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Silicon has attracted much attention as a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to its high theoretical capacity and rich resource abundance. However, the practical battery use of Si is challenged by its low conductivity and drastic volume variation during the Li uptake/release process. Tremendous efforts have been made on shrinking the particle size of Si into nanoscale so that the volume variation could be accommodated. However, the bare nano-Si material would still pulverize upon (de)lithiation. Moreover, it shows an excessive surface area to invite unlimited growth of solid electrolyte interface that hinders the transportation of charge carriers, and an increased interparticle resistance. As a result, the Si nanoparticles gradually lose their electrical contact during the cycling process, which accounts for poor thermodynamic stability and sluggish kinetics of the anode reaction versus Li. To address these problems and improve the Li storage performance of nano-Si anode, proper structural design should be applied on the Si anode. | 20 | Rainfall and Tillage Impacts on Soil Erosion of Sloping Cropland with Subtropical Monsoon Climate- A Case Study in Hilly Purple Soil area, China显示文摘Under global warming, storm events tend to intensify, particularly in monsoon-affected regions.As an important agricultural area in China, the purple soil region in the Sichuan Basin, where it has a prevailing monsoon climate, is threatened by serious soil erosion. Tillage operations alter runoff and soil erosion processes on croplands by changing the physical properties of the soil surface. To clarify the relationship between tillage and soil erosion in the purple soil region, three different tillage practices in this region were investigated at the plot scale over 4 years: bare land with minimum tillage(BL),conventional tillage(CT) and seasonal no-tillage ridges(SNTR) which was initially designed to prevent soil erosion by contoured ridges and no-tillage techniques. The results showed that although there were no significant differences in the surface runoff and soil erosion among the three practices, BL causedrelatively high surface runoff and soil erosion,followed by CT and SNTR. Classification and comparison of the rainfall events based on cluster analysis(CA) verified that the surface runoff was not significantly different between most intensive event and long intensive events but was significantly different between most intensive and short and medium-duration events. Only the rainfall events with the highest rainfall intensity could trigger serious soil erosion, up to 1000 kg ha-1 in the region.
