| 2 | Effect of tempering temperature on the microstructure and properties of ultrahigh-strength stainless steel显示文摘The microstructure, precipitation and mechanical properties of Ferrium S53 steel, a secondary hardening ultrahigh-strength stainless steel with 10% Cr developed by QuesTek Innovations LLC, upon tem pering were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transm ission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and tensile and impact tests. Based on these results, the influence of the tem pering temperature on the microstructure and properties was discussed. The results show th at decom position occurred when the retained austenite was tem pered above 440 ℃ and that the hardening peak at 482 ℃ was caused by the joint strengthening of the precipitates and martensite transformation. Due to the high Cr content, the trigonal M7C3 carbide precipitated w hen the steel was tem pered at 400 ℃, and M7C3 and M2C (5 -10 nm in size) coexisted w hen it was tem pered at 482 ℃. When the steel was tem pered at 630 ℃, M2C and M23C6 carbides precipitated, and the sizes w ere greater than 50 nm and 500 nm, respectively, but no M7C3 carbide formed. | 4 | Features and genesis of micro-nanometer-sized grains on shear slip surface of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘In coseismic surface rupture zones caused by the 2008 Mw 7.9 Wenchuan earthquake, some thin-layered fault gouges with strong deformation were observed in different locations. In this paper, fault gouge samples were taken as research objects from the Bajiaomiao village in the south-west segment of the principal rupture and the Heshangping village and the Shaba village in the north-east segment of the principal rupture where larger displacements were measured. Fabric characteristics of the fault gouge samples and the morphologies and structures of micro-nanometer grains on Y-shear surfaces were then analyzed by using a stereoscope and SEM. Observation results showed that obvious Y- and R-shears and obvious scratches were well developed in coseismic gouges caused by the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. Micro-nanometer grains in the fault gouge of the Wenhcuan earthquake were formed mainly due to breaking, grinding, and powdering of fault slipping friction surface. Heat caused by fault slipping(maybe also including heat caused by thermal decomposition) played an important role in producing micro-nanometer sized grains. Existence occurrence state of micro-nanometer sized grains on fault slip surface includes singled grains and their complexes with shapes of ball, silkworm, pancake and mass. The structures mainly include dispersed and close-packed structures besides a few of striped and layered structures. All these structures were formed at the extreme unbalance conditions caused by rapid deforming during an earthquake. There always exist some voids between structures due to loosely contact. Only alienated grains are included in the stripped structure. But there are some singled grains with no deformation in dispersed and close-packed structures besides complexes of grains with morphologies of ball, silkworm, pancake and mass. The striped and close-packed structures are the results of plastic deformation, and the dispersed and layered structures are the results of brittle deformation whereas loose contact of different structures was caused mainly by discontinuous dynamic friction(fault stick-slipping). | 5 | Inventory and Spatial Distribution of Landslides Triggered by the 8th August 2017 M_W 6.5 Jiuzhaigou Earthquake, China显示文摘An accurate and detailed seismic landslide inventory is essential to better understand the landslide mechanism and susceptibility. The 8 th August 2017 MW 6.5 Jiuzhaigou Earthquake of China initiated a large number of coseismic landslides. The results of the post-seismic survey show the actual landslide number might be underestimated in previous publications. Coupled with field investigation and visual interpretation on high-resolution remote sensing images before and after the main shock, we established a detailed inventory of landslides triggered by the earthquake. Results show that this event caused at least 4 834 individual landslides with a total area of 9.64 km^2. They are concentrated in an elliptical area of 434 km^2, dominated by medium-and small-scale rock falls and debris slides. Statistics indicate that, except for slope aspect that seems not significantly correlated with the landsliding, these landslides are most common in the places with following features: elevation of 2 800–3 400 m, slope angle greater than 30o, slope positions of upper, middle and flat slopes, and Carboniferous limestone and dolomite. Besides, the landslide area percentage(LAP) and landslide number density(LND) values decrease with the increasing distance to river channels and roads, implying a positive correlation. Instead of centering around the epicenter, most of these coseismic landslides are distributed along the inferred seismogenic fault, which means that the seismogenic structure played a more important role than the location of the epicenter. Remarkable differences in landslide densities along the fault indicate the varied landslide susceptibility which may be attributed to other varied controls along the fault such as the rock mass strength. | 6 | Influence of microwave treatment on mechanical behaviour of compact basalts under different confining pressures显示文摘The realisation of microwave-induced fracturing of hard rocks has potential signiflcance for microwave-assisted mechanical rock fracturing and stress release in deep rock masses.In this context,compact basalts were treated by microwave heating in a multi-mode cavity at a frequency of 2450 MHz,and then,we investigated the mechanical behaviour of basalt samples after microwave treatment under uniaxial compression and conventional triaxial compression(CTC)tests.After microwave exposure,cracks appeared on the surface and inside of the rock sample,and the temperature of the sample's surface was unevenly distributed.The results show that the conventional triaxial compressive strength(CTCS)of basalt samples decreased linearly with microwave exposure time,and the higher the confining pressure,the smaller the reduction in the strength of basalt samples after microwave treatment.Under uniaxial compression,microwave exposure greatly affected the axial deformation,suggesting that deformation resistance of the samples gradually decreases with increasing microwave exposure time.Under triaxial compression,some microcracks induced by microwave exposure closed due to the effect of confining pressure,resulting in the confining pressure inhibiting any rightward shift of the axial deformation curve.Furthermore,under uniaxial compression,the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of basalts also decreased in a quasi-linear manner with elapsed microwave exposure time.Under triaxial compression,microwave exposure has slight influence on elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio.After microwave treatment,the changes in rock strength and deformation mainly result from changes in between the mineral structures.Confining pressure results in the closure of microcracks produced by microwave exposure,so that effects of microwave treatment on strength and deformation decrease,thus reducing the influence on elastic constants.The cohesion decreases with increasing microwave exposure time and shows an approximately linear decrease over time.In the basalt samples,new microcracks in various directions generated by microwave exposure can increase the discreteness of test results,while the discreteness of test results caused by microcracks gradually reduces with increasing confining pressure. | Gaoming Lu Xiating Feng Yuanhui Li Xiwei Zhang | 2020 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2020,12,2: | 7 |

| 8 | Progress of circulating fluidized bed combustion technology in China:a review显示文摘Circulating fluidized bed(CFB)technology plays an important role in the utilization of low-grade coal in China.This article reviews CFB combustion technology development in China and summarizes recent achievements.Since 1990 Chinese engineers and researchers have been undertaking work to improve CFB boiler technology.A completely novel CFB boiler design theory was developed and used in the domestic manufacturing of CFB boilers with various capacities.China is the largest supplier and customer of CFB boilers in the world due to the widespread use of CFB boilers.In 2007,the lower energy consumption CFB technology was successfully developed by re-specifying the fluidization state,which reduced the power consumption of forced fans and solved the potential erosion problems on the water wall.Afterwards,in order to increase the electric power generation efficiency,the supercritical CFB(SCCFB)boiler was developed and the first 600 MW SCCFB boiler was demonstrated and put into commercial operation in 2013.The success of the technology is evident with over 80 SCCFB boilers on order with capacities of 350 MW to 660 MW.Chinese scientists and engineers are also developing technology to lower the emissions of CFB combustion to meet the requirements of China’s strict emission regulations.This emission reduction is through high-efficiency desulfurization by limestone injection into the furnace and low NOx combustion,ultra-low emission of SO2 and NOx in the furnace can be realized by improving the bed quality and increasing the solid circulation rate.There is currently further research and design development being undertaken to develop a 660 MW ultra-supercritical CFB(USCCFB)boiler.The new boiler is expected to be operational before 2020 resulting in higher efficiency and lower energy consumption and emissions. | Runxia Cai Xiwei Ke Junfu Lyu Hairui Yang Man Zhang Guangxi Yue Wen Ling | 2017 | Clean Energy2017,1,1: | 5 |
| 9 | Is new American Thyroid Association risk classification for hereditary medullary thyroid carcinoma applicable to Chinese patients? A single-center study显示文摘Objective: The American Thyroid Association(ATA) proposed a new risk classification for hereditary medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC) in 2015. This study aimed to assess whether the new guidelines are suitable for the Chinese population, and reported our experience on prophylactic thyroidectomy.Methods: A total of 73 patients from 22 families were screened as rearranged during transfection(RET) mutation carriers from 2010 to 2016 in Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Science; the medical history for each patient was collected. Based on the initial treatment, we identified the risk factors for poor prognosis by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Then, 4 RET mutation carriers were enrolled for prophylactic thyroidectomy,and their pathological data and follow-up outcomes were recorded.Results: In univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses, age at initial surgery and risk classification were significant risk factors for stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ hereditary MTC at initial diagnosis. The likelihood was increased by 11.6% per year of age at initial surgery [95% confidence interval(95% CI), 1.040–1.198; P=0.002). It was 7.888 times more likely to have Ⅲ/Ⅳ stage disease for ATA highest risk patients, compared to ATA moderate risk individuals(95% CI, 1.607–38.717; P=0.003). Postoperative pathological results showed all 4 multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2A(MEN2A) patients had C-cell hyperplasia(CCH); multifocal malignancies were detected in 3 of them. All 4 patients were cured biochemically, and none developed permanent hypoparathyroidism.Conclusions: In Chinese individuals, hereditary MTC aggressiveness is in line with the new ATA risk classification. | 10 | Seismotectonics of the 2008 and 2009 Qaidam Earthquakes and its Implication for Regional Tectonics显示文摘Three magnitude >6 earthquakes struck Qaidam, Qinghai province, China, in November 10th 2008, August 28th and 31st 2009 respectively. The Zongwulongshan fault has often been designated as the active seismogenic structure, although it is at odd with the data. Our continuous GPS station (CGPS), the Xiao Qaidam station, located in the north of the Qaidam basin, is less than 30 km to the southwest of the 2008 earthquake. This CGPS station recorded the near field co-seismic deformation. Here we analyzed the co-seismic dislocation based on the GPS time series and the rupture processes from focal mechanism for the three earthquakes. The aftershocks were relocated to constrain the spatial characteristics of the 2008 and 2009 Qaidam earthquakes. Field geological and geomorphological investigation and interpretation of satellite images show that the Xitieshan fault and Zongwulongshan fault were activated as left lateral thrust during the late Quaternary. Evidence of folding can also be identified. Integrated analyses based on our data and the regional tectonic environment show that the Xitieshan fault is the fault responsible for the 2008 Qaidam earthquake, which is a low dip angle thrust with left lateral strike slip. The Zongwulongshan fault is the seismogenic fault of the 2009 earthquakes, which is a south dipping back thrust of the northern marginal thrust system of the Qaidam basin. Folding takes a significant part of the deformation in the northern marginal thrust system of the Qaidam basin, dominating the contemporary structure style of the northern margin of the Qaidam basin and Qilianshan tectonic system. | 12 | Cooperative geometric localization for a ground target based on the relative distances by multiple UAVs显示文摘Based on the locations of several unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) and their relative distances from a target, a ground target cooperative geometric localization method that is more effective than a traditional approach is proposed in this paper. First, an algorithm for determining the location of the target is described. The effectiveness and suitability of the proposed algorithm are then shown. Next, to investigate the location accuracy of the proposed method, the influence of three critical factors, namely, the flight altitude, UAV position errors, and measurement errors, is analyzed. Furthermore, for the required location accuracy, the feasible regions of these factors are determined based on their influence, and the location accuracy will satisfy the requirements if all factors are within the feasible regions. | 18 | Adverse Effect of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease on the Therapeutic Response in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B显示文摘Background and Aims:The impact of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)on the treatment outcome of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)is undefined and deserves an in-depth investigation.Methods:Histologically-proven CHB receiving first-line antiviral regimens as initial therapy was enrolled and grouped by the concurrence of NAFLD,and followed up at six monthly intervals.Therapeutic response related data were recorded and compared at multiple time points.Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were utilized to estimate the impact of NAFLD on complete virological response(CVR).Results:We enrolled 267 patients(CHB:164;CHB with NAFLD:103)with comparable follow-up durations.They were also comparable in baseline HBV DNA levels and HBeAg positivity.Patients with concomitant NAFLD showed less significant decline in HBV DNA,qHBsAg,pgRNA,and liver enzyme levels over time;moreover,their cumulative incidences of CVR were significantly lower and that of low-level viremia(LLV)were significantly higher at 6,12,18,24 months.First CVR of CHB was delayed with the presence NAFLD(11.0 vs.7.0 months,p<0.001)and further prolonged with higher grade of liver steatosis(Grade 2–3 vs.1:13.0 vs.9.0 months).On multivariate analysis,HBeAg positivity(HR:0.650,p=0.036),grade of steatosis(G2[HR:0.447,p=0.004];G3[HR:0.085,p=0.002])and HBV DNA(log10 IU/mL)(HR:0.687,p<0.001)were significantly associated with delayed CVR,whereas grade of necroinflammation(HR:1.758,p<0.001)accelerated the CVR.Conclusions:In CHB patients receiving initial antiviral therapy,NAFLD was associated with higher levels of HBV DNA,pgRNA,and liver enzymes,and higher incidence of LLV and delayed CVR. | Siyu Zhang Xiaoxiao Zhang Huiming Jin Yao Dou Lu Li Xiwei Yuan Chen Dong Mengmeng Hou Yue-min Nan Jia Shang | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1: | 1 |
| 19 | Biomass Catalytic Pyrolysis with Ni Based Catalyst to Produce Hydrogen Rich Gas显示文摘Hydrogen rich gas was produced using rice husk as biomass material on the continuous biomass pyrolysis apparatus which consisted of continuous pyrolysis reactor and secondary catalytic cracking reactor. Ni based catalysts of different Ni/Al mass ratio and calcined temperature were prepared by impregnating method. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scan electron microscope (SEM) and FT-IR Spectrometer (FT-IR). Ni based catalyst showed good selectivity for H2 production from biomass. Catalysts prepared under different conditions had little influence on the yields of three states products when used at the same cracking temperature. Ni/Al mass ratio played an important role in products selectivity. However, the content of NiO increased further when Ni/Al mass ratio values reached 0.7 : 10, and the yield of H2 slightly increased. Hydrogen yield was greatly impacted by calcined temperature. Catalyst calcined at 550℃ performed best. When the catalyst was calcined at high temperature, NiO in the catalyst transformed into NiAl2O4, and the acid site also changed, which caused the deactivation of the catalyst. The hydrogen yield increased with the cracking temperature.
