1The immunotherapeutic effect of dendritic cells vaccine modified with interleukin-18 gene and tumor cell lysate on mice with pancreatic carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To estimate the effect of a therapeutic vaccine against pancreatic carcinoma based on dendritic cell(DC)vaccine modified with tumor lysate and Interleukin-18 gene.METHODS:The BALB/C mice model of pancreatic arcinoma was induced with DMBA,DCvaccine was construted through pulsed with tumor lysate and transfected by the recombinant adenoviral vector encoding IL-18gene.The immnotherapeutic effects of DC vaccine on mice with pancreatic carcinoma were assessed (divided intoD-IL18-Lysate group,DC-Lysate group,DC-IL18 group,DC group,PBSgroup).RESULTS:After vaccination of the DC vaccine,the concentration of IL-18and IFN-γwere 2161±439ng·L^-1and435±72ng·L^-1inDC-IL18-Lysate group and there was significant difference compared with other groups(P<0.01)After vaccination of the DCcvaccine,the transplanted tumors were observed on 30days inDC-Lysate groups.on 16daysinDC-IL18groups.on3days in control group,but mice remained tumor-free for at least50days in DC-IL18-Lysate group and there was significant difference between DC-IL18-Lysate group and other groups(P<0.01).The median survival exceeds62days in DC-IL18-Lysate group.But the medsian surival was 48.6days in DC-Lysate group,33days in DC-IL-18group,17days in PBSgroup.The survival period was obviously prolonged in DC-IL18-Lysate group than in other groups(P<0.05,P<0.01).The weight of pancreatic tumor was0.22±0.083ginDC-IL18-Lysate group,1.45±0.74ginDC-Lysate group,1.89±1.34gin DC-IL18group,3.0±1.6ginDCgroup,2.9±2.0ginPBSgroup and the weight of tumor obviously reduced in DC-IL-18-Lysate group than in other groups(P<0.05,P<0.01).CONCLUSION:DC vaccine modified with tumo lysate and Interleukin-18gene can induce a specific and effective immune response against pancreatic cancinoma,cell.Zhao-Hui Tang Gao-Song Wu Sheng-Quan Zou Fa-Zhu Qiu Department of Surgery of Tong Ji Hospital Wen-Hong Qiu Department of immunology,Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan 430030,Hubei Province,China Xiang-Ping Yang Department of Biochemistry,Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochschule(RWTH),D-52074 Aachen,Germany 2002World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,5:37
2Application of P507 and isooctanol extraction system in recovery of scandium from simulated red mud leach solution显示文摘The current recovery technique of Sc was complicated and the chemical consumption was high,This was due to the low content of Sc in resources and the difficulty of stripping.In this research,the isooctanol was added into the 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester(P507)extraction system to reduce the extraction and improve the stripping of Sc.The maximum stripping ratio of Sc from loaded organic phase by sulfuric acid can increase from 10%(without isooctanol)to 99%(with 15 vol%isooctanol).In the extraction test of the simulated red mud leaching liquor,the separation factors between Sc and Zr,Sc and Ti are 36 and 350,separately.At the same time,other metals are almost not extracted.The high selectivity and stripping of Sc suggest that the P507 with isooctanol extraction system can be applied in the practical Sc recovery process.Chuanying Liu Li Chen Ji Chen Dan Zou Yuefeng Deng Deqian Li 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9:22

4PERSPECTIVES IN MECHANICS OF HETEROGENEOUS SOLIDS显示文摘The Microand Nano-mechanics Working Group of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics organized a forum to discuss the perspectives,trends,and directions in mechanics of heterogeneous materials in January 2010.The international journal,Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica,is devoted to all fields of solid mechanics and relevant disciplines in science,technology,and engineering,with a balanced coverage on analytical,experimental,numerical and applied investigations.On the occasion of the 30 th anniversary of Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica,its editor-in-chief,Professor Q.S.Zheng invited some of the forum participants to review the state-of-the-art of mechanics of heterogeneous solids,with a particular emphasis on the recent research development results of Chinese scientists.Their reviews are organized into five research areas as reported in different sections of this paper.§I firstly brings in focus on microand nano-mechanics,with regards to several selective topics,including multiscale coupled models and computational methods,nanocrystal superlattices,surface effects,micromechanical damage mechanics,and microstructural evolution of metals and shape memory alloys.§II shows discussions on multifield coupled mechanical phenomena,e.g.,multi-fields actuations of liquid crystal polymer networks,mechanical behavior of materials under radiations,and micromechanics of heterogeneous materials.In §III,we mainly address the multiscale mechanics of biological nanocomposites,biological adhesive surface mechanics,wetting and dewetting phenomena on microstructured solid surfaces.The phononic crystals and manipulation of elastic waves were elaborated in §IV.Finally,we conclude with a series of perspectives on solid mechanics.This review will set a primary goal of future science research and engineering application on solid mechanics with the effort of social and economic development.C.Q. 6Postreperfusion syndrome during orthotopic liver transplantation:a single-center experience显示文摘BACKGROUND: Marked hemodynamic alteration, commonly referred to as postreperfusion syndrome (PRS), often occurs after revascularization of the donor organ during orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) and is associated with poor outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the incidence, predictive factors and clinical outcomes of PRS in Chinese patients following OLT at a liver transplantation center in China. METHODS: Over a 5-year period, 330 consecutive patients who had undergone OLT for hepatocellular carcinoma or cirrhosis were included in this retrospective study. PRS was defined as a >30% decrease in the mean arterial pressure compared with that before revascularization for more than 1 minute during the first 5 minutes of graft reperfusion. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to the development of PRS: group 1 (patients with PRS, n=56) and group 2 (patients without PRS, n=274). The demographic characteristics, operative and postoperative courses, and outcomes of the patients were analyzed using SPSS version 18.0. RESULTS: Multivariate regression analysis showed that left ventricular diastolic dysfunction determined by echocardiography and prolonged cold ischemia time were the independent risk factors for PRS. More patients in group 1 showed postoperative renal dysfunction than those in group 2 (19.23% vs 8.4%). 9Endoscopic findings of gastrointestinal involvement in Chinese patients with Behcet's disease显示文摘AIM:To report the incidence,clinical features and outcomes of gastrointestinal(GI)involvement in Behcet’s disease(BD).METHODS:A total of 168 consecutive patients with BD were screened and upper and lower GI endoscopies were performed in 148 patients.Four hundred age-and sex-matched controls were enrolled for comparison.RESULTS:Fifty-two(35.1%)patients had GI lesions.After a mean follow-up of 10 mo,ileocecal ulcers had been confirmed in 20 patients,including active ulcer(s)in 18 patients,but no ileocecal ulceration was found in controls.GI symptoms were present in 14 patients with active ulcer(s),while 4 patients with smaller ulcer were asymptomatic.Endoscopic features of ileocecalulcer were:a single ulcer(50%),larger than 1 cm in diameter(72.2%),and round/oval or volcano-type in shape(83.3%).Compared with patients without GI involvement,less ocular lesions,lower levels of albumin,erythrocyte count and hemoglobin,and higher levels of C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were confirmed in the intestinal BD group.Four patients had esophageal ulcers in the BD group but no case in controls.The other endoscopic findings were similar between the two groups.The prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection was similar in both groups.Most patients received an immunomodulator and responded well.CONCLUSION:GI lesions commonly occur in Chinese BD patients.The most frequently involved area is the ileocecal region.Esophageal ulcer might be a rare but unique lesion.Jun Zou Yan Shen Da-Nian Ji Song-Bai Zheng Jian-Long Guan 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,45:10

13Kinetics of nitric acid leaching of cerium from oxidation roasted Baotou mixed rare earth concentrate显示文摘The kinetics of nitric acid leaching of cerium was investigated for the oxidation roasted Baotou mixed rare earth concentrate. The effects of leaching temperature, HNO_3 concentration, liquidesolid ratio(L/S)and stirring rate on rare earth extraction were studied. The XRD and SEM mapping analysis of the samples before and after acid leaching shows that the roasted bastnaesite is completely leached. Besides,the decomposition process of oxidizing roasting was also obtained by TGe MS and XRD. Different kinetics models were applied in this leaching process. The results of dynamic fitting show that the leaching process can be described by a new variant of the shrinking-core model. And the leaching rate is controlled by both the interfacial transfer and diffusion through the product layer. The apparent activation energy is calculated as 76.78 kJ/mol and the reaction orders with respect to HNO_3 concentrations and liquidesolid ratio are determined to be 7.609 and 2.516, respectively. 18Clinical features and the traditional Chinese medicine therapeutic characteristics of 293 COVID-19 inpatient cases显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is now pandemic worldwide and has heavily overloaded hospitals in Wuhan City, China during the time between late January and February. We reported the clinical features and therapeutic characteristics of moderate COVID-19 cases in Wuhan that were treated via the integration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine. We collected electronic medical record (EMR) data, which included the full clinical profiles of patients, from a designated TCM hospital in Wuhan. The structured data of symptoms and drugs from admission notes were obtained through an information extraction process. Other key clinical entities were also confirmed and normalized to obtain information on the diagnosis, clinical treatments, laboratory tests, and outcomes of the patients. A total of 293 COVID-19 inpatient cases, including 207 moderate and 86 (29.3%) severe cases, were included in our research. Among these cases, 238 were discharged, 31 were transferred, and 24 (all severe cases) died in the hospital. Our COVID-19 cases involved elderly patients with advanced ages (57 years on average) and high comorbidity rates (61%). Our results reconfirmed several well-recognized risk factors, such as age, gender (male), and comorbidities, as well as provided novel laboratory indications (e.g., cholesterol) and TCM-specific phenotype markers (e.g., dull tongue) that were relevant to COVID-19 infections and prognosis. In addition to antiviral/antibiotics and standard supportive therapies, TCM herbal prescriptions incorporating 290 distinct herbs were used in 273 (93%) cases. The cases that received TCM treatment had lower death rates than those that did not receive TCM treatment (17/273= 6.2% vs. 7/20= 35%, P = 0.0004 for all cases;17/77= 22% vs. 7/9= 77.7%, P = 0.002 for severe cases). The TCM herbal prescriptions used for the treatment of COVID-19 infections mainly consisted of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Radix Scutellariae, Rhizoma Pinellia, and their combinations, which reflected the practical TCM principles (e.g., clearing heat and dampening phlegm). Lastly, 59% of the patients received treatment, including antiviral, antibiotics, and Chinese patent medicine, before admission. This situation might have some effects on symptoms, such as fever and dry cough. By using EMR data, we described the clinical features and therapeutic characteristics of 293 COVID-19 cases treated via the integration of TCM herbal prescriptions and Western medicine. Clinical manifestations and treatments before admission and in the hospital were investigated. 19Petrology and metamorphism of glaucophane eclogites in Changning-Menglian suture zone, Bangbing area, southeast Tibetan Plateau: An evidence for Paleo-Tethyan subduction显示文摘High/ultrahigh-pressure(HP/UHP)metamorphic complexes,such as eclogite and blueschist,are generally regarded as significant signature of paleo-subduction zones and paleo-suture zones.Glaucophane eclogites have been recently identified within the Lancang Group characterized by accretionary mélange in the Changning-Menglian suture zone,at Bangbing in the Shuangjiang area of southeastern Tibetan Plateau.The authors report the result of petrological,mineralogical and metamorphism investigations of these rocks,and discuss their tectonic implications.The eclogites are located within the Suyi blueschist belt and occur as tectonic lenses in coarse-grained garnet muscovite schists.The major mineral assemblage of the eclogites includes garnet,omphacite,glaucophane,phengite,clinozoisite and rutile.Eclogitic garnet contains numerous inclusions,such as omphacite,glaucophane,rutile,and quartz with radial cracks around.Glaucophane and clinozoisite in the matrix have apparent optical and compositional zonation.Four stages of metamorphic evolution can be determined:The prograde blueschist facies(M_(1)),the peak eclogite facies(M_(2)),the decompression blueschist facies(M_(3))and retrograde greenschist facies(M_(4)).Using the Grt-Omp-Phn geothermobarometer,a peak eclogite facies metamorphic P-T condition of 3000–3270 MPa and 617–658℃ was determined,which is typical of low-temperature ultrahigh-pressure metamorphism.The comparison of the geological characteristics of the Bangbing glaucophane eclogites and the Mengku lawsonite-bearing retrograde eclogites indicates that two suites of eclogites may have formed from significantly different depths or localities to create the tectonic mélange in a subduction channel during subduction of the Triassic Changning-Menglian Ocean.The discovery of the Bangbing glaucophane eclogites may represent a new oceanic HP/UHP metamorphic belt in the Changning-Menglian suture zone.Yu-zhen Fu Zhi-ming Peng Bao-di Wang Guo-zhi Wang Jing-feng Hu Jun-lei Guan Ji Zhang Zhang Zhang Yun-he Liu Zou Hao 2021China Geology2021,4,1:7
20Identification of methylation profile of HOX genes in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘AIM:To identify methylation profile and novel tumor marker of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)with high throughout microarray.METHODS:Differential methylation profile was compared between normal bile duct epithelial cell lines and CCA cell lines by methyl-DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP)microarray.Bisulfite-polymerase chain reaction (BSP)was performed to identify the methylated allels of target genes.Expression of target genes was investigated before and after the treatment with DNA demethylating agent.Expression of candidate genes was also evaluated by immunofluorescence in 30 specimens of CCA tissues and 9 normal bile duct tissues.RESULTS:Methylation profile of CCA was identified with MeDIP microarray in the respects of different gene functions and signaling pathways.Interestingly,97 genes with hypermethylated CpG islands in the promoter region were homeobox genes.The top 5 hypermethylated homeobox genes validated by BSP were HOXA2(94.29%),HOXA5(95.38%),HOXA11 (91.67%),HOXB4(90.56%)and HOXD13(94.38%).Expression of these genes was reactivated with 5’-aza2’-deoxycytidine.Significant expression differences were found between normal bile duct and extrahepatic CCA tissues(66.67%-100%vs 3.33%-10%).CONCLUSION:HOXA2,HOXA5,HOXA11,HOXB4 and HOXD13 may work as differential epigenetic biomarkers between malignant and benign biliary tissues.Yi Shu Bing Wang Ji Wang Jian-Ming Wang Sheng-Quan Zou 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,29:7
