1Reversible and irreversible heat generation of NCA/Si–C pouch cell during electrochemical energy-storage process显示文摘To meet the requirements of electronic vehicles(EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles(HEVs),the high energy density Li Ni_(0.8) Co_(0.15) Al_(0.05) O_2(NCA) cathode and Si–C anode have attracted more attention.Here we report the thermal behaviors of NCA/Si–C pouch cell during the charge/discharge processes at different current densities.The total heat generations are derived from the surface temperature change during electrochemical Li+insertion/extraction in adiabatic surrounding.The reversible heat is determined by the entropic coefficients,which are related with open-circuit voltage at different temperatures; while the irreversible heat is determined by the internal resistance,which can be obtained via V–I characteristic,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and hybrid pulse power characterization(HPPC).During the electrochemical process,the reversible heat contributes less than 10% to total heat generation; and the heat generated in charge process is less than that in discharge process.The results of thermal behaviors analyses are conducive to understanding the safety management and paving the way for building a reliable thermal model of high energy density lithium ion battery.Ying Bai Limin Li Yu Li Guanghai Chen Huichun Zhao Zhaohua Wang Chuan Wu Hongyun Ma Xinquan Wang Hongyue Cui Jiang Zhou 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,2:7
2Development and validation of a nomogram for predicting the survival of patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma after curative treatment显示文摘Background: The TNM staging system is far from perfect in predicting the survival of individual cancer patients because only the gross anatomy is considered. The survival rates of the patients who have the same TNM stage disease vary across a wide spectrum. This study aimed to develop a nomogram that incorporates other clinicopathologic factors for predicting the overall survival(OS) of non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) patients after curative treatments.Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of 1520 NPC patients who were diagnosed histologically between November 2000 and September 2003. The clinical data of a separate cohort of 464 patients who received intensity-modulated radiation therapy(IMRT) between 2001 and 2010 were also retrieved to examine the extensibility of the model. Cox regression analysis was used to identify the prognostic factors for building the nomogram. The predictive accuracy and discriminative ability were measured using the concordance index(c-index).Results: We identiied and incorporated 12 independent clinical factors into the nomogram. The calibration curves showed that the prediction of OS was in good agreement with the actual observation in the internal validation set and IMRT cohort. 3Effect of dietary phosphorus content on milk production and phosphorus excretion in dairy cows显示文摘Background:Phosphorus(P) supplementation is costly and can result in excess P excretion.This study investigated the effects of reducing dietary P on milk production and P excretion in dairy cows over a full lactation.Method:Forty-five multiparous Holstein dairy cows were divided into 15 blocks according to expected calving date and previous milk yield,and assigned randomly to one of the three dietary treatments:0.37,0.47,and 0.57%P(DM basis);these P levels represent the NRC recommendations,Chinese recommendations,and the amount of dietary P commonly fed by Chinese dairy farmers,respectively.Average daily feed intake was calculated from monthly data on feed offered and refused.Milk yields of individual cows were recorded weekly,and milk samples were taken for analysis of protein,fat,solids-not-fat,lactose,and somatic cell count.Blood samples were collected on days-6,-3,0,3,6 relative to calving,and then monthly throughout lactation,and analyzed for P and Ca concentrations.Spot samples of feces and urine were collected for 3 consecutive d during weeks 12,24,and 36,and P concentrations were analyzed.Reproduction and health data were recorded.Results:Dietary P did not affect dry matter intake or milk yield(P> 0.10).Milk fat content was slightly higher in cows fed 0.37%P than in cows fed 0.47%P(P = 0.05).Serum concentrations of P and Ca did not reflect dietary P content(P> 0.10).Fecal and urinary P both declined linearly(P< 0.05) as dietary P decreased from 0.57 to0.37%.Fecal P content was 25%less when dietary P was 0.37%compared to 0.57%.Health events and reproductive performance were not associated with dietary P content(P> 0.05).Conclusions:Lowering dietary P from 0.57 to 0.37%did not negatively affect milk production,but did significantly reduce P excretion into environment.Chong Wang Zhen Liu Diming Wang Jianxin Liu Hongyun Liu Zhiguo Wu 2014Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2014,5,4:5

5A molecular cobaloxime cocatalyst and ultrathin FeOOH nanolayers co-modifiedBiVO_(4) photoanode for efficient photoelectrochemical water oxidation显示文摘BiVO_(4) has been attracting a lot of interest in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation due to its efficient solar absorption and appropriate band positions.So far,sluggish water oxidation kinetics and fast photogenerated charge recombination still hinder the PEC performance ofBiVO_(4) .In this study,a novel PEC photoanode was designed by depositing ultrathin FeOOH nanolayers on the surface of nanoporousBiVO_(4) electrode,followed by modification with a cobaloxime (Co(dmgH)_(2)(4-COOH-py)Cl) molecular cocatalyst.Under irradiation of a 100 mW cm^(-2)(AM 1.5G) Xe lamp,the photocurrent density of the cobaloxime/FeOOH/BiVO_(4) composite photoanode reached 5.1 mA cm^(-2)at 1.23 V vs.RHE in 1.0 M potassium borate buffer solution (pH=9.0).The onset potential of the optimal cobaloxime/FeOOH/BiVO_(4) photoanode exhibited a 460 m V cathodic shift relative to bareBiVO_(4) .In addition,the surface charge injection efficiency of the composite photoanode reached~80%at 1.23 V vs.RHE and the incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE) reached~88%at 420 nm.Hongyun Cao Taotao Wang Jiaxing Li Jinbao Wu Pingwu Du 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:3
6BmCH25H,a vertebrate interferon-stimulated gene(ISG)homolog,inhibits BmNPV infection dependent on its hydroxylase activity in Bombyx mori显示文摘Cholesterol-25-hydroxylase(CH25H)has been identified as an interferon-stimulated gene(ISG)in mammals that exerts its antiviral effects by catalyzing the conversion of cholesterol to 25-hydroxycholesterol(25HC).However,invertebrates lack an antiviral system homologous to vertebrate interferons(IFNs)because the genomes of invertebrates do not encode IFN-like cytokines.Nevertheless,CH25H is present in insect genomes and it therefore deserves further study of whether and by which mechanism it could exert an antiviral effect in invertebrates.In this study,the Bombyx mori CH25H(BmCH25H)gene,of which the encoded protein has high homology with other lepidopteran species,was identified and located on chromosome 9.Interestingly,we found that the expression of BmCH25H was significantly upregulated in B.mori nucleopolyhedrovirus(BmNPV)-infected BmN cells and silkworm(B.mori)larvae at the early infection stage.The inhibitory effect of BmCH25H on BmNPV replication was further demonstrated to depend on its catalytic residues to convert cholesterol to 25HC.More importantly,we demonstrated that during BmNPV infection,BmCH25H expression was increased through the Janus kinase–signal transducer and activator of transcription(JAK–STAT)pathway,similar to the induction of ISGs following virus infection in vertebrates.This is the first report that CH25H has antiviral effects in insects;the study also elucidates the regulation of its expression and its mechanism of action.Hongyun Wu Junming Xia Shigang Fei Yeyuan Wang Mengmeng Zhang Yiyao Guo Xian Li Luc Swevers Jingchen Sun Min Feng 2023Insect Science2023,30,2:2

8Functional characterization of oligopeptide transporter 1 of dairy cows显示文摘Background: It is wel known that peptides play a vital role in the nutrition and health of dairy cows. Bovine oligopeptide transporter 1(bP epT 1) is involved in the peptide transport process in the gastrointestinal tracts of dairy cows. However,little information is known in the characteristics of bP epT 1. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to characterize bP epT 1 functional y using a mammalian cel expression system. The uptake of radiolabeled dipeptide glycyl-sarcosine([3 H]-Gly-Sar)into the bP epT 1-transfected Chinese hamster ovary cel s was measured at various pH and substrate concentrations and with or without 15 other smal peptides that contained Met or Lys.Results: Western blot results showed that the abundance of bP epT 1 protein in the jejunum and ileum are the highest in the gastrointestinal tract of dairy cows. The uptake of [3 H]-Gly-Sar by b Pep T1-Chinese hamster ovary cells was dependent on time, p H, and substrate concentration, with a low Kmvalue of 0.94 ± 0.06 mmol/L and a maximum velocity of 20.80 ± 1.74 nmol/(mg protein · 5 min). Most of the di-and tripeptides were the substrates of b Pep T1,based on substrate-competitive studies. 9Sirolimus combined with oseltamivir and corticosteroid treatment for a puerpera with severe pneumonia caused by 2009 pandemic H1N1:A case report显示文摘Severe pneumonia in patients infected with the 2009 pandemic H1N1(pH1N1)virus was partially attributed to excessive immune response.Anti-virus treatment for these patients was insufficient.Here we reported the therapy effect of sirolimus,an immunosuppressor,combined with oseltamivir and corticosteroid for a puerpera with severe pneumonia caused by pH1N1 virus.This patient has infected with the pH1N1 virus in late pregnancy,and antiviral therapy was not implemented timely.She developed severe pneumonia and ARDS rapidly and need receive a cesarean section on the 39th week after pregnancy.After giving birth to a healthy baby,she received a combination of oseltamivir,sirolimus and corticosteroid,and improved in the following days.Moreover,the cytokines in serum and viral loads in BALF decreased significantly.She recovered without infectious symptoms and was discharged.Sirolimus combined with oseltamivir and corticosteroid is likely responsible for lowering the viral loads,reducing the patient's cytokine level,and further improving her clinical outcomes.It provides evidence that adjuvant treatment was beneficial to patients with severe pneumonia induced by the pH1N1 virus.Lijun Suo Xiaofeng Yu Yongfeng Hu Hongyun Cao Xiaohui Zou Peiquan Wang Tao Xu Xiangzhi Zhou Yexin Wu Lili Ren Bo Liu Bin Cao 2021Biosafety and Health2021,3,6:2

19A Deep Learning Approach for Detecting Colorectal Cancer via Raman Spectra显示文摘Objective and Impact Statement.Distinguishing tumors from normal tissues is vital in the intraoperative diagnosis and pathological examination.In this work,we propose to utilize Raman spectroscopy as a novel modality in surgery to detect colorectal cancer tissues.Introduction.Raman spectra can reflect the substance components of the target tissues.However,the feature peak is slight and hard to detect due to environmental noise.Collecting a high-quality Raman spectroscopy dataset and developing effective deep learning detection methods are possibly viable approaches.Methods.First,we collect a large Raman spectroscopy dataset from 26 colorectal cancer patients with the Raman shift ranging from 385 to 1545 cm^(−1).Second,a one-dimensional residual convolutional neural network(1D-ResNet)architecture is designed to classify the tumor tissues of colorectal cancer.Third,we visualize and interpret the fingerprint peaks found by our deep learning model.Results.Experimental results show that our deep learning method achieves 98.5%accuracy in the detection of colorectal cancer and outperforms traditional methods.Conclusion.Overall,Raman spectra are a novel modality for clinical detection of colorectal cancer.Our proposed ensemble 1D-ResNet could effectively classify the Raman spectra obtained from colorectal tumor tissues or normal tissues.Zheng Cao Xiang Pan Hongyun Yu Shiyuan Hua Da Wang Danny Z.Chen Min Zhou Jian Wu 2022Biomedical Engineering Frontiers2022,3,1:0
20QL1706 (anti-PD-1 IgG4/CTLA-4 antibody) plus chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab in advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a multi-cohort, phase II study显示文摘First-line chemoimmunotherapy(with or without bevacizumab)has improved outcomes in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Here,this open-label,multi-cohort phase II study(NCT05329025)was done to investigate the safety and efficacy of QL1706(a single bifunctional MabPair product against PD-1 and CTLA-4)and chemotherapy with or without bevacizumab in this population.Patients were enrolled into five different cohorts based on genotype(cohorts 1-4,epidermal growth factor receptor[EGFR]wild-type;cohort 5,EGFR-mutant and progressed on EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors[TKIs]).Between June 11,2021 and December 29,2021,91 patients were enrolled.Most frequent treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)included decreased appetite(60[65.9%]),anemia(60[65.9%]),infusion-related reactions(48[52.7%]),and pruritus(44[48.4%]).Grade≥3 TRAEs occurred in 30(33.0%)patients.Twenty-seven(45%)patients with wild-type EGFR achieved partial response(PR)(objective response rate[ORR]=45%)and had a median progression-free survival(mPFS)of 6.8 months(95%CI:5.2-9.7).For 31 patients harboring mutated EGFR,17(54.8%)achieved PR(ORR=54.8%),with an mPFS of 8.5 months(95%CI:5.72-not evaluable).Overall,QL1706 plus chemotherapy,regardless of having bevacizumab,was generally tolerable and had promising antitumor activity for EGFR wild-type advanced NSCLC in first-line setting.Moreover,QL1706 plus chemotherapy and bevacizumab showed favorable antitumor activity for patients who had EGFR mutated NSCLC but failed in TKI therapy,demonstrating a potential for treating this population.Yan Huang Yunpeng Yang Yuanyuan Zhao Hongyun Zhao Ningning Zhou Yaxiong Zhang Likun Chen Ting Zhou Gang Chen Ting Wu Lu Lu Shilin Xue Xiaoyan Kang Li Zhang Wenfeng Fang 2024Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,2:0
