| 1 | Grinding performance evaluation of porous composite-bonded CBN wheels for Inconel 718显示文摘For high-efficiency grinding of difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium and nickel alloys, a high porosity is expected and also a sufficient mechanical strength to satisfy the function.However, the porosity increase is a disadvantage to the mechanical strength. As a promising pore forming agent, alumina bubbles are firstly induced into the abrasive layer to fabricate porous cubic boron nitride(CBN) wheels. When the wheel porosity reaches 45%, the bending strength is still high up to 50 MPa with modified orderly pore distribution. A porous CBN wheel was fabricated with a total porosity around 30%. The grinding performance of the porous composite-bonded CBN wheel was evaluated in terms of specific force, specific grinding energy, and grinding temperature, which were better than those of the vitrified one under the same grinding conditions. | 2 | Effects of advanced oxidation pretreatment on residual aluminum control in high humic acid water purification显示文摘Due to the formation of disinfection by-products and high concentrations of Al residue in drinking water purification, humic substances are a major component of organic matter in natural waters and have therefore received a great deal of attention in recent years. We investigated the effects of advanced oxidation pretreatment methods usually applied for removing dissolved organic matters on residual Al control. Results showed that the presence of humic acid increased residual Al concentration notably. With 15 mg/L of humic acid in raw water, the concentrations of soluble aluminum and total aluminum in the treated water were close to the quantity of Al addition. After increasing coagulant dosage from 12 to 120 mg/L, the total-Al in the treated water was controlled to below 0.2 mg/L. Purification systems with ozonation, chlorination, or potassium permanganate oxidation pretreatment units had little effects on residual Al control; while UV radiation decreased Al concentration notably. Combined with ozonation, the effects of UV radiation were enhanced. Optimal dosages were 0.5 mg O 3 /mg C and 3 hr for raw water with 15 mg/L of humic acid. Under UV light radiation, the combined forces or bonds that existed among humic acid molecules were destroyed; adsorption sites increased positively with radiation time, which promoted adsorption of humic acid onto polymeric aluminum and Al(OH) 3 (s). | 8 | Cation-vacancy induced Li+ intercalation pseudocapacitance at atomically thin heterointerface for high capacity and high power lithium-ion batteries显示文摘It is challenging to create cation vacancies in electrode materials for enhancing the performance of rechargeable lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Herein, we utilized a strong alkaline etching method to successfully create Co vacancies at the interface of atomically thin Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT heterostructure for high-energy/power lithium storage. The creation of Co-vacancies in the sample was confirmed by high-resolution scanning transmission electron microscope (HRSTEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electron energy loss near-edge structures (ELNES). The obtained Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT delivers an ultra-high capacity of 1688.2 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C, excellent rate capability of 83.7% capacity retention at 1 C, and an ultralong life up to 1500 cycles with a reversible capacity of 1066.3 mAh g^(−1). Reaction kinetic study suggests a significant contribution from pseudocapacitive storage induced by the Co-vacancies at the Co_(3−x)O_(4)/graphene@CNT interface. | 9 | Is proton a charge carrier for δ-MnO_(2) cathode in aqueous rechargeable magnesium-ion batteries?显示文摘Manganese dioxide(MnO_(2)) is considered as a potential cathode material for aqueous magnesium-ion batteries. However, the charge/discharge mechanism of MnO_(2)in aqueous electrolyte is still unclear. In present study, highly porous δ-MnO_(2) is investigated, which delivers a high capacity of 252.1 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.05 A g^(-1) and excellent rate capability, i.e., 109.7 m Ah g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1), but a low-capacity retention of 54.4% after 800 cycles at 1 A g^(-1). The two-step discharging process, namely a consequent H^(+) and Mg^(2+) insertion reaction, is verified, by comparing the electrochemical performance of δ-MnO_(2) in 1 M MgCl_(2) and 1 M MnCl_(2) aqueous electrolyte and analyzing detailedly the Mg content and the bonding state of Mn at different charge/discharge state. | 14 | Stressors and Coping Strategies of Medical Staff in the COVID-19 Pandemic in Wuhan显示文摘Exploring whether medical staff perceive stress on the assigned medical tasks,what are the specific sources of stress,what are the tangible sources of support they expected to be helpful,and individual coping with stress to provide more accurate,personal support for psychological crisis.This study uses a cross-sectional descriptive survey adopting convenience sampling among the medical staff who worked for over seven days in the infected areas of one Grade 2A and three Grade 3A hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.The assessment includes attitude when receiving tasks,major stressors,factors relieving stress,and personal management of stress.A total of 104(76.8%)valid questionnaires are received.A majority(94.3%)of the medical staff held a positive attitude taking duty for granted but feeling nervous and afraid(81.1%).Contacting the infected(90.6%)and compensation(92.5%)are the main concerns.The major pressure sources are regarding safety for oneself(98.1%),colleagues(92.5%),and family(94.3%),as well as lack of effective treatment(92.5%),inadequate protective equipment(94.3%)and incomplete disinfection(94.3%).The main positive pressure adjustments include strict infection controlling measures(98.4%),maintaining a positive attitude(95.2%),actively attain more information 95.2%,and engage in recreational activities(93.6%),but more than 40%takes negative adjustments to vent their emotions and relieve anxiety,suggesting the importance of early psychological intervention.During the COVID-19 pandemic,the main stressors among medical staff are safety,uncertainty and shortage of resources.Positive coping includes taking effective protective measures and achieving thorough understanding of the virus. | Long Liu Yanlin Shi Xiyan Fei Zhenzhen Wang Zhi Wang Li Li Lin Ding Qiaoyuan Yan | 2021 | International Journal of Mental Health Promotion2021,23,3: | 1 |
