| 1 | Effect of Liuweibuqi capsule, a Chinese patent medicine, on the JAK1/STAT3 pathway and MMP9/TIMP1 in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease rat model显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe effect of Liuweibuqi Capsule, a Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), on the janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) pathway and matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) in a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) rat model with lung deficiency in terms of TCM's pattern differentiation.METHODS: Rats were randomly divided into a normal group, model group, Liuweibuqi group, Jinshuibao group, and spleen aminopeptidase group(n=10). Aside from the normal group, all rats were ex-posed to smoke plus lipopolysaccharide tracheal instillation to establish the COPD model with lung deficiency. Models were established after 28 days and then the normal and model groups were given normal saline(0.09 g/kg), Liuweibuqi group was given Liuweibuqi capsule(0.35 g/kg), Jinshuibao group was given Jinshuibao capsules(0.495 g/kg), and the spleen group was given spleen aminopeptidase(0.33 mg/kg), once a day for 30 days. Changes in symptoms, signs, and lung histology were observed. Lung function was measured with a spirometer. Serum cytokines were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and changes in the JAK/STAT pathway, MMP-9, and MMPs inhibitor1(TIMP1) were detected by immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, and western blotting, respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, lung tissue was damaged, and lung function was reduced in the model control group. Additionally, the levels of interleukin(IL)-1β, γ interferon(IFN-γ), and IL-6 were higher, while IL-4 and IL-10 were lower in the model control group than those in the normal group. The expressions of JAK1, STAT3, p-STAT3,and MMP-9 m RNA and protein in lung tissue were higher, and TIMP1 m RNA and protein was lower in the model group compared with the normal group.After treatment, compared with the model group,the expression of inflammatory cytokines was lower in each treatment group, and expressions of JAK/STAT pathway, MMPs were lower. | 3 | ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar geochronology constraints on hydrocarbon accumulation and destruction periods in the Bankeng paleo-reservoir in the southern margin of the middle Yangtze block显示文摘The exact determination of isotopic ages of hydrocarbon accumulation,reconstruction and destruction periods using traditional isotopic dating methods is complex because of the small numbers of minerals that correlate with hydrocarbons.The quantitative and direct study of hydrocarbon geochronology is therefore an important scientific problem for isotope geochronology and petroleum geology.This study obtains two isotopic ages from a quartz vein sample associated with bitumen in a reverse fault located in the Bankeng paleo-reservoir on the southern margin of the middle Yangtze block (the northern margin of the JiangnanXuefeng uplift) by inclusion 40Ar/39Ar stepwise crushing in a vacuum.Two different and good linear inverse isochrons that correspond to two age plateaus were determined.The two ages correspond to primary inclusions of about 228 Ma and secondary inclusions of about 149 Ma.These inclusion groups represent two distinct kinds of fluids.Quartz veins associated with bitumen in faulted paleo-reservoirs,which have a strict response relationship with tectonization and hydrocarbon accumulation,are the unified products of tectonic processes,hydrocarbon accumulation and reconstruction.Therefore,they can be used to constrain the hydrocarbon accumulation,reconstruction and destruction periods that are controlled by multiphase and complicated tectonic actions.The evolutionary processes of hydrocarbon accumulation can be divided into two periods consisting of a primary oil and gas reservoir formation period in the late Indosinian epoch (about 228 Ma) and a period of oil and gas reservoir reconstruction in the early Yanshan epoch (about 149 Ma).This study quantitatively reconstructs the hydrocarbon accumulation and destruction chronological framework of a giant hydrocarbon accumulation belt along the southern margin of the middle Yangtze block (the northern margin of the Jiangnan-Xuefeng uplift) controlled by multiphase and complicated tectonism.The two ages associated with hydrocarbons here correspond to the special controlling actions of continental tectonics in the Jiangnan-Xuefeng uplift that affected the timeline of reconstruction and destruction in this giant marine hydrocarbon accumulation.This study shows the feasibility and usefulness of dating inclusions with the 40Ar/39Ar technique for hydrocarbon geochronology,especially in the marine hydrocarbon accumulation region of southern China within a geological setting of old strata,high thermal evolution hydrocarbons,and complex,multiphase and multicycle tectonization. | LIU ZhaoQian MEI LianFu QIU HuaNing SHEN ChuanBo TANG JiGuang YUN JianBing | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,26: | 7 |
| 4 | Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration of retropharyngeal lymph nodes after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a novel technique for accurate diagnosis显示文摘Background:Enlarged retropharyngeal lymph nodes(RLNs)are very common in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)undergoing radiotherapy.The most suitable treatment option for enlarged RLNs depends on the pathological results.However,RLN sampling is difficult and imminent in the clinic setting.We recently developed a novel minimally invasive technique termed endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)for sam-pling RLN tissues sufficient for pathological or cytological diagnosis.Methods:We enrolled 30 post-radiotherapy patients with NPC with suspected RLN metastasis detected via mag-netic resonance imaging(MRI).The EUS probe was introduced into the nasopharynx via the nostrils,and EUS was then used to scan the retropharyngeal space and locate the RLN in the anterior carotid sheath.EUS-FNA was subsequently performed.The safety and efficacy of using EUS-FNA to sample the RLN tissues were assessed.Results:Strips of tissue were successfully sampled from all patients using EUS-FNA.Of the 30 patients,23 were confirmed to have cancer cells in the biopsied tissues via pathology or cytology examinations with 1 EUS-FNA biopsy session.The seven cases without confirmed cancer cells were subsequently reanalyzed by using another EUS-FNA biopsy session,and two more cases were confirmed possessing cancer cells.The other five patients without con-firmed cancer cells were closely followed with MRI every month for 3 months.After follow-up for 3 months,three patients were still considered cancer-free due to the presence of RLNs with stable or shrinking diameters.The rest two patients who showed progressive disease underwent a third EUS-FNA biopsy procedure and were further confirmed to be cancer cell-positive.In the whole cohort reported here,the EUS-FNA procedure was not associated with any severe complications.Conclusion:EUS-FNA is a safe and effective diagnostic approach for sampling tissues from the RLNs in patients with suspected recurrent NPC. | Long-Jun He Chuanbo Xie Yin Li Lin-Na Luo Ke Pan Xiao-Yan Gao Li-Zhi Liu Jian-Ming Gao Guang-Yu Luo Hong-Bo Shan Ming-Yuan Chen Chong Zhao Wei-Jun Fan Ping Yang Guo-Liang Xu Jian-Jun Li | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 3 |

| 7 | Multi-centric clinical study of the effect of intervention time on efficacy of gastroparesis external application prescription treatment of gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis显示文摘Objective:This intervention has been shown to be clinically efficacious and safe.The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different intervention times on the efficacy of gastroparesis external application prescription versus placebo for the treatment of gastrointestinal tumor postoperative,postsurgical gastroparesis.Methods:A multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo controlled phaseⅢclinical trial was designed to demonstrate superiority and conducted at four grade 3A hospitals in Beijing.Patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis and local cold syndrome in the abdomen were enrolled and received conventional treatment(nutritional support,gastrointestinal decompression,and prokinetic medication).Treatment and control groups respectively received gastroparesis external application prescription or placebo acupoint application over a treatment course of 14 days or until the primary efficacy endpoint(clinical efficiency)was achieved.Results:A total of 120 patients were enrolled in the treatment and control groups(n Z 60 per group),and 15 patients dropped out of the study because of skin allergies(n Z 7)or poor efficacy(nZ8).The efficacy among patients in Class B of Group A(treatment group)was marginally better than that of Group B(control group)(64.28%vs.55.56%)although the difference between the two groups was not significant.However,the efficacy among patients in Class C of Group A was significantly better than that of Group B(79.49%vs.43.33%).For Group A,the time for patients in the three classes to achieve the efficacy endpoint increased significantly with disease progression(3.00,6.78,and 8.29 days for Class A,B,and C,respectively).Conclusions:Gastroparesis external application prescription can effectively treat gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis and may be more efficacious in progressive disease compared placebo.Patients with gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis should therefore undergo intervention at an earlier stage. | Qin Zhou Minghuan Zuo Yantao Tian Yanbin Wang Yingjiang Ye Chao An Tian Zhou Chuanbo Liu Kaiwen Hu Quanwang Li | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2016,3,4: | 2 |
| 8 | Recent progress in GeSn growth and GeSn-based photonic devices显示文摘The GeSn binary alloy is a new group Ⅳ material that exhibits a direct bandgap when the Sn content exceeds 6%. It shows great potential for laser use in optoelectronic integration circuits(OEIC) on account of its low light emission efficiency arising from the indirect bandgap characteristics of Si and Ge. The bandgap of GeSn can be tuned from 0.6 to 0 eV by varying the Sn content, thus making this alloy suitable for use in near-infrared and mid-infrared detectors. In this paper, the growth of the GeSn alloy is first reviewed. Subsequently, GeSn photodetectors, light emitting diodes, and lasers are discussed. | 10 | High gain-bandwidth product Ge/Si tunneling avalanche photodiode with high-frequency tunneling effect显示文摘This study presents a theoretical investigation of a novel Ge/Si tunneling avalanche photodiode(TAPD)with an ultra-thin barrier layer between the absorption and p+ contact layer. A high-frequency tunneling effect is introduced into the structure of the barrier layer to increase the high-frequency response when frequency is larger than 0.1 GHz, and the-3 dB bandwidth of the device increases evidently. The results demonstrate that the avalanche gain and-3 dB bandwidth of the TAPD can be influenced by the thickness and bandgap of the barrier layer.When the barrier thickness is 2 nm and the bandgap is 4.5 eV, the avalanche gain loss is negligible and the gainbandwidth product of the TAPD is 286 GHz, which is 18% higher than that of an avalanche photodiode without a barrier layer. | 12 | OPTIMAL CONTROL OF NONLINEAR VIBRATION RESONANCES OF SINGLE-WALLED NANOTUBE BEAMS显示文摘An optimal time-delay feedback control method is provided to mitigate the primary resonance of a single-walled carbon nanotube(SWCNT) subjected to a Lorentz force excited by a longitudinal magnetic field. The nonlinear governing equations of motion for the SWCNT under longitudinal magnetic field are derived and the modulation equations are obtained by using the method of multiple scales. The regions of the stable feedback gain are worked out by using the stability conditions of eigenvalue equation. Taking the attenuation ratio as the objective function and the stable vibration regions as constrained conditions, the optimal control parameters are worked out by using minimum optimal method. The optimal controllers are designed to control the dynamic behaviors of the nonlinear vibration systems. | 14 | Customizable Ligand Exchange for Tailored Surface Property of Noble Metal Nanocrystals显示文摘It is highly desirable,while still challenging,to obtain noble metal nanocrystals with custom capping ligands,because their colloidal synthesis relies on specific capping ligands for the shape control while conventional ligand exchange processes suffer from“the strong replaces the weak”limitation,which greatly hinders their applications.Herein,we report a general and effective ligand exchange approach that can replace the native capping ligands of noble metal nanocrystals with virtually any type of ligands,producing flexibly tailored surface properties.The key is to use diethylamine with conveniently switchable binding affinity to the metal surface as an intermediate ligand.As a strong ligand,it in its original form can effectively remove the native ligands;while protonated,it loses its binding affinity and facilitates the adsorption of new ligands,especially weak ones,onto the metal surface.By this means,the irreversible order in the conventional ligand exchange processes could be overcome.The efficacy of the strategy is demonstrated by mutual exchange of the capping ligands among cetyltrimethylammonium,citrate,polyvinylpyrrolidone,and oleylamine.This novel strategy significantly expands our ability to manipulate the surface property of noble metal nanocrystals and extends their applicability to a wide range of fields,particularly biomedical applications. | Qikui Fan Hao Yang Juan Ge Shumeng Zhang Zhaojun Liu Bo Lei Tao Cheng Youyong Li Yadong Yin Chuanbo Gao | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 1 |
| 15 | Research progress of Ge on insulator grown by rapid melting growth显示文摘Ge is an attractive material for Si-based microelectronics and photonics due to its high carries mobility,pseudo direct bandgap structure, and the compatibility with complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS)processes. Based on Ge, Ge on insulator(GOI) not only has these advantages, but also provides strong electronic and optical confinement. Recently, a novel technique to fabricate GOI by rapid melting growth(RMG) has been described. Here, we introduce the RMG technique and review recent efforts and progress in RMG. Firstly, we will introduce process steps of RMG. We will then review the researches which focus on characterizations of the GOI including growth dimension, growth mechanism, growth orientation, concentration distribution, and strain status.Finally, GOI based applications including high performance metal–oxide–semiconductor field effect transistors(MOSFETs) and photodetectors will be discussed. These results show that RMG is a promising technique for growth of high quality GOIs with different characterizations. | 16 | Preparation of Thermal Insulation Ceramics Using Felsic Tailings as Main Raw Material and Soda-ash Dregs as Flux显示文摘Low-cost thermal insulation porous ceramics with uniform pore diameter and low bulk density were prepared with soda-ash dregs and felsic tailings.We investigated the effect of temperature,foaming agent,fluxing agent,Al_(2)O_(3)and CaO content on the pore structure and crystal phase of porous ceramics.The effect of Ca^(2+)in soda-ash dregs on the preparation of quartz-feldspar based porous ceramics was studied.The results showed that the contribution of Ca^(2+)to the preparation of porous ceramics in this system was mainly to accelerate the Si-O bond fracture and reduce the sintering temperature at the initial stage of sintering,which destroyed the needle-like feldspar in the high temperature melt and reduced the melt viscosity,thus reduced the foaming resistance and promoted the porous products with uniform pore size distribution.The Ca^(2+)content on the high side can participate in the formation of crystals in sintering.The generated needle-like diopside and augite,which have small length-diameter ratio,will negligibly change in the viscosity of melt at high temperatures,and their inhibition effect on pores is not as good as that of feldspar with large length-diameter ratio,resulting in the merger and collapse of pores.But the increase of diopside and augite can improve the compressive strength of porous products to some extent.Porous ceramic products containing needle-like feldspar phase can be prepared by using two kinds of solid waste,which can improve the compressive strength of the products and reduce the raw material cost and energy consumption while comprehensively utilizing the double solid waste.The optimal product has a bulk density of 0.45 g/cm^(3),a compressive strength of 3.17 MPa,and a thermal conductivity of 0.11 W/(m·K). | 王志明 YAO Geng WANG Qiang ZHU Xiangnan QU Meiyun ZHAO Wei LIU Qing SUN Shaokang XIA Chuanbo 吕宪俊 | 2023 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2023,38,1: | 0 |

| 18 | High-gravity technology intensified Knoevenagel condensation-Michael addition polymerization of poly (ethylene glycol)-poly (n-butyl cyanoacrylate) for blood-brain barrier delivery显示文摘Poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(n-butyl cyanoacrylate)(PEG-PBCA)is a remarkable drug delivery carrier for permeating blood-brain barrier.In this work,a novel high-gravity procedure was reported to intensify Knoevenagel condensation-Michael addition polymerization of PEG-PBCA.A series of PEG-PBCA containing different block ratios were synthesized with narrow molecular weight distribution of polydispersity indexes less than 1.1.Furthermore,the reaction time reduced 60%compared to conventional stirred tank reactor process.Chemical structures of as-prepared polymers were characterized.In vitro drug delivery performance was evaluated.The cytotoxicity of PEG-PBCA to brain microvessel endothelial cells(BMVEC)decreases with the extension of the PEG chain and the shortening of the PBCA chain.The polymer cellular uptake to BMVECs was better after improving hydrophilicity by PEG block.Results of bloodbrain barrier permeability demonstrated that medium length of PBCA chain and short PEG chain are favorable for hydrophobic Nile red permeation,while long PEG chain and short PBCA chain are beneficial to delivery water-soluble doxorubicin hydrochloride(Dox).The average apparent permeability coeffi-cient increased 1.7 and 0.25 times than that of raw Nile red and Dox,respectively.High-gravity intensi-fied condensation polymerization should have great potential in brain drug delivery system. | Xingzheng Liu Chuanbo Fu Manting Wang Jiexin Wang Haikui Zou Yuan Le Jianfeng Chen | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6: | 0 |
