| 2 | Biofunctional magnesium coated Ti6Al4V scaffold enhances osteogenesis and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo for orthopedic application显示文摘The insufficient osteogenesis and osseointegration of porous titanium based scaffold limit its further application.Early angiogenesis is important for scaffold survival.It is necessary to develop a multifunctional surface on titanium scaffold with both osteogenic and angiogenic properties.In this study,a biofunctional magnesium coating is deposited on porous Ti6Al4V scaffold.For osseointegration and osteogenesis analysis,in vitro studies reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V co-culture with MC3T3-E1 cells can improve cell proliferation,adhesion,extracellular matrix(ECM)mineralization and ALP activity compared with bare Ti6Al4V cocultivation.Additionally,MC3T3-E1 cells cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V show significantly higher osteogenesisrelated genes expression.In vivo studies including fluorochrome labeling,micro-computerized tomography and histological examination of magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold reveal that new bone regeneration is significantly increased in rabbits after implantation.For angiogenesis studies,magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V improve HUVECs proliferation,adhesion,tube formation,wound-healing and Transwell abilities.HUVECs cultured with magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V display significantly higher angiogenesis-related genes(HIF-1αand VEGF)expression.Microangiography analysis reveal that magnesium-coated Ti6Al4V scaffold can significantly enhance the blood vessel formation.This study enlarges the application scope of magnesium and provides an optional choice to the conventional porous Ti6Al4V scaffold with enhanced osteogenesis and angiogenesis for further orthopedic applications. | Peng Gao Bo Fan Xiaoming Yu Wenwen Liu Jie Wu Lei Shi Di Yang Lili Tan Peng Wan Yulin Hao Shujun Li Wentao Hou Ke Yang Xiaokang Li Zheng Guo | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,3: | 15 |
| 3 | MiR156 regulates anthocyanin biosynthesis through SPL targets and other microRNAs in poplar显示文摘Anthocyanins biosynthesized from the flavonoid pathway are types of pigments that are involved in the protection of poplar from biotic and abiotic stresses.Previous researchers studying anthocyanin-related transcription factors and structural genes in poplar have made significant discoveries.However,little is known about the regulatory role of microRNAs in anthocyanin biosynthesis in poplar.Here,we overexpressed miR156 in poplar to study the comprehensive effects of the miR156-SPL module on the biosynthesis of anthocyanins.Small RNA sequencing analysis revealed 228 microRNAs differentially expressed in transgenic poplar plants with dramatically increased miR156 levels.Furthermore,integrated microRNAomic and transcriptomic analysis suggested that two microRNAs,miR160h,and miR858,have the potential to affect anthocyanin accumulation in poplar by regulating auxin response factors and MYB transcription factors,respectively.Additionally,the accumulation of miR160h and miR858 displayed a positive correlation with miR156 levels,suggesting a possible interaction between the miR156-SPL module and these microRNAs in poplar.Last,metabolomics analysis revealed that the levels of anthocyanins,flavones,and flavonols were substantially elevated in transgenic poplar plants overexpressing miR156 compared with the wild type,whereas the total lignin content was reduced in the transgenic plants.Taken together,our results indicate that miR156 can fine tune the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway via multiple factors,including microRNAs,transcription factors,and the levels of structural genes,in poplar.This provides additional clues for understanding the complex regulatory network of anthocyanin biosynthesis in woody plants. | Yamei Wang Wenwen Liu Xinwei Wang Ruijuan Yang Zhenying Wu HanWang LeiWang Zhubing Hu Siyi Guo Hailing Zhang Jinxing Lin Chunxiang Fu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 9 |
| 4 | Genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis of Banna virus(genus Seadornavirus,family Reoviridae)isolated from Culicoides显示文摘In an investigation of blood-sucking insects and arboviruses, a virus(YN12243) was isolated from Culicoides samples collected in the Sino-Burmese border region of Yunnan Province, China. The virus caused cytopathic effect(CPE) in C6/36 cells and passaged stably. Polyacrylamide gel analysis showed that the genome of YN12243 was composed of 12 segments of double-stranded RNA(dsRNA), with a distribution pattern of 6-6. The nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the coding region(1.12 segments) were17,803 bp and 5,925 amino acids in length, respectively. The phylogenetic analysis of VP1 protein(RdRp) revealed that YN12243 belonged to genus Seadornavirus of family Reoviridae, and further analysis indicated that YN12243 belongs to the Banna virus(BAV) genotype A2. Additionally, YN12243 was located in the same evolutionary cluster as BAV strains isolated from different mosquito species, suggesting that the BAV isolated from Culicoides does not have species barriers. These results indicate that Culicoides can also be a vector for BAV. | 10 | Yielding behavior of triplex medium Mn steel alternated with cooling strategies altering martensite/ferrite interfacial feature显示文摘In this paper, we report the influence of cooling processes on the yielding behavior of a medium Mn steel(MMS) with triplex microstructure, i.e. austenite(γ), ferrite(α) and as-quenched martensite(α’). After the intercritical annealing(IA) at both 725℃ and 750℃, the steel was subjected to the two cooling processes, i.e. air cooling(AC) and water quenching(WQ). It exhibits the discontinuous yielding after the AC following the IA at 750℃ while the continuous yielding after the WQ. Compared with WQ process,both the dilatometry and the microstructural examinations show that the AC process leads to lower Ms temperature, larger retained austenite(RA) fraction and less martensite, the latter is always companied with geometry necessary dislocations(GNDs) generated near the α/α’ interfaces. Considering the complexity of nanosized tri-phases in this steel, the presence of martensite with key features in the resultant specimens was systematically examined by atom probe tomography(APT) on the samples prepared by the specific target lift-out method. The APT results directly revealed the C/Mn co-segregation at the α’/αinterfaces in the AC samples but not in WQ samples. The numerical simulation results further suggest that the segregation of C and Mn at the α’/α interfaces may be due to different mechanisms. We conclude that the yielding of triplex MMS is determined by both the quantity of GNDs generated near theα/α’ interfaces, which increases with martensite fraction, and the extent of their immobilization resulting from the interfacial segregation of solute atoms when the presence of martensite is sufficient. | 14 | Risk factors associated with hemorrhagic cystitis after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘Hemorrhagic cystitis(HC)is a common complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).The incidence is about 7%to 68%,and some patients have to suffer a long period of frequent,urgent,and painful urination,which brings great pain.This study aimed to analyze risk factors of HC and its effect on patient survival.We collected the medical records of 859 patients who underwent HSCT at our hospital between August 2016 and August 2020.Patients with and without HC were matched using propensity score matching at a 1:1 ratio based on sex,age,and diagnosis,and logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with HC.We used Kaplan–Meier curves to analyze the survival rates of patients in the HC and non-HC groups.We also analyzed the relationship between BK viral load and the occurrence of HC using receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)analysis.After propensity score matching,there were 131 patients each in the HC and non-HC groups.In the HC group,89 patients(67.9%)had mild HC(stage II°)and 43(32.1%)had severe HC(stage III–IV).The median interval between stem cell transplantation and HC development was 31(3–244)days.Univariate analysis indicated that donor age,hematopoietic stem cell source,HLA,acute graft-versus-host disease,busulfan,anti-thymocyte globulin(ATG),total body irradiation,cytomegalovirus(CMV)(urine),and BK polyomavirus(BKV)(urine)were significantly associated with HC.ATG,CMV(urine),and BKV(urine)were independent risk factors for HC based on the multivariate analysis.The Kaplan–Meier survival analysis showed no significant difference between the HC and non-HC groups(P=0.14).The 1-and 2-year survival rates in the HC group were 78.4%and 69.6%,respectively,and the corresponding rates in the non-HC group were 84.4%and 80.7%,respectively.ROC analysis indicated that a urine BKV load of 1×10^(7) copies/mL was able to stratify the risk of HC.In conclusion,when the BKV load is>1×10^(7),we needtobe aware of the potential for the development of HC. | Biao Shen Yueshen Ma Haixiao Zhang Mingyang Wang Jia Liu Jiaxin Cao Wenwen Guo Dan Feng Donglin Yang Rongli Zhang Xin Chen Qiaoling Ma Weihua Zhai Sizhou Feng Mingzhe Han Aiming Pang Erlie Jiang 无 | 2022 | Blood Science2022,4,2: | 2 |

| 18 | Identification of key taste components in Baccaurea ramiflora Lour.fruit using non-targeted metabolomics显示文摘Among the numerous fruit species of Baccaurea ramiflora Lour.,‘LR’(white flesh)and‘BR’(pink flesh)are two kinds of local strains with high edibility.In order to study the metabolic causes of taste differences,we performed the non-targeted metabonomics analysis of‘LR’and‘BR’using LC-MS/MS.541 metabolites were totally identified,and 45 kinds of metabolites(carbohydrates,fatty acids,flavonoids and terpenoids,etc.)were different between the two strains.The results indicate L-sorbose,D-(+)-glucose,citric acid,L-phenylalanine and oleamide,α-eleostearic acid were the main primary metabolites.The significant difference existed in pathways of unsaturated fatty acids between the studied two strains by pathway enrichment analysis.The results demonstrate that the different in composition,as well as the abundance of primary and secondary metabolites may be the potential causes of taste differences,which provides a new insight into the possible metabolic factors setting off the changing taste of B.ramiflora. | Jie Chen Fengnian Wu Huachen Wang Chunce Guo Wengen Zhang Peisi Luo Jing Zhou Wenwen Hao Guangyao Yang Jianjian Huang | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1: | 1 |
| 19 | Renewable isosorbide-derived poly(phosphoester) for simultaneously enhanced flame-retardancy and mechanical property of polylactide显示文摘Incorporating flame retardant fillers is the most efficient way to improve the fire resistance of polylactide(PLA).However,most flame retardant fillers result in deterioration of the mechanical property of PLA so far.Therefore,to create high-performance PLA materials combining excellent flame retardancy with superior mechanical properties remains highly attractive and challenging.In this study,a novel isosorbide-derived poly(phosphoester)(PIDI)was synthesized and used as a bio-based flame-retardant for PLA.The addition of PIDI showed a marginal effect on the change of the glass transition temperature of the PLA composites,but the crystallinity degree of the PLA composites was improved by the inclusion of PIDI.Benefitting from the improved crystallinity,the tensile strength,flexural strength,and impact strength of PLA composite containing 15 wt%PIDI was enhanced by19.4%,14.1%,and 36.9%,respectively,compared to the virgin PLA.With the addition of 20 wt%PIDI,the PLA composite showed an LOI value of 25.5%and a UL-94 V-0 rating in the vertical burning test.The flame retardant effect of PIDI was also demonstrated by a notable reduction(-46%)in the peak heat release rate(PHRR)of PLA composite containing 20 wt%PIDI.Such a renewable isosorbide-derived poly(phosphoester)is one of the promising candidates for PLA bio-composites with an outstanding balance between flame retardancy and intrinsic physical properties. | Xin Wang Haoxin Niu Wenwen Guo Lei Song Yuan Hu | 2021 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,4: | 1 |
