SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant is highly sensitive to molnupiravir, nirmatrelvir, and the combination显示文摘Dear Editor,Since the first outbreak in late 2019,the RNA genome of SARS-CoV-2 has been undergoing constant evolution. This is largely attributed to the viral polymerase that is intrinsically error prone and the selection pressures exerted by the host immune system.Several variants of concern harboring multiple mutations in the spike protein have emerged in the past year. The currently fast-spreading Omicron variant contains many more mutations compared with the previous variants, and most of these mutations are located around the receptor binding domain of the spike protein. | Pengfei Li Yining Wang Marla Lavrijsen Mart M.Lamers Annemarie C.de Vries Robbert J.Rottier Marco J.Bruno Maikel P.Peppelenbosch Bart L.Haagmans Qiuwei Pan | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,3: | 11

Hypoxia-mimicking 3D bioglass-nanoclay scaffolds promote endogenous bone regeneration显示文摘Large bone defect repair requires biomaterials that promote angiogenesis and osteogenesis. In present work,a nanoclay(Laponite,XLS)-functionalized 3D bioglass(BG)scaffold with hypoxia mimicking property was prepared by foam replication coupled with UV photopolymerization methods. Our data revealed that the incorporation of XLS can significantly promote the mechanical property of the scaffold and the osteogenic differentiation of human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs)compared to the properties of the neat BG scaffold.Desferoxamine,a hypoxia mimicking agent, encourages bone regeneration via activating hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha(HIF-1α)-mediated angiogenesis.GelMA-DFO immobilization onto BG-XLS scaffold achieved sustained DFO release and inhibited DFO degradation.Furthermore,in vitro data demonstrated increased HIF-1αand vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)expressions on human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs).Moreover,BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds also significantly promoted the osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs.Most importantly, our in vivo data indicated BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds strongly increased bone healing in a critical-sized mouse cranial bone defect model. Therefore,we developed a novel BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffold which can not only induce the expression of VEGF,but also promote osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs to promote endogenous bone regeneration. | Xiao Zheng Xiaorong Zhang Yingting Wang Yangxi Liu Yining Pan Yijia Li Man Ji Xueqin Zhao Shengbin Huang Qingqing Yao | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,10: | 4
Primary pulmonary artery chondrosarcoma: the use of different imaging modalities显示文摘Fewer than 300 patients with primary pulmonary artery sarcoma have been reported since 1923,when it was first described by Mandelstamm.1 The diagnosis of pulmonary artery sarcoma is difficult, and misdiagnosis as chronic pulmonary embolism often occurs.Herein,we reported a case of primary pulmonary artery chondrosarcoma. So far as we know, this patient served as the first case ever reported to receive computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA),gadolinium enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) before surgery.By these means, the utility of different imaging modalities for pulmonary artery sarcoma was well demonstrated. | Wang Fengdan Wang Yining Xue Huadan Zhang Yingqiang Sun Jian Miao Qi Zhang Yan | 2014 | Chinese Medical Journal2014,,15: | 4

Constructing a V2G-enabled Regional Energy Internet for Cost-efficient Carbon Trading显示文摘The increasing penetration of plug-in electric ve- hicles (PEVs) has highlighted the importance of coordinating ubiquitous distributed energy resources (DERs) via the internet of things (IoT).With the help of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, PEVs can be aggregated to behave as a storage system, yielding both economic and environmental benefits. In this paper, we propose an optimal bidding framework for a V2G-enabled re- gional energy internet (REI) to participate in day-ahead markets considering carbon trading. The REI operator aims to maximize the net profits from day-ahead markets while anticipating real- time adjustments. A detailed battery model is developed to depict the charging and discharging capability of V2G-enabled PEVs. A two-stage stochastic optimization model is formulated to schedule the operation of PEV fleets against various sources of uncertainties, e.g., the arrival and departure time of PEVs, solar power and real-time prices. Case studies undertaken based on realistic datasets demonstrate that the coordination of the V2G- enabled PEVs and other DERs can facilitate the accommodation of renewable energy, thus improving the REI’s revenues in energy and carbon markets. | Jianxiao Wang Zhaoyuan Wu Ershun Du Ming Zhou Gengyin Li Yining Zhang Le Yu | 2020 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,1: | 4
Cancer-associated adipocyte-derived G-CSF promotes breast cancer malignancy via Stat3 signaling显示文摘Adipocyte is the most predominant cell type in the tumor microenvironment of breast cancer and plays a pivotal role in cancer progression, yet the underlying mechanisms and functional mediators remain elusive. We isolated primary preadipocytes from mammary fat pads of human breast cancer patients and generated mature adipocytes and cancer-associated adipocytes(CAAs)in vitro. The CAAs exhibited significantly different gene expression profiles as assessed by transcriptome sequencing. One of the highly expressed genes in CAAs is granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF).Treatment with recombinant human G-CSF protein or stable expression of human G-CSF in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)cell lines enhanced epithelial–mesenchymal transition, migration, and invasion of cancer cells,by activating Stat3.Accordantly,targeting G-CSF/Stat3 signaling with G-CSF-neutralizing antibody,a chemical inhibitor,or siRNAs for Stat3 could all abrogate CAA-or G-CSF-induced migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. The pro-invasive genes MMP2 and MMP9 were identified as target genes of G-CSF in TNBC cells.Furthermore,in human breast cancer tissues, elevated G-CSF expression in adipocytes is well correlated with activated Stat3 signal in cancer cells.Together, our results suggest a novel strategy to intervene with invasive breast cancers by targeting CAA-derived G-CSF. | Li Liu Yudong Wu Cheng Zhang Chong Zhou Yining Li Yi Zeng Chunbo Zhang Rong Li Daya Luo Lieliang Wang Long Zhang Shuo Tu Huan Deng Shiwen Luo Ye-Guang Chen Xiangyang Xiong Xiaohua Yan | 2020 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,9: | 4

High reproducibility and sensitivity of bifacial copper nanowire array for detection of glucose显示文摘The ordered bifacial copper nanowire array(Cu BNWA) was synthesized by a template assisted electrochemical deposition method. The morphology and structure of the as-prepared samples were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that the ordered Cu nanowire array with uniform geometrical dimensions covered both side of the Cu substrate. When used as the electrode for glucose detection, the minimum detectable concentration of glucose can be reached as low as 0.2 mM.Impressively, the sample still showed high sensitivity and stability for glucose detection after two months placement in ambient environment. These excellent performances of the Cu BNWA make it a promising non-enzyme glucose detection sensor for various applications. | Hanqing Zhang Yining Wang Xuesen Gao Zhuo Gao Yan Chen | 2017 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2017,27,3: | 2
Rotation Control of a 3-DOF Parallel Mechanism Driven by Pneumatic Muscle Actuators显示文摘The pneumatic muscle actuator(PMA)has many advantages, such as good flexibility, high power/weight ratio, but its nonlinearity makes it difficult to build a static mathematical model with high precision.A new method is proposed to establish the model of PMA.The concept of hybrid elastic modulus which is related to the static characteristic of PMA is put forward, and the energy conservation law is used to achieve the expression of the hybrid elastic modulus, which can be fitted out based on experimental data, and the model of PMA can be derived from this expression. At the same time,a 3-DOF parallel mechanism(a new bionic shoulder joint)driven by five PMAs is designed. This bionic shoulder joint adopts the structure of two antagonistic PMAs actualizing a rotation control and three PMAs controlling another two rotations to get better rotation characteristics. The kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the mechanism are analyzed and a new static model of PMA is used to control it.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this new static model. | LIU Kai CHEN Yining WU Yang XU Jiaqi WANG Yangwei GE Zhishang | 2019 | Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,2: | 2
Fast-convolution multicarrier based frequency division multiple access显示文摘Fast-convolution multicarrier(FCMC), the asynchronous waveform with ultra-low sidelobe, has appeared to be a promising waveform technique for future wireless communications. In this paper, we investigate the filter bank optimization as well as receiver design including low-complexity channel estimator and equalizer for FCMC based frequency division multiple access(FDMA). Starting from the conventional multi-carrier signals, we first derive a vectorized signal model as a framework to systematically design the FCMC transceiver. For nearly perfect reconstruction(NPR) filter banks design, an optimization criterion which consists of minimizing received signal segments’ mean square error(MSE) is proposed. From the fact that Toeplitz matrices can be asymptotically diagonalized by discrete Fourier transform(DFT) matrix, the channel equalizer can be simplified to one-tap frequency domain equalizer when DFT size is large enough. The minimum mean square error(MMSE) criterion is then applied to calculate the coefficients of onetap frequency domain equalizer. In practice, due to the channel fading, the channel estimation has to be performed to obtain the channel state information(CSI) which is required by the channel equalization. To this end, we propose a combined cyclic prefix(CP) and cyclic suffix(CS) pilot structure which facilitates to estimate the frequency domain CSI directly in the receiver end. The proposed FCMC based FDMA features low-complexity receiver, adjustable users’ bandwidth and low peak-to-average power ratio. Simulation results confirm the performance of the proposed scheme. | Yining LI Wenjin WANG Jiaheng WANG Xiqi GAO | 2019 | Science China(Information Sciences)2019,62,8: | 2
Optical Properties and Source Analysis of Aerosols over a Desert Area in Dunhuang,Northwest China显示文摘Aerosol observational data for 2012 obtained from Dunhuang Station of CARE-China(Campaign on Atmospheric Aerosol Research Network of China) were analyzed to achieve in-depth knowledge of aerosol optical properties over Dunhuang region. The results showed that the annual average aerosol optical depth(AOD) at 500 nm was 0.32 ± 0.06, and the ?ngstr?m exponent(α) was 0.73 ± 0.27. Aerosol optical properties revealed significant seasonal characteristics. Frequent sandstorms in MAM(March–April–May) resulted in the seasonal maximum AOD, 0.41 ± 0.04, and a relatively smaller αvalue, 0.44 ± 0.04. The tourism seasons, JJA(June–July–August) and SON(September–October–November) coincide with serious emissions of small anthropogenic aerosols. While in DJF(December–January–February), the composition of the atmosphere was a mixture of dust particles and polluted aerosols released by domestic heating; the average AOD and αwere 0.29 ± 0.02 and 0.66 ± 0.17, respectively. Different air masses exhibited different degrees of influence on the aerosol concentration over Dunhuang in different seasons. During MAM, ranges of AOD(0.11–1.18) and α(0.06–0.82) were the largest under the dust influence of northwest-short-distance air mass in the four trajectories. Urban aerosols transported by northwest-short-distance air mass accounted for a very large proportion in JJA and the mixed aerosols observed in SON were mainly conveyed by air masses from the west. In DJF, the similar ranges of AOD and α under the three air mass demonstrated the analogous diffusion effects on regional pollutants over Dunhuang. | Yongjing MA Jinyuan XIN Yining MA Lingbin KONG Kequan ZHANG Wenyu ZHANG Yuesi WANG Xiuqin WANG Yongfeng ZHU | 2017 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2017,34,8: | 2
Theoretical method for calculating porosity and permeability under self-regulating effect显示文摘In order to study the effect of stress-sensitivity and matrix shrinkage on coalbed methane production, equivalent matrix particle model is proposed considering the process of adsorption and desorption.Calculating mathematical models for calculating porosity and permeability which considered matrix shrinkage by combining diameter model and desorption were established. The calculations of porosity and permeability under self-regulating effect were obtained by combining traditional stress-sensitivity equations. The changes of porosity and permeability in different reservoirs were calculated and analyzed through a variety of basic parameters. The results show that high coal rank reservoir has the biggest range ability of porosity and permeability under the same pressure difference conditions, followed by the middle rank and the low rank. The research observed the positive relationship between stress-sensitivity and declining period of porosity and permeability in low rank coal reservoir, and the inverse relationship between matrix shrinkage and declining period of porosity and permeability. The stronger the matrix shrinkage is,the earlier declining period and rise period will occur. | Lai Fengpeng Li Zhiping Wang Yining Yao Jingjie | 2013 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,5: | 2
Ultrasmall AuPd nanoclusters on amine-functionalized carbon blacks as high-performance bi-functional catalysts for ethanol electrooxidation and formic acid dehydrogenation显示文摘The synthesis of ultrasmall metal nanoclusters(NCs) with high catalytic activities is of great importance for the development of clean and renewable energy technologies but remains a challenge. Here we report a facile wet-chemical method to prepare ~1.0 nm Au Pd NCs supported on amine-functionalized carbon blacks. The Au Pd NCs exhibit a specific activity of 5.98 mA cm_(AuPd)^(-2)and mass activity of 5.25 A mg_(auPd)^(-1) for ethanol electrooxidation, which are far better than those of commercial Pd/C catalysts(1.74 mAcm_(AuPd)^(-2) and 0.54 A mg_(Pd)^(-1) ). For formic acid dehydrogenation, the Au Pd NCs have an initial turn over frequency of 49339 h^(-1) at 298 K without any additive, which is much higher than those obtained for most of reported Au Pd catalysts. The reported synthesis may represent a facile and low-cost approach to prepare other ultrasmall metal NCs with high catalytic activities for various applications. | Yuhuan Cui Ming Zhao Yining Zou Junyu Zhang Jiuhui Han Zhili Wang Qing Jiang | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,5: | 1

Thalidomide ameliorates portal hypertension via nitric oxide synthase independent reduced systolic blood pressure显示文摘AIM: Portal hypertension is a common complication of liver cirrhosis and significantly increases mortality and morbidity.Previous reports have suggested that the compound thalidomide attenuates portal hypertension(PHT).However, the mechanism for this action is not fully elucidated. One hypothesis is that thalidomide destabilizes tumor necrosis factor α(TNFα) mR NA and therefore diminishes TNFα induction of nitric oxide synthase(NOS) and the production of nitric oxide(NO).To examine this hypothesis, we utilized the murine partial portal vein ligation(PVL) PHT model in combination with endothelial or inducible NOS isoform gene knockout mice.METHODS: Wild type, inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)-/- and endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS)-/-mice received either PVL or sham surgery and were given either thalidomide or vehicle.Serum nitrate(total nitrate, NOx) was measured daily for 7 d as a surrogate of NO synthesis.Serum TNFα level was quantified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.TNFα m RNA was quantified in liver and aorta tissue by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.PHT was determined by recording splenic pulp pressure(SPP) and abdominal aortic flow after 0-7 d.Response to thalidomide was determined by measurement of SPP and mean arterial pressure(MAP).RESULTS: SPP, abdominal aortic flow(Qao) and plasma NOx were increased in wild type and i NOS-/-PVL mice when compared to sham operated control mice.In contrast, SPP, Qao and plasma NOx were not increased in e NOS-/- PVL mice when compared to sham controls.Serum TNFα level in both sham and PVL mice was below the detection limit of the commercial ELISA used. Therefore, the effect of thalidomide on serum TNFα levels was undetermined in wild type, e NOS-/-or i NOS-/- mice.Thalidomide acutely increased plasma NOx in wild type and e NOS-/- mice but not i NOS-/-mice.Moreover, thalidomide temporarily(0-90 min) decreased mean arterial pressure, SPP and Qao in wild type, e NOS-/- and i NOS-/- PVL mice, after which time levels returned to the respective baseline.CONCLUSION: Thalidomide does not reduce portalpressure in the murine PVL model by modulation of NO biosynthesis.Rather, thalidomide reduces PHT by decreasing MAP by an undetermined mechanism. | Nicholas G Theodorakis Yining N Wang Vyacheslav A Korshunov Mary A Maluccio Nicholas J Skill | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,14: | 1
