1Exploring the history of cultural exchange in prehistoric Eurasia from the perspectives of crop diffusion and consumption显示文摘The history of cultural exchange in prehistoric Eurasia(CEPE) has been widely investigated. Based on archaeological evidence, this process is thought to date back to at least the early Bronze Age, although details about timings and routes remain unclear. It is likely that CEPE promoted the spread and exchange of crops that originated in different parts of Eurasia; since these remains can be definitely identified and directly dated, they provide ideal research materials to explore the history of CEPE. In this paper, we review the available archaeobotanical evidence and direct radiocarbon dates for crop remains, alongside carbon isotopic data from human bones unearthed from prehistoric sites in Eurasia, in order to investigate the history of the spread of millet crops, and wheat and barley, that were first domesticated in the eastern and western parts of Eurasia during prehistoric times.In combination with other archaeological evidences, we discuss the history of CEPE. Our results suggest that wheat and barley were domesticated in western Asia around 10500 a BP, spread into Europe and western Central Asia before 8000 a BP, and reaching eastern Central Asia and northwestern China between 4500 and 4000 a BP. Data show that both broomcorn and foxtail millet were domesticated in eastern Asia before 7700 a BP, spread into eastern Central Asia between 4500 and 4000 a BP, and into western Asia and Europe prior to 3500 a BP. Wheat, barley, and millet crops were first utilized together in eastern Kazakhstan within Central Asia around 4400 a BP, the region where earliest CEPE is likely to have taken place. These crops were mixedly used mainly in eastern central Asia and northwest China between 4500 and 3500 a BP, and then across the Eurasia before 2200 a BP. 3BubR1 phosphorylates CENP-E as a switch enabling the transition from lateral association to end-on capture of spindle microtubules显示文摘Error-free mitosis depends on accurate chromosome attachment to spindle microtubules, powered congression of those chromosomes, their segregation in anaphase, and assembly of a spindle midzone at mitotic exit. The centromere-associated kinesin motor CENP-E, whose binding partner is BubR1, has been implicated in congression of misaligned chromosomes and the transition from lateral kinetochore-microtubule association to end-on capture. Although previously proposed to be a pseudokinase, here we report the structure of the kinase domain of Drosophila melanogaster BubR1, revealing its folding into a conformation predicted to be catalytically active. BubR1 is shown to be a bona fide kinase whose phosphorylation of CENP-E switches it from a laterally attached microtubule motor to a plus-end microtubule tip tracker. Computational modeling is used to identify bubristatin as a selective BubR1 kinase antagonist that targets the αN1 helix of N-terminal extension and αC helix of the BubR1 kinase domain. Inhibition of CENP-E phosphorylation is shown to prevent proper microtubule capture at kinetochores and, surprisingly, proper assembly of the central spindle at mitotic exit. Thus, BubR1-mediated CENP-E phosphorylation produces a temporal switch that enables transition from lateral to end-on microtubule capture and organization of microtubules into stable midzone arrays.Yuejia Huang Lin Lin Xing Liu Sheng Ye Phil Y. 4Characterising the nature, evolution and origin of detachment fault in central depression belt, Qiongdongnan Basin of South China Sea: evidence from seismic reflection data显示文摘Using regional geological, newly acquired 2D and 3D seismic, drilling and well log data, especially 2D long cable seismic profiles, the structure and stratigraphy in the deep-water area of Qiongdongnan Basin are interpreted. The geometry of No.2 fault system is also re-defined, which is an important fault in the central depression belt of the deep-water area in the Qiongdongnan Basin by employing the quantitative analysis techniques of fault activity and backstripping. Furthermore, the dynamical evolution of the No.2 fault system and its controls on the central depression belt are analyzed. This study indicates that the Qiongdongnan Basin was strongly influenced by the NW-trending tensile stress field during the Late Eocene. At this time, No.2 fault system initiated and was characterized by several discontinuous fault segments, which controlled a series small NE-trending fault basins. During the Oligocene, the regional extensional stress field changed from NW-SE to SN with the oceanic spreading of South China Sea, the early small faults started to grow along their strikes, eventually connected and merged as the listric shape of the No.2 fault system as observed today. No.2 fault detaches along the crustal Moho surface in the deep domain of the seismic profiles as a large-scale detachment fault. A large-scale rollover anticline formed in hanging wall of the detachment fault. There are a series of small fault basins in both limbs of the rollover anticline, showing that the early small basins were involved into fold deformation of the rollover anticline. Structurally, from west to east, the central depression belt is characterized by alternatively arranged graben and half-graben. The central depression belt of the Qiongdongnan Basin lies at the extension zone of the tip of the V-shaped northwestern ocean sub-basin of the South China Sea, its activity period is the same as the development period of the northwestern ocean sub-basin, furthermore the emplacement and eruption of magma that originated from the mantle below the Moho surface occurred at the region between Songnan-Baodao and Changchang sags, from east to west with the early-stage spreading of the South China Sea. 5The periodic law of trace elements in coal——A case study of the 5~# coal from the Weibei Coalfield显示文摘To better understand the 5# coal (late Paleozoic) from the Weibei Coalfield, nine samples were collected in different locations of the 5# coal seam. The correlation coefficients between 51 trace elements including organic carbon, as well as ash, were calculated by statistical method. The variations of the squares of correlation coefficients with the first ionization energy, as well as ion radii of the corresponding elements, were comparetively investigated. The results show that the distribution law of the trace elements is in accordance with the chemical element periodic law and can be theoretically explained in detail. 7Comparison of Modified Mohr-Coulomb Model and Bai-Wierzbicki Model for Constructing 3D Ductile Fracture Envelope of AA6063显示文摘Ductile fracture of metal often occurs in the plastic forming process of parts.The establishment of ductile fracture criterion can effectively guide the selection of process parameters and avoid ductile fracture of parts during machining.The 3D ductile fracture envelope of AA6063-T6 was developed to predict and prevent its fracture.Smooth round bar tension tests were performed to characterize the flow stress,and a series of experiments were conducted to characterize the ductile fracture firstly,such as notched round bar tension tests,compression tests and torsion tests.These tests cover a wide range of stress triaxiality(ST)and Lode parameter(LP)to calibrate the ductile fracture criterion.Plasticity modeling was performed,and the predicted results were compared with corresponding experimental data to verify the plasticity model after these experiments.Then the relationship between ductile fracture strain and ST with LP was constructed using the modified Mohr-Coulomb(MMC)model and Bai-Wierzbicki(BW)model to develop the 3D ductile fracture envelope.Finally,two ductile damage models were proposed based on the 3D fracture envelope of AA6063.Through the comparison of the two models,it was found that BW model had better fitting effect,and the sum of squares of residual error of BW model was 0.9901.The two models had relatively large errors in predicting the fracture strain of SRB tensile test and torsion test,but both of the predicting error of both two models were within the acceptable range of 15%.In the process of finite element simulation,the evolution process of ductile fracture can be well simulated by the two models.However,BW model can predict the location of fracture more accurately than MMC model.Jianye Gao Tao He Yuanming Huo Miao Song Tingting Yao Wanbo Yang 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,2:6
8The Trace Elements are Bounded by Organic Functional Groups in Coal:A Studying Result Based on FTIR Analysis显示文摘The relationship between trace elements in coal and organic functional groups of coal,also some of aromatic structure,was investigated by using curve fitting of infrared spectra.Cluster analysis was also performed according to the degree of affinity of organic groups to the trace elements.The results show that there is a possibility that trace elements,especially LREE,were bound to peripheral organic functional groups of middle rank coal macromolecule.The most possible functional group that binds trace element is the hydroxyl,and to the less degree,the asymmetric-CH_3and>CH_2 stretching,-CH_3 stretching,etc.The degree of affinity of trace elements to different functional groups varies.The tendency obeys the natural structural changing law of trace elements—the periodic law.The deviation of some trace elements from this regular trend is attributed to the deviation of intrinsic'confusion degree'(conventional molar entropy)of the matter system of coal basin,which is affected by the inner and outer factors during the evolution.YANG Jianye WANG Guangheng ZHANG Weiguo 2016Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2016,90,1:5
9Role of Co Content on Densification and Microstructure of WC–Co Cemented Carbides Prepared by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘WC–Co cemented carbides, well-known as the conventional tooling materials, have not been successfully produced by one step additive manufacturing processes such as selective laser melting(SLM) yet. The microstructure evolution as well as WC grain growth behavior has rarely been investigated in detail during SLM process. In this study, the WC–Co cemented carbides with different Co contents(12–32 wt%) were prepared by optimized SLM processes for comparative investigation of densification behavior, microstructure characterization and mechanical property. The increase in Co content in feedstock carbide granules can improve the densification behavior during SLM process. The SLM processed WC-12 Co shows larger average WC grain size and higher percentage of coarser WC grains as compared with both WC-20 Co and WC-32 Co. The microstructure characterization, combined with finite element simulation, shows the WC grain growth mechanisms include agglomeration and dissolution-deposition of WC during SLM process and agglomeration of WC is an important mechanism especially for WC–Co cemented carbides with Co content as low as 12 wt%. 11TOF-SIMS Study of the Hydrocarbon-generating Potential of Mineral-Bituminous Groundmass显示文摘The TOF-SIMS fragment peak ascription of organic and inorganic ions of mineral-bituminous groundmass of Jurassic source rocks in the Turpan-Hami and Junggar basins was studied by using the high-resolution Time of Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (TOF-SIMS). The characteristics of spectrum distribution and constitution of fragment ions of the mineral-bituminous groundmass are discussed; then the methods of evaluating its hydrocarbon-generating potential are developed. In addition, the typical parameters, XAL, Yox and ZAR, for indicating the hydrocarbon-generating potential of mineral-bituminous and other organic matter in source rocks are put forward to reflect the aliphatic, oxygenous, and aromatic structures. 12A comprehensive testing method for global stability analysis of high arch dams显示文摘Hydropower projects are rapidly developing in China at present,and a number of high dams and large reservoirs are currently under construction or will soon be built.These large projects are mainly located on the great rivers in West China with complicated topographical and geological conditions.Evaluation of stability and safety of these high dam projects is an important topic.Geomechanical model test is one of the main methods to study the global stability of high dam and foundation.In this paper,a comprehensive testing method that combines overloading and strength reduction in a model is proposed.In this method,both the influence of excessive flooding and the effects of strength reduction of rock masses and weak structural planes on dam stability are considered.Thus,the comprehensive testing method can accurately incorporate multiple factors that affect the global stability of high dam and its foundation.Based on the failure testing principle and model similarity theory,a similarity relation formula for safety evaluation through comprehensive test is established.A new model material,temperature-dependent analogous material,is also developed.By rising the temperature and reducing the strength of the model material,the mechanical behaviors resulting from gradual strength reduction can be simulated.Thus,the comprehensive testing method is realized in a single model.For case studies,the comprehensive geomechanical model test is conducted for Jinping I and Xiaowan high arch dam projects.Lin Zhang Yuan Chen Baoquan Yang Jianye Chen Chengqiu Hu 2012Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,1:3
13Internal structures and high-velocity frictional properties of Longmenshan fault zone at Shenxigou activated during the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘This paper reports internal structures of a wide fault zone at Shenxigou,Dujiangyan,Sichuan province,China,and high-velocity frictional properties of the fault gouge collected near the coseismic slip zone during the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake.Vertical offset and horizontal displacement at the trench site were 2.8 m(NW side up)and 4.8 m(right-lateral),respectively.The fault zone formed in Triassic sandstone,siltstone,and shale about 500 m away from the Yingxiu-Beichuan fault,a major fault in the Longmenshan fault system.A trench survey across the coseismic fault,and observations of outcrops and drill cores down to a depth of 57 m revealed that the fault zone consists of fault gouge and fault breccia of about0.5 and 250–300 m in widths,respectively,and that the fault strikes N62°E and dips 68° to NW.Quaternary conglomerates were recovered beneath the fault in the drilling,so that the fault moved at least 55 m along the coseismic slip zone,experiencing about 18 events of similar sizes.The fault core is composed of grayish gouge(GG) and blackish gouge(BG) with very complex slip-zone structures.BG contains low-crystalline graphite of about 30 %.High-velocity friction experiments were conducted at normal stresses of 0.6–2.1 MPa and slip rates of 0.1–2.1 m/s.Both GG and BG exhibit dramatic slip weakening at constant high slip rates that can be described as an exponential decay from peak friction coefficient lpto steadystate friction coefficient lssover a slip-weakening distance Dc.Deformation of GG and BG is characterized by overlapped slip-zone structures and development of sharp slickenside surfaces,respectively.Comparison of our data with those reported for other outcrops indicates that the high-velocity frictional properties of the Longmenshan fault zones are quite uniform and the high-velocity weakening must have promoted dynamic rupture propagation during the Wenchuan earthquake.Yu Wang Shengli Ma Toshihiko Shimamoto Lu Yao Jianye Chen Xiaosong Yang Honglin He Jiaxiang Dang Linfeng Hou Tetsuhiro Togo 2014Earthquake Science2014,27,5:3
14The Geochemical Effect of Lanthanides: Its Types and Application for Magmatic Rocks—A New Method to Semi-Quantitatively Determine Strength of Magmatic Fluid Complexation and Fractional Crystallization显示文摘In this paper, the relationship between rare earth elements(REEs) geochemical behavior and their ionic radii was studied. According to the basic law called the effect on geochemistry of lanthanides, five types and some of subtypes of REEs occurrence, both in magmatic rocks and their minerals, were found, which may correspond to the evolutionary way of magmatic rocks. Analysis of REEs data for an amazonite-topaz granite pluton in East Xinjiang, one of the administrative regions of West China, and Cenozoic alkaline volcanic-intrusive rocks in the Xialiaohe depression of Bohai Bay Basin, China show that types II1, III and IV of effect on geochemistry of lanthanides not only reflect fluid complexation and fractional crystallization existed in magmatic evolution directly, but also can determine semi-quantitatively the strength of fluid complexation and fractional crystallization. Therefore, the effect on geochemistry of lanthanides, a new way to study semi-quantitatively evolution of magmatic rocks, is probably practicable. 16A new evaluation method for site selection of large underground water-sealed petroleum storage depots显示文摘Scientific site selection is the first step in constructing underground water-sealed petroleum storage depots, but no uniform standard and code for such activity has been established. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to propose an evaluation method for the site selection of an underground water-sealed petroleum storage depot. The first large underground water-sealed petroleum storage depot being built in China served as the background of this study. The following 12 indexes were used as evaluation factors based on comprehensive evaluation criteria and specifications for key project site selection: geographic structure development feature, topographic feature, lithostratic formation feature, crustal stress, strength of rock mass, joint development feature, hydrogeological conditions, long-term water sealing conditions, environmental/ecological vulnerability, regional stability, technical and economic conditions, and meteorological and hydrological conditions. The weight back analysis and power coefficient methods were also used to evaluate the site selected for the first underground water-sealed petroleum storage depot project. Petroleum site classification models based on the two aforementioned methods were established and used to verify the feasibility of the evaluation criteria and methods, and the evaluation results show the grade of the site selected for the underground water-sealed petroleum storage depot in Huangdao, China is good. 19Tumor-repopulating cell-derived microparticles elicit cascade amplification of chemotherapy-induced antitumor immunity to boost anti-PD-1 therapy显示文摘Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)therapy,particularly antibodies targeting the programmed death receptor 1(PD-1)and its ligand(PD-L1),has revolutionized cancer treatment.However,its efficacy as a standalone therapy remains limited.Although ICB therapy in combination with chemotherapy shows promising therapeutic responses,the challenge lies in amplifying chemotherapy-induced antitumor immunity effectively.This relies on efficient drug delivery to tumor cells and robust antigen presentation by dendritic cells(DCs).Here,we developed tumor-repopulating cell(TRC)-derived microparticles with exceptional tumor targeting to deliver doxorubicin(DOX@3D-MPs)for improve anti-PD-1 therapy.DOX@3D-MPs effectively elicit immunogenic tumor cell death to release sufficient tumor antigens.Heat shock protein 70(HSP70)overexpressed in DOX@3D-MPs contributes to capturing tumor antigens,promoting their phagocytosis by DCs,and facilitating DCs maturation,leading to the activation of CD8+T cells.DOX@3D-MPs significantly enhance the curative response of anti-PD-1 treatment in large subcutaneous H22 hepatoma,orthotopic 4T1 breast tumor and Panc02 pancreatic tumor models.These results demonstrate that DOX@3D-MPs hold promise as agents to improve the response rate to ICB therapy and generate long-lasting immune memory to prevent tumor relapse.Nana Bie Tuying Yong Zhaohan Wei Qingle Liang Xiaoqiong Zhang Shiyu Li Xin Li Jianye Li Lu Gan Xiangliang Yang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,11:1
