1Highly fractionated granites:Recognition and research显示文摘Granite is one of the most important components of the continental crust on our Earth; it thus has been an enduring studied subject in geology. According to present knowledge, granite shows a great deal of heterogeneity in terms of its texture, structure, mineral species and geochemical compositions at different scales from small dike to large batholith. However, the reasons for these variations are not well understood although numerous interpretations have been proposed. The key point of this debate is whether granitic magma can be effectively differentiated through fractional crystallization, and, if so, what kind of crystallization occurred during the magmatic evolution. Although granitic magma has high viscosity because of its elevated SiO2 content, we agree that fractional crystallization is effectively processed during its evolution based on the evidence from field investigation, mineral species and its chemical variations, and geochemical compositions. These data indicate that crystal settling by gravitation is not the only mechanism dominating granitic differentiation. On the contrary, flow segregation or dynamic sorting may be more important. Accordingly, granite can be divided into unfractionated, fractionated(including weakly fractionated and highly fractionated) and cumulated types, according to the differentiation degree. Highly fractionated granitic magmas are generally high in primary temperature or high with various volatiles during the later stage, which make the fractional crystallization much easier than the common granitic melts. In addition, effective magmatic differentiation can be also expected when the magma emplaced along a large scale of extensional structure. Highly fractionated granitic magma is easily contaminated by country rocks due to its relatively prolonged crystallization time. Thus, granites do not always reflect the characteristics of the source areas and the physical and chemical conditions of the primary magma. We proposed that highly fractionated granites are an important sign indicating compositional maturity of the continental crust, and they are also closely related to the rare-elemental(metal) mineralization of W,Sn, Nb, Ta, Li, Be, Rb, Cs, REEs, etc.WU FuYuan LIU XiaoChi JI WeiQiang WANG JiaMin YANG Lei 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,7:109
2A preliminary study of rare-metal mineralization in the Himalayan leucogranite belts, South Tibet显示文摘The Himalayan leucogranite occurs as two extensive(>1000 km) E-W trending belts on the Tibetan Plateau with the unique features. The leucogranite comprised biotite granite, two-mica/muscovite granite, tourmaline granite and garnet granite, which have been identified in previous studies, as well as albite granite and granitic pegmatite that were identified in this investigation. Fifteen leucogranite plutons were studied and 12 were found to contain rare-metal bearing minerals such as beryl(the representative of Be mineralization), columbite-group minerals, tapiolite, pyrochlore-microlite, fergusonite, Nb-Ta rutile(the representative of Nb-Ta mineralization), and cassiterite(the representative of Sn mineralization) mainly based on the field trip, microscope observation and microprobe analysis. The preliminary result shows that the Himalayan leucogranite is commonly related to the rare-metal mineralization and warrants future investigation. Further exploration and intensive research work is important in determining the rare-metal resource potential of this area.WANG RuCheng WU FuYuan XIE Lei LIU XiaoChi WANG JiaMin YANG Lei LAI Wen LIU Chen 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,9:45
324 h continuous observation of sodium layer over Wuhan by lidar显示文摘Based on the dual-wavelength lidar we have developed, the 24 h continuous ob- servation has been realized in its sodium channel by using Faraday atomic filter technology and other relevant technologies. This will facilitate the continuous ob- servation of the sodium layer and the relevant upper atmosphere over Wuhan. A result of about 50 h observation indicates that the daytime column density of so- dium layer over Wuhan is slightly increased compared to that during the nighttime, and the characteristics of the sporadic sodium layer occurring during the daytime are compared with that during the nighttime.CHENG XueWu GONG ShunSheng LI FaQuan DAI Yang SONG Juan WANG JiaMin LI FengYan 2007Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2007,50,3:8
4Responses of Patients with Disorders of Consciousness to Habit Stimulation:A Quantitative EEG Study显示文摘Whether habit stimulation is effective in DOC patient arousal has not been reported. In this paper, we analyzed the responses of DOC patients to habit stimulation. Nineteen DOC patients with alcohol consumption or smoking habits were recruited and 64-channel EEG signals were acquired both at the resting state and at three stimulation states. Wavelet transformation and nonlinear dynamics were used to extract the features of EEG signals and four brain lobes were selected to investigate the degree of EEG response to habit stimulation. Results showed that the highest degree of EEG response was from the callname stimulation, followed by habit and music stimulations. Significant differences in EEG wavelet energy and response coefficient were found both between habit and music stimulation, and between habit and call-name stimulation. These findings prove that habit stimulation induces relatively more intense EEG responses in DOC patients than music stimulation, suggesting that it may be a relevant additional method for eliciting patient arousal.Jingqi Li Jiamin Shen Shiqin Liu Maelig Chauvel Wenwei Yang Jian Mei Ling Lei Li Wu Jian Gao Yong Yang 2018Neuroscience Bulletin2018,34,4:8
5Deubiquitinase JOSD2 stabilizes YAP/TAZ to promote cholangiocarcinoma progression显示文摘Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)has emerged as an intractable cancer with scanty therapeutic regimens. The aberrant activation of Yes-associated protein(YAP)and transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif(TAZ)are reported to be common in CCA patients. However, the underpinning mechanism remains poorly understood.Deubiquitinase(DUB)is regarded as a main orchestrator in maintaining protein homeostasis. Here,we identified Josephin domain-containing protein 2(JOSD2)as an essential DUB of YAP/TAZ that sustained the protein level through cleavage of polyubiquitin chains in a deubiquitinase activity-dependent manner. The depletion of JOSD2 promoted YAP/TAZ proteasomal degradation and significantly impeded CCA proliferation in vitro and in vivo.Further analysis has highlighted the positive correlation between JOSD2 and YAP abundance in CCA patient samples.Collectively, this study uncovers the regulatory effects of JOSD2 on YAP/TAZ protein stabilities and profiles its contribution in CCA malignant progression, which may provide a potential intervention target for YAP/TAZ-related CCA patients.Meijia Qian Fangjie Yan Weihua Wang Jiamin Du Tao Yuan Ruilin Wu Chenxi Zhao Jiao Wang Jiabin Lu Bo Zhang Nengming Lin Xin Dong Xiaoyang Dai Xiaowu Dong Bo Yang Hong Zhu Qiaojun He 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,12:5
6Dual activated NIR-Ⅱ fluorescence and photoacoustic imaging-guided cancer chemo-radiotherapy using hybrid plasmonic-fluorescent assemblies显示文摘Multimodal imaging in the second near-infrared window(NIR-II)guided cancer therapy is a highly precise and efficient cancer theranostic strategy. However,it is still a challenge to develop activated NIR-II optical imaging and therapy agents. In this study,we develop a pH-responsive hybrid plasmonic-fluorescent vesicle by self-assembly of amphiphilic plasmonic nanogapped gold nanorod(AuNNR)and fluorescent down-conversion nanoparticles(DCNP)(AuNNR-DCNP Ve),showing remarkable and activated NIR-II fluorescence(FL)/NIR-II photoacoustic(PA)imaging performances. The hybrid vesicle also exhibited superior loading capacity of doxorubicin as a superior drug carrier and efficient radiosensitizer for X-ray-induced radiotherapy.Interestingly, the accumulated hybrid AuNNR-DCNP Ve in the tumor resulted in a recovery of NIR-II FL imaging signal and a variation in NIR-II PA imaging signal.Dual activated NIR-II PA and FL imaging of the hybrid vesicle could trace drug release and precisely guided cancer radiotherapy to ultimately reduce the side effects to healthy tissue.Tao Chen Lichao Su Xiaoguang Ge Wenmin Zhang Qingqing Li Xuan Zhang Jiamin Ye Lisen Lin Jibin Song Huanghao Yang 2020Nano Research2020,13,12:4

8Targeting slug-mediated non-canonical activation of c-Met to overcome chemo-resistance in metastatic ovarian cancer cells显示文摘Metastasis-associated drug resistance accounts for high mortality in ovarian cancer and remains to be a major barrier for effective treatment. In this study, SKOV3/T4, a metastatic subpopulation of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells, was enriched to explore potential interventions against metastaticassociated drug resistance. Quantitative genomic and functional analyses were performed and found that slug was significantly increased in the SKOV3/T4 subpopulation and contributed to the high resistance of SKOV3/T4. Further studies showed that slug activated c-Met in a ligand-independent manner due to elevated levels of fibronectin and provoked integrin α V function, which was confirmed by the significant correlation of slug and p-Met levels in 121 ovarian cancer patient samples. Intriguingly,c-Met inhibitor(s) exhibited greatly enhanced anti-cancer effects in slug-positive ovarian cancer models both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, IHC analyses revealed that slug levels were highly correlated with reduced survival of ovarian cancer patients. Taken together, this study not only uncovers the critical roles of slug in drug resistance in ovarian cancer but also highlights a promising therapeutic strategy by targeting the noncanonical activation of c-Met in slug-positive ovarian cancer patients with poor prognosis.Linlin Chang Yan Hu Yingying Fu Tianyi Zhou Jun You Jiamin Du Lin Zheng Ji Cao Meidan Ying Xiaoyang Dai Dan Su Qiaojun He Hong Zhu Bo Yang 2019Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2019,9,3:3
9Neutrophil-derived heparin binding protein triggers vascular leakage and synergizes with myeloperoxidase at the early stage of severe burns(With video)显示文摘Background:Burn shock caused by vascular leakage is one of the main causes of high mortality in severe burn injury. However, the pathophysiological mechanism of vascular leakage is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to explore the molecular mechanism of vascular leakage in the early stage of severe burn and provide a new target for the treatment of severe burns. Methods:Neutrophils were isolated from human peripheral blood by magnetic beads sorting.ELISA was used to detect neutrophil-derived granule proteins and glycocalyx injury products in plasma. The vascular leakage and neutrophil movement were assessed by in vivo laser confocal imaging in mice, and high-quality video were provided.Adhesion-related molecules were investigated by qRT-PCR.The damage to glycocalyx of mice vascular endothelial cellswas observed by transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope.Proteomic analysis, flow cytometry and immunofluorescence were used to further study the relationship between human peripheral blood neutrophil-derived hypochlorite(HOCl)and CD44 of human vascular endothelial cells. Results:In this study,we found that rapidly increasing activated neutrophils secrete heparin binding protein(HBP)andmyeloperoxidase(MPO)after severe burn injury.Increased HBP triggers vascular leakage with synergy of MPO,results in systemic edema and burn shock.Furthermore,we found that the MPO catalytic product HOCl but not MPO triggers CD44 extracellular domain shedding from vascular endothelial cells to damage the glycocalyx.Damage to the glycocalyx results in firm adhesion of neutrophils and increases vascular leakage. However,MPO inhibitors partially protect the glycocalyx of vascular endothelial cells. The combination of HBP and MPO inhibitors markedly reduces vascular leakage and systemic edema in the early stage of severe burns. Conclusions:Taken together, these data reveal that neutrophil-derived HBP and MPO play an important synergies role in triggering vascular leakage at the early stage of severe burns.Targeted intervention in these two biomolecules may introduce new strategies for helping to reduce large amount of fluid loss and subsequent burn shock.Lu Liu Yiming Shao Yixuan Zhang Yunxi Yang Jiamin Huang Linbin Li Ran Sun Yuying Zhou Yicheng Su Bingwei Sun 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3

11Exploring and exploiting genetics and genomicsfor sweetpotato improvement: Status andperspectives显示文摘Sweetpotato(Ipomoea batatas(L.)Lam.)is one of the most important root crops cultivated worldwide.Because of its adaptability, high yield potential, and nutritional value, sweetpotato has become an important food crop, particularly in developing countries. To ensure adequate crop yields to meet increasing demand,it is essential to enhance the tolerance of sweetpotato to environmental stresses and other yield-limiting factors. The highly heterozygous hexaploid genome of I.batatas complicates genetic studies and limits improvement of sweetpotato through traditional breeding. However, application of next-generation sequencing and high-throughput genotyping and phenotyping technologies to sweetpotato genetics and genomics research has provided new tools and resources for crop improvement. In this review,we discuss the genomics resources that are available for sweetpotato, including the current reference genome, databases, and available bioinformatics tools. We systematically review the current state of knowledge on the polyploid genetics of sweetpotato, including studies of its origin and germplasm diversity and the associated mapping of important agricultural traits. We then outline the conventional and molecular breeding approaches that have been applied to sweetpotato. Finally,we discuss future goals for genetic studies of sweetpotato and crop improvement via breeding in combination with state-of-the-art multi-omics approaches such as genomic selection and gene editing. These approaches will advance and accelerate genetic improvement of this important root crop and facilitate its sustainable global production.Mengxiao Yan Haozhen Nie Yunze Wang Xinyi Wang Robert Jarret Jiamin Zhao Hongxia Wang Jun Yang 2022Plant Communications2022,3,5:2

14Autonomous live working robot navigation with real-time detection and motion planning system on distribution line显示文摘In this study,an autonomous robot navigation system is designed for live working on distribution line. The developed system features a real-time detection and motion planning system, incorporating a manipulator capable of grasping power components. In order to accurately identify targets, the authors propose an object detection method based on the Larger Scale‘You Only Look Once’Version 4(LS-YOLOv4)algorithm for detecting the insulators and drop fuses. The LS-YOLOv4 extracts features of power components by Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),and then performs feature fusion. Then the authors develop a motion planning method based on the Node Control Optimal Rapidly Exploring Random Trees(NC-RRT*),which can drive the robot to realise the autonomous robot motion planning and obstacle avoidance. On the grasping function, the authors present a reliable Lightweight-based Convolutional Neural Network(L-CNN)grasping point detection method. Finally, the authors evaluate fully autonomous robotic system in both simulated and real-world experiments. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system can effectively identify the target and complete the grasping task in an efficient way.Notably, the proposed motion planning method can take into account both planning efficiency and accuracy to manipulation tasks.Haoning Zhao Chaoqun Wang Rui Guo Xuewen Rong Jiamin Guo Qixun Yang Lecheng Yang Yuliang Zhao Yibin Li 2022High Voltage2022,7,6:2
15Neutrophil extracellular traps contribute to myofibroblast differentiation and scar hyperplasia through the Toll-like receptor 9/nuclear factor Kappa-B/interleukin-6 pathway显示文摘Background:Inflammation is an important factor in pathological scarring. The role of neutrophils, one of the most important inflammatory cells,in scar hyperplasia remains unclear. The purpose of this article is to study the correlation between neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)and scar hyperplasia and identify a new target for inhibiting scar hyperplasia. Methods:Neutrophils were isolated from human peripheral blood by magnetic-bead sorting.NETs in plasma and scars were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs),immunofluorescence and flow cytometry.Immunohistochemistry was used to assess neutrophil(CD66B)infiltration in hypertrophic scars. To observe the entry of NETs into fibroblasts we used immunofluorescence and flow cytometry. Results:We found that peripheral blood neutrophils in patients with hypertrophic scars were more likely to form NETs(p<0.05).Hypertrophic scars showed greater infiltration with neutrophils and NETs(p<0.05).NETs activate fibroblasts in vitro to promote their differentiation and migration.Inhibition of NETs with cytochalasin in wounds reduced the hyperplasia of scars in mice.We induced neutrophils to generate NETs with different stimuli in vitro and detected the proteins carried by NETs.We did not find an increase in the expression of common scarring factors[interleukin(IL)-17 and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),p>0.05].However,inhibiting the production of NETs or degrading DNA reduced the differentiation of fibroblasts intomyofibroblasts. In vitro,NETs were found to be mediated by Toll-like receptor 9(TLR-9)in fibroblasts and further phosphorylated nuclear factor Kappa-B(NF-κB).We found that IL-6,which is downstream of NF-κB,was increased in fibroblasts.Additionally,IL-6 uses autocrine and paracrine signaling to promote differentiation and secretion. Conclusions:Our experiments found that NETs activate fibroblasts through the TLR-9/NF-κB/IL-6 pathway, thereby providing a new target for regulating hypertrophic scars.Yiming Shao Zaiwen Guo Yunxi Yang Lu Liu Jiamin Huang Yi Chen Linbin Li Bingwei Sun 2022Burns & Trauma2022,10,1:2

17Ultrasound-propelled Janus Au NR-mSiO_(2) nanomotor for NIR-II photoacoustic imaging guided sonodynamic-gas therapy of large tumors显示文摘Varieties of contrast agents have been developed for photoacoustic(PA)and ultrasound(US)imaging of cancers in vivo. However, access of traditional contrast agents into the sites of tumors has been principally through passive infiltration without any external force, preventing their deep penetration into the tissues of the tumors, and hindering the use of PA and US for deep tumor imaging. The concept of micro/nanomotors has been the focus of increasing attention as active theranostic agents due to their active movement in particular fluids, thereby conducting assigned tasks.Herein,US-propelled Janus mesoporous SiO_(2)partially coated gold nanorods(Au NR-mSiO_(2))were fabricated for deep tumor NIR-II PA imaging and synergistic sonodynamic-gas therapy.Following US irradiation,2,2-azobis[2-(2-imidazolin-2-yl)propane]dihydrochloride(AIPH)loaded in mSiO_(2)(Au NR-mSiO_(2)/AIPH)generated N_(2)microbubbles with high efficiency to achieve nanomotor drive.Due to the deep penetration of US,the nanomotors exhibited a capability to travel deep within sites of tumors, providing enhanced PA/US imaging inside the tumors.Furthermore, the nanomotor based cancer therapy was demonstrated through synergistic N_(2)gas and sonodynamic therapy. The US-propelled nanomotors demonstrated a novel strategy for the simultaneous PA/US dual imaging deep within tumor tissues and precise therapy of large tumors.Jiamin Ye Qinrui Fu Luntao Liu Lanlan Chen Xuan Zhang Qingqing Li Zhi Li Lichao Su Rong Zhu Jibin Song Huanghao Yang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,12:2

19The Himalayan Collisional Orogeny:A Metamorphic Perspective显示文摘This paper introduces how crustal thickening controls the growth of the Himalaya by summarizing the P-T-t evolution of the Himalayan metamorphic core. The Himalayan orogeny was divided into three stages.Stage 60–40 Ma:The Himalayan crust thickened to~40 km through Barrovian-type metamorphism(15–25°C/km),and the Himalaya rose from<0 to~1000 m.Stage 40–16 Ma:The crust gradually thickened to 60–70 km,resulting in abundant high-grade metamorphism and anatexis(peak-P,15–25°C/km;peak-T,>30°C/km).The three sub-sheets in the Himalayan metamorphic core extruded southward sequentially through imbricate thrusts of the Eo-Himalayan thrust,High Himalayan thrust, and Main Central thrust, and the Himalaya rose to≥5,000 m.Stage 16–0 Ma:the mountain roots underwent localized delamination, causing asthenospheric upwelling and overprinting of the lower crust by ultra-high-temperature metamorphism(30–50°C/km),and the Himalaya reached the present elevation of~6,000 m.Underplating and imbricate thrusting dominated the Himalaya’growth and topographic rise, conforming to the critical taper wedge model.Localized delamination of mountain roots facilitated further topographic rise.Future Himalayan metamorphic studies should focus on extreme metamorphism and major collisional events, contact metamorphism and rare metal mineralization, metamorphic decarbonation and the carbon cycle in collisional belts.WANG Jiamin WU Fuyuan ZHANG Jinjiang Gautam KHANAL YANG Lei 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6:2
