3Spatiotemporal variation in alpine grassland phenology in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau from 1999 to 2009显示文摘Plant phenology is the most salient and sensitive indicator of terrestrial ecosystem response to climate change.Studying its change is significantly important in understanding and predicting impressively changes in terrestrial ecosystem.Based on NDVI from SPOT VGT,this paper analyzed the spatiotemporal changes in alpine grassland phenology in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau from 1999 to 2009.The results are enumerated as follows:(1) The spatial distribution of the average alpine grassland phenology from 1999 to 2009 is closely related to water and heat conditions.Accompanying the deterioration in heat and water conditions from southeast to northwest,the start of growth season(SOG) was delayed gradually,the end of growth season(EOG) advanced slowly,and the length of growth season(LOG) shortened gradually.Elevation played an important role in the regional differentiation of phenology,but a dividing line of approximately 3500 m existed.Below this line,the phenology fluctuated irregularly with altitude change,whereas above the line,the phenology is closely related to altitude change.(2) From 1999 to 2009,SOG of the alpine grassland came earlier by six days per decade(R2=0.281,P=0.093),EOG was late by two days per decade(R2=0.031,P=0.605),and LOG lengthened by eight days per decade(R2=0.479,P=0.018).The early SOG,the late EOG,and the extended LOG mainly occurred at the center and east of the Plateau.SOG in most of the Plateau advanced significantly,especially in the eastern Plateau.(3) The inter-annual phenology changes of the alpine grassland in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau exhibited significant differentiation at different elevation and natural zones.The inter-annual changes at high altitude were more complicated than that at low altitude.The most significant phenology changes were found in the eastern Qinghai-Qilian montane steppe zone,and non-significant changes occurred in the Southern Tibet montane shrub-steppe zone.DING MingJun ZHANG YiLi SUN XiaoMin LIU LinShan WANG ZhaoFeng BAI WanQi 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,3:44

7Effect of preoperative biliary drainage on malignant obstructive jaundice:A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the effect of preoperative biliary drainage (PBD) on obstructive jaundice resulting from malignant tumors. METHODS: According to the requirements of Cochrane systematic review, studies in the English language were retrieved from MEDLINE and Embase databases from 1995 to 2009 with the key word 'preoperative biliary drainage'. Two reviewers independently screened the eligible studies, evaluated their academic level and extracted the data from the eligible studies confirmed by cross-checking. Data about patients with and without PBD after resection of malignant tumors were processed for meta-analysis using the Stata 9.2 software, including postoperative mortality, incidence of postoperative pancreatic and bile leakage, abdominal abscess, delayed gastric emptying and incision infection.RESULTS: Fourteen retrospective cohort studies involving 1826 patients with malignant obstructive jaundice accorded with our inclusion criteria, and were included in meta-analysis. Their baseline characteristics were comparable in all the studies. No significant difference was found in combined risk ratio (RR) of postoperative mortality and incidence of pancreatic and bile leakage, abdominal abscess, delayed gastric emptying between patients with and without PBD. However, the combined RR for the incidence of postoperative incision infection was improved better in patients with PBD than in those without PBD (P < 0.05). 11Land cover change along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway and Railway from 1981 to 2001显示文摘Based on the NOAA AVHRR-NDVI monthly data from 1981 to 2001, the spatial distribution and dynamic change of land cover along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway and Railway were studied. The results of the analytical data indicate that the NDVI values in July, August and September are rather high during a year, and a linear trend by calculating NDVI of each pixel computed based on the average values of NDVI in July, August and September were obtained. The results are as follows: 1) Land cover of the study area by NDVI displays high at two sides of the area and low in the center, and agriculture area > alpine meadow > alpine grassland > desert grassland. 2) In the study area, the amount of pixels with high increase, slight increase, no change, slight decrease and high decrease account for 0.29%, 14.86%, 67.61%, 16.7% and 0.57% of the whole area, respectively. The increase of land cover pixels is mainly in the agriculture and alpine meadow and the decrease pixels mainly in the alpine grassland, desert grassland and hungriness. Grassland and hungriness contribute to the decrease mostly and artificial land and meadow contribute to the increase mostly. 3) In the area where human beings live, the changing trend is obvious, such as the valleys of Lhasa River and Huangshui River and area along the Yellow River; in the high altitude area with fewer people living, the changing trend is relatively low, like the area of Hoh Xil. 4) Human being’s behaviors are a key factor followed by the climate changes affecting land cover.DING Mingkun ZHANG Yili SHEN Zhenx LIU Linshan ZHANG Wei WANG Zhaofeng BAI Wanqi ZHENG Du 2006Journal of Geographical Sciences2006,16,4:15
12A mussel-inspired supramolecular hydrogel with robust tissue anchor for rapid hemostasis of arterial and visceral bleedings显示文摘In recent years,the developed hemostatic technologies are still difficult to be applied to the hemostasis of massive arterial and visceral hemorrhage,owing to their weak hemostatic function,inferior wet tissue adhesion,and low mechanical properties.Herein,a mussel-inspired supramolecular interaction-cross-linked hydrogel with robust mechanical property(308.47±29.20 kPa)and excellent hemostatic efficiency(96.5%±2.1%)was constructed as a hemostatic sealant.Typically,we combined chitosan(CS)with silk fibroin(SF)by cross-linking them through tannic acid(TA)to maintain the structural stability of the hydrogel,especially for wet tissue adhesion ability(shear adhesive strength=29.66±0.36 kPa).Compared with other materials reported previously,the obtained CS/TA/SF hydrogel yielded a lower amount of blood loss and shorter time to hemostasis in various arterial and visceral bleeding models,which could be ascribed to the synergistic effect of wound closure under wet state as well as intrinsic hemostatic activity of CS.As a superior hemostatic sealant,the unique hydrogel proposed in this work can be exploited to offer significant advantages in the acute wound and massive hemorrhage with the restrictive access of therapeutic moieties.Ziwen Qiao Xueli Lv Shaohua He Shumeng Bai Xiaochen Liu Linxi Hou Jingjing He Dongmei Tong Renjie Ruan Jin Zhang Jianxun Ding Huanghao Yang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:14
13GSA:Genome Sequence Archive显示文摘With the rapid development of sequencing technologies towards higher throughput and lower cost, sequence data are generated at an unprecedentedly explosive rate. To provide an efficient and easy-to-use platform for managing huge sequence data, here we present Genome Sequence Archive(GSA; http://bigd.big.ac.cn/gsa or http://gsa.big.ac.cn), a data repository for archiving raw sequence data. In compliance with data standards and structures of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration(INSDC), GSA adopts four data objects(Bio Project, Bio Sample,Experiment, and Run) for data organization, accepts raw sequence reads produced by a variety of sequencing platforms, stores both sequence reads and metadata submitted from all over the world,and makes all these data publicly available to worldwide scientific communities. 14A land use regression for predicting NO_2 and PM_(10) concentrations in different seasons in Tianjin region,China显示文摘Land use regression (LUR) model was employed to predict the spatial concentration distribution of NO2 and PM10 in the Tianjin region based on the environmental air quality monitoring data. Four multiple linear regression (MLR) equations were established based on the most significant variables for NO2 in heating season (R2 = 0.74), and non-heating season (R2 = 0.61) in the whole study area; and PM10 in heating season (R2 = 0.72), and non-heating season (R2 = 0.49). Maps of spatial concentration distribution for NO2 and PM10 were obtained based on the MLR equations (resolution is 10 km). Intercepts of MLR equations were 0.050 (NO2, heating season), 0.035 (NO2, non-heating season), 0.068 (PM10, heating season), and 0.092 (PM10, non-heating season) in the whole study area. In the central area of Tianjin region, the intercepts were 0.042 (NO2, heating season), 0.043 (NO2, non-heating season), 0.087 (PM10, heating season), and 0.096 (PM10, non-heating season). These intercept values might imply an area’s background concentrations. Predicted result derived from LUR model in the central area was better than that in the whole study area. R2 values increased 0.09 (heating season) and 0.18 (non-heating season) for NO2, and 0.08 (heating season) and 0.04 (non-heating season) for PM10. 15Plasma microRNAs as potential new biomarkers for early detection of early gastric cancer显示文摘BACKGROUND Early gastric cancer(EGC), compared with advanced gastric cancer(AGC), has a higher 5-year survival rate. However, due to the lack of typical symptoms and the difficulty in diagnosing EGC, no effective biomarkers exist for the detection of EGC, and gastroscopy is the only detection method.AIM To provide new biomarkers with high specificity and sensitivity through analyzed the differentially expressed microRNAs(miRNAs) in EGC and AGC and compared them with those in benign gastritis(BG).METHODSWe examined the differentially expressed miRNAs in the plasma of 30 patients with EGC, AGC, and BG by miRNA chip analysis. Then, we analyzed and selected the significantly different miRNAs using bioinformatics. Reverse transcription quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)confirmed the relative transcription level of these miRNAs in another 122 patients, including patients with EGC, AGC, Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-negative gastritis(Control-1), and H. pylori-positive atrophic gastritis(Control-2).To establish a diagnostic model for the detection of plasma miRNA in EGC, we chose miRNAs that can be used to determine EGC and AGC from Control-1 and Control-2 and miRNAs in EGC from all other groups.RESULTS Among the expression profiles of the miRNA chips in the three groups in the discovery set, of 117 aberrantly expressed miRNAs, 30 confirmed target prediction, whereas 14 were included as potential miRNAs. The RT-qPCR results showed that 14 potential miRNAs expression profiles in the two groups exhibited no differences in terms of H. pylori-negative gastritis(Control-1) and H. pyloripositive atrophic gastritis(Control-2). Hence, these two groups were incorporated into the Control group. A combination of four types of miRNAs,miR-7641, miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p, were used to effectively distinguish the Cancer group(EGC + AGC) from the Control group [area under the curve(AUC) = 0.799, 95% confidence interval(CI): 0.691-0.908, P < 0.001].Additionally, miR-425-5 p, miR-24-3 p, miR-1180-3 p and miR-122-5 p were utilized to distinguish EGC from the Control group(AUC = 0.829, 95%CI: 0.657-1.000, P =0.001). Moreover, the miR-24-3 p expression level in EGC was lower than that in the AGC(AUC = 0.782, 95%CI: 0.571-0.993, P = 0.029), and the miR-4632-5 p expression level in EGC was significantly higher than that in AGC(AUC = 0.791,95%CI: 0.574-1.000, P = 0.024).CONCLUSION The differentially expressed circulatory plasma miR-425-5 p, miR-1180-3 p, miR-122-5 p, miR-24-3 p and miR-4632-5 p can be regarded as a new potential biomarker panel for the diagnosis of EGC. The prediction and early diagnosis of EGC can be considerably facilitated by combining gastroscopy with the use of these miRNA biomarkers, thereby optimizing the strategy for effective detection of EGC. 17Clinical significance and influencing factors of linked color imaging technique in real-time diagnosis of active Helicobacter pylori infection显示文摘Background:Determining the Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection state during the gastroscopic process is important but still challenging. The linked color imaging (LCI) technique might emphasize the mucosal color change after H. pylori infection, which might help the diagnosis. In the present study, we aimed to compare the LCI technique with traditional white light imaging (WLI) endoscopy for diagnosing active H. pylori infection.Methods:We collected and analyzed gastroscopic images from 103 patients in our hospital from November 2017 to March 2018, including both LCI and WLI modes. All images were randomly disordered and independently evaluated by four endoscopists who were blinded to the H. pylori status of patients. In addition, the H. pylori state was determined by both rapid urease test and pathology staining. The sensitivity, specificity, positive prediction value (PPV), and negative prediction value (NPV) were calculated for the detection of H. pylori infection. Moreover, the kappa value and interclass correlation coefficient (ICC) were used to evaluate the inter-observer variety by SPSS 24.0 software.Results:Of the 103 enrolled patients, 27 of them were positive for H. pylori infection, while the 76 patients were negative. In total, 388 endoscopic images were selected, including 197 WLI and 191 LCI. The accuracy rate for H. pylori evaluation in the corpus LCI group was significantly higher than other groups (81.2% vs. 64.3%-76.5%, χ2 = 34.852, P < 0.001). Moreover, the corpus LCI group had the optimal diagnostic power with the sensitivity of 85.41% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 76.40%-91.51%), the specificity of 79.71% (95% CI: 74.38%-84.19%), the PPV of 59.42% (95% CI: 50.72%-67.59%), and the NPV of 94.02% (95% CI: 89.95%-96.56%), respectively. The kappa values between different endoscopists were higher with LCI than with WLI (0.433-0.554 vs. 0.331-0.554). Consistently, the ICC value was also higher with LCI than with WLI (0.501 [95% CI: 0.429-0.574] vs. 0.397 [95% CI: 0.323-0.474]). We further analyzed the factors that might lead to misjudgment, revealing that active inflammation might disturb WLI judgment (accuracy rate: 58.70% vs. 76.16%, χ2 = 21.373, P < 0.001). Atrophy and intestinal metaplasia might affect the accuracy of the LCI results (accuracy rate: 66.96% vs. 73.47%, χ2 = 2.027;68.42% vs. 73.53 %, χ2 = 1.594, respectively);however, without statistical significance (P = 0.154 and 0.207, respectively).Conclusions:The application of LCI at the corpus to identify H. pylori infection is reliable and superior to WLI.
