Single-atom site catalysts for environmental catalysis显示文摘In recent decades, the environmental protection and long-term sustainability have become the focus of attention due to the increasing pollution generated by the intense industrialization. To overcome these issues, environmental catalysis has increasingly been used to solve the negative impact of pollutants emission on the global environment and human health.Supported platinum-metal-group(PGM)materials are commonly utilized as the state-of-the-art catalysts to eliminate gaseous pollutants but large quantities of PGMs are required.By comparison,single-atom site catalysts(SACs)have attracted much attention in catalysis owing to their 100%atom efficiency and unique catalytic performances towards various reactions.Over the past decade,we have witnessed burgeoning interests of SACs in heterogeneous catalysis. However,to the best of our knowledge, the systematic summary and analysis of SACs in catalytic elimination of environmental pollutants has not yet been reported. In this paper,we summarize and discuss the environmental catalysis applications of SACs.Particular focus was paid to automotive and stationary emission control, including model reaction(CO oxidation,NO reduction and hydrocarbon oxidation),overall reaction(three-way catalytic and diesel oxidation reaction),elimination of volatile organic compounds(formaldehyde, benzene, and toluene),and removal/decomposition of other pollutants(Hg0 and SO3).Perspectives related to further challenges, directions and design strategies of single-atom site catalysts in environmental catalysis were also provided. | Ningqiang Zhang Chenliang Ye Han Yan Lingcong Li Hong He Dingsheng Wang Yadong Li | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,12: | 38

Adaptive fault-tolerant attitude tracking control for spacecraft with time-varying inertia uncertainties显示文摘This paper is devoted to adaptive attitude tracking control for rigid spacecraft in the presence of parametric uncertainties, actuator faults and external disturbance. Specifically, a dynamic model is established based on one-tank spacecraft, which explicitly takes into account changing Center of Mass(CM). Then, a control scheme is proposed to achieve attitude tracking.Benefiting from explicitly considering the changing CM during the controller design process, the proposed scheme possesses good robustness to parametric uncertainties with less fuel consumption. Moreover, a fault-tolerant control algorithm is proposed to accommodate actuator faults with no need of knowing the actuators' fault information. Lyapunov-based analysis is provided and the closed-loop system stability is rigorously proved. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers. | Qinglei HU Li XIAO Chenliang WANG | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,3: | 10
Clinical study using mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of patients with severe COVID-19显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by SARS-CoV-2 was identified in December 2019.The symptoms include fever, cough, dyspnea, early symptom of sputum, and acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)therapy is the immediate treatment used for patients with severe cases of COVID-19.Herein,we describe two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wuhan to explore the role of MSC in the treatment of COVID-19.MSC transplantation increases the immune indicators(including CD4 and lymphocytes)and decreases the inflammation indicators(interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein).High-flow nasal cannula can be used as an initial support strategy for patients with ARDS.With MSC transplantation, the fracrion of inspired O2(Fi02)of the two patients gradually decreased while the oxygen saturation(Sa02)and partial pressure of oxygen(P02)improved.Additionally,the patients9 chest computed tomography showed that bilateral lung exudate lesions were adsorbed after MSC infusion. Results indicated that MSC transplantation provides clinical data on the treatment of COVID-19 and may serve as an alternative method for treating COVID-19,particularly in patients with ARDS. | Lingling Tang Yingan Jiang Mengfei Zhu Lijun Chen Xiaoyang Zhou Chenliang Zhou Peng Ye Xiaobei Chen Baohong Wang Zhenyu Xu Qiang Zhang Xiaowei Xu Hainv Gao Xiaojun Wu Dong Li Wanli Jiang Jingjing Qu Charlie Xiang Lanjuan Li | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5: | 8
A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. We propose five theoretical challenges and three application problems of HASM that need to be addressed to improve FTEEM. | Tianxiang YUE Na ZHAO Yu LIU Yifu WANG Bin ZHANG Zhengping DU Zemeng FAN Wenjiao SHI Chuanfa CHEN Mingwei ZHAO Dunjiang SONG Shihai WANG Yinjun SONG Changqing YAN Qiquan LI Xiaofang SUN Lili ZHANG Yongzhong TIAN Wei WANG Ying’an WANG Shengnan MA Hongsheng HUANG Yimin LU Qing WANG Chenliang WANG Yuzhu WANG Ming LU Wei ZHOU Yi LIU Xiaozhe YIN Zong WANG Zhengyi BAO Miaomiao ZHAO Yapeng ZHAO Yimeng JIAO Ufra NASEER Bin FAN Saibo LI Yang YANG John PWILSON | 2020 | Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,8: | 7
NEXT:a neural network framework for next POI recommendation显示文摘The task of next POI recommendations has been studied extensively in recent years. However, developing a unified recommendation framework to incorporate multiple factors associated with both POIs and users remains challenging, because of the heterogeneity nature of these information.Further, effective mechanisms to smoothly handle cold-start cases are also a difficult topic.Inspired by the recent success of neural networks in many areas,in this paper,we propose a simple yet effective neural network framework, named NEXT,for next POI recommendations.NEXT is a unified framework to learn the hidden intent regarding user's next move,by incorporating different factors in a unified manner.Specifically,in NEXT,we incorporate meta-data information,e.g.,user friendship and textual descriptions of POIs,and two kinds of temporal contexts(i.e.,time interval and visit time). To leverage sequential relations and geographical influence,we propose to adopt DeepWalk,a network representation learning technique,to encode such knowledge. We evaluate the effectiveness of NEXT against other state-of-the-art alternatives and neural networks based solutions.Experimental results on three publicly available datasets demonstrate that NEXT significantly outperforms baselines in real-time next POI recommendations.Further experiments show inherent ability of NEXT in handling cold-start. | Zhiqian ZHANG Chenliang LI Zhiyong WU Aixin SUN Dengpan YE Xiangyang LUO | 2020 | Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,2: | 5
High efficiency generation of tunable ellipse perfect vector beams显示文摘We present a highly efficient method of generating and shaping ellipse perfect vector beams (EPVBs) with a prescribed ellipse intensity profile and continuously variant linear polarization state. The scheme is based on the coaxial superposition of two orthogonally polarized ellipse laser beams of controllable phase vortex serving as the base vector components. The phase-only computer-generated hologram is specifically designed by means of a modified iteration algorithm involving a complex amplitude constraint, which is able to generate an EPVB with high diffraction efficiency in the vector optical field generator. We experimentally demonstrate that the efficiency of generating the EPVB has a notable improvement from 1.83% in the conventional complex amplitude modulation based technique to 11.1% in our method. We also discuss and demonstrate the simultaneous shaping of multiple EPVBs with independent tunable ellipticity and polarization vortex in both transversal (2D) and axial (3D) focusing structures, proving potentials in a variety of polarization-mediated applications such as trapping and transportation of particles in more complex geometric circumstances. | LIN LI CHENLIANG CHANG CAOJIN YUAN SHAOTONG FENG SHOUPING NIE ZHI-CHENG REN HUI-TIAN WANG JIANPING DING | 2018 | Photonics Research2018,6,12: | 5
Event-triggered adaptive control for attitude tracking of spacecraft显示文摘Plug-and-play technology is an important direction for future development of spacecraft and how to design controllers with less communication burden and satisfactory performance is of great importance for plug-and-play spacecraft. Considering attitude tracking of such spacecraft with unknown inertial parameters and unknown disturbances, an event-triggered adaptive backstepping controller is designed in this paper. Particularly, a switching threshold strategy is employed to design the event-triggering mechanism. By introducing a new linear time-varying model, a smooth function, an integrable auxiliary signal and a bound estimation approach, the impacts of the network-induced error and the disturbances are effectively compensated for and Zeno phenomenon is successfully avoided. It is shown that all signals of the closed-loop system are globally uniformly bounded and both the attitude tracking error and the angular velocity tracking error converge to zero. Compared with conventional control schemes, the proposed scheme significantly reduces the communication burden while providing stable and accurate response for attitude maneuvers. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. | Chenliang WANG Yun LI Qinglei HU Jian HUANG | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,2: | 3
Intercalated phases of transition metal dichalcogenides显示文摘Two‐dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)play host to a wide range of novel topological states, such as quantum spin Hall insulators, superconductors, and Weyl semimetals. The rich polymorphism in TMDs suggests that phase engineering can be used to switch between different charge order states.Intercalation of atoms or molecules into the van der Waals gap of TMDs has emerged as a powerful approach to modify the properties of the material, leading to phase transition or the formation of substoichiometric phases via compositional tuning, thus broadening the electronic and optical landscape of these materials for a wide range of applications. Here,we review the current efforts in the preparation of intercalated TMD.The challenges and opportunities for intercalated TMDs to create a new device paradigm for material science are discussed. | Ziying Wang Runlai Li Chenliang Su Kian Ping Loh | 2020 | SmartMat2020,1,1: | 2
Learning-based phase imaging using a low-bit-depth pattern显示文摘Phase imaging always deals with the problem of phase invisibility when capturing objects with existing light sensors. However, there is a demand for multiplane full intensity measurements and iterative propagation process or reliance on reference in most conventional approaches. In this paper,we present an end-to-end compressible phase imaging method based on deep neural networks, which can implement phase estimation using only binary measurements.A thin diffuser as a preprocessor is placed in front of the image sensor to implicitly encode the incoming wavefront information into the distortion and local variation of the generated speckles.Through the trained network, the phase profile of the object can be extracted from the discrete grains distributed in the low-bit-depth pattern. Our experiments demonstrate the faithful reconstruction with reasonable quality utilizing a single binary pattern and verify the high redundancy of the information in the intensity mcasurement for phase recovery. In addition to the advantages of efficiency and simplicity compared to now available imaging methods, our model provides significant compressibility for imaging data and can therefore facilitate the low-cost detection and efficient data transmission. | ZHENYU ZHOU JUN XIA JUN WU CHENLIANG CHANG XI YE SHUGUANG LI BNTAO DU HAO ZHANG GUODONG TONG | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,10: | 2
Observations and computations of narrow Kelvin ship wakes显示文摘Computations of far-field ship waves, based on linear potential flow theory and the Hogner approximation, are reported for monohull ships and catamarans.Specifically,far-field ship waves are computed for six monohull ships at four Froude numbers F≡V/√gL=0.58,0.68,0.86,1.58 and for six catamarans with nondimensional hull spacing s≡S/L=0.25 at two Froude numbers F s≡V/√gS=1 and 2.5.Here,g is the gravitational acceleration,V and L denote the ship speed and length, and S is the separation distance between the twin hulls of a catamaran. The computations show that, although the amplitudes of the waves created by a ship are strongly influenced by the shape of the ship hull,as well known, the ray angles where the largest waves are found are only weakly influenced by the hull shape and indeed are mostly a kinematic feature of the flow around a ship hull.An important practical consequence of this flow feature is that the apparent wake angle of general monohull ships or catamarans(with arbitrarily-shaped hulls)can be estimated, without computations,by means of simple analytical relations;these relations, obtained elsewhere via parametric computations, are given here. Moreover, the influence of the two parameters F s and s that largely determine the ray angles of the dominant waves created by a catamaran is illustrated via computations for three catamarans with hull spacings s=0.2,0.35,0.5 at four Froude numbers F s=1,1.5,2,2.5.These computations confirm that the largest waves created by wide and/or fast catamarans are found at ray angles that only depend on F s(i.e.that do not depend on the hull spacing s)in agreement with an elementary analysis of lateral interference between the dominant waves created by the bows(or sterns)of the twin hulls of a catamaran. The dominant-waves ray angles predicted by the theory of wave-interference effects for monohull ships and catamarans are also compared with the observations of narrow Kelvin ship wakes reported by Rabaud and Moisy, and found to be consistent with these observations. | Francis Noblesse Chenliang Zhang Jiayi He Yi Zhu Chenjun Yang Wei Li | 2016 | Journal of Ocean Engineering and Science2016,1,1: | 1

Adaptive Consensus Quantized Control for a Class of High-Order Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems With Input Hysteresis and Full State Constraints显示文摘For a class of high-order nonlinear multi-agent systems with input hysteresis,an adaptive consensus output-feedback quantized control scheme with full state constraints is investigated. The major properties of the proposed control scheme are:1)According to the different hysteresis input characteristics of each agent in the multi-agent system,a hysteresis quantization inverse compensator is designed to eliminate the influence of hysteresis characteristics on the system while ensuring that the quantized signal maintains the desired value.2)A barrier Lyapunov function is introduced for the first time in the hysteretic multi-agent system.By constructing state constraint control strategy for the hysteretic multi-agent system,it ensures that all the states of the system are always maintained within a predetermined range.3)The designed adaptive consensus output-feedback quantization control scheme allows the hysteretic system to have unknown parameters and unknown disturbance, and ensures that the input signal transmitted between agents is the quantization value, and the introduced quantizer is implemented under the condition that only its sector bound property is required. The stability analysis has proved that all signals of the closed-loop are semi-globally uniformly bounded. The Star Sim hardware-in-the-loop simulation certificates the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive quantized control scheme. | Guoqiang Zhu Haoqi Li Xiuyu Zhang Chenliang Wang Chun-Yi Su Jiangping Hu | 2022 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,9: | 1
Plasma tailoring in WTe_(2)nanosheets for efficiently boosting hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘2D transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)have been considered as promising non-precious electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However, their limited active sites and poor electric conductivity pose a significant hurdle to their HER performance, resulting in a large overpotential. Here,we report the defect engineering in ultrathin tungsten telluride(WTe_(2))nanosheets with semimetal nature to improve hydrogen evolution effectively. We find that the oxygen plasma etching imposes a cutting effect on WTe_(2)nanosheets,resulting in a large number of tungsten vacancies.Particularly, the sample after plasma treatment for 10 min shows a feather-like structure with an overpotential of 251m V at 10 m A/cm~2and a Tafel slope of 94 m V/dec,which is 4 times lower than the Tafel slope of pristine nanosheets.Further first-principles calculations shed light on the evolution of defect-rich WTe_(2)nanosheets and offer rational explanation to their superiority in efficient hydrogen evolution. | Xin Wang Jun Wang Bin Wei Nan Zhang Junyuan Xu Hongwei Miao Lifeng Liu Chenliang Su Ying Li Zhongchang Wang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,19: | 1
Mutual mate choice in the Asiatic toad, Bufo gargarizans, exerts stabilizing selection on body size显示文摘Sexual selection is critical to both reproduction and evolution. The effects of male–male competition and female choice regarding body size have been examined in a large number of taxa, including toad species.Males and females have different optimal reproductive strategies, achieving breeding advantages in discrepant ways.Further, the relative contributions of intra-and inter-sexual size selection vary among species. Thus,to understand the mechanisms affecting mating success,it is important to consider both male–male and male–female interactions simultaneously and elucidate their interrelationship. In this study,we measured body sizes of all mated and unmated individuals in a population of Asiatic toad(Bufo gargarizans)and counted fertilized eggs of several clutches.Based on correlation and regression techniques,we tested for female choice and intra-sexual competition among males relative to body size gradients, and we compared the relative importance of these two processes for mating success. Our results reveal that male–male competition and female choice simultaneously contribute to sexual selection in toads.Furthermore, both interactions are most intense among smaller toads. The synergistic trends of male–male competition and female choice support the mutual mate choice hypothesis and works to stabilize body size in B.gargarizans.Normal distributions of breeding success relative to body size were detected for both sexes, suggesting that medium-sized individuals enjoy a reproductive advantage in the population studied. | Zhenhua Luo Chenliang Li Hui Wang Mian Zhao Qi Gu Zhirong Gu Chunlin Liao Hua Wu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,1: | 1
Promoting near-infrared photocatalytic activity of carbon-doped carbon nitride via solid alkali activation显示文摘Ultrabroad spectral absorption is required for semiconductor photocatalysts utilized for solar-to-chemical energy conversion. The light response range can be extended by element doping, but the photocatalytic performance is generally not enhanced correspondingly. Here we present a solid alkali activation strategy to synthesize near-infrared(NIR)light-activated carbon-doped polymeric carbon nitride(A-cPCN)by combining the copolymerization of melamine and 1,3,5-trimesic acid. The prepared A-cPCN is highly crystalline with a narrowed bandgap and enhanced efficiency in the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes.Under irradiation with NIR light(780 nm≥λ≥700 nm),A-cPCN shows an excellent photocatalytic activity for H_(2)generation from water with rate of 165µmol g^(−1)h^(−1),and the photo-redox activity for H_(2)O_(2)production(109µmol g^(−1)h^(−1))from H_(2)O and O_(2),whereas no observed photocatalytic activity over pure PCN.The NIR photocatalytic activity is due to carbon doping, which leads to the formation of an interband level, and the alkali activation that achieved shrinking the transfer distance of photocarriers. The current synergistic strategy may open insights to fabricate other carbon-nitrogen-based photocatalysts for enhanced solar energy capture and conversion. | Qingfeng Li Can Ren Chuntian Qiu Tingchao He Qitao Zhang Xiang Ling Yangsen Xu Chenliang Su | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,11: | 1
Direct laser writing breaking diffraction barrier based on two-focus parallel peripheralphotoinhibition lithography显示文摘Direct laser writing(DLW)enables arbitrary three-dimensional nanofabrication. However, the diffraction limit poses a major obstacle for realizing nanometer-scale features.Furthermore,it is challenging to improve the fabrication efficiency using the currently prevalent single-focal-spot systems, which cannot perform high-throughput lithography. To overcome these challenges,a parallel peripheral-photoinhibition lithography system with a sub-40-nm two-dimensional feature size and a sub-20-nm suspended line width was developed in our study, based on two-photon polymerization DLW.The lithography efficiency of the developed system is twice that of conventional systems for both uniform and complex structures. The proposed system facilitates the realization of portable DLW with a higher resolution and throughput. | Dazhao Zhu Liang Xu Chenliang Ding Zhenyao Yang Yiwei Qiu Chun Cao Hongyang He Jiawei Chen Mengbo Tang Lanxin Zhan Xiaoyi Zhang Qiuyuan Sun Chengpeng Ma Zhen Wei Wenjie Liu Xiang Fu Cuifang Kuang Haifeng Li Xu Liu | 2022 | Advanced Photonics2022,4,6: | 1
Novel structural annotation and functional expression analysis of GTP_EFTU conserved genes in pepper based on the PacBio sequencing data显示文摘Genes containing GTP_EFTU domain mainly express elongation factors(EF),Small GTPases, and GTP-binding proteins, which are closely related to protein synthesis, extension and ATP synthesis. In this study,we identified 39 genes containing GTP_EFTU domains from peppers. The evolutionary trees constructed from capsicum,Arabidopsis, rice, and tomato are mainly divided into 7 subfamilies.Using PacBio(Pacific Biosciences)sequencing and assembly data,we extracted these 39 gene sequences, fromwhich 25 genes had alternative splicing.Particularly, the Capana08g000545 had 16 alternative splicing processes.Accordingly,we performed promoter sequence analysis, subcellular location prediction, the expression analysis of different tissues and periods, and also the GO(Gene ontology)analysis of co-expressed genes.Lastly we did the qRTPCR analysis in 5 stages of pepper fruit development. These analyses revealed important structural and functional information for the identified 39 genes that contain GTP_EFTU domains, providing important references for further follow-up experiments to verify the genes function on plants or their unique roles in peppers. | Bingqian Tang Lingling Xie Xuefeng Li Huiping Yang Yi Liu Xiang Cheng Chenliang Liang Juan Chen Shudong Zhou Duanhua Wang Jingyuan Zheng Xiongze Dai Xuexiao Zou Feng Liu | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5: | 1
