2Influence of Valve's Characteristic on Total Performance of Three Cylinders Internal Combustion Water Pump显示文摘Intenal combustion pump(ICP) is a new type power device turning the thermal energy from fuel combustion into fluid pressure energy.Three cylinders prototype has just been developed.The study on the influence of valve's characteristic on ICP's total performance will found the base for its optimum design.Based on the theoretical and testing fruits of single cylinder prototype, the performance of the valves and complete appliance of the latest is simulated.When the natural frequency of valves is approximately to the round number times of the working frequency, volumetric efficiency is seriously low.The nominal rotational speed of the prototype is nearly to the speed where the volumetric efficiency is lowest, which is harmful to the normal work of ICP, so further structure optimization of valves should be carried out.The change of volumetric efficiency has great influence on the fuel consumption rate, output flow, effective thermal efficiency, effective power, and so on, but little on output pressure.ZHANG Hongxin ZHANG Tiezhu WANG Weichao 2009Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,1:14

4Integrated energy-oriented cruising control of electric vehicle on highway with varying slopes considering battery aging显示文摘Eco-driving strategies for vehicles with conventional powertrains have been studied for years and attempt to reduce fuel consumption by optimizing the driving velocity profile.For electric vehicles(EVs)with regenerative braking,the speed profile with the best energy efficiency should be different from conventional vehicles.This paper proposes an energy-oriented cruising control strategy for EVs with a hierarchical structure to realize eco-cruising on highways with varying slopes.The upper layer plans the energy-optimized vehicle velocity,and the lower layer calculates the torque allocation between the front and rear axles.However,the resulting speed profile with varying velocity may cause a high charge and discharge rate of the battery,resulting in rapid battery fading.To extend the battery life,we make a tradeoff between the energy consumption and wear of the battery by formulating an optimal control problem,where driving comfort and travel time are also considered.An indirect optimal control method is implemented to derive the optimal control rule.As an extension,the control rule for avoiding rear-end collisions is presented and simulated for driving in the real world.ZHUANG WeiChao QU LingHu XU ShaoBing LI BingBing CHEN Nan YIN GuoDong 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,1:10
5Analysis of the Pump-turbine S Characteristics Using the Detached Eddy Simulation Method显示文摘Current research on pump-turbine units is focused on the unstable operation at off-design conditions, with the characteristic curves in generating mode being S-shaped. Unlike in the traditional water turbines, pump-turbine operation along the S-shaped curve can lead to difficulties during load rejection with unusual increases in the water pressure, which leads to machine vibrations. This paper describes both model tests and numerical simulations. A reduced scale model of a low specific speed pump-turbine was used for the performance tests, with comparisons to computational fluid dynamics(CFD) results. Predictions using the detached eddy simulation(DES) turbulence model, which is a combined Reynolds averaged Naviers-Stokes(RANS) and large eddy simulation(LES) model, are compared with the two-equation turbulence mode results. The external characteristics as well as the internal flow are for various guide vane openings to understand the unsteady flow along the so called S characteristics of a pump-turbine. Comparison of the experimental data with the CFD results for various conditions and times shows that DES model gives better agreement with experimental data than the two-equation turbulence model. For low flow conditions, the centrifugal forces and the large incident angle create large vortices between the guide vanes and the runner inlet in the runner passage, which is the main factor leading to the S-shaped characteristics. 6A LysM Receptor Heteromer Mediates Perception of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Symbiotic Signal in Rice显示文摘Symbiotic microorganisms improve nutrient uptake by plants.To initiate mutualistic symbiosis with arbus-cular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,plants perceive Myc factors,including lipochitooligosaccharides(LCOs)and short-chain chitooligosaccharides(CO4/CO5),secreted by AM fungi.However,the molecular mechanism of Myc factor perception remains elusive.In this study,we identified a heteromer of LysM receptor-like kinases consisting of OsMYR1/OsLYK2 and OsCERK1 that mediates the perception of AM fungi in rice.CO4 directly binds to OsMYR1,promoting the dimerization and phosphorylation of this receptor complex.Compared with control plants,Osmyr1 and Oscerk1 mutant rice plants are less sensitive to Myc factors and show decreased AM colonization.We engineered transgenic rice by expressing chimeric receptors that respectively replaced the ectodomains of OsMYR1 and OsCERK1 with those from the homologous Nod factor receptors MtNFP and MtL YK3 of Medicago truncatula.Transgenic plants displayed increased cal-cium oscillations in response to Nod factors compared with control rice.Our study provides significant mechanistic insights into AM symbiotic signal perception in rice.Expression of chimeric Nod/Myc recep-tors achieves a potentially important step toward generating cereals that host nitrogen-fixing bacteria.Jiangman He Chi Zhang Huiling Dai Huan Liu Xiaowei Zhang Jun Yang Xi Chen Yayun Zhu Dapeng Wang Xiaofeng Qi Weichao Li Zhihui Wang Guoyong An Nan YU Zuhua He Yong-Fei Wang Youli Xiao Peng Zhang Ertao Wang 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,12:9
7Effect of N fertilization rate on soil alkalihydrolyzable N, subtending leaf N concentration,fiber yield, and quality of cotton显示文摘Soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen, which is sensitive to N fertilization rate, is one of the indicators of soil nitrogen supplying capacity. Two field experiments were conducted in Dongtai(120°19″ E, 32°52″ N), Jiangsu, China in 2009 and Dafeng(120°28″ E, 33°12″ N), Jiangsu province, China in 2010. Six nitrogen rates(0, 150, 300, 375, 450, and 600 kg ha^(-1)) were used to study the effect of N fertilization rate on soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen content(SAHNC), subtending leaf nitrogen concentration(SLNC), yield, and fiber quality. In both Dongtai and Dafeng experiment station, the highest yield(1709 kg ha^(-1)), best quality(fiber length 30.6 mm, fiber strength 31.6 c N tex^(-1), micronaire 4.82), and highest N agronomic efficiency(2.03 kg kg^(-1)) were achieved at the nitrogen fertilization rate of 375 kg ha^(-1). The dynamics of SAHNC and SLNC could be simulated with a cubic and an exponential function,respectively. The changes in SAHNC were consistent with the changes in SLNC. Optimal average rate(0.276 mg day^(-1)) and duration(51.8 days) of SAHNC rapid decline were similar to the values obtained at the nitrogen rate of 375 kg ha^(-1)at which cotton showed highest fiber yield, quality, and N agronomic efficiency. Thus, the levels and strategies of nitrogen fertilization can affect SAHNC dynamics. 9Rational cutting height for large cutting height fully mechanized top-coal caving显示文摘Large cutting height fully mechanized top-coal caving is a new mining method that improves recovery ratio and single-pass production. It also allows safe and efficient mining. A rational cutting height is one key parameter of this technique. Numerical simulation and a granular-media model experiment were used to analyze the effect of cutting height on the rock pressure of a fully mechanized top-coal caving work face. The recovery ratio was also studied. As the cutting height increases the top-coal thickness is reduced. Changing the ratio of cutting to drawing height intensifies the face pressure and the top-coal shattering. A maximum cutting height exists under a given set of conditions due to issues with surrounding rock-mass control. An increase in cutting height makes the top-coal cave better and the recovery ratio when drawing top-coal is then improved. A method of adjusting the face rock pressure is presented. Changing the cutting to drawing height ratio is the technique used to control face rock pressure. The recovery ratio when cutting coal exceeds that when caving top-coal so the face recovery ratio may be improved by over sizing the cutting height and increasing the top-coal drawing ratio. An optimum ratio of cutting to drawing height exists that maximizes the face recovery ratio. A rational cutting height is determined by comprehensively considering the surrounding rock-mass control and the recovery ratio. 10Optimization of slightly acidic electrolyzed water spray for airborne culturable bacteria reduction in animal housing显示文摘Slightly acidic electrolyzed water(SAEW)spray has been considered as a novel approach for airborne bacteria reduction in animal housing.This study aimed to optimize the operating parameters of SAEW spray based on the size distribution of sprayed aerosols,the available chlorine travelling loss in sprayed aerosols,and the reduction efficiency of airborne culturable bacteria(CB).The optimized operating parameters were the nozzle orifice diameter and the spray pressure.The size distribution characteristics of sprayed SAEW aerosols under different operating parameters were quantified.The pH and available chlorine concentrations of the original SAEW solution and the SAEW aerosols collected at 0 m,0.25 m,0.50 m,0.75 m,and 1.00 m from the spray nozzle head were analyzed.A bioaerosol nebulizing generator was used to simulate animal housing environment in an environmentally-controlled chamber.Six SAEW spray trials under different operating parameters were conducted at a spray dosage of 80 mL/m2 in the chamber.Airborne CB concentrations before and after spray were measured to investigate the reduction efficiency of airborne CB.Dv(50),the volume-based diameter below which 50%of the particle being present,increased with the nozzle orifice diameter and decreased with the spray pressure.The travelling loss of available chlorine in the sprayed SAEW aerosols was greatly dependent on Dv(50).SAEW spray with medium size sprayed aerosols(Dv(50)=86.62μm,67.94μm,and 54.53μm)showed significantly higher airborne CB reduction efficiencies than large(Dv(50)=121.80μm and 96.00μm)or small size aerosols(Dv(50)=42.57μm).The spray operating parameters that provide medium size sprayed aerosols(Dv(50)~60-90μm)are recommended for SAEW spray in animal housing.Zheng Weichao Ni Li Hui Xue Li Baoming Zhang Jiafa 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:7
11Electrolyzed water and its application in animal houses显示文摘Electrolyzed water(EW) can be produced by electrolysis of a dilute salt solution. Slightly acidic electrolyzed water(SAEW, p H 5.0–6.5) and neutral electrolyzed water(NEW, p H 6.5–8.5) are considered healthy and environmentally friendly because no hazardous chemicals are added in its production, there is reduced corrosion of surfaces and it minimizes the potential for damage to animal and human health. Over the last decade, EW has become increasingly popular as an alternative disinfectant for decontamination in animal houses. However, there have been some issues related to EW that are not well known, including different mechanisms for generation of SAEW and NEW, and the antimicrobial mechanism of EW. 12Robust Cooperative Control of Multiple Autonomous Vehicles for Platoon Formation Considering Parameter Uncertainties显示文摘This paper proposes a robust cooperative control strategy for multiple autonomous vehicles to achieve safe and efficient platoon formation,and it analyzes the effects of vehicle stability boundaries and parameter uncertainties.The cooperative vehicle control framework is composed of the upper planning level and lower tracking control level.In the planning level,the trajectory of each vehicle is generated by using the multi-objective flocking algorithm to form the platoon.The parameters of the flocking algorithm are optimized to prevent the vehicle speed and yaw rate from going beyond their limits.In the lower level,to realize the stable platoon formation,a lumped disturbance observer is designed to gain the stable-state reference,and a distributed robust model predictive controller is proposed to achieve the offset-free trajectory tracking while downsizing the effects of parameter uncertainties.The simulation results show the proposed cooperative control strategy can achieve safe and efficient platoon formation.Weichao Zhuang Liwei Xu Guodong Yin 2020Automotive Innovation2020,3,1:5
13Toxicity of substituted benzenes and algae (Scenedesmus obliquus) with solvation equation显示文摘Quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs) for the toxicity of substituted phenols, anilines and nitrobenzenes to algae (Scenedesmus obliquus) have been studied. Chemicals were divided into polar narcotics and electrophiles based on structure criteria according to the toxicity mechanisms of action. A good relationship between the toxicity and octanol/water partition coefficient (logP) was observed for the polar narcotic compounds. The results confirmed that hydrophobicity is the determining physicochemical parameter in modelling narcotics. However, no statistically significant mono-parametric QSAR models could be made from descriptors calculated in this study for all the compounds. In order to investigate the mechanisms of toxic action and develop QSAR models for all compounds, Abraham solvation descriptors were calculated from the program of Pharma-Algorithms. Stepwise regression produced a three-parameter QSAR model (polarizability/dipolarity, hydrogen-bond basicity and molecular volume) with a good statistical fit for all the compounds studied, which had square of the correlation coefficient R2=0.83. We have also developed an interpretable QSAR model by using parameter of logP, which represents the bio-uptake process, and polarizability/dipolarity (S), which represents the interaction of chemicals with the acceptor micromolecules (target receptor) at the active site. 14A hybrid multi-degree-of-freedom vibration isolation platform for spacecrafts by the linear active disturbance rejection control显示文摘The hybrid vibration isolation, which takes advantages of both the passive and active approaches, has been an important solution for space missions. The objective of this paper is to design a vibration isolation platform for payloads on spacecrafts with the robust, wide bandwidth, and multi-degree-of-freedom(MDOF). The proposed solution is based on a parallel mechanism with six voice-coil motors(VCMs) as the actuators. The linear active disturbance resistance control(LADRC) algorithm is used for the active control. Numerical simulation results show that the vibration isolation platform performs effectively over a wide bandwidth, and the resonance introduced by the passive isolation is eliminated. 15Responses of plant community to the linkages in plant-soil C:N:P stoichiometry during secondary succession of abandoned farmlands,China显示文摘Succession is one of the central themes of ecology;however,the relationship between aboveground plant communities and underground soils during secondary succession remains unclear.In this study,we investigated the composition of plant community,plant-soil C:N:P stoichiometry and their relationships during secondary succession after the abandonment of farmlands for 0,10,20,30,40 and 50 a in China,2016.Results showed that the composition of plant communities was most diverse in the farmlands after secondary succession for 20 and 50 a.Soil organic carbon and total nitrogen contents slightly decreased after secondary succession for 30 a,but both were significantly higher than those of control farmland(31.21%-139.10%and 24.24%-121.21%,respectively).Moreover,C:N ratios of soil and microbe greatly contributed to the changes in plant community composition during secondary succession of abandoned farmlands,explaining 35.70%of the total variation.Particularly,soil C:N ratio was significantly and positively related with the Shannon-Wiener index.This study provides the evidence of synchronous evolution between plant community and soil during secondary succession and C:N ratio is an important linkage between them.LIU Weichao FU Shuyue YAN Shengji REN Chengjie WU Shaojun DENG Jian LI Boyong HAN Xinhui YANG Gaihe 2020Journal of Arid Land2020,12,2:5

17Application of a neural network system combined with genetic algorithm to rank coalbed methane reservoirs in the order of exploitation priority显示文摘A new method based on the combination of a neural network and a genetic algorithm was proposed to rank the order of exploitation priority of coalbed methane reservoirs.The neural network was used to acquire the weights of reservoir parameters through sample training and genetic algorithm was used to optimize the initial connection weights of nerve cells in case the neural network fell into a local minimum.Additionally,subordinate functions of each parameter were established to normalize the actual values of parameters of coalbed methane reservoirs in the range between zero and unity.Eventually, evaluation values of all coalbed methane reservoirs could be obtained by using the comprehensive evaluation method,which is the basis to rank the coalbed methane reservoirs in the order of exploitation priority.The greater the evaluation value,the higher the exploitation priority.The ranking method was verified in this paper by ten exploited coalbed methane reservoirs in China.The evaluation results are in agreement with the actual exploitation cases.The method can ensure the truthfulness and credibility of the weights of parameters and avoid the subjectivity caused by experts.Furthermore,the probability of falling into local minima is reduced,because genetic the algorithm is used to optimize the neural network system.Li Weichao Wu Xiaodong Shi Junfeng 2008Petroleum Science2008,5,4:4
18Energy-Optimal Braking Control Using a Double-Layer Scheme for Trajectory Planning and Tracking of Connected Electric Vehicles显示文摘Most researches focus on the regenerative braking system design in vehicle components control and braking torque distribution,few combine the connected vehicle technologies into braking velocity planning.If the braking intention is accessed by the vehicle-to-everything communication,the electric vehicles(EVs)could plan the braking velocity for recovering more vehicle kinetic energy.Therefore,this paper presents an energy-optimal braking strategy(EOBS)to improve the energy efficiency of EVs with the consideration of shared braking intention.First,a double-layer control scheme is formulated.In the upper-layer,an energy-optimal braking problem with accessed braking intention is formulated and solved by the distance-based dynamic programming algorithm,which could derive the energy-optimal braking trajectory.In the lower-layer,the nonlinear time-varying vehicle longitudinal dynamics is transformed to the linear time-varying system,then an efficient model predictive controller is designed and solved by quadratic programming algorithm to track the original energy-optimal braking trajectory while ensuring braking comfort and safety.Several simulations are conducted by jointing MATLAB and CarSim,the results demonstrated the proposed EOBS achieves prominent regeneration energy improvement than the regular constant deceleration braking strategy.Finally,the energy-optimal braking mechanism of EVs is investigated based on the analysis of braking deceleration,battery charging power,and motor efficiency,which could be a guide to real-time control.Haoxuan Dong Weichao Zhuang Guodong Yin Liwei Xu Yan Wang Fa’an Wang Yanbo Lu 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,5:3

20A Data and Knowledge Collaboration Strategy for Decision-Making on the Amount of Aluminum Fluoride Addition Based on Augmented Fuzzy Cognitive Maps显示文摘In the aluminum reduction process, aluminum uoride (AlF3) is added to lower the liquidus temperature of the electrolyte and increase the electrolytic ef ciency. Making the decision on the amount of AlF3 addi- tion (referred to in this work as MDAAA) is a complex and knowledge-based task that must take into con- sideration a variety of interrelated functions;in practice, this decision-making step is performed manually. Due to technician subjectivity and the complexity of the aluminum reduction cell, it is dif cult to guarantee the accuracy of MDAAA based on knowledge-driven or data-driven methods alone. Existing strategies for MDAAA have dif culty covering these complex causalities. In this work, a data and knowl- edge collaboration strategy for MDAAA based on augmented fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs) is proposed. In the proposed strategy, the fuzzy rules are extracted by extended fuzzy k-means (EFKM) and fuzzy deci- sion trees, which are used to amend the initial structure provided by experts. The state transition algo- rithm (STA) is introduced to detect weight matrices that lead the FCMs to desired steady states. This study then experimentally compares the proposed strategy with some existing research. The results of the comparison show that the speed of FCMs convergence into a stable region based on the STA using the proposed strategy is faster than when using the differential Hebbian learning (DHL), particle swarm optimization (PSO), or genetic algorithm (GA) strategies. In addition, the accuracy of MDAAA based on the proposed method is better than those based on other methods.
