1Photoelastic Visualization of Ultrasound Generated by Pulsed Laser显示文摘We applied the dynamic photoelastic technique to visualize the ultrasound generated in a glass sample by an Nd:YAG pulsed laser.When a laser pulse was incident on the surface of the glass sample covered,by thin layer of black ink,narrow pulses of JongitudinaJ,shear,and surface acoustic waves were seen in the sample.The photoelastic picture also showed that the directivity patterns of ultrasound generated in the present case qualitatively agree with the theoretical prediction for the case of a normal surface-acting force.ZHANG Shouyu ZHANG Pengzhi SHEN Jianzhong DENG Jingjun YING Chongfu 1993Chinese Physics Letters1993,10,12:5
2First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 3Design of metal-organic frameworks for improving pseudo-solid-state magnesium-ion electrolytes:Open metal sites,isoreticular expansion,and framework topology显示文摘The design criteria for metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been established by evaluating the rela-tionship between their key characteristics and magnesium-ion conductivity based on three types of sec-ondary building blocks(Zn_(4)O(CO_(2))_(6):MOF-5 and MOF-177;Cu_(2)(CO_(2))4:MOF-199,MOF-143,MOF-14,and MOF-399;Cu_(2)O_(2)(CO_(2))2:Cu-MOF-74)to achieve pseudo-solid-state magnesium-ion conduction.We found that open-metal sites and channel layouts play a pivotal role in promoting magnesium-ion transport dy-namics at reduced activation energy,transforming MOF scaffolds into ionic-channel analogs.X-ray ab-sorption spectroscopy combined with Raman and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy predicted the chemical environment,solvents,and anions that occupied coordinatively unsaturated metal sites.The chemical compositions of electrolytes determined by^(1)H-NMR(nuclear magnetic resonance)and organic elemental analysis confirmed that isoreticular expansion increases the molar percentage of charge carri-ers,providing high conductivity.The current research systematically reveals the impacts of different MOF characteristics on ionic conduction performance,paving the way for the construction of a new class of fast and selective multivalent-ion pseudo-solid electrolytes.Yun Zheng Junpo Guo De Ning Yike Huang Wen Lei Jing Li Jianding Li Götz Schuck Jingjun Shen Yan Guo Qi Zhang Hao Tian Hou Ian Huaiyu Shao 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,13:0
4Li-and Mg-based borohydrides for hydrogen storage and ionic conductor显示文摘LiBH_(4) and Mg(BH_(4))_(2) with high theoretical hydrogen mass capacity receive significant attentions for hy-drogen storage.Also,these compounds can be potentially applied as solid-state electrolytes with their high ionic conductivity.However,their applications are hindered by the poor kinetics and reversibility for hydrogen storage and low ionic conductivity at room temperature,respectively.To address these challenges,effective strategies towards engineering the hydrogen storage properties and the emerging solid-state electrolytes with improved performances have been summarized.The focuses are on the state-of-the-art developments of Li/Mg-based borohydrides with a parallel comparison of similar methods ap-plied in both hydrogen storage and solid-state electrolytes,particularly on the phase,structure,and thermal properties changes of Li/Mg-based borohydrides induced by milling,ion substitution,coordination,adding additives/catalysts,and hydrides.The similarities and differences between the strategies towards two kinds of applications are also discussed and prospected.The review will shed light on the future development of Li/Mg-based borohydrides for hydrogen storage and solid-state electrolytes.Yike Huang Yun Zheng Jianding Li Xiaozhi Bao Junpo Guo Jingjun Shen Yan Guo Qi Zhang Jing Li Wen Lei Huaiyu Shao 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,22:0
5Performances of a prototype point-contact germanium detector immersed in liquid nitrogen for light dark matter search显示文摘The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum. 6Cusp points and assembly changing motions in the PRR-PR-PRR planar parallel manipulator显示文摘Most parallel manipulators have multiple solutions to the direct kinematic problem.The ability to perform assembly changing motions has received the attention of a few researchers.Cusp points play an important role in the kinematic behavior.This study investigates the cusp points and assembly changing motions in a two degrees of freedom planar parallel manipulator.The direct kinematic problem of the manipulator yields a quartic polynomial equation.Each root in the equation determines the assembly configuration,and four solutions are obtained for a given set of actuated joint coordinates.By regarding the discriminant of the repeated roots of the quartic equation as an implicit function of two actuated joint coordinates,the direct kinematic singularity loci in the joint space are determined by the implicit function.Cusp points are then obtained by the intersection of a quadratic curve and a cubic curve.Two assembly changing motions by encircling different cusp points are highlighted,for each pair of solutions with the same sign of the determinants of the direct Jacobian matrices.Chengwei SHEN Jingjun YU Xu PEI 2023Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2023,18,2:0
