| 1 | On the origin and continuing evolution of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘The SARS-Co V-2 epidemic started in late December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and has since impacted a large portion of China and raised major global concern. Herein, we investigated the extent of molecular divergence between SARS-CoV-2 and other related coronaviruses. Although we found only 4% variability in genomic nucleotides between SARS-CoV-2 and a bat SARS-related coronavirus(SARSr-CoV;Ra TG13), the difference at neutral sites was 17%, suggesting the divergence between the two viruses is much larger than previously estimated. Our results suggest that the development of new variations in functional sites in the receptor-binding domain(RBD) of the spike seen in SARS-Co V-2 and viruses from pangolin SARSr-Co Vs are likely caused by natural selection besides recombination. Population genetic analyses of 103 SARS-CoV-2 genomes indicated that these viruses had two major lineages(designated L and S), that are well defined by two different SNPs that show nearly complete linkage across the viral strains sequenced to date. We found that L lineage was more prevalent than the S lineage within the limited patient samples we examined. | 2 | Estimation of biomass in wheat using random forest regression algorithm and remote sensing data显示文摘Wheat biomass can be estimated using appropriate spectral vegetation indices.However,the accuracy of estimation should be further improved for on-farm crop management.Previous studies focused on developing vegetation indices,however limited research exists on modeling algorithms.The emerging Random Forest(RF) machine-learning algorithm is regarded as one of the most precise prediction methods for regression modeling.The objectives of this study were to(1) investigate the applicability of the RF regression algorithm for remotely estimating wheat biomass,(2) test the performance of the RF regression model,and(3) compare the performance of the RF algorithm with support vector regression(SVR) and artificial neural network(ANN) machine-learning algorithms for wheat biomass estimation.Single HJ-CCD images of wheat from test sites in Jiangsu province were obtained during the jointing,booting,and anthesis stages of growth.Fifteen vegetation indices were calculated based on these images.In-situ wheat above-ground dry biomass was measured during the HJ-CCD data acquisition.The results showed that the RF model produced more accurate estimates of wheat biomass than the SVR and ANN models at each stage,and its robustness is as good as SVR but better than ANN.The RF algorithm provides a useful exploratory and predictive tool for estimating wheat biomass on a large scale in Southern China. | Li'ai Wang Xudong Zhou Xinkai Zhu Zhaodi Dong Wenshan Guo | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,3: | 30 |
| 3 | Pokemon reduces Bcl-2 expression through NF-κ Bp65:a possible mechanism of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To investigate the relationship among Pokemon,NF-κB p65 and Bcl-2 in hepatoma cells.Methods:HCC cell HepG2,SMMC7721 and human fetal liver cell line L02 cells were used,and expression of Pokemon,NF-κB p65 and Bcl-2 in three cells were detected by realtime PCR and western blot.Then siRNA of Pokemon was applied to inhibit the expression of Pokemon and NF-κB p65 and apoptotic rate was determined by flow cytometric analysis. | 5 | Effects of anaerobic composting on tetracycline degradation in swine manure显示文摘Oxytetracycline(OTC) and tetracycline(TC) are the most common TC antibiotics used in human and veterinary medicine.Residual amounts of these antibiotics in manure pose a potential threat to public and ecological health as a result of the potential for them to be released to the environment following land application of manure from animals treated with antibiotics.We investigated the degradation of OTC and TC during anaerobic composting.We tested the effects of temperature and antibiotic concentration on degradation rates in a control and in manure spiked with TCs.We examined changes in p H,biological degradation material(BDM),and moisture corresponding with antibiotic degradation of TCs in the swine manure.Results showed that the OTC and TC concentrations decreased by between 68.54% and 95.50% in all nine treatments following 14 days of anaerobic composting,and the highest removal ef ficiencies were observed at an incubation temperature of 55°C and initial concentrations of 10.36 μg·g^(-1),and 5.96 μg·g^(-1) of OTC and TC,respectively,which were degraded by 95.50%,and 90.06%.During composting at 55 °C and at added concentrations of 5 μg·g^(-1),OTC decreased rapidly,and the time required for50% and 90% degradation was 4.1 and 9.8 days,respectively;for TC,these values were 4.4 and 14.0 days,respectively.Removal ef ficiencies for all TCs correlated well with moisture content of the manure.These results show that composting may be a practical and useful means to reduce concentrations of OTC and TC in swine manure prior to its land application. | Yixuan Chu Chengran Fang Hua Wang Xinkai Wu Yijie Gu Ji Shu | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,10: | 6 |
| 6 | Finite-time command filtered adaptive control for nonlinear systems via immersion and invariance显示文摘This paper investigates the problem of finite-time adaptive output tracking control for strictfeedback nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainties. Command signals and their derivatives are generated by a new command filter based on a second-order finite-time differentiator, which attenuates the chattering phenomenon. The parameter estimations are achieved by an immersion and invariance approach without requiring the certainty equivalence principle. The finite-time adaptive controller is constructed via a backstepping design method, a finite-time command filter, and a modified fractional-order error compensation mechanism. The proposed control strategy guarantees the finite-time boundedness of all signals in the closed-loop system, and the tracking error is driven into an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the origin in finite time. | 15 | Multi-omics analysis reveals gut microbiota-induced intramuscular fatdeposition via regulating expression of lipogenesis-associated genes显示文摘The gut microbiome has great effects on the digestion, absorption, and metabolism of lipids. However,the microbiota composition that can alter the fat deposition and the meat quality of pigs remains unclear.Here, we used Laiwu (LW) pigs (a native Chinese breed with higher intramuscular fat) compared withcommercial crossbreed Duroc×(Landrace×Yorkshire) (DLY) pigs to investigate the effects of microbiotaon meat quality, especially in intramuscular fat content. A total of 32 DLY piglets were randomly allottedto 4 groups and transplanted with fecal microbiota from healthy LW pigs. The results indicated that thehigh dose of fecal microbiota transplantation (HFMT) selectively enhanced fat deposition in longissimusdorsi (P < 0.05) but decreased backfat thickness (P < 0.05) compared with control group. HFMT significantlyaltered meat color and increased feed conversation ratio (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the multi-omicsanalysis revealed that Bacteroides uniformis, Sphaerochaeta globosa, Hydrogenoanaerobacterium saccharovorans,and Pyramidobacter piscolens are the core species which can regulate lipid deposition. A total of140 male SPF C57BL/6j mice were randomly allotted into 7 groups and administrated with these 4 microbesalone or consortium to validate the relationships between microbiota and lipid deposition.Inoculating the bacterial consortium into mice increased intramuscular fat content (P < 0.05) comparedwith control mice. Increased expressions of lipogenesis-associated genes including cluster of differentiation36 (Cd36), diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2 (Dgat2), and fatty acid synthase (FASN) wereobserved in skeletal muscle in the mice with mixed bacteria compared with control mice.
