| 1 | Growth of Large-Area Single- and Bi-Layer Graphene by Controlled Carbon Precipitation on Polycrystalline Ni Surfaces显示文摘We report graphene films composed mostly of one or two layers of graphene grown by controlled carbon precipitation on the surface of polycrystalline Ni thin films during atmospheric chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Controlling both the methane concentration during CVD and the substrate cooling rate during graphene growth can signifi cantly improve the thickness uniformity.As a result,one-or two-layer graphene regions occupy up to 87%of the fi lm area.Single layer coverage accounts for 5%11%of the overall fi lm.These regions expand across multiple grain boundaries of the underlying polycrystalline Ni fi lm.The number density of sites with multilayer graphene/graphite(>2 layers)is reduced as the cooling rate decreases.These fi lms can also be transferred to other substrates and their sizes are only limited by the sizes of the Ni fi lm and the CVD chamber.Here,we demonstrate the formation of fi lms as large as 1 in^(2).These fi ndings represent an important step towards the fabrication of large-scale high-quality graphene samples. | Alfonso Reina Stefan Thiele Xiaoting Jia Sreekar Bhaviripudi Mildred S.Dresselhaus Juergen A.Schaefer Jing Kong | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,6: | 21 |

| 4 | Local inhibition of GABA affects precedence effect in the inferior colliculus显示文摘The precedence effect is a prerequisite for faithful sound localization in a complex auditory environment,and is a physiological phenomenon in which the auditory system selectively suppresses the directional information from echoes.Here we investigated how neurons in the inferior colliculus respond to the paired sounds that produce precedence-effect illusions,and whether their firing behavior can be modulated through inhibition with gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA).We recorded extracellularly from 36 neurons in rat inferior colliculus under three conditions: no injection,injection with saline,and injection with gamma-aminobutyric acid.The paired sounds that produced precedence effects were two identical 4-ms noise bursts,which were delivered contralaterally or ipsilaterally to the recording site.The normalized neural responses were measured as a function of different inter-stimulus delays and half-maximal interstimulus delays were acquired.Neuronal responses to the lagging sounds were weak when the inter-stimulus delay was short,but increased gradually as the delay was lengthened.Saline injection produced no changes in neural responses,but after local gamma-aminobutyric acid application,responses to the lagging stimulus were suppressed.Application of gamma-aminobutyric acid affected the normalized response to lagging sounds,independently of whether they or the paired sounds were contralateral or ipsilateral to the recording site.These observations suggest that local inhibition by gamma-aminobutyric acid in the rat inferior colliculus shapes the neural responses to lagging sounds,and modulates the precedence effect. | Yanjun Wang Ningyu Wang Dan Wang Jun Jia Jinfeng Liu Yan Xie Xiaohui Wen Xiaoting Li | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,4: | 4 |

| 8 | Triptolide-loaded microemulsion-based hydrogels: physical properties and percutaneous permeability显示文摘Triptolide is a diterpenoid compound that inhibits the inflammation of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).However,the use of triptolide is limited due to its strong gastrointestinal toxicity.The purpose of this work was to develop a transdermal delivery system for triptolide to reduce this toxicity.A microemulsion-based hydrogel(MBH)was prepared from the combination of Gemseal 40-oleic acid as oil phase,Tween 80-labrasol as surfactant,anhydrous ethanol as co-surfactant,water as aqueous phase and Poloxamer 407 as hydrogel matrix.Rheological measurements,environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and transdermal experiments in vitro were used to characterize triptolide-loaded and blank MBH preparations.The effects of Poloxamer 407 and triptolide on the rheological properties and microstructures of the MBH were determined.Transparent and homogeneous MBH could only be formed when the concentration of Poloxamer 407 in the selected O/W microemulsion was in the range of 14.0–16.0%(w/w).When the concentration of Poloxamer 407 increased,the rheological properties such as the yield stresses(sy),storage and loss moduli(G′,G″)of the formulations increased,and the network structures became more compact.The addition of triptolide did not change the interconnected network structures of the MBH preparations.MBH preparations afford a better sustained release profile when compared to microemulsions,a finding confirmed by an in vitro permeation test in mice.MBH appears to be a promising vehicle for transdermal delivery of triptolide. | Lihua Chen Xiaoting Zhao Jia Cai Yongmei Guan Sen Wang Hongning Liu Weifeng Zhu Junsong Li | 2013 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,3: | 1 |

| 10 | Accounting and Characteristics Analysis of CO_(2) Emissions in Chinese Cities显示文摘Accurate estimation of CO_(2) emissions is a prerequisite for scientific low-carbon emission policymaking.Based on 20 types of energy consumption data at the prefecture level in China,this paper re-estimates the CO_(2) emissions of 198 prefecture-level cities in 2016 by using the method of carbon emission coefficient.The spatial pattern and scale characteristics are analyzed,and the conclusions are as follows:(1)Overall,China’s urban CO_(2) emissions show a certain degree of spatial separation in terms of the total amount,per capita emissions,and emission intensity.Cities with the highest CO_(2) emissions in China are mainly concentrated in North China,East China and Chongqing,while cities with the highest per capita CO_(2) emissions and emission intensity are mainly concentrated in Northwest and North China.(2)Different types of cities have different CO_(2) emission characteristics.Resource-based cities have a higher total amount and emission intensity;tourism and underdeveloped cities both have lower values;while super-large-sized cities and many very-large-sized cities have higher CO_(2) emissions,but their emission intensities are usually lower;and no obvious rules are found in other cities.(3)Spatial analysis shows that cities with higher CO_(2) emissions are clustered.The Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region,the Yangtze River Delta region,Shandong Province,and Shanxi–Henan–Anhui resource-producing areas are the agglomeration areas of high-emission cities.(4)Scale analysis shows that the characteristics of CO_(2) emissions at different scales are different.Provincial-level research can help to identify the environmental impact and total effect of carbon emissions,while urban-scale research is helpful to explore the diversity and phases of cities.Finally,based on the main conclusions of this study,the corresponding urban low-carbon policy implications are drawn. | WANG Xingmin WU Jing WANG Zheng JIA Xiaoting BAI Bing | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies2020,8,1: | 1 |

Therefore, live cell imaging of increases in cytosolic calcium concentration in cellular compartments has been investigated intensively. Multiple calcium imaging systems are now available commercially, but when it comes to deciding which model to purchase, it is often hard to obtain enough information for an optimal setup. In this paper, a comparison was made among four fluorescent detection/imaging devices for the detection of cytosolic calcium oscillations induced in rat pancreatic acinar cells by cholecystokinin and in hepatocytes by phenylephrine. Detailed equipment setup, differences in data acquisition and analysis, and side effects of the excitation light on live cells were analyzed. | 13 | Invisible vapor catalysis in graphene growth by chemical vapor deposition显示文摘Vapor catalysis was recently found to play a crucial role in superclean graphene growth via chemical vapor decomposition(CVD).However,knowledge of vapor-phase catalysis is scarce,and several fundamental issues,including vapor compositions and their impact on graphene growth,are ambiguous.Here,by combining density functional theory(DFT)calculations,an ideal gas model,and a designed experiment,we found that the vapor was mainly composed of Cui clusters with tens of atoms.The vapor pressure was estimated to be~10^(-12)-10^(-1)1 bar under normal low-pressure CVD system(LPCVD)conditions for graphene growth,and the exposed surface area of Cui clusters in the vapor was 22-269 times that of the Cu substrate surface,highlighting the importance of vapor catalysis.DFT calculations show Cu clusters,represented by Cu17,have strong capabilities for adsorption,dehydrogenation,and decomposition of hydrocarbons.They exhibit an adsorption lifetime and reaction flux six orders of magnitude higher than those on the Cu surface,thus providing a sufficient supply of active C atoms for rapid graphene growth and improving the surface cleanliness of the synthesized graphene.Further experimental validation showed that increasing the amount of Cu vapor improved the as-synthesized graphene growth rate and surface cleanliness.This study provides a comprehensive understanding of vapor catalysis and the fundamental basis of vapor control for superclean graphene rapid growth. | Xiucai Sun Xiaoting Liu Zhongti Sun Xintong Zhang Yuzhu Wu Yeshu Zhu Yuqing Song Kaicheng Jia Jincan Zhang Luzhao Sun Wan-Jian Yin Zhongfan Liu | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0 |

| 16 | Prevalence and risk factors for minimal hepatic encephalopathy in cirrhotic patients with different etiologies显示文摘Aims:Minimal hepatic encephalopathy(MHE)significantly affects the prognosis of patients with cirrhosis.This study was performed to determine whether there is a difference in the prevalence of MHE among patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies and whether the etiology directly influences the occurrence of MHE.Methods:This multicenter,cross-sectional study enrolled 1879 patients with confirmed cirrhosis at 40 hospitals from October 25,2021,to January 10,2023(Trial registration:https://clinicaltrials.gov/[NCT05140837]).The patients'demographics,etiologies of cirrhosis,and laboratory test results were collected.The psychometric hepatic encephalopathy score(PHES)was determined in all patients to screen for MHE.Multivariate logistic analyses were performed to identify the risk factors for MHE.Results:In total,736 patients with cirrhosis were analyzed.The prevalence of MHE was 42.0%(n=309).The primary etiology among all patients was hepatitis B virus(HBV)-related cirrhosis(71.9%[529/736]).The prevalence of MHE was significantly higher in patients with alcoholic cirrhosis(57.1%[40/70])than in those with HBV-related cirrhosis(40.6%[215/529],p=0.009)or hepatitis C virus(HCV)-related cirrhosis(38.2%[26/68],p=0.026).Age(odds ratio[OR],1.042;95%confidence interval[CI],1.024-1.059;p<0.001),duration of education(OR,0.935;95%CI,0.899-0.971;p=0.001),etiology(OR,1.740;95%CI,1.028-2.945;p=0.039),and high MELD-Na scores(OR,1.038;95%CI,1.009-1.067;p=0.009)were independent risk factors for MHE.When patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies were analyzed separately,the results showed that age(OR,1.035;95%CI,1.014-1.057;p=0.001)and duration of education(OR,0.924;95%CI,0.883-0.966;p=0.001)were risk factors for MHE among patients with HBV-related cirrhosis,whereas age(OR,1.138;95%CI,1.033-1.254;p=0.009)and creatinine concentration(OR,16.487;95%CI,1.113-244.160;p=0.042)were risk factors for MHE in patients with HCV-related cirrhosis.No risk factors for MHE were found in patients with autoimmune cirrhosis.For patients with alcoholic cirrhosis,the platelet count(OR,1.014;95%CI,1.000-1.027;p=0.045)was a risk factor for MHE.The PHES subtest results were inconsistent among patients who had MHE with cirrhosis of different etiologies.Patients with HBV-related cirrhosis performed better on Number Connection Test B and the serial dotting test than those with alcoholic cirrhosis(p=0.007 and p<0.001),better on Number Connection Test B than those with HCV-related cirrhosis(p=0.020),and better on the line tracing test than those with autoimmune cirrhosis(p=0.037).Conclusion:The etiology of cirrhosis affected the prevalence of MHE and risk factors for MHE.The domains of major cognitive impairment varied among patients with cirrhosis of different etiologies.Further studies are required to verify these findings. | Xiaoyan Li Shanghao Liu Huiling Xiang Qingge Zhang Ying Guo Hongmei Zu Jing Wang Jiaojian Lv Xiaoning Zhang Fanping Meng Jiahuan Li Jie Li Yangzhen Bianba Jia Shang Guo Zhang Fei Liu Zhaowei Tong Chuang Lei Wei Ye Qiaohua Yang Ningning Wang Ying Song Wei Fu Ziyue Li Yanjing Gao Yongping Zhang Jiafang Chen Caiyun Wu Qi Zheng Fang Wang Jiali Yu Lianjie Lin Chuanlong Yang Xiaoting Yang Xiaomin Ye Xiangmei Wang Xuelan Zhao Xiaolong Qi Fusheng Wang Junliang Fu | 2023 | Portal Hypertension & Cirrhosis2023,2,4: | 0 |
| 17 | Variability of urban fractional vegetation cover and its driving factors in 328 cities in China显示文摘Urban green space promotes the health of urban residents,enhances urban ecosystem biodiversity,mitigates environmental pollution,and attenuates urban heat island effect.However,urban vegetation cover is highly heterogeneous and difficult to quantify.In this study,the variation of urban fractional vegetation cover(FVC)in 328 cities in China from 1990 to2022 was quantified based on Landsat satellite data at a 30-m resolution.It was found that from 1990 to 2005,due to increases in building density and impervious surfaces in cities,the national mean urban vegetation cover decreased from 0.38 to 0.35.After2005,urban vegetation cover began to reverse,reaching 0.45 in 2022.This increasing trend was most pronounced in newly built urban districts.The decrease in average urban vegetation cover before 2005 was mainly due to the expansion of low vegetation cover areas,while the increase in urban vegetation cover after 2005 manifested as the expansion of high vegetation cover areas.The reversal in the trend of urban vegetation cover change after 2004 is related to the gradual implementation of national policies requiring increased urban green space coverage.The urban gross domestic product(GDP)showed the highest correlation with changes in urban vegetation cover.For large and medium-sized cities,the top three factors influencing vegetation cover were GDP,urban population,and temperature.However,for cities in arid/semi-arid regions,changes in vegetation cover were more sensitive to climatic factors(such as precipitation).Although the urban vegetation cover in China has substantially increased in recent years,the urban green space in small-sized cities and in the old urban districts of large-sized cities still have room to improve. | Fei FENG Xin YANG Baoquan JIA Xiaoting LI Xianwen LI Chengyang XU Kaicun WANG | 2024 | Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2: | 0 |

| 19 | Laser Machined Fiber‑Based Microprobe: Application in Microscale Electroporation显示文摘Microscale electroporation devices are mostly restricted to in vitro experiments(i.e.,microchannel and microcapillary).Novel fiber-based microprobes enable in vivo microscale electroporation and arbitrarily select the cell groups of interest to electroporate.We developed a flexible,fiber-based microscale electroporation device through a thermal drawing process and femtosecond laser micromachining techniques.The fiber consists of four copper electrodes(80μm),one microfluidic channel(30μm),and has an overall diameter of 400μm.The dimensions of the exposed electrodes and channel were customizable through a delicate femtosecond laser setup.The feasibility of the fiber probe was validated through numerical simulations and in vitro experiments.Successful reversible and irreversible microscale electroporation was observed in a 3D collagen scaffold(seeded with U251 human glioma cells)using fluorescent staining.The ablation regions were estimated by performing the covariance error ellipse method and compared with the numerical simulations.The computational and experimental results of the working fiber-based microprobe suggest the feasibility of in vivo microscale electroporation in space-sensitive areas,such as the deep brain. | Jongwoon Kim Yajun Zhao Shuo Yang Ziang Feng Anbo Wang Rafael V.Davalos Xiaoting Jia | 2022 | Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,4: | 0 |
| 20 | MiRNA 24-3p-rich exosomes functionalized DEGMA-modified hyaluronic acid hydrogels for corneal epithelial healing显示文摘The damage of corneal epithelium may lead to the formation of irreversible corneal opacities and even blindness.The migration rate of corneal epithelial cells directly affects corneal repair.Here,we explored ocu-microRNA 24-3p(miRNA 24-3p)that can promote rabbit corneal epithelial cells migration and cornea repair.Exosomes,an excellent transport carrier,were exacted from adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells for loading with miRNA 24-3p to prepare miRNA 24-3p-rich exosomes(Exos-miRNA 24-3p).It can accelerate corneal epithelial migration in vitro and in vivo.For application in cornea alkali burns,we further modified hyaluronic acid with di(ethylene glycol)monomethyl ether methacrylate(DEGMA)to obtain a thermosensitive hydrogel,also reported a thermosensitive DEGMA-modified hyaluronic acid hydrogel(THH)for the controlled release of Exos-miRNA 24-3p.It formed a highly uniform and clear thin layer on the ocular surface to resist clearance from blinking and extended the drug-ocular-epithelium contact time.The use of THH-3/Exos-miRNA 24-3p for 28 days after alkali burn injury accelerated corneal epithelial defect healing and epithelial maturation.It also reduced corneal stromal fibrosis and macrophage activation.MiRNA 24-3p-rich exosomes functionalized DEGMA-modified hyaluronic acid hydrogel as a multilevel delivery strategy has a potential use for cell-free therapy of corneal epithelial regeneration. | Xiaomin Sun Wenjing Song Lijing Teng Yongrui Huang Jia Liu Yuehai Peng Xiaoting Lu Jin Yuan Xuan Zhao Qi Zhao Yingni Xu Jingjie Shen Xiaoyun Peng Li Ren | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,7: | 0 |
