| 1 | Effects of Shengjiangxiexin decoction on irinotecan-induced toxicity in patients with UGT1A1*28 and UGT1A1*6 polymorphisms显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of Shengjiangxiexin decoction(SXD), prepared with a formula from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), in reducing irinotecan-induced hematological and gastrointestinal toxicities in patients with UDP-glucuronosyltransferase(UGT)1A1*28 and UGT1A1*6 polymorphisms.METHODS: This clinical trial included 115 patients receiving irinotecan combined with 5-fluorouracil plus l-leucovorin(FOLFIRI) treatment. All patients consented to UGT1A1*28 and *6 gene polymorphism detection prior to chemotherapy. SXD were administered from 1 day prior to chemotherapy to6 day post chemotherapy. Chemotherapy induced adverse reactions(neutropenia, diarrhea, nausea,vomiting, anorexia and infection) were recorded,and short-term effect of chemotherapy was evaluated regularly.RESULTS: A total of 50 patients had *1/*1 wild genotype, 58 patients had single allele variants with genotype *1/*6 or *1/*28, and 7 patients had twoalleles variants with genotype *6/*6, *28/*28 or *6/*28. In *1/*6 or *1/*28 patients(high risk group), 9patients(15.5%) developed Ⅰ-Ⅱ grade diarrhea and no patient developed severe diarrhea; neutropenia occurred in 19 patients(32.8%) and only 3 patients(8.6%) developed sever neutropenia. There were no significant differences in any toxic effects(neutropenia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, anorexia or infection) between *6 or *28 variant patients(high risk group) and wild type patients. No sever toxicity was found in high risk two alleles variants patients(*6/*6, *6/*28 or *28/*28). | 3 | Amelioration of imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis in mice by DSW therapy inspired hydrogel显示文摘Psoriasis is a long-lasting and recurrent autoimmune disease which is incurable so far.Dead Sea water(DSW)therapy is an effective approach to help control the symptoms of psoriasis due to the abundant mineral ions in DSW,which inspired the material formulation in this study.Rubidium–Sodium alginate/Polyacrylamide hydrogels(Rb-SA/PAAm gels)composed of sodium alginate and polyacrylamide interpenetrating network structure with different concentrations of rubidium and certain magnesium and zinc content were prepared for the treatment of psoriasis.The obtained results suggest the good mechanical properties of the Rb-SA/PAAm gels including toughness and swelling performance.In terms of in vitro tests,the Rb-SA/PAAm gels not only show nontoxicity to human keratinocyte cell line(Hacats)but also inhibits the activity against inflammatory NF-κβ signaling pathway.Meanwhile,they can release Rb+which enable the Rb-SA/PAAm gels have better antibacterial ability to Streptococcus and Escherichia coli.The results obtained from in vivo tests indicate that these hydrogels could alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis caused by Imiquimod(IMQ)in mice by reducing the inflammatory factor in STAT3 pathway and therefore reduce the immune stimulation of the spleen.In conclusion,the 100Rb-SA/PAAm gel has demonstrated great potential to be a topical wettable dressing for psoriasis treatment. | Xiang He Bing Zhu WeiJia Xie Yu He Jian Song Yi Zhang Chi Sun Hao Li QiYu Tang XinXin Sun Yanni Tan Yong Liu | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,2: | 2 |

| 5 | An Adaptive User Service Deployment Strategy for Mobile Edge Computing显示文摘Mobile edge computing(MEC) is a cloud server running at the edge of a mobile network, which can effectively reduce network communication delay. However, due to the numerous edge servers and devices in the MEC, there may be multiple servers and devices that can provide services to the same user simultaneously. This paper proposes a userside adaptive user service deployment algorithm ASD(Adaptive Service Deployment) based on reinforcement learning algorithms. Without relying on complex system information, it can master only a few tasks and users. In the case of attributes, perform effective service deployment decisions, analyze and redefine the key parameters of existing algorithms, and dynamically adjust strategies according to task types and available node types to optimize user experience delay. Experiments show that the ASD algorithm can implement user-side decision-making for service deployment. | 7 | Safety and efficacy of Tongkuaixiao ointment in reliving cancer-induced pain: a multicenter double-blind placebo-controlled randomized trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tongkuaixiao ointment(TKXO) in treating moderate-to-severe cancer induced somatalgia.METHODS: Totally 130 patients with moderateto-severe cancer induced somatalgia were randomly divided into a TKXO group and a control group.The patients were treated with either TKXO applied externally or placebo, with opioid analgesics orally at the same time. Observation parameters were included numerical rating scale(NRS) scores,analgesic efficacy, initiation effective time, persistent analgesic time, equivalent morphine dose,National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN)grade in Impact of Pain Measurement Scores, and safety and satisfaction extent investigation.RESULTS: NRS scores and NCCN grade in Impact of Pain Measurement Scores decreased significantly after 5-days' treatment in the two groups(P <0.0001). Compared to the control group, initiation effective time was significantly shorter(P < 0.05)and persistent analgesic time was significantly longer(P < 0.01), equivalent oral morphine doses of the first day and the whole treatment course were significantly decreased in the TKXO treatment group(P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). | 9 | Association of accelerometer-measured sleep duration and different intensities of physical activity with incident type 2 diabetes in a population-based cohort study显示文摘Purpose:The aim of the current study was to investigate the association of accelerometer-measured sleep duration and different intensities of physical activity(PA)with the risk of incident type 2 diabetes in a population-based prospective cohort study.Methods:Altogether,88,000 participants(mean age=62.2±7.9 years,mean±SD)were included from the UK Biobank.Sleep duration(short:<6 h/day;normal:6-8 h/day;long:>8 h/day)and PA of different intensities were measured using a wrist-won accelerometer over a 7-day period between 2013 and 2015.PA was classified according to the median or World Health Organization-recommendation:total volume of PA(high,low),moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA)(recommended,not recommended),and light-intensity PA(high,low).Incidence of type 2diabetes was ascertained using hospital records or death registries.Results:During a median follow-up of 7.0 years,1615 incident type 2 diabetes cases were documented.Compared with normal sleep duration,short(hazard ratio(HR)=1.21,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.03-1.41)but not long sleep duration(HR=1.01,95%CI:0.89-1.15)was associated with excessive type 2 diabetes risk.This increased risk among short sleepers seems to be protected against by PA.Compared with normal sleepers with high or recommended PA,short sleepers with low volume of PA(HR=1.81,95%CI:1.46-2.25),not recommended(below the World Health Organization-recommended level of)MVPA(HR=1.92,95%CI:1.55-2.36),or low light-intensity PA(HR=1.49,95%CI:1.13-1.90)had a higher risk of type 2 diabetes,while short sleepers with a high volume of PA(HR=1.14,95%CI:0.88-1.49),recommended MVPA(HR=1.02,95%CI:0.71-1.48),or high light-intensity PA(HR=1.14,95%CI:0.92-1.41)did not.Conclusion:Accelerometer-measured short but not long sleep duration was associated with a higher risk of incident type 2 diabetes.A higher level of PA,regardless of intensity,potentially ameliorates this excessive risk. | Xinyi Jin Yilin Chen Hongliang Feng Mingqing Zhou Joey W.Y.Chang Yaping Liu Alice Pik Shan Kong Xiao Tan Yun-Kwok Wing Yannis Yan Liang Jihui Zhang | 2024 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2024,13,2: | 0 |
