1Counteraction of ABA-Mediated Inhibition of Seed Germination and Seedling Establishment by ABA Signaling Terminator in Arabidopsis显示文摘Seed germination and seedling establishment are important for the reproductive success of plants,but seeds and seedlings typically encounter constantly changing environmental conditions.By inhibiting seed germination and post-germinative growth through the PYR1/PYL/RCAR ABA receptors and PP2C co-receptors,the phytohormone abscisic acid(ABA)prevents premature germination and seedling growth under unfavorable conditions.However,little is known about how the ABA-mediated inhibition of seed germination and seedling establishment is thwarted.Here,we report that ABA Signaling Terminator(ABT),a WD40 protein,efficiently switches off ABA signaling and is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment.ABT is induced by ABA in a PYR1/PYL/RCAR-PP2C-dependent manner.Overexpression of ABT promotes seed germination and seedling greening in the presence of ABA,whereas knockout of ABT has the opposite effect.We found that ABT interacts with the PYR1/PYL/RCAR and PP2C proteins,interferes with the interaction between PYR1/PYL4 and ABI1/ABI2,and hampers the inhibition of ABI1/ABI2 by ABA-bound PYR1/PYL4,thereby terminating ABA signaling.Taken together,our results reveal a core mechanism of ABA signaling termination that is critical for seed germination and seedling establishment in Arabidopsis.Zhijuan Wang Ziyin Ren Chunhong Cheng Tao Wang Hongtao Ji Yang Zhao Zhiping Deng Liya Zhi Jingjing Lu Xinying Wu Shimin Xu Mengmeng Cao Hongtao Zhao Liu Liu Jiankang Zhu Xia Li 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,9:10
2Influences of solid particles on the formation of the third phase crud during solvent extraction显示文摘The influences of solid particles in leach solution on the formation of the third phase crud during solvent extrac-tion of copper were studied. Analyzed from the point of view of pH value and surface tension, the study results showed that the solid particle is one of the most important contributors for the formation of the third phase crud. 3Wearable sensors for 3D upper limb motion modeling and ubiquitous estimation显示文摘Human motion capture technologies are widely used in interactive game and learning, animation, film special effects, health care, and navigation. Because of the agility, upper limb motion estimation is the most difficult problem in human motion capture. Traditional methods always assume that the movements of upper arm and forearm are independent and then estimate their movements separately; therefore, the estimated motion are always with serious distortion. In this paper, we propose a novel ubiquitous upper limb motion estimation method using wearable microsensors, which concentrates on modeling the relationship of the movements between upper arm and forearm. Exploration of the skeleton structure as a link structure with 5 degrees of freedom is firstly proposed to model human upper limb motion. After that, parameters are defined according to Denavit-Hartenberg convention, forward kinematic equations of upper limb are derived, and an unscented Kalman filter is invoked to estimate the defined parameters. 4NUMERICAL STUDY OF SQUARE-STERN SHIP WAVE IN SHALLOW WATER显示文摘This paper employed shallow water equations with moving pressure to calculate water waves generated by a square-stern ship in shallow water. The moving ship is considered as moving pressure on free surface. The finite element method with moving grids is used to solve the shallow water equations based on wave equation model [3]. A non-reflection boundary condition [5]is imposed on open boundaries surrounding the ship. 3-D surface elevations, depth-averaged horizontal velocities are presented. The numerical solutions are physically reasonable. It is found that wave resistance coefficients, draftchange and pitch angle vary rapidly in neighborhood of critical flow (Fh=u/ gh= 0. 9 -1. 1). The numerical results also indicate that the wave resistance coefficients, draft change and pitch angle of square-stern ship are larger than those of sharp-stern ship with the same hull structure at the same speed.Wu, Jiankang 1997Journal of Hydrodynamics1997,9,3:4
5Quantitative trait locus mapping with background control in genetic populations of clonal F_1 and double cross显示文摘In this study, we considered five categories of molecular markers in clonal F_1 and double cross populations,based on the number of distinguishable alleles and the number of distinguishable genotypes at the marker locus. Using the completed linkage maps, incomplete and missing markers were imputed as fully informative markers in order to simplify the linkage mapping approaches of quantitative trait genes. Under the condition of fully informative markers, we demonstrated that dominance effect between the female and male parents in clonal F_1 and double cross populations can cause the interactions between markers. We then developed an inclusive linear model that includes marker variables and marker interactions so as to completely control additive effects of the female and male parents, as well as the dominance effect between the female and male parents. The linear model was finally used for background control in inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM) of quantitative trait locus(QTL). The ef ficiency of ICIM was demonstrated by extensive simulations and by comparisons with simple interval mapping, multiple-QTL models and composite interval mapping. 7Exercise promotes angiogenesis by enhancing endothelial cell fatty acid utilization via liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p显示文摘Background:Angiogenesis constitutes a major mechanism responsible for exercise-induced beneficial effects.Our previous study identified a cluster of differentially expressed extracellular vesicle microRNAs(miRNAs)after exercise and found that some of them act as exerkines.However,whether these extracellular vesicle miRNAs mediate the exercise-induced angiogenesis remains unknown.Methods:A 9-day treadmill training was used as an exercise model in C57BL/6 mice.Liver-specific adeno-associated virus 8 was used to knock down microRNA-122-5p(miR-122-5p).Human umbilical vein endothelial cells were used in vitro.Results:Among these differentially expressed extracellular vesicle miRNAs,miR-122-5p was identified as a potent pro-angiogenic factor that activated vascular endothelial growth factor signaling and promoted angiogenesis both in vivo and in vitro.Exercise increased circulating levels of miR-122-5p,which was produced mainly by the liver and shuttled by extracellular vesicles in mice.Inhibition of circulating miR-122-5p or liver-specific knockdown of miR-122-5p significantly abolished the exercise-induced pro-angiogenic effect in skeletal muscles,and exerciseimproved muscle performance in mice.Mechanistically,miR-122-5p promoted angiogenesis through shifting substrate preference to fatty acids in endothelial cells,and miR-122-5p upregulated endothelial cell fatty-acid utilization by targeting 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase(AGPAT1).In addition,miR-122-5p increased capillary density in perilesional skin tissues and accelerated wound healing in mice.Conclusion:These findings demonstrated that exercise promotes angiogenesis through upregulation of liver-derived extracellular vesicle miR-122-5p,which enhances fatty acid utilization by targeting AGPAT1 in endothelial cells,highlighting the therapeutic potential of miR-122-5p in tissue repair.Jing Lou Jie Wu Mengya Feng Xue Dang Guiling Wu Hongyan Yang Yan Wang Jia Li Yong Zhao Changhong Shi Jiankang Liu Lin Zhao Xing Zhang Feng Gao 2022Journal of Sport and Health Science2022,11,4:4
8Body sensor networks for ubiquitous healthcare显示文摘Body sensor networks provide a platform for ubiquitous healthcare, driving the diagnosis in hospital static environment to the daily life dynamic context. We realized the importance of sensing of activities, which is not only a dimension of human health but also important context information for diagnosis based on the physiologic data. This paper presents our ubiquitous healthcare system, uCare. It consists of uCare devices and a server system. Currently, the uCare system is designed for cardiovascular disease (CVD) examination and management. The uCare device has been tested in a trial in Beijing Hospital. 9Comparison on the leaching kinetics of chalcocite and pyrite with or without bacteria显示文摘The acid leaching,ferric leaching,and bioleaching of chalcocite and pyrite minerals were conducted in two sets of 3L stirred reactors.The dissolution rates of copper and iron were correlated with leaching conditions.In the acid leaching process,the dissolution rate of chalcocite was around 40wt.% while that of pyrite was less than 4%.In the ferric leaching process with high ferric concentration,only 10 wt.% of iron in pyrite was leached out at the same retention time though the copper recovery over 60 wt.% in chalcocite.For the bioleaching process,the chalcocite leaching rate was highly increased,nearly 90 wt.% of copper was leached out,and the iron dissolution of pyrite exceeded 70 wt.%.For the two minerals,the bioleaching shows the highest leaching rate compared with the acid leaching or ferric leaching.In uncontrolled bioleaching process,pyrite could be dissolved effectively.The experimental data were fitted to the shrinking core and particle model.The results show that in all the leaching tests,the chalcocite leaching was mainly controlled by diffusion,while for the pyrite leaching,chemical reaction is the main rate-determining step.RUAN Renman ZHOU E LIU Xingyu WU Biao ZHOU Guiying WEN Jiankang 2010Rare Metals2010,29,6:3
10Mixed mode oscillations as well as the bifurcation mechanism in a Duffing’s oscillator with two external periodic excitations显示文摘The main purpose of the paper is to present an approach to account for the mechanism of bursting oscillations occurring in the systems with multiple periodic excitations. Since the traditional slow-fast analysis method can be used only for the systems with two scales in time domain, when there exists an order gap between the exciting frequencies and the natural frequency, how to explore the mechanism of the complicated dynamics remains an open problem, especially for the case when two exciting terms exist. To explain our approach, a relative simple Duffing’s oscillator with two external periodic excitations is introduced as an example. For the case when one exciting frequency is integer times of the other exciting frequency, by employing Moivre’s equation, the two exciting terms can be transformed into the functions of one basic periodic exciting term. Regarding the basic periodic exciting term as a slow-varying parameter, the two exciting terms can be changed into the functions of the slow-varying parameter, based on which the whole model can be transformed into a generalized autonomous system with one slow-varying parameter. Equilibrium branches as well as the related bifurcations of the generalized autonomous system can be derived with the variations of the amplitudes of the two excitations, which describes the relationship between the state variables of the generalized autonomous system and the slow-varying parameter. Considering the slow-varying parameter as a generalized state variable, one may obtain the so-called transformed phase portraits, which present the relationship between the state variable and the slowvarying parameter. The bifurcation mechanism of the mixed oscillations can be obtained by overlapping the equilibrium branches and the transformed phase portraits. Upon the approach, different types of bursting oscillations are presented. It is pointed that when the trajectory moves almost strictly along the segments of the stable equilibrium branches to the fold bifurcation points, jumping phenomena to other stable equilibrium segments can be observed, leading to the repetitive spiking oscillations, which can be approximated by the transient procedure from the bifurcation points to the stable equilibrium segments. Furthermore, because of the distributions of stable segments on the equilibrium branches of the generalized autonomous system may vary with the exciting amplitudes, the forms of bursting oscillations may change. For linear Gaussian Mixture (GM) system,PHD filter has a closed form recursion (GMPHD). But PHD filter cannot estimate the trajectories of multi-target because it only provides identity-free estimate of target states. Existing data association methods still remain a big challenge mostly because they are com-putationally expensive. 18A new method for particle manipulation by combination of dielectrophoresis and field-modulated electroosmotic vortex显示文摘A field-modulated electroosmotic flow(FMEOF) in a microchannel can be obtained by applying modulating electric fields in a direction perpendicular to the channel wall. Micro-vortexes are generated around the electrodes along with an EOF due to the surface charge on the modulated wall. When polarizable particles are suspended near the electrodes, they experience dielectrophoretic forces due to a non-uniform electric field. In this paper, micro-vortexes and dielectrophoretic forces are combined to achieve separation and trap different sized particles in a continuous flow. Numerical results indicate that by adjusting the driving electric field parallel to the channel wall and the modulating electric field, the ratio of dielectrophoretic and hydrodynamic forces can be altered.
