| 2 | Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging evaluation of pelvic lymph node metastasis in bladder cancer显示文摘Background:Accurate evaluation of lymph node metastasis in bladder cancer(BCa)is important for disease staging,treatment selection,and prognosis prediction.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of com-puted tomography(CT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for metastatic lymph nodes in BCa and establish criteria of imaging diagnosis.Methods:We retrospectively assessed the imaging characteristics of 191 BCa patients who underwent radical cys-tectomy.The data regarding size,shape,density,and diffusion of the lymph nodes on CT and/or MRI were obtained and analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis test and χ^(2) test.The optimal cutoff value for the size of metastatic node was deter-mined using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis.Results:A total of 184 out of 3317 resected lymph nodes were diagnosed as metastatic lymph nodes.Among 82 imaging-detectable lymph nodes,51 were confirmed to be positive for metastasis.The detection rate of metastatic nodes increased along with more advanced tumor stage(P<0.001).Once the ratio of short-to long-axis diameter≤0.4 or fatty hilum was observed in lymph nodes on imaging,it indicated non-metastases.Besides,lymph nodes with spiculate or obscure margin or necrosis indicated metastases.Furthermore,the short diameter of 6.8 mm was the optimal threshold to diagnose metastatic lymph node,with the area under ROC curve of 0.815.Conclusions:The probability of metastatic nodes significantly increased with more advanced T stages.Once lymph nodes are detected on imaging,the characteristic signs should be paid attention to.The short diameter>6.8 mm may indicate metastatic lymph nodes in BCa. | Yong Li Feiyu Diao Siya Shi Kaiwen Li Wangshu Zhu Shaoxu Wu Tianxin Lin | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 7 |
| 3 | Enhanced antibacterial behavior of a novel Cu-bearing high-entropy alloy显示文摘Contact infection of bacteria and viruses has been a critical threat to human health. The worldwideoutbreak of COVID-19 put forward urgent requirements for the research and development of the selfantibacterial materials, especially the antibacterial alloys. Based on the concept of high-entropy alloys, thepresent work designed and prepared a novel Co_(0.4)FeCr_(0.9)Cu_(0.3) antibacterial high-entropy alloy with superior antibacterial properties without intricate or rigorous annealing processes, which outperform the antibacterial stainless steels. The antibacterial tests presented a 99.97% antibacterial rate against Escherichiacoli and a 99.96% antibacterial rate against Staphylococcus aureus after 24 h. In contrast, the classic antibacterial copper-bearing stainless steel only performed the 71.50% and 80.84% antibacterial rate, respectively. The results of the reactive oxygen species analysis indicated that the copper ion release and theimmediate contact with copper-rich phase had a synergistic effect in enhancing antibacterial properties.Moreover, this alloy exhibited excellent corrosion resistance when compared with the classic antibacterialstainless steels, and the compression test indicated the yield strength of the alloy was 1015 MPa. | 5 | Detection of TNT by a molecularly imprinted polymer film-based surface plasmon resonance sensor显示文摘A surface plasmon resonance(SPR) sensor using a molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) film as a recognition element for detection of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT) was developed.The TNT-imprinted polymer film was prepared by thermo initiated polymerization on the bare Au surface of an SPR sensor chip.Template TNT molecules were quickly removed with an organic solution of acetonitrile/acetic acid(9:1,v/v),causing a shift of 0.7° in SPR angle.The limit of detection for TNT was demonstrated to be as low as 1×10-8 mol/L.In the concentration range of 1×10-8-1×10-5 mol/L,the change of SPR angle was linear with the negative logarithm of TNT concentration,Selectivity studies showed that the SPR sensor had no response to TNT analogues 2,4,5-trinitrotoluene and 1,3,5-trinitrohexahydro-1,3,5-triazine at a concentration of 1×10-4 mol/L.The results suggest that the SPR sensor combined with a MIP film has the advantages of high sensitivity and selectivity,and long-term stability toward the analyte TNT. | BAO Han WEI TianXin LI XiuLi ZHAO Zhe CUI He ZHANG Peng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17: | 4 |

| 8 | A novel as-cast precipitation-strengthened Al_(0.5)V_(0.1)FeCrMnNi_(0.9) high-entropy alloy with high strength and plasticity显示文摘A novel Al_(0.5)V_(0.1)FeCrMnNi_(0.9) high-entropy alloy was designed to achieve enhanced strength and plasticity. The as-cast Al_(0.5)V_(0.1)FeCrMnNi_(0.9) alloy shows a typical dendritic microstructure consisting of a body-centered cubic-structured matrix phase and a B2-structured nanoprecipitate phase. Nanoprecipitates are homogeneous and dispersed in the matrix. The as-cast Al_(0.5)V_(0.1)FeCrMnNi_(0.9) alloy exhibits a compressive yield strength of 1.104 GPa, a fracture strength of 2.926 GPa, and a fracture strain of 45.7%. The product of strength and plasticity of this alloy is 133.72 GPa%, which is superior to that of most of the reported high-entropy alloys. | 9 | HSF1 facilitates the multistep process of lymphatic metastasis in bladder cancer via a novel PRMT5-WDR5-dependent transcriptional program显示文摘Background:Lymphatic metastasis has been associated with poor prognosis in bladder cancer patients with limited therapeutic options.Emerging evidence shows that heat shock factor 1(HSF1)drives diversified transcriptome to promote tumor growth and serves as a promising therapeutic target.However,the roles of HSF1 in lymphatic metastasis remain largely unknown.Herein,we aimed to illustrate the clinical roles and mechanisms of HSF1 in the lymphatic metastasis of bladder cancer and explore its therapeutic potential.Methods:We screened the most relevant gene to lymphatic metastasis among overexpressed heat shock factors(HSFs)and heat shock proteins(HSPs),and analyzed its clinical relevance in three cohorts.Functional in vitro and in vivo assays were performed in HSF1-silenced and-regained models.We also used Coimmunoprecipitation to identify the binding proteins of HSF1 and chromatin immunoprecipitation and dual-luciferase reporter assays to investigate the transcriptional program directed by HSF1.The pharmacological inhibitor of HSF1,KRIBB11,was evaluated in popliteal lymph node metastasis models and patientderived xenograft models of bladder cancer.Results:HSF1 expression was positively associated with lymphatic metastasis status,tumor stage,advanced grade,and poor prognosis of bladder cancer.Importantly,HSF1 enhanced the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of cancer cells in primary tumor to initiate metastasis,proliferation of cancer cells in lymph nodes,and macrophages infiltration to facilitate multistep lymphatic metastasis.Mechanistically,HSF1 interacted with protein arginine methyltransferase 5(PRMT5)and jointly induced the monomethylation of histone H3 at arginine 2(H3R2me1)and symmetric dimethylation of histone H3 at arginine 2(H3R2me2s).This recruited the WD repeat domain 5(WDR5)/mixed-lineage leukemia(MLL)complex to increase the trimethylation of histone H3 at lysine 4(H3K4me3);resulting in upregulation of lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1(LEF1),matrix metallopeptidase 9(MMP9),C-C motif chemokine ligand 20(CCL20),and E2F transcription factor 2(E2F2).Application of KRIBB11 significantly inhibited the lymphatic metastasis of bladder cancer with no significant toxicity.Conclusion:Our findings reveal a novel transcriptional program directed by the HSF1-PRMT5-WDR5 axis during the multistep process of lymphatic metastasis in bladder cancer.Targeting HSF1 could be a multipotent and promising therapeutic strategy for bladder cancer patients with lymphatic metastasis. | Ming Huang Wen Dong Ruihui Xie Jilin Wu Qiao Su Wuguo Li Kai Yao Yuelong Chen Qianghua Zhou Qiang Zhang Wenwen Li Liang Cheng Shengmeng Peng Siting Chen Jian Huang Xu Chen Tianxin Lin | 2022 | Cancer Communications2022,42,5: | 2 |
| 10 | Fluorescent probe gold nanodots to quick detect Cr(VI) via oxidoreduction quenching process显示文摘A method is described here for the quickly(<30 s) accurate determination of Cr(VI)(Cr_2O_7^(2-)), based on fluorescent probes gold nanodots(AuNDs, excitation/emission peaks at 395/604 nm) coated with glutathione(GSH). The fluorescence of the AuNDs responses linearly to Cr(VI) concentrations, ranging widely from 1 nM to 10 m M with detection limit as low as 0.35 nM. At the same time, the AuNDs is demonstrated highly selective for Cr(VI) detection over other acid group ions and metal ions without any masking reagent. These make probability for practical use. The quenching mechanism is investigated deeply via fluorescent lifetime, XPS and TEM analysis. Different from most reported quenching explanation of aggregation derived from charge attraction, these results verify the redox reaction between Cr_2O_7^(2-)and sulfhydryl(–S) of GSH. The Au(I)–S bonds of AuNDs broke, accompanies with the oxidation of –S to form S–S bonds. As a result, AuNDs cross linked to each other. In the end, the fluorescence quenched. | 15 | Comparison of UV and UV-LED activated sodium percarbonate for the degradation of O-desmethylvenlafaxine显示文摘As an active metabolite of venlafaxine and emerging antidepressant,Odesmethylvenlafaxine(ODVEN) was widely detected in different water bodies,which caused potential harm to human health and environmental safety.In this study,the comparative work on the ODVEN degradation by UV(254 nm) and UV-LED(275 nm) activated sodium percarbonate(SPC) systems was systematically performed.The higher removal rate of ODVEN can be achieved under UV-LED direct photolysis(14.99%) than UV direct photolysis(4.57%) due to the higher values of photolysis coefficient at the wavelength 275nm.Significant synergistic effects were observed in the UV/SPC(80.38%) and UV-LED/SPC(53.57%) systems and the former exhibited better performance for the elimination of ODVEN.The degradation of ODVEN all followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics well in these processes,and the pseudo-first-order rate constant(kobs) increased with increasing SPC concentration.Radicals quenching experiments demonstrated that both ·OH and CO_(3)·-were involved in the degradation of ODVEN and the second-order rate constant of ODVEN with CO_(3)·-(1.58 × 10^(8)(mol/L)-1sec-1) was reported for the first time based on competitive kinetic method.The introduction of HA,Cl-,NO_(3)-and HCO_(3)-inhibited the ODVEN degradation to varying degrees in the both processes.According to quantum chemical calculation,radical addition at the ortho-position of the phenolic hydroxyl group was confirmed to be the main reaction pathways for the oxidation of ODVEN by·OH.In addition,the oxidation of ODVEN may involve the demethylation,H-abstraction,OH^(-)addition and C-N bond cleavage.Eventually,the UV-LED/SPC process was considered to be more cost-effective compared to the UV/SPC process,although the UV/SPC process possessed a higher removal rate of ODVEN. | Jing Deng Anhong Cai Xiao Ling Qian Sun Tianxin Zhu Qingsong Li Xueyan Li Weizhu Chen | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 1 |

| 17 | LessNet:Lightweight and efficient semantic segmentation for large‐scale point clouds显示文摘With a wide range of applications in autonomous driving and robotics,semantic seg-mentation for large‐scale outdoor point clouds is a critical and challenging issue.Due to the large number and irregular arrangement of point clouds,it is difficult to balance the efficiency and effectiveness.In this paper,we propose LessNet,a lightweight and efficient voxel‐based method for LiDAR‐only semantic segmentation,taking advantage of cylin-drical partition and intra‐voxel feature fusion.Specifically,we use a cylindrical partition method to distribute the outdoor point clouds more evenly in voxels.To better encode the voxel features,we adopt an intra‐voxel aggregation method without querying neighbours.The voxel features are further input into a lightweight and effective 3D U‐net to aggregate local features and dilate the receptive field.Extensive experiments prove the satisfied semantic segmentation performance and the improvement of each component in our proposed framework.Our method is capable of processing more than one million point clouds at a time while retaining low latency and few parameters.Moreover,our method achieves comparable performance with state‐of‐the‐art approaches and out-performs all projection‐based methods on the SemanticKITTI benchmark. | Guoqiang Feng Weilong Li Xiaolin Zhao Xuemeng Yang Xin Kong TianXin Huang Jinhao Cui | 2022 | IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2022,4,2: | 0 |
| 18 | Photonic slide rule with metasurfaces显示文摘As an elementary particle,a photon that carries information in frequency,polarization,phase,and amplitude,plays a crucial role in modern science and technology.However,how to retrieve the full information of unknown photons in.an ultracompact manner over broad bandwidth remains a challenging task with growing importance.Here,we demonstrate a versatile photonic slide rule based on an ll-silicon metasurface that enables uS to reconstruct incident photons'frequency and polarization state.The underlying mechanism relies on the coherent interactions of frequency-driven phase diagrams which rotate at various angular velocities within broad bandwidth.The rotation direction and speed are determined by the topological charge and phase dispersion.Specificall,our metasurface leverages both achromatically focusing and azimuthally evolving phases with topological charges+1 and-1 to ensure the confocal annular intensity ditributions.The combination of geometric phase and interference holography allows the joint manipulations of two distinct group delay coverages to realize angle-resolved in-pair spots in a.transverse manner-a behavior that would disperse along longitudinal direction in conventional implementations.The spin-orbital coupling between the incident photons and vortex phases provides routing for the simultaneous identifcation of the photons'frequency and circular polarization state through recognizing the spots'locations.Our work provides an analog of the conventional slide rule to flexibly characterize the photons in an ultracompact and multifunctional way and may find applications in integrated optical circuits or pocketable devices. | Feilong Yu Jin Chen Lujun Huang Zengyue Zhao Jiuxu Wang Rong Jin Jian Chen Jian Wang Andrey E.Miroshnichenko Tianxin Li Guanhai Li Xiaoshuang Chen Wei Lu | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,4: | 0 |
| 19 | Effects of Supplemental Amount of Tuanfeng Lotus Seed Powder on Quality of Silver Carp Surimi Products显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve the gel properties of freshwater surimi and its products. [Methods] Tuanfeng lotus seed powder was added to frozen silver carp, and the relationship between the addiamount of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder(1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5%) and the quality of surimi products was studied, so as to improve the quality of surimi products. [Results] The water holding capacity(86.71%±0.36%), hardness(3 566.64±51.15) g, chewiness(2 697.16±15.81) g and gel strength(692.54±23.19) of surimi products increased to the maximums when the addition amount of lotus seed powder was 3%. Meanwhile, the cooking loss rate was reduced to the minimum(13.00%±0.17%), and the sensory quality was the best, although the whiteness of surimi products decreased slightly with the increase of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder. Therefore, the quality of silver carp surimi products could be improved obviously when the dosage of Tuanfeng lotus seed powder was 3%.
