1Integrative lipidomic and transcriptomic study unravels the therapeutic effects of saikosaponins A and D on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has become one of the most prominent causes of chronic liver diseases and malignancies.However,few therapy has been approved.Radix Bupleuri(RB)is the most frequently used herbal medicine for the treatment of liver diseases.In the current study,we aim to systemically evaluate the therapeutic effects of saikosaponin A(SSa)and saikosaponin D(SSd),the major bioactive monomers in RB,against NAFLD and to investigate the underlying mechanisms.Our results demonstrated that both SSa and SSd improved diet-induced NAFLD.Integrative lipidomic and transcriptomic analysis revealed that SSa and SSd modulated glycerolipid metabolism by regulating related genes,like Lipe and Lipg.SSd profoundly suppressed the fatty acid biosynthesis by downregulating Fasn and Acaca expression and promoted fatty acid degradation by inducing Acox1 and Cpt1 a expression.Bioinformatic analysis further predicted the implication of master transcription factors,including peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPARα),in the protective effects of SSa and SSd.These results were further confirmed in vitro in mouse primary hepatocytes.In summary,our study uncoded the complicated mechanisms underlying the promising anti-steatosis activities of saikosaponins(SSs),and provided critical evidence inspiring the discovery of innovative therapies based on SSa and SSd for the treatment of NAFLD and related complications.Xiaojiaoyang Li Junde Ge Yajing Li Yajie Cai Qi Zheng Nana Huang Yiqing Gu Qi Han Yunqian Li Rong Sun Runping Liu 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,11:15

4Laser dissimilar welding of CoCrFeMnNi-high entropy alloy and duplex stainless steel显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs)have superior mechanical properties that have enabled them to be used as structural materials in nuclear and aerospace applications.As a dissimilar joint design is required for these applications,we created a dissimilar joint between CoCrFeMnNi-HEA and duplex stainless steel(DSS)through laser beam welding;a technique capable of producing a sound joint between the two materials.Micro structure examination using SEM/EBSD/XRD analysis revealed that the weld metal(WM)exhibits an FCC phase regardless of the postweld heat treatment(PWHT)temperature(800 and 1000℃)without forming detrimental intermetallic compounds or microsegregation.The heat-affected zone of the CoCrFeMnNi-HEA showed CrMn oxide inclusions while that of the DSS showed no inclusions.Moreover,a lower hardness was recorded by the WM compared to the base metal after welding.After PWHT,the hardness of the WM,CoCrFeMnNi-HEA,and DSS decreased with an increase in the PWHT temperature.However,the decrease in the hardness of the HEA was more significant than in the WM and DSS.The cause for this reduction in hardness was attributed to recrystallization and grain growth.In addition,a strength of 584 MPa with low ductility was recorded after welding.The obtained strength was lower than that of the BMs,but comparable to that of the welded CoCrFeMnNi-HEA.The application of PWHT resulted in over a 20%increment in ductility,with only a marginal reduction in strength.The defo rmation mechanism in the as-weld joint was mainly dominated by dislocation while that for the PWHT joint was twinning.We propose laser beam offset welding as a technique to improve the mechanical properties of the dissimilar joint,which will be the subject of future studies.Nana Kwabena Adomako Giseung Shin Nokeun Park Kyoungtae Park Jeoung Han Kim 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,26:6
5Janus electrode with simultaneous management on gas and liquid transport for boosting oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Oxygen reduction efficiency holds the key for renewable energy technologies including fuel cells and metal-air batteries,which involves coupling diffusion-reaction-conduction processes at the interface of catalyst/electrolyte,and thus rational electrode design facilitating mass transportation stands as a key issue for fast oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,we report a Janus electrode with asymmetric wettability prepared by partly modifying aerophobic nitrogen doped carbon nanotube arrays with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)as a high performance catalytic electrode for ORR.The Janus electrode with opposite wettability on adjacent sides maintains stable gas reservoir in the aerophilic side while shortening O2 pathway to catalysts in the aerophobic side,resulting in superior ORR performance(22.5 mA/cm^2@0.5 V)than merely aerophilic or aerophilic electrodes.The Janus electrode endows catalytic performance even comparable to commercial,Pt/C in the alkali ne electrolyte,exploiting a previously unrecognized opport unity that guides electrode design for the gas-consumption electrocatalysis.Yingjie Li Haichuan Zhang Nana Han Yun Kuang Junfeng Liu Wen Liu Haohong Duan Xiaoming Sun 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:4

7Microbial diversity and functionally distinct groups in produced water from the Daqing Oilfield,China显示文摘The microbial community structure and functionally distinct groups in three kinds of produced water samples from the shallow,mesothermic and low-salinity Daqing oil reservoir were systematically evaluated using both culture-dependent and culture-independent methods.Sequence analysis of the 16S rRNA genes indicated that the bacterial library was dominated by Acinetobacter and Arcobacter and the archaeal community was dominated by Methanosaeta and Methanolinea.Two isolated methanogens were closely related with Methanothermobacter thermautotrophicus and Methanoculleus receptaculi.The fermentative bacteria were identified as Pseudomonas,Haloanaerobium,Alcalibacter,Arcobacter,and Pannonibacter.The predominant nitrate-reducing bacteria fell within the genus Pseudomonas.The dominant members of the cultured hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria were phylogenetically associated with Micrococcus,Pseudomonas,and Bacillus.Enrichments of biosurfactants and biopolymer producing groups mainly yielded Pseudomonas,Bacillus,and Acenitobacter-related members.The functional groups related to polymer degradation were also affiliated with Pseudomonas and Bacillus.Results from this study provide the fresh insight into the diversity of microbial communities in Daqing petroleum reservoirs.The vast pool of functional strains retrieved in this study was presumed to include the promising strains that could be applied in microbial-enhanced oil recovery in future.Li Hui Ai Mingqiang Han Siqin Guo Yanling Li Nana Shi Rongjiu Zeng Xiangling Leng Shengbing Zhao Jinyi Liu Xiaobo Zhang Ying 2012Petroleum Science2012,9,4:3
8Highly efficient and stable solar-powered desalination by tungsten carbide nanoarray film with sandwich wettability显示文摘Solar-powered desalination is a promising way to resolve the worldwide water crisis for its low con- sumption and simple facility. Considering the fragility and aggregations of traditional materials, which may decrease efficiency, we herein introduce a robust tungsten carbide (WC) nanoarray film as a stable and efficient photothermal material, whose absorption is over 97.5% throughout almost the whole solar spectrum range (220–2200 nm) due to nanoarray structure and thus enhanced localized surface plasmon resonance. Besides, for the first time, we modified the film with sandwich wettability. It accelerates evap- oration by reducing water’s reflection of light, enlarging hydrophobic-hydrophilic boundaries, and depressing heat dissipation. 9Development and validation of a TaqMan^(TM) fluorescent quantitative real-time PCR assay for the rapid detection of Edwardsiella tarda显示文摘Edwardsiella tarda is one of the most important emerging pathogens in the global aquaculture industries. As such, an accurate diagnosis and quantitative analytical methods are urgently needed for this bacterium. In this study, primers and a TaqMan probe specific to the conservative sequences of the 16S rRNA gene of E. tarda were designed. The concentration of primers and TaqMan probe were optimized to 200 nmol/L and 120 nmol/L, respectively. The detection sensitivity of the FQ-PCR assay was determined to be as low as five copies of the target sequence per reaction using the pGEM-16S rDNA recombinant plasmid as a template, which was 100 times more sensitive than conventional PCR. A standard curve by plotting the threshold cycle values (y) against the common logarithmic copies (log_10 n_c as x; n_c is copy number) of pGEM-16S rDNA was generated. The results of intra-and inter-assay variability tests demonstrate that the established FQ-PCR method was highly reproducible. The assay was specific for E. tarda as it showed that there was no cross-reactivity to eight additional bacterial pathogen strains in aquaculture. 11Phenylfluorenamine-functionalized poly(N-vinylcarbazole)s as dopant-free polymer hole-transporting materials for inverted quasi-2D perovskite solar cells显示文摘In order to improve the efficiency and stability of inverted three-dimensional(3D) or quasi-2D perovskite solar cells(PSCs) for future commercialization, exploring high efficient dopant-free polymer holetransporting materials(HTMs) is still desired and meaningful. One simple and efficient way to achieve high performance dopant-free HTMs is to synthesize novel non-conjugated side-chain polymers via rational molecular design. In this work, N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-9,9-dimethyl-9H-fluoren-2-amine(FMeNPh) groups are introduced into the poly(N-vinylcarbazole)(PVK) side chains to afford two nonconjugated polymers PVCz-DFMeNPh and PVCz-FMeNPh as dopant-free HTMs in inverted quasi-2D PSCs. Benefited from the flexible properties of polyethylene backbone and excellent optoelectronic natures of FMeNPh side-chain groups, PVCz-DFMeNPh with more FMeNPh units exhibited excellent thermal stability, well-matched energy levels and improved charge mobility as compared to PTAA and PVCzFMeNPh. Moreover, the morphologies investigation of quasi-2D perovskite on PVCz-DFMeNPh shows more compact and homogeneous perovskite films than those on PTAA and PVCz-FMeNPh. As a result,the dopant-free PVCz-DFMeNPh based inverted quasi-2D PSCs deliver power conversion efficiency(PCE) up to 18.44% as well as negligible hysteresis and favorable long-term stability, which represents as excellent performance reported to date for inverted quasi-2D PSCs. 17Effects of Dispersive Agent and Alumina Micropowder on Workability of Al_2O_3-MgO Castables for Steel Ladles显示文摘This work aims at enhancing the workability of Al2 O3-Mg O castables. Al2 O3-Mg O castables were prepared using tabular alumina particles( 5-3,3-1,≤1 mm),tabular alumina fines( ≤0. 088 mm),fused magnesia( ≤1 mm),reactive alumina micropowder( PFR40,PBR,and CL) and calcined alumina micropowder( AC34 B5 and CT) as the main starting materials,calcium aluminate cement( Secar71) as the binder,and polycarboxylic acid water reducer WS,FS,and AD as the dispersive agent,respectively. Effects of three dispersive agents addition( 0. 4 mass% WS,0. 2 mass% FS and 1 mass% AD),two kinds of reactive alumina micropowder addition( PFR40 and PBR),composite alumina micropowder addition( PFR40-AC34 B5 and CL-CT,the mass ratio from 9/0 to 3/6)on the flow value,apparent porosity,bulk density,cold crushing strength and cold modulus of rupture of Al2 O3-MgO castables were investigated. 19Propagation characteristics of low-frequency axisymmetric waves in fluid-filled pipes embedded in the viscoelastic medium显示文摘The propagation characteristics of the low-frequency axisymmetric waves in buried fluid-filled pipes are investigated theoretically,based on the Kennard thin-walled shell equations,the Helmholtz equation,and the Kelvin-Voigt linear viscoelastic model.Analytic expressions of the phase velocity are derived for both the fluid-dominated wave and the shell-compressed wave under lubricated contact,via considering the surrounding soil as a viscoelastic medium.The dispersion and attenuation curves of the two wave types are obtained and verified numerically.The ratio of the radial pipe wall displacements is analyzed,with particular emphasis on the effects of the thickness-to-radius ratio and the quality factor on the dispersion and attenuation characteristics of the fluid-dominated wave.The results show that the viscoelastic property has slight effects on the phase velocities of the two wave types,but it influences the attenuation severely.The fluid-dominated wave influences the radial pipe wall displacement significantly and is the primary carrier of leakage noise energy;its phase velocity increases as a function of the thickness-to-radius ratio while the attenuation decreases.It also shows that the dispersion and attenuation of the fluid-dominated wave decrease as a function of the quality factor.The work will provide insights and guidance for the leakage detection of buried fluid-filled pipes.QIAN Jiawen HAN Qingbang SU Nana BAI Le QIAN Xintong 2022Chinese Journal of Acoustics2022,41,3:0
20High-temperature ferromagnetic metallic phase in LaMnO_(3)/Sr_(3)Al_(2)O_(6)heterostructure显示文摘To achieve a flexible single-crystal multifunctional membrane,the freestanding process of a rigid epitaxial transition metal oxide thin film via a buffered water-dissolution sacrificial layer has attracted reasonable attentions.Owing to the difference in chemical potential,specific element affinity,and lattice constant between the target membrane and the sacrificial layer,the freestanding process may cause an indelible change of physics property once the target thin film is sensitive to the above factors.Here,the heterostructures composed of the generally adopted sacrificial layer Sr_(3)Al_(2)O_(6)(SAO)and LaMnO_(3)(LMO)have been systematically investigated.The electrical and magnetic properties of LMO show extreme sensitivity to the thickness of SAO(tSAO).Then we have also found that LMO/SAO heterostructures can exhibit the coexistence of two ferromagnetic phases,the significantly enhanced Curie temperature~342 K,and the large magnetoresistance-23.3%at 300 K,which is similar to the optimal-doped manganite such as La_(2/3)Sr_(1/3)MnO_(3).X-ray diffraction results show that continuously tunable strain from out-of-plane tension to relaxation and then to compression can be generated by adjusting tSAO.This strain can stabilize the migrated oxygen from LMO to SAO,which is induced by the large oxygen affinity difference between Bsite Mn and Al.It is believed that these unexpected electrical/magnetic phenomena are originated from the combined effects of interfacial element diffusion and strain.Our study provides a strategy for designing new magnetic phases,and a reference for the fundamental understanding of strongly correlated transition metal oxide systems in the freestanding process.Di Wang Bin He Jinrui Guo Qixiang Wang Chaoqun Shi Yue Han Hong Fang Jie Wang Nana Zhang Peng Zhang Yanan Chen Changwen Zhang Weiming Lü Shishen Yan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,24:0
