1Investigation of Mg^2+/Li^+ Separation by Nanofiltration显示文摘The Mg2+/Li+/Cl solutions were filtrated with a commercially available DK nanofiltration membrane to investigate the possibility to enrich the lithium component.The investigation was significant as such an approach might be a competing substitute for the present lithium purification industry and the environmental protection purpose.The Donnan steric pore model(DSPM) was implemented for the prediction.The separation of Mg2+/Li+was mainly affected by the working pressure(or the permeation flux) and a limiting separation factor was found around 0.31.The effective membrane charge density was evaluated and its dependence on the permeation flux as well as the ion pattern was discussed.For predicting an actual separation of electrolytes,the experimental investigation seems necessary for the reliability and efficiency.YANG Gang SHI Hong LIU Wenqiang XING Weihong XU Nanping 2011Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2011,19,4:21
2Calcineurin B-like interacting protein kinase OsCIPK23 functions in pollination and drought stress responses in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Drought is very harmful to grain yield due to its adverse effect on reproduction, especially on pollination process in rice. However, the molecular basis of such an effect still remains largely unknown. Here, we report the role of a member of CBL (Calcineurin B-Like) Interacting Protein Kinase (CIPK) family, OsCIPK23, in pollination and stress responses in rice. Molecular analyses revealed that it is mainly expressed in pistil and anther but up-regulated by pollination, as well as by treatments of various abiotic stresses and phytohormones. RNA interference-mediated suppression of OsCIPK23 expression significantly reduced seed set and conferred a hypersensitive response to drought stress, indicating its possible roles in pollination and drought stress. In consistent, overexpression of OsCIPK23 induced the expression of several drought tolerance related genes. 4Advance in highly efficient hydrogen production by high temperature steam electrolysis显示文摘High Temperature Steam Electrolysis (HTSE) through a solid oxide electrolytic cell (SOEC) has been receiving increasing research and development attention worldwide because of its high conversion efficiency (about 45%-59%) and its potential usage for large-scale production of hydrogen. The mechanism, composition, structure, and developing challenges of SOEC are summarized. Current situation, key materials, and core technologies of SOEC (solid oxide electrolytic cell) in HTSE are re- viewed, and the prospect of HTSE future application in advanced energy fields is proposed. 5Microwave Absorption and Shielding Property of Composites with FeSiAl and Carbonous Materials as Filler显示文摘Silicone rubber composites filled with FeSiAl alloys and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)/graphite have been prepared for the first time by a coating process.The complex permittivity and permeability of the composites were measured with a vector network analyzer in a 1-4 GHz frequency range,and the DC electric conductivity was measured by a standard four-point contact method.These parameters were then used to calculate the reflection loss(RL) and shielding effectiveness(SE) of the composites.The results showed that the added MWCNT increased the permittivity and permeability of composites in the L-band,while the added graphite increased only the permittivity.The variation lies in the interactions between two carbonous absorbents.Addition of 1 wt% MWCNT enhanced the RL in the L-band(minimum 5.7 dB at 1 mm,7.3 dB at 1.5 mm),while the addition of graphite did not.Addition of MWCNT as well as graphite reinforced the shielding property of the composites(maximum SE 13.3 dB at 1 mm,18.3 dB at 1.5 mm) owing to the increase of conductivity.The addition of these carbonous materials could hold the promise of enforcing the absorption and shielding property of the absorbers.Wenqiang Zhang Yonggang Xu Liming Yuan Jun Cai Deyuan Zhang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,10:8
6Effects of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes on the Electromagnetic Absorbing Characteristics of Composites Filled with Carbonyl Iron Particles显示文摘The electromagnetic(EM) wave absorbing property of silicone rubber filled with carbonyl iron particles(CIPs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) was examined.Absorbents including MWCNTs and spherical/flaky CIPs were added to silicone rubber using a two-roll mixer.The complex permittivity and complex permeability were measured over the frequency range of 1-18 GHz.The two EM parameters were verified and the uniform dispersion of MWCNTs and CIPs was confirmed by comparing the measured reflection loss(RL) with the calculated one.As the MWCNT weight percent increased,the RL of the spherical CIPs/silicone rubber composites changed insignificantly.It was attributed to the random distribution of spherical CIPs and less content of MWCNTs.On the contrary,for composites filled with flaky CIPs the absorption bandwidth increased at thickness 0.5 mm(RL value lower than-5 dB in 8-18 GHz) and the absorption ratio increased at lower frequency(minimum-35 dB at 3.5 GHz).This effect was attributed to the oriented distribution of flaky CIPs caused by interactions between the two absorbents.Therefore,mixing MWCNTs and flaky CIPs could achieve wider-band and higher-absorption ratio absorbing materials.Yonggang Xu Deyuan Zhang Jun Cai Liming Yuan Wenqiang Zhang 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,1:7
7A spatial geostatistical analysis of impact of land use development on groundwater resources in the Sangong Oasis Region using remote sensing imagery and data显示文摘In this study, the relationship between land use and cover change (LUCC) and variation of groundwater level and quality in the Sangong Oasis Region was investigated using a spatial geostatistical approach. Specifically, interactions among groundwater, surface water, and LUCC were analyzed through the utilization of geographical information system (GIS), remote sensing (RS) Imagery processing, and geostatistics. Study outputs indicated that recharging into the ground-water did not change significantly during the period from 1978 to 1998. However, both LUCC and groundwater level changed substantially in the Sangong Oasis Region, and their variations were closely correlated to each other spatially and temporally over the past two decades. It confirmed that urbanization process and increased industrial activities were the direct reasons of groundwater table descending and the deterioration of water quality. 8Platelet-rich plasma combined with injectable hyaluronic acid hydrogel for porcine cartilage regeneration: a 6-month follow-up显示文摘Based on our previous study,the utilization of an ultraviolet light photo-cross-linkable hyaluronic acid(HA)hydrogel integrated with a small molecule kartogenin-encapsulated nanoparticles obtained good reconstruction of osteochondral defects in a rabbit model,indicating the superiority of injectable hydrogel-based scaffolds in cartilage tissue engineering.Platelet-rich plasma(PRP),rich in various growth factors,proteins and cytokines,is considered to facilitate cartilage healing by stimulating cell proliferation and inducing chondrogenesis in cartilage defect site.The aim of this study was to test the therapeutic feasibility of autologous PRP combined with injectable HA hydrogel on cartilage repair.The focal cartilage defects with different critical sizes in the medial femoral condyle of a porcine model were used.At 6 months,the minipigs were sacrificed for assessment of macroscopic appearance,magnetic resonance imaging,micro-computed tomography,histology staining and biomechanics.The HA hydrogel combined with PRP-treated group showed more hyaline-like cartilage exhibited by macroscopic appearance and histological staining in terms of extracellular matrix and type II collagen without formation of hypertrophic cartilage,indicating its capacity to improve cartilage healing in the minipig model evaluated at 6 months,with full-thickness cartilage defect of 8.5mm diameter and osteochondral defect of 6.5mm diameter,5mm depth exhibiting apparent regeneration.Wenqiang Yan Xingquan Xu Qian Xu Ziying Sun Qing Jiang Dongquan Shi 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,1:6
9Trust-Based Context-Aware Mobile Social Network Service Recommendation显示文摘The service recommendation mechanism as a key enabling technology that provides users with more proactive and personalized service is one of the important research topics in mobile social network(MSN). Meanwhile,MSN is susceptible to various types of anonymous information or hacker actions. Trust can reduce the risk of interaction with unknown entities and prevent malicious attacks. In our paper,we present a trust-based service recommendation algorithm in MSN that considers users' similarity and friends' familiarity when computing trustworthy neighbors of target users. Firstly,we use the context information and the number of co-rated items to define users' similarity. Then,motivated by the theory of six degrees of space,the friend familiarity is derived by graph-based method. Thus the proposed methods are further enhanced by considering users' context in the recommendation phase. Finally,a set of simulations are conducted to evaluate the accuracy of the algorithm. 12Approach and potential of replacing oil and natural gas with coal in China显示文摘China’s fossil energy is characterized by an abundance of coal and a relative lack of oil and natural gas.Developing a strategy in which coal can replace oil and natural gas is,therefore,a necessary and practical approach to easing the excessive external dependence on oil and natural gas.Based on the perspective of energy security,this paper proposes a technical framework for defining the substitution of oil and natural gas with coal in China.In this framework,three substitution classifications and 11 industrialized technical routes are reviewed.Then,three scenarios(namely,the cautious scenario,baseline scenario,and positive scenario)are developed to estimate the potential of this strategy for 2020 and 2030.The results indicate that oil and natural gas replaced by coal will reach 67 to 81 Mt and 8.7 to 14.3 Gm^3 in 2020 and reach 93 to 138 Mt and 32.3 to 47.3 Gm^3 in 2030,respectively.By implementing this strategy,China’s external dependence on oil,natural gas,and primary energy is expected to be curbed at approximately 70%,40%,and 20%by 2030,respectively.This paper also demonstrates how coal,as a substitute for oil and natural gas,can contribute to carbon and pollution reduction and economic cost savings.It suggests a new direction for the development of the global coal industry and provides a crucial reference for energy transformation in China and other countries with similar energy situations.Junjie LI Yajun TIAN Xiaohui YAN Jingdong YANG Yonggang WANG Wenqiang XU Kechang XIE 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,2:3
13Novel lift enhancement method based on zero-mass-flux jets and its adaptive controlling laws design显示文摘For lessening the weight and volume of flow control system,enlarging the circulation control applying area of angle of attack(AOA),and achieving nice controlling characteristics,a novel lift enhancement method based on dual synthetic jet actuators(DSJAs)and synthetic jet actuator(SJA),and an adaptive proportional integral and differential(PID)algorithm based on radial basis function neural network are introduced.DSJAs are uniformly located along the chord to suppress the separation and trailing-edge SJA is applied to achieve the high circulation.Velocities of actuators are modulated to realize the real speed profile and on–off controlling laws of DSJAs are designed.Numerical simulations show that DSJAs and SJA could suppress the separation completely and move leading-edge stagnation point and trailing-edge separation point downstream even at AOA of 19°,hence achieve the highest lift and nose-down moment augmentation(ΔCl_(max)=0.92,ΔCm_(max)=0.02534),andΔL/D can reach 11.39 at AOA of 18°.Stalling is delayed to more than 19°.Linear lift area and pitch-break angle are both increased to 16°.ΔCl/C_(μ) can reach 76.7,indicating the greatest control efficiency.The results of adaptive PID control,whose controlling effects are proved better than PID,indicate that lift could track the objective with the rise time of 0.0325 s and finally keep steady,suggesting the nice stability and rapidness.Zhijie Zhao Zhenbing Luo Bin Xu Xiong Deng Yuyan Guo Wenqiang Peng Shiqing Li 2021Acta Mechanica Sinica2021,37,10:3
14Machine Learning Approach to Enhance the Performance of MNP?Labeled Lateral Flow Immunoassay显示文摘The use of magnetic nanoparticle(MNP)-labeled immunochromatography test strips(ICTSs) is very important for point-ofcare testing(POCT). However, common diagnostic methods cannot accurately analyze the weak magnetic signal from ICTSs, limiting the applications of POCT. In this study, an ultrasensitive multiplex biosensor was designed to overcome the limitations of capturing and normalization of the weak magnetic signal from MNPs on ICTSs. A machine learning model for sandwich assays was constructed and used to classify weakly positive and negative samples, which significantly enhanced the specificity and sensitivity. The potential clinical application was evaluated by detecting 50 human chorionic gonadotropin(HCG) samples and 59 myocardial infarction serum samples. The quantitative range for HCG was 1–1000 mIU mL^(-1) and the ideal detection limit was 0.014 mIU mL^(-1), which was well below the clinical threshold. Quantitative detection results of multiplex cardiac markers showed good linear correlations with standard values. 16Hymecromone:a clinical prescription hyaluronan inhibitor for efficiently blocking COVID-19 progression显示文摘Currently,there is no effective drugs for treating clinically COVID-19 except dexamethasone.We previously revealed that human identical sequences of SARS-CoV-2 promote the COVID-19 progression by upregulating hyaluronic acid(HA).As the inhibitor of HA synthesis,hymecromone is an approved prescription drug used for treating biliary spasm.Here,we aimed to investigate the relation between HA and COVID-19,and evaluate the therapeutic effects of hymecromone on COVID-19.Firstly,HA was closely relevant to clinical parameters,including lymphocytes(n=158;r=−0.50;P<0.0001),C-reactive protein(n=156;r=0.55;P<0.0001),D-dimer(n=154;r=0.38;P<0.0001),and fibrinogen(n=152;r=0.37;P<0.0001),as well as the mass(n=78;r=0.43;P<0.0001)and volume(n=78;r=0.41;P=0.0002)of ground-glass opacity,the mass(n=78;r=0.48;P<0.0001)and volume(n=78;r=0.47;P<0.0001)of consolidation in patient with low level of hyaluronan(HA<48.43 ng/mL).Furthermore,hyaluronan could directly cause mouse pulmonary lesions.Besides,hymecromone remarkably reduced HA via downregulating HAS2/HAS3 expression.Moreover,89%patients with hymecromone treatment had pulmonary lesion absorption while only 42%patients in control group had pulmonary lesion absorption(P<0.0001).In addition,lymphocytes recovered more quickly in hymecromone-treated patients(n=8)than control group(n=5)(P<0.05).These findings suggest that hymecromone is a promising drug for COVID-19 and deserves our further efforts to determine its effect in a larger cohort.Shuai Yang Yun Ling Fang Zhao Wei Li Zhigang Song Lu Wang Qiuting Li Mengxing Liu Ying Tong Lu Chen Daoping Ru Tongsheng Zhang Kaicheng Zhou Baolong Zhang Peng Xu Zhicong Yang Wenxuan Li Yuanlin Song Jianqing Xu Tongyu Zhu Fei Shan Wenqiang Yu Hongzhou Lu 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:2
17Targeting macrophagic SHP2 for ameliorating osteoarthritis via TLR signaling显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA),in which M1 macrophage polarization in the synovium exacerbates disease progression,is a major cause of cartilage degeneration and functional disabilities.Therapeutic strategies of OA designed to interfere with the polarization of macrophages have rarely been reported.Here,we report that SHP099,as an allosteric inhibitor of src-homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2),attenuated osteoarthritis progression by inhibiting M1 macrophage polarization.We demonstrated that M1 macrophage polarization was accompanied by the overexpression of SHP2 in the synovial tissues of OA patients and OA model mice.Compared to wild-type(WT)mice,myeloid lineage conditional Shp2 knockout(c KO)mice showed decreased M1 macrophage polarization and attenuated severity of synovitis,an elevated expression of cartilage phenotype protein collagen II(COL2),and a decreased expression of cartilage degradation markers collagen X(COL10)and matrix metalloproteinase3(MMP3)in OA cartilage.Further mechanistic analysis showed that SHP099 inhibited lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling mediated by nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)and PI3K—AKT signaling.Moreover,intra-articular injection of SHP099 also significantly attenuated OA progression,including joint synovitis and cartilage damage.These results indicated that allosteric inhibition of SHP2 might be a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of OA.Ziying Sun Qianqian Liu Zhongyang Lv Jiawei Li Xingquan Xu Heng Sun Maochun Wang Kuoyang Sun Tianshu Shi Zizheng Liu Guihua Tan Wenqiang Yan Rui Wu Yannick Xiaofan Yang Shiro Ikegawa Qing Jiang Yang Sun Dongquan Shi 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,7:2
18The relationship between soil,climate and forest development in the mid-mountain zone of the Sangong River watershed in the northern Tianshan Mountains,China显示文摘The mountainous forests in arid regions, being sensitive to climate change, are one of the key research topics related to the mechanism of interaction between climate and the terrestrial ecosystem. In this study, the spatial distribution of a mid-mountain forest and its environmental factors were investigated by using a combination of remote sensing technology, field survey, climate indices and soil nutrient analysis in the Sangong River watershed of the northern Tianshan Mountains. The forest(Picea schrenkiana) was distributed between 1,510 and 2,720 m asl. Tree height and diameter at breast height(DBH) exhibited a bi-modal pattern with increasing elevation, and rested at 2,450 and 2,250 m asl, respectively. The two maxima of DBH appeared at 2,000 and 2,550 m asl, and the taller trees were observed at 2,100 and 2,600 m asl. For the annual mean temperature, the difference was approximately 5.8°C between the lowest and the highest limits of the forest, and the average decreasing rates per hundred meters were 0.49°C and 0.55°C with increasing altitude between 1,500 and 2,000 m asl and above 2,000 m asl, respectively. The annual precipitation in the forest zone first increased and then decreased with the increase of altitude, and the maximum value was at 2,000 m asl. For per hundred meters, the annual precipitation increased with the rate of 31 mm between 1,500 and 2,000 m asl and decreased by 7.8 mm above 2,000 m asl. The SOM, TN and TP were high between 2,000 and 2,700 m asl and low at the lower and upper forest limits. The minimum Ca CO3 concentration, p H value and EC coincided with the maximum precipitation belt at 2,000 m asl. The SOM, TN and TP were high in the topsoil(0–10 cm) and differed significantly from the values observed in the deep soil layers(>10 cm). The soil nutrients exhibited spatial heterogeneity and higher aggregation in the topsoil. In conclusion, soil and climate are closely related to each other, working synergistically to determine the development and spatial distribution of the mid-mountain forest in the study area. 20A Rapid Prediction Model of Urban Flood Inundation in a High-Risk Area Coupling Machine Learning and Numerical Simulation Approaches显示文摘Climate change has led to increasing frequency of sudden extreme heavy rainfall events in cities,resulting in great disaster losses.Therefore,in emergency management,we need to be timely in predicting urban floods.Although the existing machine learning models can quickly predict the depth of stagnant water,these models only target single points and require large amounts of measured data,which are currently lacking.Although numerical models can accurately simulate and predict such events,it takes a long time to perform the associated calculations,especially two-dimensional large-scale calculations,which cannot meet the needs of emergency management.Therefore,this article proposes a method of coupling neural networks and numerical models that can simulate and identify areas at high risk from urban floods and quickly predict the depth of water accumulation in these areas.Taking a drainage area in Tianjin Municipality,China,as an example,the results show that the simulation accuracy of this method is high,the Nash coefficient is 0.876,and the calculation time is 20 seconds.This method can quickly and accurately simulate the depth of water accumulation in high-risk areas in cities and provide technical support for urban flood emergency management.Xingyu Yan Kui Xu Wenqiang Feng Jing Chen 2021International Journal of Disaster Risk Science2021,12,6:1
