| 1 | Calcium dobesilate for diabetic retinopathy: a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Many randomized clinical controlled trials have confirmed the efficacy and safety of calcium dobesilate in treating diabetic retinopathy(DR).This systematic review critically evaluated the evidence that links calcium dobesilate to DR.In this fixed-effects meta-analysis,a total of 221 pertinent English-language articles published between January 1975 and October 2013 were identified.Systematic searches of PUBMED,Springer Link and the Cochrane Clinical Trials Database were conducted using the keywords 'diabetic retinopathy' and 'calcium dobesilate'.The extracted information included the study design,inclusion and exclusion criteria,setting,sample size,participant mean age,treatment regime,mean change in best corrected visual acuity,laboratory parameters,capillary fragility,intraocular pressure and fundus manifestations based on the findings of fluorescent angiography.The summary statistics indicated that calcium dobesilate was significantly associated with improving retinal microaneurysms(RR: 0.62,95%CI: 0.42?0.90,P=0.01),retinalhemorrhages(RR: 0.39,95% CI: 0.17?0.88,P=0.02); exudates(RR: 0.31,95% CI: 0.12?0.81,P=0.02),reduction of whole blood viscosity(MD: ?0.57 CP,95% CI: ?0.75 to ?0.38,P<0.001),plasma viscosity(MD: ?0.36 CP,95% CI: ?0.63 to ?0.09,P=0.01) and blood cholesterol(MD: ?0.48 mg m L?1,95% CI: ?0.64?0.33,P<0.00001).Intraocular pressure was also significantly reduced(MD: ?5.59 mm Hg,95% CI: ?6.69 to ?4.50,P<0.00001).The results indicate that calcium dobesilate effectively treats DR at the systematic and local ocular levels. | ZHANG XinYuan LIU Wei WU ShanShan JIN JingLong LI WeiHong Wang NingLi | 2015 | Science China(Life Sciences)2015,58,1: | 54 |

| 3 | Microstructural evolution and stress state related to mechanical properties of electron beam melted Ti-6Al-4V alloy modified by laser shock peening显示文摘This work characterizes microstructural evolutions of electron beam melted(EBM) Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy modified via laser shock peening(LSP).The depth stress distribution and tensile properties of EBM Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy were measured before and after LSP.The results indicate that microstructure consists of β phase with 7.2%±0.4% vol.% and balance α lamellar in EBM sample,and the α lamella was refined into nano-equiaxed grains and submicro-equiaxed grains after LSP.The dominant refinement mechanism is revealed during LSP.Stacking faults were found in the LSP-treated sample,and their corresponding planes were determined as(0001) basal plane,(1010) prismatic plane,and(1011) pyramidal plane obtained by high resolution transmission electron microscopy.The subgrains and high-angle grains formed during dynamic recrystallization were identified by selected area electron diffraction pattern.The LSP treatment produces a significantly residual compressive stress approximately-380 MPa with the depth of compressive stress layer reaching 450 μm.Strength and elongation of the EBM sample were significantly increased after LSP.The strength and ductility enhancements are attributed to compre s sive stress,grain refinement and grain gradient distribution of α phase. | Liang Lan Xinyuan Jin Shuang Gao Bo He Yonghua Rong | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15: | 11 |

| 7 | Inflammation-induced inhibition of chaperone-mediated autophagy maintains the immunosuppressive function of murine mesenchymal stromal cells显示文摘Macroautophagy has been implicated in modulating the therapeutic function of mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs).However,the biological function of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA)in MSCs remains elusive.Here,we found that CMA was inhibited in MSCs in response to the proinflammatory cytokines interferon-γ(IFN-γ)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).In addition,suppression of CMA by knocking down the CMA-related lysosomal receptor lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2(LAMP-2A)in MSCs significantly enhanced the immunosuppressive effect of MSCs on T cell proliferation,and as expected,LAMP-2A overexpression in MSCs exerted the opposite effect on T cell proliferation.This effect of CMA on the immunosuppressive function of MSCs was attributed to its negative regulation of the expression of chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 10(CXCL10),which recruits inflammatory cells,especially T cells,to MSCs,and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),which leads to the subsequent inhibition of T cell proliferation via nitric oxide(NO).Mechanistically,CMA inhibition dramatically promoted IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced activation of NF-κB and STAT1,leading to the enhanced expression of CXCL10 and iNOS in MSCs.Furthermore,we found that IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced AKT activation contributed to CMA inhibition in MSCs.More interestingly,CMA-deficient MSCs exhibited improved therapeutic efficacy in inflammatory liver injury.Taken together,our findings established CMA inhibition as a critical contributor to the immunosuppressive function of MSCs induced by inflammatory cytokines nd highlighted a previously unknown function of CMA. | Jie Zhang Jiefang Huang Yuting Gu Mingxing Xue Fengtao Qian Bei Wang Wanlin Yang Hongshuang Yu Qiwei Wang Xin Guo Xinyuan Ding Jina Wang Min Jin Yanyun Zhang | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,6: | 3 |
| 8 | Spatial Distribution of Archaeological Sites in Lakeshore of Chaohu Lake in China Based on GIS显示文摘There are about 19 Neolithic Age sites and 120 Shang-Zhou dynasties sites in the western lakeshore of Chaohu Lake,Anhui Province,China.Based on sites data,topographic data,drainage maps,administrative maps and SPOT5 remote sensing data,spatial analysis methods were introduced into the archaeology of Chaohu Lake Basin with Geographic Information System(GIS).The spatial analysis methods include:1) Point Density Analysis with density model to acquire the shift of the sites;2) Distance Analysis to reveal the spatial structure of the sites;3) 3D Analysis based on Digital Elevation Model to get micro-geomorphologic features of the sites;and 4) Buffer Analysis to discover the relationship between the sites and rivers.The results indicate that the archaeological sites spread from the western lakeshore of Chaohu Lake gradually to the northwest,later to the south,and then symmetrically spread.Controlled by productive forces and other factors,ancient people preferred to reside in those places near water,or in plain and fertile land,which resulted in linear and decentralized distribution of the sites,and presented such disciplines as river valley directivity,terrace directivity and soil directivity.This paper indicates that the distribution of archaeological sites was influenced earlier by natural elements and later by human elements in the study period.The research is important for the integration of GIS and archaeology. | GAO Chao WANG Xinyuan JIANG Tong JIN Gaojie | 2009 | Chinese Geographical Science2009,19,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Oxidative stress-triggered Wnt signaling perturbation characterizes the tipping point of lung adeno-to-squamous transdifferentiation显示文摘Lkb1 deficiency confers the Kras-mutant lung cancer with strong plasticity and the potential for adeno-to-squamous transdifferentiation(AST).However,it remains largely unknown how Lkb1 deficiency dynamically regulates AST.Using the classical AST mouse model(Kras LSL-G12D/+;Lkb1flox/flox,KL),we here comprehensively analyze the temporal transcriptomic dynamics of lung tumors at different stages by dynamic network biomarker(DNB)and identify the tipping point at which the Wnt signaling is abruptly suppressed by the excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)through its downstream effector FOXO3A.Bidirectional genetic perturbation of the Wnt pathway using two different Ctnnb1 conditional knockout mouse strains confirms its essential role in the negative regulation of AST.Importantly,pharmacological activation of the Wnt pathway before but not after the tipping point inhibits squamous transdifferentiation,highlighting the irreversibility of AST after crossing the tipping point.Through comparative transcriptomic analyses of mouse and human tumors,we find that the lineage-specific transcription factors(TFs)of adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma form a“Yin-Yang”counteracting network.Interestingly,inactivation of the Wnt pathway preferentially suppresses the adenomatous lineage TF network and thus disrupts the“Yin-Yang”homeostasis to lean towards the squamous lineage,whereas ectopic expression of NKX2-1,an adenomatous lineage TF,significantly dampens such phenotypic transition accelerated by the Wnt pathway inactivation.The negative correlation between the Wnt pathway and AST is further observed in a large cohort of human lung adenosquamous carcinoma.Collectively,our study identifies the tipping point of AST and highlights an essential role of the ROS-Wnt axis in dynamically orchestrating the homeostasis between adeno-and squamous-specific TF networks at the AST tipping point. | Zhaoyuan Fang Xiangkun Han Yueqing Chen Xinyuan Tong Yun Xue Shun Yao Shijie Tang Yunjian Pan Yihua Sun Xue Wang Yujuan Jin Haiquan Chen Liang Hu Lijian Hui Lin Li Luonan Chen Hongbin Ji | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2: | 0 |

| 17 | DDUC:an erasure-coded system with decoupled data updating and coding显示文摘In distributed storage systems,replication and erasure code(EC)are common methods for data redundancy.Compared with replication,EC has better storage efficiency,but suffers higher overhead in update.Moreover,consistency and reliability problems caused by concurrent updates bring new challenges to applications of EC.Many works focus on optimizing the EC solution,including algorithm optimization,novel data update method,and so on,but lack the solutions for consistency and reliability problems.In this paper,we introduce a storage system that decouples data updating and EC encoding,namely,decoupled data updating and coding(DDUC),and propose a data placement policy that combines replication and parity blocks.For the(N,M)EC system,the data are placed as N groups of M+1 replicas,and redundant data blocks of the same stripe are placed in the parity nodes,so that the parity nodes can autonomously perform local EC encoding.Based on the above policy,a two-phase data update method is implemented in which data are updated in replica mode in phase 1,and the EC encoding is done independently by parity nodes in phase 2.This solves the problem of data reliability degradation caused by concurrent updates while ensuring high concurrency performance.It also uses persistent memory(PMem)hardware features of the byte addressing and eight-byte atomic write to implement a lightweight logging mechanism that improves performance while ensuring data consistency.Experimental results show that the concurrent access performance of the proposed storage system is 1.70–3.73 times that of the state-of-the-art storage system Ceph,and the latency is only 3.4%–5.9%that of Ceph. | Yaofeng TU Rong XIAO Yinjun HAN Zhenghua CHEN Hao JIN Xuecheng QI Xinyuan SUN | 2023 | Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,5: | 0 |

Lunnan heave and its circumference areas are located on the direction of petroleum migration, and experienced three reservoir formation cycles that are divided by wave cycle: The first reservoir formation cycle is characterized by breakage, the second by alteration, and the third by enrichment. Three layers of dissolving-cave developed on the vertical in Lunnan area. Development degree of slit-cave system and their connectivity are important factors to control petroleum enrichment in the weathering crust reservoir. The area where dissolving-caves are communicated by silts and faults was a fine petroleum enrichment area, and water was often encountered in the area with isolation cave while drilling because of no oil and gas origin. | 20 | Increased Oxygen Evolution Activity in pH-Universal Electrocatalyst: Urea-Modified NiFeCoCN Medium-Entropy Alloy显示文摘The kinetic process of a slow oxygen evolution reaction (OER) always constrains the efficiency of overall water electrolysis for H2 production.In particular,nonprecious metal electrodes for the OER have difficulty in possessing excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability in pH-universal media simultaneously.In this work,urea is first used as a pore-forming agent and active C/N source to fabricate a nanoporous NiFeCoCN medium-entropy alloy (MEA) by high-temperature sintering based on the nanoscale Kirkendall effect.The NiFeCoCN MEA achieves an overpotential of 432 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a lower Tafel slope of 52.4 mV·dec^(-1) compared to the IrO_(2)/Ti electrode (58.6 mV·dec^(-1)) in a 0.5 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4) solution.In a 1 mol/L KOH solution,the NiFeCoCN MEA obtains an overpotential of 175 mV for 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 40.8 mV·dec^(-1),which is better than IrO_(2)/Ni foam.This work proves a novel strategy to design and prepare nanoporous MEA materials with desirable C/N species,which provides promising prospects for the industrial production of H2 energy. | Hongwei Lv Zhiguo Ye Feng Pei Xinyuan Peng Juntong Huang Duosheng Li Zhong Jin | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,23: | 0 |
