1New U-Pb age constraints on the upper Banxi Group and synchrony of the Sturtian glaciation in South China显示文摘The Nanhua basin in South China hosts well-preserved middle-late Neoproterozoic sedimentary and volcanic rocks that are critical for studying the basin evolution, the breakup of the supercontinent Rodinia, the nature and dynamics of the 'snowball' Earth and diversification of metazoans. Establishing a stratigraphic framework is crucial for better understanding the interactions between tectonic, paleoclimatic and biotic events recorded in the Nanhua basin, but existing stratigraphic correlations remain debated, particularly for pre-Ediacaran strata. Here we report new Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry(LA-ICPMS) U-Pb zircon ages from the middle and topmost Wuqiangxi Formation(the upper stratigraphic unit of the Banxi Group) in Siduping, Hunan Province, South China. Two samples show similar age distribution, with two major peaks at ca. 820 Ma and 780 Ma and one minor peak at ca. 910 Ma, suggesting that the Wuqiangxi sandstone was mainly sourced from Neoproterozoic rocks. Two major age peaks correspond to two phases of magmatic events associated with the rifting of the Nanhua basin, and the minor peak at ca. 910 Ma may correspond to the Shuangxiwu volcanic arc magmatism, which represents pre-collision/amalgamation subduction on the southeastern margin of the Yangtze Block. The youngest zircon group from the topmost Wuqiangxi Formation has a weighted mean age of 714.6±5.2 Ma, which is likely close to the depositional age of the uppermost Banxi Group. This age, along with the ages reported from other sections, constrains that the Banxi Group was deposited between ca. 820 Ma and ca. 715 Ma. The age of 714.6±5.2 Ma from the top of the Wuqiangxi Formation is indistinguishable with the SIMS U-Pb age of 715.9± 2.8 Ma from the upper Gongdong Formation in the Sibao village section of northern Guangxi, South China. It is also, within uncertainties, overlapped with two TIMS U-Pb ages from pre-Sturtian strata in Oman and Canada. 2Chemocline instability and isotope variations of the Ediacaran Doushantuo basin in South China显示文摘Stable isotope analyses in sections across a shelf to basinal transect of the Ediacaran Doushantuo basin show substantial isotope variabilities. In Songlin section where sediments were deposited in an intrashelf basin, δ 13C values are persistently negative (_3‰ to _5‰, VPDB) through the entire Doushantuo Formation, similar to those obtained from the slope section in Wuhe (_5‰ to _10‰, VPDB). Shallow water sections in Weng'an and Duoding show two broad δ 13C anomalies overprinted with significant meter-scale variations, but none of the curves has similar absolute δ 13C values compared to the Yangtze Gorges areas in South China and other sections globally. Such isotope variations, if partially recording ancient seawater signature, imply spatial and temporal chemocline instability in the Doushantuo basin. In combination with available δ 13C records from other Ediacaran successions globally, the data from the Doushantuo basin are consistent, in first order, with the existence and oxidation of a large dissolved organic carbon (DOC) reservoir in Ediacaran oceans, but imply local environmental controls on Neoproterozoic isotope values and call attentions for using δ 13C anomalies as time lines in stratigraphic correlation.JIANG GanQing ZHANG ShiHong SHI XiaoYing WANG XinQiang 2008Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,11:15
3Organic carbon isotope gradient and ocean stratification across the late Ediacaran-Early Cambrian Yangtze Platform显示文摘Organic carbon isotope(δ13Corg) data from two well-preserved sections across a shallow-to-deep water transect of the late Ediacaran-Early Cambrian Yangtze Platform in South China show significant temporal and spatial variations. In the shallow-water Jiulongwan-Jijiapo section, δ13Corg values of the late Ediacaran Dengying Formation range from -29‰ to -24‰. In the deep-water Longbizui section, δ13Corg values from time-equivalent strata of the Dengying Formation are mostly between –35‰ and -32‰. These new data, in combination with δ13Corg data reported from other sections in South China, reveal a 6‰–8‰ shallow-to-deep water δ13Corg gradient. High δ13Corg values(>-30‰) occur mostly in shallow-water carbonate rocks, whereas low δ13Corg values(<-32‰) dominate the deep-water black shale and chert. The large temporal and spatial δ13Corg variations imply limited buffering effect from a large dissolved organic carbon(DOC) reservoir that was inferred to have existed in Ediacaran-Early Cambrian oceans. Instead, δ13Corg variations between platform and basin sections are more likely caused by differential microbial biomass contribution to total organic matter. High δ13Corg values(>-30‰) documented from shallow-water carbonates are within the range of typical Phanerozoic δ13Corg data and may record the isotope signature of organic matter from primary(photosynthetic) production. In contrast, low δ13Corg values(<-32‰) from deep-water sections may have resulted from higher chemoautotrophic or methanotrophic biomass contribution to bulk organic matter in anoxic environments. 4A 2-kb Mycovirus Converts a Pathogenic Fungus into a Beneficial Endophyte for Brassica Protection and Yield Enhancement显示文摘Mycoviruses are viruses that infect fungi,and hypovirulence-associated mycoviruses have the potential to control fungal diseases.However,it is unclear how mycovirus-mediated hypovirulent strains live and survive in the field,and no mycovirus has been applied for field crop protection.In this study,we found that a previously identified small DNA mycovirus(SsHADV-1)can convert its host,Sclerotinia sclerotiorum,from a typical necrotrophic pathogen to a beneficial endophytic fungus.SsHADV-1 downregulates the expression of key pathogenicity factor genes in S.sclerotiorum during infection.When growing in rapeseed,the SsHADV-1-infected strain DT-8 significantly regulates the expression of rapeseed genes involved in defense,hormone signaling,and circadian rhythm pathways.As a result,plant growth is promoted and disease resistance is enhanced.Field experiments showed that spraying DT-8 at the early flowering stage can reduce the disease severity of rapeseed stem rot by 67.6%and improve yield by 14.9%.Moreover,we discovered that SsHADV-1 could also infect other S.sclerotiorum strains on DT-8-inoculated plants and that DT-8 could be recovered from dead plants.These findings suggest that the mycoviruses may have the ability to shape the origin of endophytism.Our discoveries suggest that mycoviruses may influence the origin of endophytism and may also offer a novel strategy for disease control in which mycovirus-infected strains are used to improve crop health and release mycoviruses into the field.Hongxiang Zhang Jiatao Xie Yanping Fu Jiasen Cheng Zheng Qu Zhenzhen Zhao Shufen Cheng Tao Chen Bo Li Qianqian Wang Xinqiang Liu Binnian Tian David B.Collinge Daohong Jiang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,10:9
5Synthesis of bifunctional Pt/MgAPO-5 catalysts and their catalytic performance in the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to p-aminophenol显示文摘MgAPO-5 molecular sieves have been synthesized using diethylaminoethanol as the templating agent in a wide range of the MgO/Al2O3 ratio.The samples were characterized by XRD,SEM,solid state NMR,FT-IR and NH3-TPD.Using MgAPO-5 as acidic supports,bifunctional Pt/MgAPO-5 catalysts were prepared for hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to p-aminophenol (PAP).The results showed that the MgO/Al2O3 ratios influenced the Mg content and the acidity of MgAPO-5 samples,thereby greatly affecting the catalytic performance of Pt/MgAPO-5 catalysts.The selectivity to PAP over Pt/MgAPO-5 was dependent on the amount of strong acid sites of MgAPO-5.When the MgO/Al2O3 molar ratio was 0.5,the synthesized MgAPO-5 sample exhibited the largest amount of strong acid and a highest PAP yield of 41.1% was achieved over Pt/MgAPO-5 catalyst.ShuFang Wang YaDan Jin BeiBei He YanJi Wang XinQiang Zhao 2010Science China Chemistry2010,53,7:9

8Uniform corrosion behavior of FeCrAl alloys in borated and lithiated high temperature water显示文摘The uniform corrosion behavior of model FeCrAl alloys as well as commercial Zircaloy-4 as reference material were investigated in 360℃borated and lithiated water.The results reveal that FeCrAl alloys exhibited better corrosion resistance than Zircaloy-4.It is found that the oxide films formed on the FeCrAl alloys are composed of outer Fe_(3)O_(4)layer,inner layer consisting of compact spinel layer and porous spinel layer,and transition layer containing Al-Cr-rich oxides and matrix enriched with Fe°.The spinel oxides in the inner layer are FeFe_(2-x-y-z)Cr_(x)Al_(y)MozO_(4).The corrosion mechanism of FeCrAl alloys in high temperature water is discussed.Fangqiang Ning Xiang Wang Ying Yang Jibo Tan Ziyu Zhang Dan Jia Xinqiang Wu En-Hou Han 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,11:6
9β-Ga_2O_3 thin film grown on sapphire substrate by plasmaassisted molecular beam epitaxy显示文摘Monoclinic gallium oxide(Ga_2O_3) has been grown on(0001) sapphire(Al_2O_3) substrate by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PA-MBE). The epitaxial relationship has been confirmed to be [010]( 2ˉ01) β-Ga_2O_3||[ 011ˉ0](0001)Al_2O_3 via in-situ reflection high energy electron diffraction(RHEED) monitoring and ex-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD) measurement. Crystalline quality is improved and surface becomes flatter with increasing growth temperature, with a best full width at half maximum(FWHM) of XRD ω-rocking curve of( 2ˉ01) plane and root mean square(RMS) roughness of 0.68° and 2.04 nm for the sample grown at 730 °C,respectively. 10GaN-based substrates and optoelectronic materials and devices显示文摘In order to solve the problems of GaN heteroepitaxy on sapphire substrate,some techniques were explored.Freestanding GaN substrates have been made by hydride vapor phase epitaxy(HVPE),laser lift-off(LLO),and chemical mechanical polishing techniques.Wafer bending and cracking in the HVPE growth were partly settled by pulsed flow modulation method.High-crystal quality was established for 1.2 mm thick GaN substrate by X-ray diffraction measurement,in which the full width of half maximum values were 72,110 arcsec for(102),(002)peaks.A novel micro-size patterned sapphire substrate(PSS)and a nano PSS were also fabricated.High-power vertical structure light emitting diodes(VSLEDs)have been developed by Au–Sn eutectic wafer bonding,homemade micro-area LLO,and light extraction structure preparation.The high-injection-level active region with low temperature GaN sandwiched layers was used for lowefficiency droop.The light output power of VSLED was achieved as 400 mW driven at 350 mA,and the dominant wavelength is about 460 nm.The structures and properties of strain modulated superlattices(SLs)and quantum wells as well as advanced simulation of carriers transport across the electron blocking layer were investigated in laser diodes.The hole concentration was achieved as high as1.6 9 1018cm-3in AlGaN/GaN SLs:Mg by inserting an AlN layer.High-quality AlGaN epilayers and structures were grown by MOCVD.Some device structures of UV LEDs and detectors were demonstrated.The emission wavelength of 262 nm UV LED has been successfully fabricated.At last,high-quality InN and InGaN materials for solar cell were grown by boundary-temperature-controlled epitaxy and growth-temperature-controlled epitaxy.Hall-effect measurement showed a recorded electron mobility of 3,280 cm2/(V s)and a residual electron concentration of 1.47 9 1017cm-3at 300 K.Guoyi Zhang Bo Shen Zhizhong Chen Xiaodong Hu Zhixin Qin Xinqiang Wang Jiejun Wu Tongjun Yu Xiangning Kang Xingxing Fu Wei Yang Zhijian Yang Zhizhao Gan 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,12:4
11Investigation on the deactivation cause of lead-zinc double oxide for the synthesis of diphenyl carbonate by transesterification显示文摘The deactivation cause of lead-zinc double oxide for synthesis of diphenyl carbonate (DPC) by transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) with phenol has been investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), infrared spectroscopy (IR), thermogravimetry analysis (TG), atomic absorption spectroscopy and elementary analysis are employed for the catalyst characterization. The results show that, the formation of Pb4O(OC6H5)6 through the reaction of phenol and lead species in the catalyst leads to the crystal phase change of active component and serious leaching of lead, which is the cause of the catalyst deactivation. 12Preparation and characterization of H_4SiW_(12)O_(40)@MIL-100(Fe) and its catalytic performance for synthesis of 4,4'-MDA显示文摘The catalytic performance of commonly used heteropoly acids(H_3 PW_(12)O_(40). H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40) and H_3 PMo_(12)O_(40)) for the synthesis of 4,4'-methylenedianiline(4.4'-MDA) from aniline and formaldehyde was evaluated and the result showed that H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40) with moderate acid strength exhibited the best catalytic performance. Then H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40)@MIL-100(Fe) was prepared by encapsulating H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40) within the pores of MIL-100(Fe) to facilitate its recovery and reuse. The prepared H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40)@MIL-100(Fe) was characterized by means of FT-IR, N_2 adsorption-desorption, XRD, TG and then the catalytic performance was evaluated. The result showed that H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40) was highly dispersed in the pores of MIL-100(Fe), and both the Keggin structure of H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40)and the crystal skeleton structure of MIL-100(Fe) could be effectively preserved. Furthermore. H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40)@MIL-100(Fe) showed excellent catalytic performance under the following reaction conditions: a molar ratio of aniline to formaldehyde = 5, a mass ratio of catalyst to formaldehyde = 1.2, a reaction temperature of 120 ℃and a reaction time of 6 h. Under the above reaction conditions, the conversion of aniline was 41.1%, and the yield and selectivity of 4.4'-MDA were 81.6% and 79.2%, respectively. Unfortunately, an appreciable loss in the catalytic activity of the recovered H_4 SiW_(12)O_(40)@MIL-100(Fe) was observed because of the blocking of the pores and the change of the acidity resulted from the adsorption of alkaline organics such as aniline and 4,4'-MDA.The adsorbed alkaline organics could be cleaned up when the recovered catalyst was washed by methanol and DMF. 13Effects of thiosulfate and dissolved oxygen on crevice corrosion of Alloy 690 in high-temperature chloride solution显示文摘The crevice corrosion behavior of Alloy 690 was investigated in high-temperature chloride solution containing different concentrations of thiosulfate(S_(2)O_(3)^(2-)) and dissolved oxygen(DO). The S2O32- inhibited corrosion of Alloy 690 through consuming oxygen in aerated chloride solution. In deaerated chloride solution,the S_(2)O_(3)^(2-) was reduced to S° and S^(2-) and subsequently incorporated into the oxide films, which promoted the pitting corrosion at locations of both TiN inclusions and matrix inside the crevice during the crevice corrosion as well as influenced the composition and thickness of the oxide films. 15Demonstration of epitaxial growth of strain-relaxed GaN films on graphene/SiC substrates for long wavelength light-emitting diodes显示文摘Strain modulation is crucial for heteroepitaxy such as GaN on foreign substrates.Here,the epitaxy of strain-relaxed GaN films on graphene/SiC substrates by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition is demonstrated.Graphene was directly prepared on SiC substrates by thermal decomposition.Its pre-treatment with nitrogen-plasma can introduce C–N dangling bonds,which provides nucleation sites for subsequent epitaxial growth.The scanning transmission electron microscopy measurements confirm that part of graphene surface was etched by nitrogen-plasma.We study the growth behavior on different areas of graphene surface after pre-treatment,and propose a growth model to explain the epitaxial growth mechanism of GaN films on graphene.Significantly,graphene is found to be effective to reduce the biaxial stress in GaN films and the strain relaxation improves indium-atom incorporation in InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells(MQWs)active region,which results in the obvious red-shift of light-emitting wavelength of InGaN/GaN MQWs.This work opens up a new way for the fabrication of GaN-based long wavelength light-emitting diodes.Ye Yu Tao Wang Xiufang Chen Lidong Zhang Yang Wang Yunfei Niu Jiaqi Yu Haotian Ma Xiaomeng Li Fang Liu Gaoqiang Deng Zhifeng Shi Baolin Zhang Xinqiang Wang Yuantao Zhang 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:2

17Surface clogging process modeling of suspended solids during urban stormwater aquifer recharge显示文摘Aquifer recharge,which uses urban stormwater,is an effective technique to control the negative effects of groundwater overexploitation,while clogging problems in infiltration systems remain the key restricting factor in broadening its practice.Quantitative understanding of the clogging process is still very poor.A laboratory study was conducted to understand surface physical clogging processes,with the primary aim of developing a model for predicting suspended solid clogging processes before aquifer recharge projects start.The experiments investigated the clogging characteristics of different suspended solid sizes in recharge water by using a series of one-dimensional fine quartz sand columns.The results showed that the smaller the suspended particles in recharge water,the farther the distance of movement and the larger the scope of clogging in porous media.Clogging extents in fine sand were 1 cm,for suspended particle size ranging from 0.075 to 0.0385 mm,and 2 cm,for particles less than 0.0385 mm.In addition,clogging development occurred more rapidly for smaller suspended solid particles.It took 48,42,and 36 hr respectively,for large-,medium-,and small-sized particles to reach pre-determined clogging standards.An empirical formula and iteration model for the surface clogging evolution process were derived.The verification results obtained from stormwater recharge into fine sand demonstrated that the model could reflect the real laws of the surface clogging process.Zijia Wang Xinqiang Du Yuesuo Yang Xueyan Ye 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,8:2
18Synthesis and kinetics of 2,5-dicyanofuran in the presence of hydroxylamine ionic liquid salts显示文摘2,5-Dicyanofuran(DCF)is an important biomass-derived platform compound primarily used to prepare bio-based adiponitrile,which is the key precursor for the synthesis of nylon 66 and 1,6-hexanediisocyanate(HDI).In this study,one-pot,green and safe synthesis of DCF from 2,5-diformylfuran(DFF)and hydroxylamine ionic liquid salts was proposed.Eco-friendly hydroxylamine ionic liquid salts were used as the nitrogen source.Ionic liquid exhibited three-fold function of cosolvent,catalysis and phase separation.The conversion of DFF and yield of DCF reached 100%under the following optimum reaction conditions:temperature of 120℃ for 70 min,volume ratio of paraxylene:[HSO_(3)-b-Py]HSO4 of 2:1,and molar ratio of DFF:(NH_(2)OH)_(2)[HSO_(3)-b-Py]HSO4 of 1:1.5.The reaction mechanism for the synthesis of DCF was proposed,and the kinetic model was established.The reaction order with respect to DFF and intermediate product 2,5-diformylfuran dioxime(DFFD)was 1.06 and 0.16,and the reaction activation energy was 64.07 kJ·mol^(-1) and 59.37 kJ·mol^(-1) respectively.After the reaction,the ionic liquid was easy to separate,recover and recycle.Xuan Gao Zhihui Li Dongsheng Zhang Xinqiang Zhao Yanji Wang 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1:2

20A core–shell Ni/SiO_(2)@TiO_(2) catalyst for highly selective one-step synthesis of 2-propylheptanol from n-pentanal显示文摘One-step synthesis of 2-propylheptanol(2-PH)from n-pentanal via a reaction integration of n-pentanal self-condensation and successive hydrogenation is of great significance for it can simplify process flow and reduce energy consumption.The key to promotion of 2-PH selectivity is to enhance the competitiveness of n-pentanal self-condensation with respect to its direct hydrogenation.For this purpose,a core–shell structured Ni/SiO_(2)@TiO_(2) catalyst was designed and prepared.With the precise architecture of this core–shell structured catalyst,n-pentanal can be firstly in contact with TiO_(2) to 2-propyl-2-heptenal(2-PHEA)while the direct hydrogenation to n-pentanol can be effectively inhibited,and then 2-PHEA diffuses into the core of Ni/SiO_(2) and is hydrogenated to 2-PH.The spatial threshold of the core–shell catalyst significantly enhanced its catalytic performance;a 2-PH selectivity of 77.9%was reached with a 100%npentanal conversion.The 2-PH selectivity is much higher than that obtained by employing Ni/TiO_(2) catalyst.Furthermore,the reaction kinetics of one-step synthesis of 2-PH from n-pentanal catalyzed by Ni/SiO_(2)@TiO_(2) was studied and its kinetic model was established which is useful for reactor design and scale-up.Hualiang An Rui Wang Wenhao Wang Daolai Sun Xinqiang Zhao Yanji Wang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6:1
