1Metal nanoparticles induced photocatalysis显示文摘Photocatalysis induced by light absorption of metal nanoparticles(NPs) has emerged as a promising strategy for exploiting efficient visible-light-responsive composites for solar-energy conversion. In this review, we first introduce the light absorption of metal NPs and the mechanisms proposed in metal-induced photocatalysis(MIP). Then, its applications in water splitting, artificial photosynthesis and inert molecular activation are summarized. To address the challenge of low efficiency in this field, strategies in promoting catalytic activity are reviewed, and particular attention is paid to the particle-size effect of metal. 2Structural Engineering of Hierarchical Aerogels Comprised of Multi-dimensional Gradient Carbon Nanoarchitectures for Highly Efficient Microwave Absorption显示文摘Recently,multilevel structural carbon aerogels are deemed as attractive candidates for microwave absorbing materials.Nevertheless,excessive stack and agglomeration for low-dimension carbon nanomaterials inducing impedance mismatch are significant challenges.Herein,the delicate“3D helix-2D sheet-1D fiber-0D dot”hierarchical aerogels have been successfully synthesized,for the first time,by sequential processes of hydrothermal self-assembly and in-situ chemical vapor deposition method.Particularly,the graphene sheets are uniformly intercalated by 3D helical carbon nanocoils,which give a feasible solution to the mentioned problem and endows the as-obtained aerogel with abundant porous structures and better dielectric properties.Moreover,by adjusting the content of 0D core-shell structured particles and the parameters for growth of the 1D carbon nanofibers,tunable electromagnetic properties and excellent impedance matching are achieved,which plays a vital role in the microwave absorption performance.As expected,the optimized aerogels harvest excellent performance,including broad effective bandwidth and strong reflection loss at low filling ratio and thin thickness.This work gives valuable guidance and inspiration for the design of hierarchical materials comprised of dimensional gradient structures,which holds great application potential for electromagnetic wave attenuation.Yongpeng Zhao Xueqing Zuo Yuan Guo Hui Huang Hao Zhang Ting Wang Ningxuan Wen Huan Chen Tianze Cong Javid Muhammad Xuan Yang Xinnan Wang Zeng Fan Lujun Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,9:5
3Physical Growth of Children in Urban,Suburban and Rural China's Mainland:A Study of 20 Years' Change显示文摘Objective To describe secular trends on physical growth of children in China during the year of 1985‐2005 and to analyze the urban‐suburban‐rural difference and its change. Methods The measurements of height, weight and chest circumference obtained from two serial national cross‐sectional surveys for children aged 0 to 7 years in China were used to analyze the secular trends, and the growth differences among urban, suburban and rural children were compared. Results The average weight and height for both boys and girls from urban, suburban and rural areas have significantly increased in most age groups during the past 20 years; The average chest circumference increased slightly, ranging from 0.0 to 2.0 cm. From 1985 to 2005, the urban‐suburban difference in height had become smaller, and that in weight showed similar trend for children under 3 years old but became larger after 3 years old; the suburban‐rural difference both in height and weight became larger after 6 months old. The increment per decade in height was the greatest in the suburban group while the greatest increment in weight was the urban group. 5Radiation-hardened property of single-walled carbon nanotube film-based field-effect transistors under low-energy proton irradiation显示文摘Strong C-C bonds,nanoscale cross-section and low atomic number make single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)a potential candidate material for integrated circuits(ICs)applied in outer space.However,very little work combines the simulation calculations with the electrical measurements of SWCNT field-effect transistors(FETs),which limits further understanding on the mechanisms of radiation effects.Here,SWCNT film-based FETs were fabricated to explore the total ionizing dose(TID)and displacement damage effect on the electrical performance under low-energy proton irradiation with different fluences up to 1×1015 p/cm2.Large negative shift of the threshold voltage and obvious decrease of the on-state current verified the TID effect caused in the oxide layer.The stability of the subthreshold swing and the off-state current reveals that the displacement damage caused in the CNT layer is not serious,which proves that the CNT film is radiation-hardened.Specially,according to the simulation,we found the displacement damage caused by protons is different in the source/drain contact area and channel area,leading to varying degrees of change for the contact resistance and sheet resistance.Having analyzed the simulation results and electrical measurements,we explained the low-energy proton irradiation mechanism of the CNT FETs,which is essential for the construction of radiation-hardened CNT film-based ICs for aircrafts.Xiaorui Zhang Huiping Zhu Song’ang Peng Guodong Xiong Chaoyi Zhu Xinnan Huang Shurui Cao Junjun Zhang Yunpeng Yan Yao Yao Dayong Zhang Jingyuan Shi Lei Wang Bo Li Zhi Jin 2021Journal of Semiconductors2021,42,11:2

10Surface promotion of copper nanoparticles with alumina clusters derived from layered double hydroxide accelerates CO_(2)reduction to ethylene in membrane electrode assemblies显示文摘Electrochemical CO_(2)reduction has the vast potential to neutralize CO_(2)emission and valorizes this greenhouse gas into chemicals and fuels under mild conditions.Its commercial realization hinges on catalyst innovation as well as device engineering for enabling reactions at industrially relevant conditions.Copper has been widely examined for the selective production of multicarbon chemicals particularly ethylene,while there is still a substantial gap between the expected and the attainable.In this work,we report that the surface promotion of copper with alumina clusters is a viable strategy to enhance its electrocatalytic performance.AlOx-promoted Cu catalyst is derived from Cu-Al layered double hydroxide nanosheets after alkali etching and cathodic conversion.It can catalyze CO_(2)to ethylene and multicarbon products with great selectivity and stability far superior to pristine copper in both an H-cell and a zero-gap membrane electrode assembly(MEA)electrolyzer.The surface promotion effect is understood via computational simulations showing that alumina clusters can stabilize key reaction intermediates(*COOH and*OCCOH)along the reaction pathway.Jie Zhang Xinnan Mao Binbin Pan Jie Xu Xue Ding Na Han Lu Wang Yuhang Wang Yanguang Li 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:1
11A new method to prepare calcium oxalate films for marble protection显示文摘Artificial calcium oxalate films have been applied to protect sculptures,monuments,and buildings made of marble due to their potential protective capacities.Unfortunately,artificially prepared calcium oxalate films are usually loose,and easy to peel off in contrast to the natural ones.In this paper,a new method was developed for the preparation of a compact and cohesive calcium oxalate film,using ethylene glycol as an additive.The morphology,elemental composition,structure,and crystal phase of the film were analyzed by SEM,EDX,IR,and XRD,and the protective effects were investigated by acid resistance test,while its adhesion to the underlying marble by the Scotch tape test.The porosity,water absorption,and color of treated marble were also assessed.The results showed that a calcium oxalate film with a compact structure,good adhesion,and a protective effect against acid rain can be successfully obtained by including ethylene glycol as an additive.With the new preparation method,a better bond between the stone and the film is obtained which contributes to solving the spalling problem of the artificial calcium oxalate films.HE Lu JIANG YiJie MA WenTing LIU Yan YANG FuWei LU RuiCong WANG Lu ZHANG Kun CHEN XinNan GAO Xiang 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,8:0
12Relationship between office workers’staying and workstation attributes in a non-territorial office using ultra wide band sensor network显示文摘This paper investigates the staying and moving characteristics of office workers in a non-territorial office using an ultra wide band(UWB)impulse radio sensor network.The differences between office workers’staying and moving are clarified according to the individual workstation type that they select.The study determines the characteristics of each type of workstation.By clarifying office workers’preference for staying and moving with regard to individual workstation types and office worker post,the reasons why office workers in different posts tended to select different types of workstations were revealed.Specifically,leaders tended to select workstations at the“inner meeting corner side”most frequently,as they had a greater need to stay in other areas.In contrast,ordinary staff needed to visit office workers in other areas less often,and as such,they tended to select individual workstations at the“middle meeting corner side.”Barring this,they tended to select individual workstations at the“middle corridor side”or“outer-meeting corner side.”Temporary staff members had little need to visit or stay at other places so they tended to select individual workstations at the“window side,”which is seldom visited or stayed at by other office workers and they could be disturbed less often from their solo work.Xinnan ZHANG Takashi IZATO Junzo MUNENOTO Daisuke MATSUSHITA Tetsu YOSHIDA 2010Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2010,4,4:0
13Model of NBTI combined with mobility degradation显示文摘The mobility degradation induced by negative bias temperature instability(NBTI) is usually ignored in traditional NBTI modeling and simulation, resulting in overestimation of the circuit lifetime, especially after longterm operation. In this paper, the mobility degradation is modeled in combination with the universal NBTI model.The coulomb scattering induced by interface states is revealed to be the dominant component responsible for mobility degradation. 14Application of Chinese Herbal Medicine in the Inhibition of Salmonella and its virulence显示文摘Salmonellosis poses a serious challenge to public health and poultry industries worldwide.With the emergence of multi-drug resistant Salmonella,the burden caused by Salmonella infections has increased steadily.Enhancing the understanding of the Salmonella infection process may aid the development of new treatments and effective preventive strategies against the disease.This review outlined the Salmonella infection process and introduced the pathogenesis of Salmonella and its virulence factors,such as Type III Secretion Systems effectors.The author summarized the recent advances in the application of Chinese herbal medicine(CHM)in the inhibition of drug-resistant Salmonella and its virulence and discussed the possible mechanisms of CHM inhibiting Salmonella growth and affecting its virulence.CHM has been shown to be effective in inhibiting bacterial growth and alter the virulence properties of pathogens.It is shown that CHM is much less likely to produce drug resistance to bacteria comparing to conventional antibiotics.One reason for this is that CHM may enhance host immunity to control the bacterial infection indirectly whereas conventional antibiotics directly kill the bacteria or inhibit their growth.At present,the percentage of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella isolates is increasing globally.CHM shows great potential for the development of new medicines.It may be an alternative solution to preventing and treating Salmonellosis caused by antibiotic-resistant strains.Further studies on the molecular mechanisms of the active ingredients of CHM may help the future development of novel antibacterial drug designs to contain bacterial infections.Xinnan Meng Wangmin Hu Yulei Yang Shanshan Jia Ying Wen Mei Zhang 2021TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2021,4,4:0

17Management of triplet excitons transition:fine regulation of Förster and dexter energy transfer simultaneously显示文摘Understanding and management of triplet excitons transition in the same molecule remain a great challenge.Hence,for the first time,by host engineering,manageable transitions of triplet excitons in a naphthalimide derivative NDOH were achieved,and monitored through the intensity ratio(ITADF/IRTP)between thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)and room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP).Energy differences between lowest triplet excited states of host and guest were changed from 0.03 to 0.17 eV,and ITADF/IRTP of NDOH decreased by 200 times,thus red shifting the afterglow color.It was proposed that shorter conjugation length led to larger band gaps of host materials,thus contributing to efficient Dexter and inefficient Förster energy transfer.Interestingly,no transition to singlet state and only strongest RTP with quantum yield of 13.9%could be observed,when PBNC with loosest stacking and largest band gap acted as host.This work provides novel insight for the management and prediction of triplet exciton transitions and the development of smart afterglow materials.Jiaqiang Wang Yujie Yang Xinnan Sun Xiaoning Li Liyao Zhang Zhen Li 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,2:0
