| 1 | Numerical simulation of GPS observed clockwise rotation around the eastern Himalayan syntax in the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘From Global Position System(GPS) measurements,there is a clockwise rotation around the eastern Himalayan syntax in the Tibetan Plateau.This phenomenon is difficult to be interpreted by simple two-dimensional modeling from a geodynamic point of view.Because of the extremely thick crust and the lower crust with relatively high temperature in the Tibetan Plateau,the lithospheric rheology in Tibet and surrounding areas present a complex structure.In general,the tectonic structure of the Tibetan Plateau consists of brittle upper crust,ductile lower crust,high viscosity lithospheric upper mantle,and low viscosity asthenosphere,the same as the case in many other continental regions.However,the lower crust in the Tibetan Plateau is much more ductile with a lower viscosity than those of its sur-roundings at the same depth,and the effective viscosity is low along the collision fault zone.In this study,we construct a three-dimensional Maxwell visco-elastic model in spherical coordinate system,and simulate the deformation process of the Tibetan Plateau driven by a continuous push from the Indian plate.The results show that the existence of the soft lower crust under the plateau makes the entire plateau uplift as a whole,and the Himalayas and the eastern Himalayan syntax uplift faster.Since the lower crust of surrounding blocks is harder except in the southeastern corner where the high-temperature material is much softer and forms an exit channel for material transfer,after the whole plateau reaches a certain height,the lower crustal and upper mantle material begins to move eastward or southeastward and drag the upper crust to behave same way.Thus,from the macroscopic point of view,a relative rigid motion of the plateau with a clockwise rotation around the eastern Himalayan syntax is developed. | CAO JianLing SHI YaoLin ZHANG Huai WANG Hui | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,8: | 23 |

| 3 | Characteristics of the genetic mineralogy of pyrite and its significance for prospecting in the Denggezhuang gold deposit,Jiaodong Peninsula,China显示文摘This paper reports the variation rules for the typomorphic parameters of the pyrite and the gold enrichment rules of the Denggezhuang quartz vein gold deposit at a large-depth scale,providing the mineral signs for deep prospecting prediction through detailed study of the characteristics of crystal' habits,chemical composition,the thermoelectricity of pyrites,and mineralogical mapping.This paper primarily discusses the correlation between the mineralization intensity and the space-time evolution of the mineralogical parameters,clarifies the physicochemical conditions during gold mineralization,and provides information useful for deep mineralization prediction.We demonstrate that the crystal habits of the pyrites are very complex,primarily occurring as {100},{210},and their combinate form.{210} and {100}+{210} have positive correlations with gold mineralization,and {100}+{210} therefore can be useful for locating rich ore segments.The composition of pyrites is characteristically poor in S and rich in As.Their typical trace elements are composed of Mo,As,Pb,Cu,Bi,Zn,Au,Co,Se,Sb,Ag,Ni,Cr,and Te.The average contents of trace elements in pyrites from various stages show that the crystallizing temperature gradually decreased from an early stage to the metallogenic episodes.The precipitation and accumulation of Au and Ag occur primarily in the quartz-pyrite stage(III) and the polymetal minerals stage(IV).The occurrence rate of P-type pyrites(P(%)) is 83.52%.There is a larger dispersion of the thermoelectrical coefficient of pyrite(α) in the Denggezhuang gold deposit than in other deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula.The electrical conductivity assemblage of pyrites from I to V is characterized by P≥N→P>N→P>>N→P>>N→P≥N,which is usually considered beneficial for mineralization.The relative contents of As+Sb+Se+Te and Co+Ni are closely correlated to P-type and N-type average values and their occurrence rates.According to the crystallizing temperature of pyrite,the mineralization intensity,and the denudation degree,the mineralization temperature of the Denggezhuang gold deposit is in the range of 150–322℃ and is of a medium-low temperature.The orebody has already become denuded to the top-middle of the orebody,and the size of the orebody is larger than 900 m.Based on the vertical zoning of the thermoelectrical coefficients of pyrites and P-type pyrite mapping,it is suggested that the segment between ?425 and ?800 m may have exploration potential to the northeast of line 94 of the No.I2-2 orebody. | XUE JianLing LI ShengRong SUN WenYan ZHANG YunQiang ZHANG Xu | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 12 |
| 4 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 5 | Research advances in bioactive components and health benefits of jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)fruit显示文摘Jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.),a highly nutritious and functional fruit,is reported to have various health benefits and has been extensively planted worldwide,especially in China.Many studies have shown that bioactive components derived from jujube fruit have significant nutritional and potential biological effects.In this paper,the latest progress in research on major bioactive compounds obtained from jujube is reviewed,and the potential biological functions of jujube fruit resources are discussed.As a dietary supplement,jujube fruit is well recognized as a healthy food which contains a variety of bioactive substances,such as polysaccharides,polyphenols,amino acids,nucleotides,fatty acids,dietary fiber,alkaloids,and other nutrients.These nutrients and non-nutritive phytochemicals obtained from jujube fruit have physiological functions including anticancer,antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,anti-hyperlipidemic,anti-hyperglycemic,immunoregulatory,neuroprotective,sedative,and antiviral functions.Of note is that new constituents,including alkaloids,dietary fiber,and other bioactive substances,as well as the antiviral,hypoglycemic,lipid-lowering,and neuroprotective effects of jujube fruit,are systematically reviewed here for the first time.Meanwhile,problems affecting the exploitation of jujube fruit resources are discussed and further research directions proposed.Therefore,this review provides a useful bibliography for the future development of jujube-based products and the utilization of jujube nutritional components in functional foods. | Yang LU Tao BAO Jianling MO Jingdan NI Wei CHEN | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6: | 9 |
| 6 | Studying the viscosity of lower crust of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau according to post-seismic deformation显示文摘The viscosity of lower crust of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau on earth should be determined. It has become a predominant problem in quantitative research on geodynamics. Its order of magnitude will have a great influence on the results of quantitative modeling. To obtain the viscosity of lower crust of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, this parameter was calculated by three methods. The first is based on the estimation on the temperature state of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the deep part, and the viscosity of lower crust of northern Plateau was recomputed with strain rate derived from rheology law and GPS observation. Effective viscosity of middle crust in Kunlun region is between 1020 and 1022 Pa·s, and that of lower crust is be- tween 1019 and 1021 Pa·s; the second is based on three kinds of rheological models used to fit the post-seismic deformation recorded by cross-over fault GPS sites set after Ms8.1 Kunlun earthquake in 2001. The viscosity of lower crust obtained by this method is of 1017 Pa·s order of magnitude. However, higher viscosity is required to fit the data of south fault better, and the lower one is required to fit the data of north fault better. The viscosity of lower crust, which was obtained by fitting the cross-over fault post-seismic deformation after Ms7.6 Luhuo earthquake in 1973, is of 1019 Pa·s order of magnitude. Non-linear relationship between effective viscosity and strain rate is ignored in the former research of effective viscosity. | 7 | High-throughput low-delay MAC protocol for Tera Hertz ultra-high data-rate wireless networks显示文摘To address the problems of the present Tera Hertz medium access control(MAC) protocols such as not updating the time slot requests numbers in time, unreasonable superframe structures and not merging time slot requests from the same pair of nodes, high throughput low delay medium access control(HLMAC), a novel MAC protocol for Tera Hertz ultra-high data-rate wireless networks is proposed. It reduces the data access delay largely with a new superframe structure, from which nodes can get time slot allocation information immediately. The network throughput is also improved with the help of updating time slot requests number and merging time slot requests from the same pair of nodes. | 9 | Suppressing secondary reactions of coal pyrolysis by reducing pressure and mounting internals in fixed-bed reactor显示文摘Pyrolysis of Shenmu coal was performed in fixed-bed reactors indirectly heated by reducing operating pressure and mounting internals in the reactor to explore their synergetic effects on coal pyrolysis. Mounting internals particularly designed greatly improved the heat transfer inside coal bed and raised the yield of tar production.Reducing pressure further facilitated the production of tar through its suppression of secondary reactions occurring in the reactor. The absolute increase in tar yield reached 3.33 wt% in comparison with the pyrolysis in the reactor without internals under atmospheric pressure. The obtained tar yield in the reactor with internals under reduced pressure was even higher than the yield of Gray–King assay. Through experiments in a laboratory fixed bed reactor, it was also clarified that the effect of reducing pressure is related to volatile release rate in pyrolysis. It did not obviously vary tar yield at pyrolysis temperatures below 600 °C, while the effect was evident at 650 and 700 °C but became limited again above 800 °C. | 11 | Accelerated anaerobic dechlorination of DDT in slurry with Hydragric Acrisols using citric acid and anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate(AQDS)显示文摘The application of electron donor and electron shuttle substances has a vital influence on electron transfer,thus may affect the reductive dechlorination of 1,1,1-trichoro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)ethane(DDT) in anaerobic reaction systems.To evaluate the roles of citric acid and anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate(AQDS) in accelerating the reductive dechlorination of DDT in Hydragric Acrisols that contain abundant iron oxide,a batch anaerobic incubation experiment was conducted in a slurry system with four treatments of(1) control,(2) citric acid,(3) AQDS,and(4) citric acid + AQDS.Results showed that DDT residues decreased by 78.93%–92.11% of the initial quantities after 20 days of incubation,and 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)-ethane(DDD) was the dominant metabolite.The application of citric acid accelerated DDT dechlorination slightly in the first 8 days,while the methanogenesis rate increased quickly,and then the acceleration effect improved after the 8th day while the methanogenesis rate decreased.The amendment by AQDS decreased the Eh value of the reaction system and accelerated microbial reduction of Fe(III) oxides to generate Fe(II),which was an efficient electron donor,thus enhancing the reductive dechlorination rate of DDT.The addition of citric acid + AQDS was most efficient in stimulating DDT dechlorination,but no significant interaction between citric acid and AQDS on DDT dechlorination was observed.The results will be of great significance for developing an efficient in situ remediation strategy for DDT-contaminated sites. | Cuiying Liu Xianghua Xu Jianling Fan | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,12: | 5 |

| 13 | MOF-derived molybdenum selenide on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) with superior capacitive performance for lithium-ion capacitors显示文摘Two-dimensional Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) exhibits outstanding rate property and cycle performance in lithium-ion capacitors(LICs)due to its unique layered structure,excellent electronic conductivity,and high specific surface area.However,like graphene,Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) restacks during electrochemical cycling due to hydrogen bonding or van der Waals forces,leading to a decrease in the specific surface area and an increase in the diffusion distance of electrolyte ions between the interlayer of the material.Here,a transition metal selenide MoSe_(2) with a special three-stacked atomic layered structure,derived from metal-organic framework(MOF),is introduced into the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) structure through a solvo-thermal method.The synergic effects of rapid Li+diffusion and pillaring effect from the MoSe_(2) and excellent conductivity from the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sheets endow the material with excellent electrochemical reaction kinetics and capacity.The composite Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoSe_(2) material exhibits a high capacity over 300 mAh·g^(-1) at 150 mA·g^(-1) and excellent rate property with a specific capacity of 150 mAh·g^(-1) at 1500 mA·g^(-1).Addition-ally,the material shows a superior capacitive contribution of 86.0%at 2.0 mV·s^(-1) due to the fast electrochemical reactions.A Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoSe_(2)//AC LIC device is also fabricated and exhibits stable cycle performance. | Jianjian Zhong Lu Qin Jianling Li Zhe Yang Kai Yang Mingjie Zhang | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,5: | 4 |
| 14 | Far-field sonic boom prediction considering atmospheric turbulence effects: An improved approach显示文摘Accurate prediction of sonic boom is one of key challenges for the design of a low-boom supersonic aircraft. For most of available far-field prediction methods, the effect of atmospheric turbulence appearing in the planetary boundary layer cannot be considered, which results in remarkable inaccuracy of predicting ground-level sonic boom waveform. Although some efforts have been made to overcome the shortcoming, the turbulence effects are not yet well described so far. This article proposes an improved method by extending the two-dimensional Heterogeneous One-Way Approximation for the Resolution of Diffraction(HOWARD) equation to account for the axial and transverse convections of wind fluctuation as well as the effect of temperature fluctuation. The proposed method is validated by comparing the predictions with the flight-test data of JAXA D-SEND#1 LBM, which shows that the result of the proposed method is in better agreement with the flight-test data than that of the method without considering atmospheric turbulence effects.Then, distortion mechanism of sonic boom waveforms caused by atmospheric turbulence is analyzed by using the proposed method. It is indicated that the effect of turbulent convection makes uniform sonic-boom wavefronts irregular, which creates the condition of diffraction effect to perturb waveforms. Finally, the proposed method is applied to investigate the behavior of two types of waveforms given by the sonic boom minimization theory. | 15 | Accurate assessment of antibiotic susceptibility and screening resistant strains of a bacterial population by linear gradient plate显示文摘The dynamics of a bacterial population exposed to theminimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of an antibiotic is an important issue in pharmacological research.Therefore,a novel antibiotic susceptibility test is urgently needed that can both precisely determine the MIC and accurately select antibiotic-resistant strains from clinical bacterial populations.For this purpose,we developed a method based on Fick's laws of diffusion using agar plates containing a linear gradient of antibiotic.The gradient plate contained two layers.The bottom layer consisted of 15 mL agar containing the appropriate concentration of enrofloxacin and allowed to harden in the form of a wedge with the plate slanted such that the entire bottom was just covered.The upper layer consisted of 15 mL plain nutrient agar added with the plate held in the horizontal position.After allowing vertical diffusion of the drug from the bottom agar layer for 12 h,the enrofloxacin concentration was diluted in proportion to the ratio of the agar layer thicknesses.The uniform linear concentration gradient was verified by measuring the enrofloxacin concentration on the agar surface.When heavy bacterial suspensions were spread on the agar surface and incubated for more than 12 h,only resistant cells were able to form colonies beyond the boundary of confluent growth of susceptible cells.In this way,the true MIC of enrofloxacin was determined.The MICs obtained using this linear gradient plate were consistent with those obtained using conventional antibiotic susceptibility tests.Discrete colonies were then spread onto a gradient plate with higher antibiotic concentrations;the boundary line increased significantly,and gene mutations conferring resistance were identified.This new method enables the rapid identification of resistant strains in the bacterial population.Use of the linear gradient plate can easily identify the precise MIC and reveal the dynamic differentiation of bacteria near the MIC.This method allows the study of genetic and physiological characteristics of individual strains,and may be useful for early warning of antibiotic resistance that may occur after use of certain antimicrobial agents,and guide clinical treatment. | LIU YuQing LI JingRan DU JiaFa HU Ming BAI Hua QI Jing GAO Chao WEI TianTian SU Hong JIN JianLing GAO PeiJi | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10: | 4 |
| 16 | Through converting the surface complex on TiO_(2) nanorods to generate superoxide and singlet oxygen to remove CN^(−)显示文摘Cyanide(CN−)is extensively used in the process of plating devices and for surface treatment in the electroplating industry and is extremely hazardous to humans and the environment.Peroxymonosulfate(PMS)-based advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)hold considerable promise for CN−removal.However,the activity of sulfate radical and hydroxyl radical generated in the PMS activation process is low in the base condition,leading to a drop in its efficiency in CN−removal.Thus,a photo-electrocatalytic system(PEC),developed using a TiO_(2) photoanode and a carbon aerogel cathode,was used to activate PMS for the removal of CN−from wastewater through the generation of radicals and non-radicals.The PEC/PMS system could effectively remove CN^(−),with the removal efficiency reaching 98.5%within 2 min,when PMS concentration was at the 0.25 mmol/L level,and the applied bias voltage was-0.5 V.The main active species in the PEC/PMS system were superoxide radicals and singlet oxygen,which was proved through electron paramagnetic resonance detection and quenching experiments.Results obtained through in-situ Raman measurements,photocurrent tests,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements indicated that the TiO2 could activate PMS to generate active species.Following many cycles of experimentation,it was discovered that the system displayed high catalytic performance and possessed satisfactory stability to remove CN−economically and efficiently. | Laiqi Zhang Ridha Djellabi Peidong Su Yan Wang Jianling Zhao | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2: | 4 |

| 19 | Safety of axitinib and sorafenib monotherapy for patients with renal cell carcinoma:a meta-analysis显示文摘We sought to investigate safety of axitinib or sorafenib in renal cell carcinoma(RCC) patients and compare toxicity of these two vascular endothelial growth factor receptor inhibitors. Databases of PubMed and Embase were searched.We included phase II and III prospective trials, as well as retrospective studies, in which patients diagnosed with RCC were treated with axitinib or sorafenib monotherapy at a starting dose of 5 mg and 400 mg twice daily, respectively.The overall incidence of high grade hypertension, fatigue, gastrointestinal toxicity and hand-foot syndrome, along with their 95% confidence intervals(CI), were calculated using fixed-or random-effects model according to heterogeneity test results. A total of 26 trials, including 4790 patients, were included in our meta-analysis. Among them, 6 arms were related to axitinib and 22 were associated with sorafenib. The incidences of hypertension(24.9%vs. 7.9%), fatigue(8.2% vs. 6.6%), and gastrointestinal toxicity(17.6% vs. 11.3%) were higher in patients receiving axitinib versus those receiving sorafenib, while the incidence of hand-foot syndrome was lower in patients receiving axitinib versus those receiving sorafenib(9.5% vs. 13.3%). In conclusion, axitinib showed noticeably higher risks of toxicity versus sorafenib. | 20 | Molecular Weight Controllable Degradation of Laminaria japonica Polysaccharides and Its Antioxidant Properties显示文摘In this study, molecular weight controllable degradation of algal Laminaria japonica polysaccharides(LPS) was investigated by ultrasound combined with hydrogen peroxide. Three main factors, i.e., ultrasonic power(A), ultrasonic time(B), and H_2O_2 concentration(C) were chosen for optimizing parameters by employing three-factors, three-levels BBD. The influence of degradation on structure change and antioxidant activities was also investigated. A second-order polynomial equation including molecular weight(Y) of Laminaria japonica polysaccharides and each variable parameter, i.e., ultrasonic power(A), ultrasonic time(B), and H_2O_2 concentration(C), was established: Y=20718.67-4273.13A-4000.38B-1438.75C+2333.25AB+1511.00AC+873.00BC+2838.29A^2 + 2490.79B^2+873.04C^2. The equation regression coefficient value(R^2 = 0.969) indicated that this equation was valid. The value of the adjusted determination coefficient(adjusted R^2 = 0.914) also confirmed that the model was highly significant. The results of selected experimental degradation conditions matched with the predicted value. FT-IR spectra revealed that the structures of LPS before and after degradation were not significantly changed. Antioxidant activities of LPS revealed that low Mws possessed stronger inhibitory than the original polysaccharides.
