| 4 | The Upper Devonian orbital cyclostratigraphy and numerical dating conodont zones from Guangxi,South China显示文摘The hierarchically organized laminae, bundles, bundlesets and superbundlesets which correspond to a sub-Milankovitch, obliquity or precession, eccentricity and long eccentricity cyclothems, respectively, have been distinguished from the Upper Devonian Frasnian-Famennian (F-F) transitional carbonate successions deposited in the carbonate-basin and slope facies of Guangxi, South China. The durations of cyclothems are 8000-10000a, 16667a or 33333a, 100000a and 400000a, respectively. The ratio of eccentricity to precession, eccentricity to obliquity, and long eccentricity to eccentricity is 1:6,1:3 and 1 : 4 in the Devonian,respectively. Orbital cyclostratigraphical studies show that the durations of the conodont falsiovalis Zone, transitans Zone, punctata Zone, Lower hassi Zone, Upper hassi Zone, jamieae Zone,Lower rhenana Zone, Upper rhenana Zone,linguiformis Zone, Lower triangularis Zone, Middle triangularis Zone and Upper triangularis Zone are 0.4, 0.4, 0.4, 0.3, 0.4, 0.2, 0.8, 0.6, 0.8, 0.3, 0.3and 0.3 Ma from bottom to top, respectively, and the duration of the Frasnian is 4.3 Ma. The conodont is the normal marine organism of the latest mass extinction (the latest linguiformis Zone)and the first recovery (including the whole Lower triangularis and Middle triangularis Zone) in the F-F transition. The conodont mass extinction and recovery lasted 200000-100000a and 0.6 Ma,respectively. | 6 | Source apportionment of PM_(2.5)and visibility in Jinan,China显示文摘Atmospheric extinction is impacted by the chemical composition of particles.To better understand the chemical composition of PM_(2.5)(particles with diameters of less than 2.5μm)and its relationship with extinction,one-month sampling campaigns were carried out in four different seasons from 2013 to 2014 in Jinan,China.The seasonal average concentrations of PM_(2.5)were 120.9(autumn),156.6(winter),102.5(spring),and 111.8μg/m^(3)(summer).The reconstructed PM_(2.5)chemical composition showed that sulfate,nitrate,chlorine salt,organic matter(OM),mineral dust,elemental carbon(EC)and others accounted for 25%,14%,2%,24%,22%,3%and 10%,respectively.The relationship between the chemical composition of PM_(2.5)and visibility was reconstructed by the IMPROVE method,and ammonium sulfate,ammonium nitrate,OM and EC dominated the visibility.Seven main sources were resolved for PM_(2.5),including secondary particles,coal combustion,biomass burning,industry,motor vehicle exhaust,soil dust and cooking,which accounted for 37%,21%,13%,13%,12%,3%and 1%,respectively.The contributions of different sources to visibility were similar to those to PM_(2.5).With increasing severity of air pollution,the contributions of secondary particles and coal combustion increased,while the contribution of motor vehicle exhaust decreased.The results showed that coal combustion and biomass burning were still the main sources of air pollution in Jinan. | Mengtian Cheng Guiqian Tang Bo Lv Xingru Li Xinrui Wu Yiming Wang Yuesi Wang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 5 |
| 7 | Electro-conductive Nanocrystalline Cellulose Film Filled with TiO_2-ReducedGraphene Oxide Nanocomposite显示文摘Imparting electro-conductive properties to nanocellulosebased products may render them suitable for applications in electronics,optoelectronics, and energy storage devices. In the present work, an electroconductive nanocrystalline cellulose(NCC) film filled with TiO2-reducedgraphene oxide(TiO2-RGO) was developed. Initially, graphene oxide(GO) was prepared using the modified Hummers method and thereafter photocatalytically reduced using TiO2 as a catalyst. Subsequently, an electro-conductive NCC film was prepared via vacuum filtration with the as-prepared TiO2-RGO nanocomposite as a functional filler. The TiO2-RGO nanocomposite and the NCC/TiO2-RGO film were systematically characterized. The results showed that the obtained TiO2-RGO nanocomposite exhibited reduced oxygen-containing group content and enhanced electroconductivity as compared with those of GO. Moreover, the NCC film filled with TiO2-RGO nanocomposite displayed an electro-conductivity of up to 9.3 S/m and improved mechanical properties compared with that of the control. | 11 | Automated generation and ensemble-learned matching of X-ray absorption spectra显示文摘X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS)is a widely used materials characterization technique to determine oxidation states,coordination environment,and other local atomic structure information.Analysis of XAS relies on comparison of measured spectra to reliable reference spectra.However,existing databases of XAS spectra are highly limited both in terms of the number of reference spectra available as well as the breadth of chemistry coverage.In this work,we report the development of XASdb,a large database of computed reference XAS,and an Ensemble-Learned Spectra IdEntification(ELSIE)algorithm for the matching of spectra.XASdb currently hosts more than 800,000 K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge spectra(XANES)for over 40,000 materials from the open-science Materials Project database.We discuss a high-throughput automation framework for FEFF calculations,built on robust,rigorously benchmarked parameters.FEFF is a computer program uses a real-space Green’s function approach to calculate X-ray absorption spectra.We will demonstrate that the ELSIE algorithm,which combines 33 weak“learners”comprising a set of preprocessing steps and a similarity metric,can achieve up to 84.2% accuracy in identifying the correct oxidation state and coordination environment of a test set of 19 K-edge XANES spectra encompassing a diverse range of chemistries and crystal structures.The XASdb with the ELSIE algorithm has been integrated into a web application in the Materials Project,providing an important new public resource for the analysis of XAS to all materials researchers.Finally,the ELSIE algorithm itself has been made available as part of veidt,an open source machine-learning library for materials science. | Chen Zheng Kiran Mathew Chi Chen Yiming Chen Hanmei Tang Alan Dozier Joshua J.Kas Fernando D.Vila John J.Rehr Louis F.J.Piper Kristin A.Persson Shyue Ping Ong | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 3 |

| 13 | A RECTANGULAR SHELL ELEMENT FORMULATION WITH A NEW MULTI-RESOLUTION ANALYSIS显示文摘A multi-resolution rectangular shell element with membrane-bending based on the Kirchhoff-Love theory is proposed. The multi-resolution analysis(MRA) framework is formulated out of a mutually nesting displacement subspace sequence, whose basis functions are constructed of scaling and shifting on the element domain of basic node shape functions. The basic node shape functions are constructed from shifting to other three quadrants around a specific node of a basic element in one quadrant and joining the corresponding node shape functions of four elements at the specific node. The MRA endows the proposed element with the resolution level(RL) to adjust the element node number, thus modulating structural analysis accuracy accordingly. The node shape functions of Kronecker delta property make the treatment of element boundary condition quite convenient and enable the stiffness matrix and the loading column vectors of the proposed element to be automatically acquired through quadraturing around nodes in RL adjusting. As a result, the traditional 4-node rectangular shell element is a mono-resolution one and also a special case of the proposed element. The accuracy of a structural analysis is actually determined by the RL, not by the mesh. | 15 | Novel hemostatic agents based on gelatin-microbial transglutaminase mix显示文摘Hemostasis is a major challenge in surgical procedures and traumas. Conventional hemostatic methods have limited efficacy and may cause additional tissue damage. In this study, we designed a novel hemostatic agent based on the in situ gel formation of gelatin cross-linked by a novel microbial transglutaminase(mTGase), in which the amino acid sequences differed from commercial mTGases. The new hemostatic agent showed the same biochemical crosslinking chemistry as the final stages of the blood coagulation cascade while using gelatin as a 'structural' protein(rather than fibrin) and a calcium-independent mTGase as the crosslinking catalyst(rather than factor XIIIa).
