| 5 | Utility of recognizing early electrocardiogram changes in bronchogenic Takotsubo cardiomyopathy: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Takotsubo cardiomyopathy(TCM) is a transient reversible systolic dysfunction,estimated to be the culprit in 1%-2% of patients presenting with clinical symptoms of acute coronary syndrome(ACS). TCM was previously thought to be indistinguishable from ACS on the basis of electrocardiogram(EKG) findings;many authors now describe specific EKG changes that distinguish TCM from ACS as well as aid in early recognition of TCM.CASE SUMMARY This unique case presentation illustrates an uncommon subtype of TCM, and very clearly exemplifies the specific EKG changes meant to aid in distinguishing TCM from ACS. A bronchogenic subtype of TCM has been proposed, given its prevalence and distinguishing features from TCM without pulmonary pathology;this case exemplifies that notion. The specific EKG changes of low QRS voltage and attenuation of the amplitude of the QRS complex are now being noted in the EKGs of TCM patients. This patient presented for worsening shortness of breath and increased productive cough; her EKG revealed ST elevations in leads V3-V6,and low voltage QRS complexes when compared to previous EKG from 12 wk ago; troponin peaked at 5.16 ng/mL. Left heart catheterization did not reveal significant lesions and left ventriculogram findings were consistent with TCM.Patient was treated for COPD exacerbation, her symptoms improved significantly; she was sent home on the appropriate medications.CONCLUSION This case exemplifies EKG changes noted in TCM patients who may aid in early detection and appropriate treatment of TCM. | Maria Khan Husam Watti Khagendra Dahal Paari Dominic | 2019 | World Journal of Cardiology2019,11,3: | 1 |

| 8 | Non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia as an initial presentation of hepatocellular carcinoma coupled with end-stage liver cirrhosis: A case report and review of literature显示文摘BACKGROUND Non-islet cell tumor hypoglycemia(NICTH)is a rare cause of persistent hypoglycemia seen in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).It is likely to be underdiagnosed especially in the patients with poor hepatic function and malnutrition.Herein,we report a rare case of NICTH as the initial presentation of HCC in a patient with chronic hypoglycemia due to end-stage liver cirrhosis.CASE SUMMARY A 62-year-old male with chronic fasting hypoglycemia secondary to end-stage hepatitis C-related cirrhosis,presented with altered mental status and dizziness.He was found to have severe hypoglycemia refractory to glucose supplements.Imaging studies and biopsy discovered well differentiated HCC without metastasis.Further evaluation showed low insulin,C-peptide and betahydroxybutyrate along with a high insulin-like growth factor-2/insulin-like growth factor ratio,consistent with the diagnosis of NICTH.As patient was not a candidate for surgical resection or chemotherapy,he was started on prednisolone with some improvements in the glucose homeostasis,but soon decompensated after a superimposed hospital acquired pneumonia.CONCLUSION NICTH can occur as the sole initial presentation of HCC and is often difficult to correct without tumor removal.Clinicians should maintain high clinical suspicion for early recognition of paraneoplastic NICTH in patients at risk for HCC,even those with chronic fasting hypoglycemia in the setting of severe hepatic failure and malnutrition. | Bo Yu Rana Douli Jose Amaya Suarez Victor Perez Gutierrez Mohammad Aldiabat Maria Khan | 2020 | World Journal of Hepatology2020,12,8: | 1 |

| 11 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 13 | Development of Molecular Marker Linked with Cercospora Leaf Spot (CLS) Disease Resistance in Vigna radiata, Cloning, and Expression for Evaluating Antifungal Activity against Cercospora canescens显示文摘We developed a molecular marker for MAS of mungbean resistant varieties against CLS from the consensus sequence(MB-CLsRG)of identified RGAs(MB-ClsRCaG1 and MB-ClsRCaG2).The MB-CLsRG sequence-specific primer pair was used to screen Cercospora leaf spot(CLS)resistant varieties of mungbean in genomic analysis that showed congruency with phenotypic screening.Validation of molecular marker linkage with CLS resistance was performed using rtPCR in transcriptomic analysis.The sequenced PCR products showed 100%homology with MB-CLsRG sequence and putative disease resistance proteins that confirmed the linkage of molecular marker with CLS resistance in mungbean.The antifungal potential of MB-CLsRG gene encoding protein was assessed.The MB-CLsRG gene sequence was cloned in the E.coli expression vector for recombinant protein production.The recombinant protein was then investigated for its in vitro antifungal potential against Cercospora canescens.The in vitro investigation showed strong antifungal activity of recombinant protein as it restricted the growth of fungal mycelial mass.The results validated the linkage of developed marker with CLS-resistant mungbean varieties;therefore,it can be used to screen resistant varieties from a large population in MAS.Moreover,the recombinant protein of the MB-CLsRG gene sequence revealed antifungal potential,which proved the gene sequence could be suitable to use in transgenic plants technology to develop fungal-resistant transgenic crops. | Maria Babar Siddra Ijaz Imran Ul Haq Muhammad Sarwar Khan | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Integration of Sequence Stratigraphic Analysis and 3D Geostatistical Modeling of Pliocene–Pleistocene Delta,F3 Block,Netherlands显示文摘This research is focused on the analysis of the sequence stratigraphic units of F3 Block,within a wave-dominated delta of Plio–Pleistocene age.Three wells of F3 block and a 3D seismic data,are utilized in this research.The conventional techniques of 3D seismic interpretation were utilized to mark the 11 surfaces on the seismic section.Integration of seismic sequence stratigraphic interpretation,using well logs,and subsequent 3D geostatistical modeling,using seismic data,aided to evaluate the shallow hydrocarbon traps.The resulting models were obtained using System Tract and Facies models,which were generated by using sequential stimulation method and their variograms made by spherical method,moreover,these models are validated via histograms.The CDF curve generated from upscaling of well logs using geometric method,shows a good relation with less percentage of errors(1 to 2 for Facies and 3 to 4 for System Tract models)between upscaled and raw data that complements the resulted models.These approaches help us to delineate the best possible reservoir,lateral extent of system tracts(LST and/or HST)in the respective surface,and distribution of sand and shale in the delta.The clinoform break points alteration observed on seismic sections,also validates the sequence stratigraphic interpretation.The GR log-based Facies model and sequence stratigraphy-based System Tract model of SU-04-2 showed the reservoir characteristics,presence of sand bodies and majorly LST,respectively,mainly adjacent to the main fault of the studied area.Moreover,on the seismic section,SU-04-2 exhibits the presence of gas pockets at the same location that also complements the generated Facies and System Tract models.The generated models can be utilized for any similar kind of study and for the further research in the F3 block reservoir characterization. | Haris Ahmed KHAN Ali Asghar SHAHID Muhammad Jahangir KHAN Taher ZOUAGHI Maria Dolores ALVAREZ Syed Danial Mehdi NAQVI | 2023 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,1: | 0 |

The peristaltic mechanism plays a crucial role in understanding numerous biological flows. In thispaper, we present a theoretical investigation of the double diffusion convection in the peristaltic transport of aPrandtl nanofluid through an asymmetric tapered channel under the combined action of thermal radiation andan induced magnetic field. The equations for the current flow scenario are developed, incorporating relevantassumptions, and considering the effect of viscous dissipation. The impact of thermal radiation and doublediffusion on public health is of particular interest. For instance, infrared radiation techniques have been used totreat various skin-related diseases and can also be employed as a measure of thermotherapy for some bones toenhance blood circulation, with radiation increasing blood flow by approximately 80%. To solve the governingequations, we employ a numerical method with the aid of symbolic software such as Mathematica and MATLAB.The velocity, magnetic force function, pressure rise, temperature, solute (species) concentration, and nanoparticlevolume fraction profiles are analytically derived and graphically displayed.
