| 1 | Geographical characteristics of China’s wetlands derived from remotely sensed data显示文摘In this paper, we report the first wetland mapping of the entire China using Landsat enhanced thematic mapper plus (ETM+) data. These data were obtained from the Global Land Cover Facility at the University of Maryland spanning from 1999 to 2002. A total of 597 scenes of Landsat images were georeferenced and mosaiced. Manual image interpretation of satellite images was aided with elevation data, soil data, land cover/land use data and Google Earth. The minimum mapping unit is 10 pixel × 10 pixel, equivalent to 9 ha. The aim of our first round of mapping was only targeted at the boundary delineation of any type of wetland except those wetlands that are under agricultural use (i.e., paddy fields), which has already been well mapped by others. Our interpretation results indicate that a total of 359478 km2 of wetlands are of non-agricultural use. Among our preliminarily mapped wetland, 339353 km2 are inland wetland, 2786 km2 are non-agricultural artificial wetland, and 17609 km2 are coastal wetland. Because low-tide is rarely captured in satellite images, an under-estimation of coastal wetland is inevitable. We conducted some statistics based on our mapped wetlands and compared them with those previously obtained from a number of sources including a land cover/land use map made with satellite images during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a marshland map developed in approximately the same period, survey data of coastal wetland in early 1980s, and area data for approximately 400 larger patches of marshland in China compiled in 1996. Because some inconsistencies exist in the guidelines of those different wetland surveys, difference in area is expected. Some further comparison indicates that the wetland distributions derived from the preliminary wetland map are reasonable and more objective than other sources. The mapping process also indicated that the method adopted by us was efficient and cost-effective. We also found that in order to ensure comparability of the wetland maps developed at different times, a set of standard guidelines on the wetland categories to be mapped, and the mapping methods to be used must be well conceived, developed and effectively employed. | 5 | Numerical modeling of metamorphic core complex formation:Implications for the destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘Widespread magmatism, metamorphic core complexes(MCCs), and significant lithospheric thinning occurred during the Mesozoic in the North China Craton(NCC). It has been suggested that the coeval exhumation of MCCs with uniform northwest-southeast shear senses and magmatism probably resulted from a decratonization event during the retreat of the paleo-Pacific Plate. Here we used two-dimensional finite element thermomechanical numerical models to investigate critical parameters controlling the formation of MCCs under far-field extensional stress. We observed three end-member deformation modes: the MCC mode, the symmetric-dome mode, and the pure-shear mode. The MCC mode requires a Moho temperature of ≥700 ℃ and an extensional strain rate of ≥5 × 10^(-16)s^(-1), implying that the lithosphere had already thinned when the MCC was formed in the Mesozoic. | 15 | 8.30%Efficiency P3HT-based all-polymer solar cells enabled by a miscible polymer acceptor with high energy levels and efficient electron transport显示文摘P3HT stands out from numerous polymer donors owing to the merits of low cost and high scalability of synthesis.However,the photovoltaic performance of P3HT-based blends lags significantly behind the state-of-the-art systems,especially for all-polymer solar cells(APSCs) that generally show efficiency of around 3%–4% due to the lack of matched polymer acceptors.Herein,a polymer acceptor,named IDTBTC8-CN,was designed and synthesized with indacenodithiophene(IDT) and mono-cyano(CN)-substituted benzothiadiazole(BT-CN) as building blocks.Introducing a CN group endowed the polymer with decreased bandgap,and apparent n-type charge transport character despite the relatively high energy levels.Additionally,IDTBTC8-CN showed largely improved miscibility with P3HT,compared with that of BT-based control polymer IDTBTC8.The high miscibility between P3HT and IDTBTC8-CN as well as the amorphous aggregation behavior of IDTBTC8-CN enabled a broad manipulation room for the blend film to acquire favorable morphology.Eventually,a champion efficiency of 8.30% was achieved,in sharp contrast to that of the IDTBTC8-based system(1.21%).Such efficiency is a new record for P3HT-based APSCs reported so far.Moreover,P3HT:IDTBTC8-CN blend film also exhibited excellent mechanical robustness.This study implies the guidance of molecular design of the polymer acceptors and morphology control for P3HT-based APSCs. | Ziqi Liang Jiangting He Bin Zhao Mengyuan Gao Yu Chen Long Ye Miaomiao Li Yanhou Geng | 2023 | Science China Chemistry2023,66,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Coupling simulation of fluid structure interaction in the stirred vessel with a pitched blade turbine显示文摘The interaction between fluid and a down-pumping pitched blade turbine fixed with a flexible shaft in the stirred vessel, as a typical fluid structure interaction phenomenon, was simulated by coupling the Computational Fluid Dynamics and Computational Structural Dynamics. Based on the verification of the simulated impeller torque and dimensionless shaft bending moment with experimental result, the dimensionless shaft bending moment and various loads acting on impeller(including lateral force, axial force and bending moment) were discussed in detail. By separating and extracting the fluid and structural components from those loads, the results show that the shaft bending moment mainly results from the lateral force on impeller although the axial force on impeller is much larger. The impeller mass imbalance increases the shaft bending moment and the lateral force on impeller, but has little influence on the axial force and bending moment acting on impeller. | 17 | Automated identification of sensitive data from implicit user specification显示文摘The sensitivity of information is dependent on the context of application and user preference.Protecting sensitive data in the cloud era requires identifying them in the first place.It typically needs intensive manual efforts.More importantly,users may specify sensitive information only through an implicit manner.Existing research efforts on identifying sensitive data from its descriptive texts focus on keyword/phrase searching.These approaches can have high false positives/negatives as they do not consider the semantics of the descriptions.In this paper,we propose S3,an automated approach to identify sensitive data based on users’implicit specifications.Our approach considers semantic,syntactic and lexical information comprehensively,aiming to identify sensitive data by the semantics of its descriptive texts.We introduce the notion concept space to represent the user’s notion of privacy,by which our approach can support flexible user requirements in defining sensitive data.Our approach is able to learn users’preferences from readable concepts initially provided by users,and automatically identify related sensitive data.We evaluate our approach on over 18,000 top popular applications from Google Play Store.S3 achieves an average precision of 89.2%,and average recall 95.8% in identifying sensitive data. | Ziqi Yang Zhenkai Liang | 2018 | Cybersecurity2018,1,1: | 0 |

Here, we report the observation of a crossover of heat conduction behavior from three dimensions to quasi-one dimension in polyimide nanofibers at a given temperature. A theoretical model based on the random walk theory has been proposed to quantitatively describe the interplay between the inter-chain hopping and the intra-chain hopping in nanofibers. | 19 | Composition-Dependent of 6 M Martensite Structure and Magnetism in Cu-Alloyed Ni-Mn-In-Co by First-Principles Calculations显示文摘The composition dependence of the crystal structure and magnetism of the 6 M martensite for the Cu-doped Ni_(43.75)Mn_(37.5)In_(12.5)Co_(6.25) alloy at different site occupations(Cu substitution for Ni, Mn, In, and Co, respectively) is investigated in detail with the first-principles calculations. Results show that the austenite(A) phase exhibits a ferromagnetic(FM) state in all occupation manners, the 6 M martensite possesses an FM state except for the case of Cu substitution at the normal Mn(Mn1) site, and the non-modulated(NM) martensite displays a ferrimagnetic(FIM) state apart from the Cu substitution at the Ni, Mn1, or In sites. The Cu atom destabilizes the A, 6 M, and NM phases regardless of the occupation manner. The one-step martensitic transformation from the A to NM phase occurs in the case of Cu substituting for Mn1, excess Mn(Mn2), or Co;for Cu substituting Ni, a martensitic transformation including 6 M martensite happens, i.e., A → 6 M → NM;however, the martensitic transformation disappears when Cu replaces In site. From the equilibrium lattice constants, it can be speculated that the substitution of Cu for Ni can effectively reduce the thermal hysteresis( ΔT_(Hys)). The magnetic properties are found to be greatly reduced by the substitution of the non-magnetic element Cu for the ferromagnetic Mn atom, whereas the effect is fewer in the remaining cases. It is predicted that the alloy has more favorable properties when Cu replaces Ni. | 20 | Revealing the role of site occupation in phase stability,magnetic and electronic properties of Ni-Mn-In alloys by ab initio approach显示文摘The effects of site occupation on the phase stability,martensitic transformation,and the magnetic and electronic properties of a full series of Ni-Mn-In alloys are theoretically studied by using the ab initio calculations.Results indicate that the excess atoms of the rich component directly take the sublattices of the deficient components of the Ni2Mn_(1+x)In_(1-x),Ni2-xMn_(1+x)In,and Ni_(2+x)Mn_(1-x)In alloys.Nevertheless,the mixed and indirect site occupations may coexist in the Ni_(2+x)Mn In_(1-x)system.The relevant magnetic configurations of the austenite for the four alloy systems have also been determined.The results show that,except for the austenite in the Ni2-xMn_(1+x)In alloys,which tend to be ferrimagnetic,the other alloys all present ferromagnetic austenite.Thus,the site occupation and associated magnetic states are the crucial influencing factors of the phase stability,martensitic transformation,and the total magnetic moment.The electronic structure of the austenite phase also shows that the covalent bonding plays an important role in the phase stability.The key finding of this work is both Ni2Mn_(1+x)In_(1-x)and Ni_(2+x)Mn In_(1-x)alloys serve as the potential shape memory alloys. | Xinzeng Liang Jing Bai Ziqi Guan Jianglong Gu Haile Yan Yudong Zhang Claude Esling Xiang Zhao Liang Zuo | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,24: | 0 |
