| 1 | Aggregated spatial distributions of species in a subtropical karst forest,southwestern China显示文摘Aims spatial distribution patterns of species reflect not only the ecological processes but also the habitat features that are related to species distribution.in karst topography,species distribution patterns provide more specific information about their environments.The objectives of this study are as follows:(i)to analyse and explain the spatial distribution patterns of conspecific trees in an old-growth subtropical karst forest;(ii)to investigate pattern changes at different spatial scales;(iii)to test the spatial pattern similarity(or dissimilarity)between trees at different abundances,diameter at breast height classes,canopy layers and different functional groups(shade tolerance and seed dispersal mode);(iv)to examine whether habitat heterogeneity has an important effect on the species spatial distribution.Methods The spatial distributions of woody species with≥20 individuals in a 1-ha subtropical karst forest plot at maolan in southwestern China were quantified using the relative neighbourhood densityΩbased on the average density of conspecific species in a circular neigh-bourhood around each species.Important Findingsaggregated distribution is the dominant pattern in the karst forest,but the ratio of aggregated species in total species number decreases with an increase in spatial scale.less abundant species are more aggregated than most abundant species.aggregation is weaker in larger diameter classes,which is consistent with the prediction of self-thinning.seed dispersal mode influences spatial patterns,with species dispersed by animals being less aggregated than those dispersed by wind and gravity.other species functional traits(e.g.shade tolerance)also influence the species spatial distributions.moreover,differences among species habitat associations,e.g.with rocky outcrops,play a significant role in species spatial distributions.These results indicate that habitat heterogeneity,seed dispersal limitation and self-thinning primarily contribute to the species spatial distributions in this subtropical karst forest. | Zhonghua Zhang Gang Hu Jiedong Zhu Jian Ni | 2013 | Journal of Plant Ecology2013,6,2: | 17 |

| 7 | Perovskite Cathode Materials for Low‑Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells:Fundamentals to Optimization显示文摘Acceleration of the oxygen reduction reaction at the cathode is paramount in the development of low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells.At low operating temperatures between 450 and 600℃,the interactions between the surface and the bulk of the cathode materials greatly impact the electrode kinetics and consequently determine the overall efficacy and long-term stability of the fuel cells.This review will provide an overview of the recent progress in the understanding of surface-bulk interactions in perovskite oxides as well as their impact on cathode reactivity and stability.This review will also summarize current strategies in the development of cathode materials through bulk doping and surface functionalization.In addition,this review will highlight the roles of surface segregation in the mediation of surface and bulk interactions,which have profound impacts on the properties of cathode surfaces and the bulk and therefore overall cathode performance.Although trade-offs between reactivity and stability commonly exist in terms of catalyst design,opportunities also exist in attaining optimal cathode performance through the modulation of both cathode surfaces and bulk using combined strategies.This review will conclude with future research directions involving investigations into the role of oxygen vacancy and mobility in catalysis,the rational modulation of surface-bulk interactions and the use of advanced fabrication techniques,all of which can lead to optimized cathode performance. | Zhiheng Li Mengran Li Zhonghua Zhu | 2022 | Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,2: | 4 |
| 8 | Clonogenic colony-forming ability of hepatic stem cells in the spleens of mice显示文摘To confirm the existence of hepatic stem cells (HSCs), fetal liver cells isolated from mice on embryonic day 13 (ED13) were long-term cultured in vitro. Growth of the cells was observed intensively and characteristics were iden-tified by immunocytochemistry. The results showed that some of the cells grew as colonies, in which some cells ex-pressed AFP, CD34 and Albumin. Then the cells were trans-planted intravenously into irradiated syngeneic mice. At day 12 a number of small hyperplasia nodules were seen in the apparently enlarged spleens of recipient mice. | 11 | Tranexamic acid for acute intracerebral haemorrhage growth based on imaging assessment (TRAIGE): a multicentre, randomised, placebo- controlled trial显示文摘Background Studies show tranexamic acid can reduce the risk of death and early neurological deterioration after intracranial haemorrhage.We aimed to assess whether tranexamic acid reduces haematoma expansion and improves outcome in intracerebral haemorrhage patients susceptible to haemorrhage expansion.Methods We did a prospective,double-blind,randomised,placebo-controlled trial at 10 stroke centres in China.Acute supratentorial intracerebral haemorrhage patients were eligible if they had indication of haemorrhage expansion on admission imaging(eg,spot sign,black hole sign or blend sign),and were treatable within 8 hours of symptom onset.Patients were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive either tranexamic acid or a matching placebo.The primary outcome was intracerebral haematoma growth(>33% relative or>6 mL absolute)at 24 hours.Clinical outcomes were assessed at 90 days.Results Of the 171 included patients,124(72.5%)were male,and the mean age was 55.9±11.6 years.89 patients received tranexamic acid and 82 received placebo.The primary outcome did not differ significantly between the groups:36(40.4%)patients in the tranexamic acid group and 34(41.5%)patients in the placebo group had intracranial haemorrhage growth(OR 0.96,95% CI 0.52 to 1.77,p=0.89).The proportion of death was lower in the tranexamic acid treatment group than placebo group(8.1%vs 10.0%),but there were no significant differences in secondary outcomes including absolute intracranial haemorrhage growth,death and dependency.Conclusions Among patients susceptible to haemorrhage expansion treated within 8 hours of stroke onset,tranexamic acid did not significantly prevent intracerebral haemorrhage growth.Larger studies are needed to assess safety and efficacy of tranexamic acid in intracerebral haemorrhage patients. | Jingyi Liu Ximing Nie Hongqiu Gu Qi Zhou Haixin Sun Ying Tan Dacheng Liu Lina Zheng Jiahui Zhao Yan Wang Yibin Cao Haomeng Zhu Yunpeng Zhang Lijin Yi Yuehua Pu Miao Wen Zhonghua Yang Shengjun Sun Wenzhi Wang Xingquan Zhao Liping Liu Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 3 |
| 12 | First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). | 13 | Experimental study on filtering,transporting, concentrating and focusing of microparticles based on optically induced dielectrophoresis显示文摘The key problem to be solved for the dielectrophoresis (DEP) application is to provide dynamically reconfigurable microelectrodes and low-cost methodology for bioparticle manipulation.The emergence of optically induced DEP (ODEP) based on photoconductive effect provides a potential solution for the above problem.In this paper,an ODEP chip is designed and fabricated,and the corresponding experimental platform was established,whereupon four types of particle manipulation regimes–filtering,transporting,concentrating and focusing based on ODEP are experimentally demonstrated and the operating performances are quantitatively analyzed.The experiment results show that the functions and performances of ODEP manipulation are heavily dependent on the geometrical shape,scales and speed of optical patterns,actuating signal frequency and the electric conductivity of the solution.The manipulation efficiency can increase by more than 50% via increasing the optical line width.Moreover,the efficiency is obviously affected by the inclination angle of the optical oblique lines in the manipulation of particle focusing.Additionally,the maximum velocity of particles increases with the increment of the inside radius and the thickness of the optical trapping ring.Particle manipulation efficiency is always related to signal frequency and solution conductivity,and empirically,satisfactory performance and high efficiency are obtained when the solution electric conductivity ranges from 5×10-4 S/m to 5×10-3 S/m. | ZHU XiaoLu,YIN ZhiFeng,GAO ZhiQiang & NI ZhongHua Jiangsu Key Laboratory for Design and Manufacture of Micro-Nano Biomedical Instruments,Southeast University,Nanjing 211189,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9: | 3 |

The space distribution of electric field and dielectrophoresis forces in different heights were also obtained. On this basis, the core component of the micro manipulation system, that is, photoconductive layer of the chip, was completed in the mate-rial selection, fabricating process and performance analysis testing. Then the voltage drop of the sus-pension and the effective voltage frequency spectrum were obtained. Finally, by combining the machine vision detection with real-time tracking system, the micro/nano bio-particles manipulation platform based on the light-induced dielectrophoreisis was established, and then the manipulations for micro/nano bio-particles, such as quick collection, transport, separation, were implemented. | 15 | Evaluation of Heavy Metals and Pesticide Residues in Dendrobium officinale Produced in Guangxi显示文摘[Objectives]To establish a method for the determination of heavy metals and pesticide residues in Dendrobium officinale produced in Guangxi and its culture substrate.[Methods]The contents of five heavy metals(Pb,Cd,As,Hg and Cu)were determined by the atomic absorption spectrophotometric(AAS)method;residues of 9 organochlorine pesticides(α-BHC,β-BHC,γ-BHC,δ-BHC,p,p′-DDT,p,p′-DDE,p,p′-DDD,o,p′-DDT and pentachloronitrobenzene)were determined by gas chromatography(GC).[Results]The contents of five heavy metals in the medicinal materials of D.officinale produced in Guangxi were 0.96,0.21,0.021 mg/kg,and not detected,and 0.35 mg/kg.The contents of five heavy metals in the culture substrate were 0.03,0.19,0.21,0.004 and 1.80 mg/kg,respectively;the content of 9 organochlorine pesticide residues in the sample was not detected.[Conclusions]The detection results of heavy metal content and organochlorine pesticide residues in D.officinale produced in Guangxi and its substrate are consistent with the limit requirements of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.This experiment is expected to provide reliable data reference for ensuring the safety of the drug resources of D.officinale in Guangxi. | Hua ZHU Ruiting HE Piaoling HUANG Wenqi YANG Anda WEI Yuanjing TAO Zhonghua DAI | 2019 | Medicinal Plant2019,10,5: | 3 |
| 16 | Effect of external surface of HZSM-5 zeolite on product distribution in the conversion of methanol to hydrocarbons显示文摘The external surface of HZSM-5 zeolite was passivated by liquid siliceous deposition and by acidic sites poisoning with lepidine, respectively.Then methanol-to-hydrocarbons(MTH) reaction was investigated over the above as-prepared catalysts and the dissoluble coke on these used catalysts was analyzed by GC-MS, to study the role of the external surface of HZSM-5 in the catalytic reaction. Comparison with the experimental results based on parent ZSM-5 showed that the product distribution of MTH reaction was obviously influenced by the external surface.Evidences were listed as follows:(1) the final product on parent HZSM-5 showed higher aromatic selectivity, lower olefin selectivity, lower ratio of C2/C3+aliphatics and higher ratio of C3/C4+aliphatics than the reaction mixture produced by the sole catalysis of acidic sites in HZSM-5channel;(2) a little of pentamethylbenzene and hexamethylbenzene in the product on parent HZSM-5, was produced via multi-methylation of methylbenzene on the external surface. | 17 | A Recommendation Mechanism for Web Publishing Based on Sentiment Analysis of Microblog显示文摘Microblog is a social platform with huge user community and mass data. We propose a semantic recommendation mechanism based on sentiment analysis for microblog. Firstly, the keywords and sensibility words in this mechanism are extracted by natural language processing including segmentation, lexical analysis and strategy selection. Then, we query the background knowledge base based on linked open data(LOD) with the basic information of users. The experiment result shows that the accuracy of recommendation is within the range of 70%-89% with sentiment analysis and semantic query. | 20 | Serial nuclear transfer improves the development of interspecies reconstructed giant panda (Aluropoda melanoleucd) embryos显示文摘Interspecies somatic nuclear transfer (NT) may provide a new approach for preservation of the endangered rare species. Previous interspecies cloning studies have shown that a nucleus from a quiescent somatic cell supports early development of reconstructed embryos in the ooplasm from another species. In this study, we transferred nonqui-escent somatic cells from a giant panda into the perivitelline space of the enucleated rabbit oocytes. After electrofusion (at the rate of 71.6%) and electrical activation, 4.2% of the panda-rabbit reconstructed embryos developed to blastocyst in vitro. For improving the development rate of reconstructed embryos, we used serial NT in this study, i.e. blas-tomeres from reconstructed morulae were transferred into the perivitelline space of the enucleated rabbit oocytes. The fusion rates in the groups of serial I, serial Ⅱ and serial Ⅲ were 79.5%, 84.1% and 78.0%, respectively, having no difference with that of somatic group.
