| 1 | First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. | 2 | Nitric oxide-generating compound and bio-clickable peptide mimic for synergistically tailoring surface anti-thrombogenic and anti-microbial dual-functions显示文摘Application of extracorporeal circuits and indwelling medical devices has saved many lives.However,it is accompanied with two major complications:thrombosis and infection.To address this issue,we apply therapeutic nitric oxide gas(NO)and antibacterial peptide for synergistically tailoring such devices for surface anti-thrombogenic and antifouling dual functions.Such functional surface is realized by stepwise conjugation of NO-generating compound of 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid(DOTA)chelated copper ions(Cu-DOTA)and dibenzylcyclooctyne-(DBCO-)modified antimicrobial peptide based on carbodiimide and click chemistry respectively.The integration of peptide and Cu-DOTA grants the modified surface the ability to not only efficiently inhibit bacterial growth,but also catalytically generate NO from endogenous s-nitrosothiols(RSNO)to reduce adhesion and activation of platelets,preventing the formation of thrombus.We envision that the stepwise synergistic modification strategy by using anticoagulant NO and antibacterial peptide would facilitate the surface multifunctional engineering of extracorporeal circuits and indwelling medical devices,with reduced clinical complications associated with thrombosis and infection. | Han Yu Shaoxing Yu Hua Qiu Peng Gao Yingzhong Chen Xin Zhao Qiufen Tu Minggang Zhou Lin Cai Nan Huang Kaiqin Xiong Zhilu Yang | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 3 |
| 3 | A deep learning-integrated phenotyping pipeline for vascular bundle phenotypes and its application in evaluating sap flow in the maize stem显示文摘Plant vascular bundles are responsible for water and material transportation, and their quantitative and functional evaluation is desirable in plant research. At the single-plant level, the number, size, and distribution of vascular bundles vary widely, posing a challenge to automatically and accurately identifying and quantifying them. In this study, a deep learning-integrated phenotyping pipeline was developed to robustly and accurately detect vascular bundles in Computed Tomography(CT) images of stem internodes. Two semantic indicators were used to evaluate and identify a suitable feature extraction network for semantic segmentation models. The epidermis thickness of maize stem was evaluated for the first time and adjacent vascular bundles were improved using an adaptive watershed-based approach. The counting accuracy(R^(2)) of vascular bundles was 0.997 for all types of stem internodes, and the measured accuracy of size traits was over 0.98. | 4 | First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). | 5 | Effect of Nd2O3 doping on the electrical properties of Ba0.96Ca0.04Ti0.90Sn0.10O3 ceramics显示文摘The Ba_(0.96)Ca_(0.04)Ti_(0.90)Sn_(0.10)O_3-xNd_2 O_3(x = 0-0.08%) ceramics were prepared via traditional solid-state sintering method. The influences of Nd3+ substitution on the phase structure, dielectric properties,piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties of the ceramics were investigated. All the samples possess pure BaTiO_3-type perovskite structure. MPB with orthorhombic and tetragonal phase coexist at around x = 0.03-0.04. Nd^(3+) doping decreases both Tc and T_(O-T) to lower temperature. All the samples exhibit an intermediate state with the coexistence of ferroelectric and diffuse relaxor ferroelectric behavior with the addition of Nd^(3+). | 6 | DNN-HMM based acoustic model for continuous pig cough sound recognition显示文摘To detect the respiratory disease through pig cough sound in the early stage,a novel method based on Deep Neural Networks-Hidden Markov Model(DNN-HMM)was proposed to construct an acoustic model for continuous pig cough sound recognition.Noises in the continuous pig sounds were eliminated by the Wiener algorithm based on wavelet thresholding the multitaper spectrum,and the experimental corpus was obtained from the denoised continuous pig sounds.The 39-dimensional Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC)extracted from the corpus were considered as feature vectors.Sounds in pig farms were divided into pig coughs,non-pig coughs,and silence segments.In the HMM,the number of hidden states of pig cough,non-pig cough and silence segments were 5,5 and 3 respectively,and the observation states represented the feature vectors of the continuous pig sound signal.Based on experiments and empirical theory,the DNN model with 3 hidden layers and 100 nodes per layer was used to describe the correspondence between hidden states and observation serials.Through experiments,the context frames of DNN input were set to 5.Under the condition of optimal parameter setting,the traditional acoustic model Gaussian Mixture Model-Hidden Markov Model(GMM-HMM)was compared with DNN-HMM through a 5-fold cross-validation experiment.It was found that the Word Error Rate(WER)of each group in DNN-HMM was lower than that in GMM-HMM,and the average WER was 3.45%lower.At the same time,the best result of the DNN-HMM model was obtained with the lowest WER of 7.54%,and the average WER was 8.03%.The results showed that the method of DNN-HMM based acoustic model for continuous pig cough sound recognition was stable and reliable. | Jian Zhao Xuan Li Wanghong Liu Yun Gao Minggang Lei Hequn Tan Di Yang | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3: | 2 |
| 7 | Generation of transgenic cucumbers with expression of a ten-tandem repeat long-acting GLP-1 analogue and their biological function on diabetic rats显示文摘Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a 30-amino acid peptide hormone, which has the regulatory function of stimulating the secretion of insulin to balance blood glucose levels. In this study, marker-free expression vector pX6 with a fusion gene of ten tandem repeated GLP-1 analog ([Ser8, Gln26 and Asp34]-GLP-1) genes was constructed and transformed into cucumbers by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation method. Four transgenic lines were obtained by PCR and Southern blotting analysis and two transgenic lines successfully expressed the fusion protein (named GLP-T), which was revealed by Western blotting analysis. The biological activity test results showed that the serum glucose level of diabetic rats was significantly decreased after oral administration of the fusion protein GLP-T extracted from the transgenic cucumber fruitage. On the basis of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric and magnetic measurements, it was found that almost all of the Te and a few of the Mn ions were lost from the samples when they were calcined at 1473 K. XRD and SEM results showed that the Fe_(76)Si_9B_(10)P_5 alloy powders remained the amorphous state and the composite was dense. A fusion zone at interface of Fe_(76)Si_9B_(10)P_5 cell body and Zn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 cell wall was observed by TEM, which also indicates the formation of local high temperature. The interface bonding based on the formation of local high temperature in SPS process was observed. It is believed that the tip effect of Zn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 nanoparticles promotes the local discharging and plasmas creation in the gaps, and the discharging energy forms an instantaneous local high temperature to complete the local sintering and the densification of Zn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 particles at a low nominal sinter temperature. Simultaneously, the local high temperature stimulates the adjacent gaps discharging, thus facilitate the continuous formation of new discharging path.
