| 1 | miR-129-5p suppresses proliferation, migration, and induces apoptosis in pancreatic cancer cells by targeting PBX3显示文摘Pancreatic cancer(PC)is the seventh m ost frequent cause of cancer-related deaths world wide with a high mortality.MicroRNAs(miRNAs)act as im portant regulators for the developm ent of PC and participate in the progression of PC.miR-129-5p was reported to regulate the progression of tum ors,such as thyroid cancer and gastric cancer.However,the function of miR-129-5p in PC is still unclear.In this study,the down-regulation of miR-129-5p was detected in PC tissues and PC cells.miR-129-5p was overexpressed or knocked down in AsPC-1 and BxPC-3 cells.The results showed that miR-129-5p overexpression suppressed proliferation,m igration and invasion,and induced apoptosis of PC cells,whereas miR-129-5p knockdown showed opposite effects:In addition,we found that pre-B-cell leukemia hom eobox 3(PBX3)overexpression prom oted proliferation,m igration and invasion,but reduced apoptosis of PC cells.PBX3 was identified as a target of miR-129-5p by inform atics analysis and dual luciferase reporter assay.Finally,our results indicated that miR-129-5p suppressed cell proliferation and m igration by targeting PBX3.This study dem onstrated that miR-129-5p could function as a tu m o r suppressor in the progression and developm ent of PC by targeting PBX3,providing a reliable prognostic factor and a new therapeutic strategy for PC. | Zhisheng Qiu Xiaochun Wang Yuping Shi Mingxu Da | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,10: | 15 |
| 2 | Research Progress on Heat Stress of Rice at Flowering Stage显示文摘Global warming has caused frequent occurrence of heat stress at the flowering stage of single-season rice in the Yangtze River region of China, which results in declines of spikelet fertility and yield in rice. Rice flowering stage is the most sensitive period to high temperatures, and therefore, the key for heat stress happening is the flowering stage coinciding with high temperature, which causes spikelet fertility decreasing in heat-sensitive varieties, and is the major factor for heat injury differences among various rice planting regions. With the development of rice breeding, temperature indexes for heat stress has been converted from daily maximum temperature of 35 oC to 38 oC with the stress duration of more than 3 d. During the flowering stage, anther dehiscence inhibition and low pollen shedding onto the stigma are two main reasons for spikelet fertility reduction under high temperatures. At panicle initiation stage, high temperatures aggravate spikelet degeneration, and destroy floral organ development. Various types of rice varieties coexist in production, and indica-japonica hybrid rice demonstrates the highest heat resistance in general, followed by indica and japonica rice varieties. In production, avoiding high temperature is the main strategy of preventing heat stress, and planting suitable cultivars and adjustment of sowing date are the most effective measures. Irrigation is an effective real-time cultivation measure to decline the canopy temperature during the rice flowering stage. We suggested that further study should be focused on exploring heat injury differences among different rice variety types, and innovating rice-planting methods according to planting system changes in rice planting regions with extreme heat stress. | 4 | Decrement of Sugar Consumption in Rice Young Panicle Under High Temperature Aggravates Spikelet Number Reduction显示文摘Two rice genotypes Huanghuazhan(HHZ, heat-resistant) and IR36(heat-susceptible) were subjected to high-temperature(HT, 40℃) and normal-temperature(NT, 32℃) treatments at the spikelet differentiation stage. HT treatment inhibited spikelet differentiation, aggravated spikelet degeneration, reduced spikelet size, and disordered carbohydrate allocation. Meanwhile, HT treatment increased nonstructural carbohydrate content in leaves, but decreased that in stems and young panicles, and the same tendencies of sucrose and starch contents were observed in leaves and stem. However, HT treatment significantly increased the sucrose content and sharply decreased the glucose and fructose contents in young panicles. Lower activity levels of soluble acid invertase(EC3.2.1.26) and sucrose synthase(EC2.4.1.13) were observed under HT treatment. Moreover, HT treatment reduced the activities of key enzymes associated with glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle, which indicated sucrose consumption was inhibited in young panicles under HT treatment. Exogenous glucose and fructose applied under HT treatment increased the spikelet number more than exogenous sucrose. In conclusion, the results demonstrated that the reduction of spikelet number under high temperature was more affected by the decrease in sugar consumption than the blocking of sucrose transport. | 6 | Monolithic integration of MoS2-based visible detectors and GaN-based UV detectors显示文摘With the increasing demand for high integration and multi-color photodetection for both military and civilian applications, the research of multi-wavelength detectors has become a new research hotspot. However, current research has been mainly in visible dual-or multi-wavelength detectors, while integration of both visible light and ultraviolet(UV) dual-wavelength detectors has rarely been studied. In this work, large-scale and high-quality monolayer MoS2 was grown by the chemical vapor deposition method on transparent free-standing GaN substrate. Monolithic integration of MoS2-based visible detectors and GaN-based UV detectors was demonstrated using common semiconductor fabrication technologies such as photolithography, argon plasma etching, and metal deposition. High performance of a 280 nm and 405 nm dual-wavelength photodetector was realized.The responsivity of the UV detector reached 172.12 A/W, while that of the visible detector reached 17.5 A/W.Meanwhile, both photodetectors achieved high photocurrent gain, high external quantum efficiency, high normalized detection rate, and low noise equivalent power. | 8 | Quantum dots protect against MPP+-induced neurotoxicity in a cell model of Parkinson's disease through autophagy induction显示文摘Autophagy is a basic cellular process that decomposes damaged organelles and aberrant proteins. Dysregulation of autophagy is implicated in pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease(PD). Pharmacological compounds that stimulate autophagy can provide neuroprotection in models of PD. Nanoparticles have emerged as regulators of autophagy and have been tested in adjuvant therapy for diseases. In this present study, we explore the effects of quantum dots(QDs) that can induce autophagy in a cellular model of Parkinson's disease. Cd Te/Cd S/Zn S QDs protect differentiated rat pheochromocytoma PC12 cells from MPP+-induced cell damage, including reduced viability, apoptosis and accumulation of α-Synuclein, a characteristic protein of PD. The protective function of QDs is autophagy-dependent. In addition, we investigate the interaction between quantum dots and autophagic pathways and identify beclin1 as an essential factor for QDs-induced autophagy. | 10 | Frequency steering of spaceborne clocks based on XPNAV-1 observations显示文摘Due to high stable rotations, timing of pulsars provides a natural tool to correct the frequency deviation of spaceborne atomic clocks. Based on processing the observational data about a year of Crab pulsar given by XPNAV-1 satellite, we study the possibility of correcting the frequency deviation of spaceborne atomic clocks using pulsar timing. According to the observational data in X-ray band and the timing model parameters from radio observations, the pre-fit timing residuals with a level of 67.66 μs are obtained. By fitting the slope of the timing residuals affected by the faked frequency-biased reference clock, we estimated successfully the relative frequency deviation of the reference clock. | 11 | Construction of van der Waals substrates for largely mismatched heteroepitaxy systems using first principles显示文摘The high density of defects induced by large strains in largely mismatched heteroepitaxy systems, such as AlN and GaN, because of the large lattice and thermal mismatch between substrates and epilayers is the bottleneck problem. Graphene-assisted van der Waals(vdW) heteroepitaxy offers a new opportunity to resolve this problem. However, it suffers from the difficulty of nucleation. Here we theoretically assess the effects of five 2D materials for vdW heteroepitaxy of AlN and GaN, including graphene, hBN, MoS2, gC3N, and gC3N4, and provide physical insights using first-principle calculations. MoS2 and gC3N exhibit significant potential to overcome the shortcomings of graphene owing to their appropriate binding strengths and Al(or Ga)diffusion barriers. Moreover, the interface behavior between the epilayers and the substrates are carefully analyzed. | 17 | Effect of Zibushenjing Fang on skeletal development and brain tissue antioxidation in mice with kidney essence insufficiency: a mechanistic study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Zibushenjing Fang (formula for tonifying the kidney essence) on skeletal development and brain tissue antioxidation in mice with kidney essence insufficiency. METHODS: Fifty male Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups: normal group, model group, Jinkuishenqi Wan group, Zibushenjing Fang high dose group, and Zibushenjing Fang low dose group, with 10 mice in each group. The model of kidney essence insufficiency syndrome was established in all the mice except the normal group by using a cat to threaten the mice and by swimming until exhaustion daily which lasted about 21 days. Mice in the model group were administered 20 mL/ kg -1 · d -1 of normal saline intragastrically. The Jinkuishenqi Wan group was given 2.7 g/kg-1 · d-1 ofa solution of Jinkuishenqi Wan. The Zibushenjing Fang high dose group was given 20 g/kg -1 · d -1 and the Zibushenjing Fang low dose group was given 10 g/kg -1 · d -1 of a solution of Zibushenjing Fang.The general condition of all the groups was observed, including the quantity of food and water intake, swimming time, length of femur, and weight of the femur and musculus quadriceps femoris. The total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), glutathione peroxi- dase (GSH-Px), and methane dicarboxylic aldehyde (MDA) activities in the brain tissues were detected. RESULTS: Zibushenjing Fang could improve the manifestation of kidney essence insufficiency, increase the quantity of food and water intake, swimming time, femur length, and femur and musculus quadriceps femoris weight. It could also regulate the activities of T-SOD, GSH-Px, and MDA in brain tissue. | 19 | Salt-assisted growth and ultrafast photocarrier dynamics of large-sized monolayer ReSe2显示文摘Owing to its anisotropic optical and electrical properties,rhenium diselenide(ReSe2)has garnered considerable attention recently as a candidate material for polarization-sensitive photodetectors.However,the direct and controllable synthesis of large-sized ReSe2 with a uniform thickness is still a great challenge.Herein,we have refined the synthesis method to obtain uniform monolayer ReSe2 flakes with a size of up to^106μm on sapphire via an ambient-pressure chemical vapor deposition technique using Na promoter from sodium chloride.Interestingly,optical pump-probe spectroscopy revealed a fast switching from saturable absorption(SA)to absorption enhancement(AE)in subpicosecond time scale,followed by a slower decay induced by exciton recombination.Furthermore,both AE and SA signals exhibited clear angular dependence with a periodicity of 180°,which reflected the dichroism in nonlinear absorption dynamics.In addition,the photocarrier dynamics including free-carrier transport and subpicosecond relaxation due to exciton formation or surface trapping was probed using time resolved terahertz spectroscopy.We believe that our study serves as a reference for atomically controlled synthesis of large-sized ReSe2 and provides useful insights on its optoelectronic properties for novel device applications. | Shaolong Jiang Jin Yang Yuping Shi Jing Zhao Chunyu Xie Liyun Zhao Jiatian Fu Pengfei Yang Yahuan Huan Qin Xie Huachao Jiang Qing Zhang Xianlong Wang Fuhai Su Yanfeng Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,3: | 2 |
| 20 | Organic Host-Guest Materials with Bright Red Room-Temperature Phosphorescence for Persistent Bioimaging显示文摘Organic room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)materials have attracted immense attention in bioimaging due to their long emission lifetime and large Stokes shift.RTP materials with long emission wavelength can improve the penetration depth for bioimaging.However,the design of red persistent RTP materials is still challenging.In this study,a fused-ring structure has been proposed to effectively decrease the triplet energy level,thus extending the emission wavelength of phosphorescence.In addition,the fused-ring structure exhibits a high molar extinction coefficient(ɛ)and high luminescence efficiency due to the rigid structure.A new class of crystalline hosts(iminodibenzyl,IDB)are developed to stabilize the triplet excitons that are generated from the fused-ring molecules.The maximum RTP wavelength of doping materials can reach 635 nm with a lifetime of 9.35 ms.Water-disperse nanoparticles are successfully prepared for in vivo time-resolved bioimaging,which eliminates the background fluorescence interference from biological tissues.These reveal a delicate design strategy for the construction of long-wavelength emissive RTP materials for high-resolution bioimaging. | Yueyue Si Yeyun Zhao Wenbo Dai Shisheng Cui Peng Sun Jianbing Shi Bin Tong Zhengxu Cai Yuping Dong | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,13: | 1 |
