| 1 | A case study of spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture in the Loess Plateau,western China:A geostatistical approach显示文摘Soil moisture distribution shows highly variation both spatially and temporally. This study assesses the spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture on a hill-slope scale in the Loess Plateau in West China by using a geostatistical approach. Soil moisture was measured by time-domain reflectometry(TDR) in 313 samples. Two kinds of sampling scales were used(2 x 2 m and 20 x 20 m) at two soil layers(0-30 cm and 30-60 cm). The general characteristics of soil moisture were analyzed by a classical statistics method,and the spatial heterogeneity of soil moisture was analyzed using a geostatistical approach. The results showed that the spherical model is the best-fit model to simulate soil moisture on the experimental hill-slope. The parameters of this model indicated that the spatial dependence of soil moisture in the selected hill-slope was moderate. Even the 2 x 2 m sampling scale was too coarse to show the detailed spatial variances of soil moisture in this area. The dependent distance increased from 27.4 m to 494.16 m as the sampling scale became coarse(from 2 x 2 m to 20 x 20 m). A map of soil moisture was generated by using original soil moisture data and interpolated values determined by the Kriging method. The average soil moisture(area weighted) in the different layers of soil was calculated on the basis of this map(10.94% for the 0-30 cm soil layer,11.88% for the 30-60 cm soil layer). | 2 | Spatial and temporal distribution of acetochlor in sediments and riparian soils of the Songhua River Basin in northeastern China显示文摘The Songhua River Basin is a burgeoning agricultural area in the modern times in China.Particularly in recent years,increasing chemical fertilizers and pesticides have been applied with the development of agricultural production.However,the situation of nonpoint source pollution (NSP) from agricultural production in this basin is still obscure.In order to solve the problem,the occurrence and distribution of acetochlor in sediments and riparian soils of the Songhua River Basin before rain season and after rain season were investigated.In addition,total organic carbon was analyzed.The result showed that the concentration of acetochlor ranged from 0.47 to 11.76 μg/kg in sediments and 0.03 to 709.37 μg/kg in riparian soils.During the high flow period in 2009,the mean concentration was 4.79 μg/kg in sediments and 0.75 μg/kg in riparian soils,respectively.Similarly,the mean concentration was 2.53 μg/kg in sediments and 61.36 μg/kg in riparian soils,during the average flow period in 2010.There was a significant correlation between the concentration of acetochlor and total organic carbon in surface sediments.Moreover,the distribution of acetochlor in sediments of the Songhua River was significantly correlated to land use and topography of the watershed.The investigated data suggested that the concentration of acetochlor in the Songnen Plain and the Sanjiang Plain was higher than that in the other areas of the basin,and riparian buffering zones in these areas had been destroyed by human activities.The optimal agricultural measures to alleviate the contamination of pesticides should be adopted,including controlling agricultural application of acetochlor and ecological restoration of riparian buffering strips. | Xiaoyin Sun Qixing Zhou Wenjie Ren Xuhui Li Liping Ren | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,10: | 9 |
| 3 | Spatial-temporal Variation of Extreme Precipitation Events in Northwest China During 1961-2010显示文摘Using the daily precipitation data of 118 meteorological stations in Northwest China from January 1,1961 to December 31,2010,we analyzed extreme precipitation events from prime precipitation data by applying R-language Climate Index( RClimDex).The spatial-temporal change characteristics in the past 50 years have been examined using the method of trend analysis,Mann-Kendall and the spatial analysis module of Arcgis9.2.The results show that the spatial distribution of the indices for extreme precipitation in Northwest China is greatly influenced by geographic location,atmospheric circulation and topography,and the spatial difference of extreme precipitation events is very evident,while the indices reduce from the southeast to the northwest except Consecutive Dry Days( CDD).In Xinjiang region,high values appear in Tianshan Mountains and decrease towards the south and north respectively.In the past 50 years,the temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Northwest China has a great spatial distinction.It shows that the variation tendency is opposite between the east( decrease) and the west( increase),and CDD has a decreasing tendency while other indices increase.For each region,it is found that the indices for extreme precipitation in Xinjiang and Qinghai Province shows an increasing trend,and it is remarkable in Tianshan Mountains,the north of Xinjiang and the northeast of Qinghai Province.The temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Ningxia,Shaanxi and Gansu has a large spatial distinction.The stations which have an increasing tend are mainly found in the north of Ningxia,south of Shaanxi and Hexi Corridor of Gansu.However,the south of Ningxia,north of Shaanxi and Longnan of Gansu Province mainly present a decreasing trend.The temporal variation tendency of the indices for extreme precipitation in Inner Mongolia is not obvious.Overall,the east part of Northwest China has a dry tendency,while the west part has an opposite trend. | Lian Lishu Xu Shujing Li Zhifu Sun Xiaoyin | 2014 | Meteorological and Environmental Research2014,5,1: | 5 |
| 4 | Mechanism and effect of Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) on serum calcium in spontaneously hypertensive rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the impact of Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) on spontaneously hypertensive rats via blood pressure, serum calcium, vascular smooth muscle membrane L-type calcium channel α1 C subunit (CaL-α1C), plasma membrane calcium-ATPase (PMCA) mRNA expression, and the L-type calcium channel in vascular smooth muscle cells. METHODS:Twelve-week-old male rats with spontaneous hypertension were divided into three groups: a Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) group (group 1), a nifedipine group (group 2), and a distilled water group (group 3). All were given a four-week treatment. Blood pressure and dissociative serum calcium were examined before treatment. Blood pressure was taken every week during treatment. Atomic absorption spectrometry was used to examine dissociative serum calcium. Re-verse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was used to examine the expression of CaL-α1C and PM-CA1 mRNA. The patch clamp technique was used to examine the electrophysiological characteristics of the vascular smooth muscle cell calcium channels. RESULTS: After treatment, blood pressure of the Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) group lowered but not significantly (P>0.05). Blood pressure of the nifedipine group lowered significantly (P<0.05). Blood pressure of the distilled water group remained high. The concentration of serum calcium in the Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) and the distilled water groups lowered (P<0.05). Expression of CaL-α1C mRNA in the nifedipine group decreased compared with the distilled water group (P<0.01). There was the decreasing trend in the Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) group, but it was not statistically significant. Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) also had effects on the expression of PMCA1 mRNA but with- out statistical significance. However, there was a significant decreasing effect on vascular smooth muscle cell I Ca-L flow. CONCLUSION: This study indicated that Shijueming (Concha Haliotidis) could increase serum calcium and decrease blood pressure. | 6 | The role of a drug-loaded poly(lactic co-glycolic acid)(PLGA) copolymer stent in the treatment of ovarian cancer显示文摘Objectives:Cisplatin(CDDP)is a widely used and effective basic chemotherapeutic drug for the treatment of a variety of tumors,including ovarian cancer.However,adverse side effects and acquired drug resistance are observed in the clinical application of CDDP.Identifying a mode of administration that can alleviate side effects and reduce drug resistance has become a promising strategy to solve this problem.Methods:In this study,3 D printing technology was used to prepare a CDDP-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(CDDP-PLGA)polymer compound stent,and its physicochemical properties and cytotoxicity were evaluated both in vitro and in vivo.Results:The CDDP-PLGA stent had a significant effect on cell proliferation and apoptosis and clearly decreased the size of subcutaneous tumors in nude mice,whereas the systemic side effects were mild compared with those of intraperitoneal CDDP injection.Compared with the control group,CDDP-PLGA significantly increased the mRNA and protein levels of p-glycoprotein(P<0.01;P<0.01)and decreased vascular endothelial growth factor mRNA(P<0.05)and protein levels(P<0.01),however,CDDP-PLGA significantly decreased the mR NA and protein levels of p-glycoprotein(P<0.01;P<0.01)and vascular endothelial growth factor(P<0.01;P<0.01),which are associated with chemoresistance,in subcutaneous tumor tissue.Immunohistochemistry assay results revealed that,in the CDDP-PLGA group,the staining of the proliferation-related genes Ki67 and PCNA were lightly,and the apoptosis-related gene caspase-3 stained deeply.Conclusions:PLGA biomaterials loaded with CDDP,as compared with the same amount of free CDDP,showed good efficacy in terms of cytotoxicity,as evidenced by changes in apoptosis.Continuous local CDDP release can decrease the systemic side effects of this drug and the occurrence of drug resistance and angiogenesis,and improve the therapeutic effect.This new approach may be an effective strategy for the local treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer. | Yanqing Wang Xiaoyin Qiao Xiao Yang Mengqin Yuan Shu Xian Li Zhang Dongyong Yang Shiyi Liu Fangfang Dai Zhikai Tan Yanxiang Cheng | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 2 |
