1Energy Storage Performance of a PCM in the Solar Storage Tank显示文摘High-temperature solar thermal power station with solar energy storage is one of the effective ways to solve energy shortage and environmental pollution. The heat storage characteristics of phase change materials in solar energy storage tanks directly affect the performance of the system and its future promotion and utilization. Based on the knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics and engineering thermodynamics, this paper uses MATLAB software to compile the dynamic heat storage characteristics calculation program of phase change materials in energy storage tanks, and verify the results. This paper analyzes the phase change heat storage process with three PCM initial temperatures and three HTF speeds. The results show that when the initial temperature of the PCM changes from 185°C to 210°C, the latent heat storage heat increases by 21.8%, and the total heat storage decreases. Increasing the HTF speed from 1.8 m/s to 2.2 m/s, the melting time was reduced from 414 minutes to 390 minutes, and the total heat storage and sensible heat storage were also increased. The results also show that changing the initial temperature of the PCM and the flow rate of the HTF will change the thermal storage performance of the system. 2Entinostat,a classⅠselective histone deacetylase inhibitor,plus exemestane for Chinese patients with hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer:A multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,phase 3 trial显示文摘Entinostat plus exemestane in hormone receptor-positive(HR+)advanced breast cancer(ABC)previously showed encouraging outcomes.This multicenter phase 3 trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of entinostat plus exemestane in Chinese patients with HR+ABC that relapsed/progressed after≥1 endocrine therapy.Patients were randomized(2:1)to oral exemestane 25 mg/day plus entinostat(n=235)or placebo(n=119)5 mg/week in 28-day cycles.The primary endpoint was the independent radiographic committee(IRC)-assessed progression-free survival(PFS).The median age was 52(range,28—75)years and 222(62.7%)patients were postmenopausal.CDK4/6 inhibitors and fulvestrant were previously used in 23(6.5%)and 92(26.0%)patients,respectively.The baseline characteristics were comparable between the entinostat and placebo groups.The median PFS was 6.32(95%CI,5.30—9.11)and 3.72(95%CI,1.91—5.49)months in the entinostat and placebo groups(HR,0.76;95%CI,0.58—0.98;P=0.046),respectively.Grade≥3 adverse events(AEs)occurred in 154(65.5%)patients in the entinostat group versus 23(19.3%)in the placebo group,and the most common grade≥3 treatment-related AEs were neutropenia[103(43.8%)],thrombocytopenia[20(8.5%)],and leucopenia[15(6.4%)].Entinostat plus exemestane significantly improved PFS compared with exemestane,with generally manageable toxicities in HR+ABC(ClinicalTrials.gov#NCT03538171).Binghe Xu Qingyuan Zhang Xichun Hu Qing Li Tao Sun Wei Li Quchang Ouyang Jingfen Wang Zhongsheng Tong Min Yan Huiping Li Xiaohua Zeng Changping Shan Xian Wang Xi Yan Jian Zhang Yue Zhang Jiani Wang Liang Zhang Ying Lin Jifeng Feng Qianjun Chen Jian Huang Lu Zhang Lisong Yang Ying Tian Hongyan Shang 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,5:3
3Light-triggered nitric oxide release and structure transformation of peptide for enhanced intratumoral retention and sensitized photodynamic therapy显示文摘Tumor-targeted delivery of nanomedicine is of great importance to improve therapeutic efficacy of cancer and minimize systemic side effects.Unfortunately,nowadays the targeting efficiency of nanomedicine toward tumor is still quite limited and far from clinical requirements.In this work,we develop an innovative peptide-based nanoparticle to realize light-triggered nitric oxide(NO)release and structural transformation for enhanced intratumoral retention and simultaneously sensitizing photodynamic therapy(PDT).The designed nanoparticle is self-assembled from a chimeric peptide monomer,TPP-RRRKLVFFK-Ce6,which contains a photosensitive moiety(chlorin e6,Ce6),aβ-sheet-forming peptide domain(Lys-Leu-Val-Phe-Phe,KLVFF),an oligoarginine domain(RRR)as NO donor and a triphenylphosphonium(TPP)moiety for targeting mitochondria.When irradiated by light,the constructed nanoparticles undergo rapid structural transformation from nanosphere to nanorod,enabling to achieve a significantly higher intratumoral accumulation by 3.26 times compared to that without light irradiation.More importantly,the conversion of generated NO and reactive oxygen species(ROS)in a light-responsive way to peroxynitrite anions(ONOO)with higher cytotoxicity enables NO to sensitize PDT in cancer treatment.Both in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate that NO sensitized PDT based on the well-designed transformable nanoparticles enables to eradicate tumors efficiently.The light-triggered transformable nanoplatform developed in this work provides a new strategy for enhanced intratumoral retention and improved therapeutic outcome.Lingdong Jiang Danyang Chen Zhaokui Jin Chao Xia Qingqing Xu Mingjian Fan Yunlu Dai Jia Liu Yuanpei Li Qianjun He 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,6:3
4Effect of Jianpi Bushen formula on aromatase-inhibitor-associated bone loss after menopause显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Jianpi Bushen(JPBS) formula on aromatase inhibitor(AI)-associated bone loss after menopause.METHODS: Six-month-old female rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: a sham group, an ovariectomized(OVX) group, an OVX treated with exemestane and 3 OVX groups each treated with a different dose of JPBS formula. Bone mineral density(BMD) at the lumbar vertebrae, histology, bone markers and serum levels of estrogen were assessed. Furthermore, a cohort study was conducted in 130 postmenopausal women with breast cancer that had undergone treatment with AIs. The subjects were given JPBS + caltrate D or caltrate D only, administered orally. BMD at the lumbar vertebrae and femoral neck and bone markers were evaluated in both control and herbal treatment groups at baseline and 12 months.RESULTS: Experimental results indicated that a high dose of JPBS significantly increased the trabecular bone area percentage(Tb.Ar %) and broadened the trabecular thickness(Tb.Th). The JPBS formula enriched the carboxyterrninal propeptide of type ipmcollagen and increased serum estrogen level significantly. The clinical investigation revealed that bone loss was decreased in the group treated with JPBS vs control(BMD T score at lumbar vertebrae, 3.9% increased vs 14.58% decreased, respectively, P = 0.004 and BMD T score on femoral neck, 1.8% decreased vs 22.45% decreased, respectively, P = 0.008). 5Sonocatalytic hydrogen/hole-combined therapy for anti-biofilm and infected diabetic wound healing显示文摘It is a great challenge to effectively eradicate biofilm and cure biofilm-infected diseases because dense extracellular polymeric substance matrix prevents routine antibacterial agents from penetrating into biofilm.H_(2)is an emerging energy-regulating molecule possessing both high biosafety and high tissue permeability.In this work,we propose a concept of sonocatalytic hydrogen/hole-combined’inside/outside-cooperation’anti-biofilm for promoting bacteria-infected diabetic wound healing based on two-dimensional piezoelectric nanomaterials.Proof-of-concept experiments using C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets as a representative piezoelectric catalyst with wide band gap and high biosafety have verified that sonocatalytically generated H_(2)and holes rapidly penetrate into biofilm to inhibit bacterial energy metabolism and oxidatively deprive polysaccharides/NADH in biofilm to destroy the bacterial membrane/electron transport chain,respectively,inside/outside-cooperatively eradicating biofilm.A bacteria-infected diabetic wound model is used to confirm the excellent in vivo antibacterial performance of sonocatalytic hydrogen/hole-combined therapy,remarkably improving bacteria-infe cted diabetic wound healing.The proposed strategy of sonocatalytic hole/hydrogen-combined’inside/outside-cooperation’will make a highway for treatment of deep-seated biofilm infection.Qingqing Xu Shengqiang Chen Lingdong Jiang Chao Xia Lingting Zeng Xiaoqing Cai Zhaokui Jin Shucun Qin Wenjiang Ding Qianjun He 2023National Science Review2023,10,5:2

15The molecular pathogenesis of achalasia:a paired lower esophageal sphincter muscle and serum 4D label-free proteomic study显示文摘Background:Achalasia is a primary esophageal motility disorder with potential molecular pathogenesis remaining uncertain.This study aimed to identify the differentially expressed proteins and potential pathways among achalasia subtypes and controls to further reveal the molecular pathogenesis of achalasia.Methods:Paired lower esophageal sphincter(LES)muscle and serum samples from 24 achalasia patients were collected.We also collected 10 normal serum samples from healthy controls and 10 normal LES muscle samples from esophageal cancer patients.The 4D label-free proteomic analysis was performed to identify the potential proteins and pathways involved in achalasia.Results:Analysis of Similarities showed distinct proteomic patterns of serum and muscle samples between achalasia patients and controls(both P<0.05).Functional enrichment analysis suggested that these differentially expressed proteins were immunity-,infection-,inflammation-,and neurodegeneration-associated.The mfuzz analysis in LES specimens showed that proteins involved in the extracellular matrix–receptor interaction increased sequentially between the control group,type III,type II,and type I achalasia.Only 26 proteins altered in the same directions in serum and muscle samples.Conclusions:This first 4D label-free proteomic study of achalasia indicated that there were specific protein alterations in both the serum and muscle of achalasia,involving immunity,inflammation,infection,and neurodegeneration pathways.Distinct protein clusters between types I,II,and III revealed the potential molecular pathways associated with different disease stages.Analysis of proteins changed in both muscle and serum samples highlighted the importance of further studies on LES muscle and revealed potential autoantibodies.Songfeng Chen Xiangbin Xing Xun Hou Qianjun Zhuang Niandi Tan Yi Cui Jinhui Wang Mengyu Zhang Shixian Hu Yinglian Xiao 2023Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1:0
16Clinical relevance of salivary pepsin detection in diagnosing gastroesophageal reflux disease subtypes显示文摘Background:Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is heterogeneous with a varied symptom spectrum and reflux profiles.Its definite diagnosis often requires invasive tools including endoscopy or reflux monitoring.The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical relevance of salivary pepsin detection as a non-invasive screening tool to diagnose GERD of different subtypes.Methods:A total of 77 patients with suspected GERD symptoms and 12 asymptomatic controls were analysed.All participants performed symptom evaluation,upper endoscopy,esophageal manometry,and 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-dual pH probe monitoring.Saliva was self-collected across three different time points:at early fasting,postprandially,and at symptom occurrence.Salivary pepsin levels were measured via Peptest.The optimal threshold of salivary pepsin for diagnosing distal or proximal reflux was determined according to a receiver-operating characteristic curve.Results:The average salivary pepsin concentration of suspected GERD patients was significantly higher than that of controls(100.63[68.46,141.38]vs 67.90[31.60,115.06]ng/mL,P=0.044),although no difference was found among patients with different symptom spectrums.The distal reflux group had a higher average pepsin concentration than non-reflux patients(170.54[106.31,262.76]vs 91.13[63.35,127.63]ng/mL,P=0.043),while no difference was observed between the distal reflux group and the proximal reflux group.The optimal cut-off value of salivary pepsin concentration for diagnosing pathological distal reflux was 157.10 ng/mL,which was higher than that for diagnosing pathological proximal reflux(122.65 ng/mL).The salivary pepsin concentration was significantly correlated with distal and proximal reflux parameters.Conclusions:Salivary pepsin measurement can help in identifying true GERD with pathological distal reflux or proximal reflux,regardless of different symptom spectrums.A higher threshold should be applied for diagnosing distal reflux than for proximal reflux.Mengyu Zhang Tingting Wu Niandi Tan Songfeng Chen Qianjun Zhuang Yu Luo Yinglian Xiao 2023Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1:0
17Clinical outcomes of asymptomatic low-grade esophagitis:results from a multicenter Chinese cohort显示文摘Background:Asymptomatic low-grade(Los Angeles Classification Grades A and B)esophagitis is common in clinical practice with unclear clinical outcomes.This study aimed to explore the clinical outcomes of asymptomatic low-grade esophagitis.Methods:This was a multicenter cohort study conducted by three academic hospitals in China.Asymptomatic low-grade esophagitis patients between January 2015 and December 2019 were included.Mucosal healing condition 1year after initial diagnosis,symptomoutcomes,and proton-pump inhibitor(PPI)use within 1year after initial diagnosis were studied and compared.Results:A total of 248 asymptomatic low-grade esophagitis patients were included.Esophagitis disappeared in 76.2%of patients 1 year after initial diagnosis.In terms of symptom outcomes,89.9%of patients did not present gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)symptoms within 1 year after initial diagnosis.No significant difference was found in the proportion of patients who presented GERD symptoms and in the proportion of patients with persistent esophagitis between the PPI group and the non-PPI group(all P>0.05).Patients with initial Grade B esophagitis were more likely to present follow-up GERD symptoms(16.0%vs 7.5%,P=0.041)and had more severe follow-up esophagitis than those with Grade A(P<0.001).Patients with follow-up GERD symptoms were more likely to have persistent esophagitis than those without.Conclusions:This study demonstrated that asymptomatic low-grade esophagitis had relatively benign clinical outcomes.Patients with initial Grade B esophagitis and patients with follow-up GERD symptoms were more likely to be those who are in genuine need of further follow-up and treatments.Songfeng Chen Xuelian Xiang Xiaohao Zhang Qianjun Zhuang Niandi Tan Xun Hou Mengyu Zhang Junnan Hu Chaofan Duan Yi Cui Jinhui Wang Xiangbin Xing Nina Zhang Yinglian Xiao 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
18Performance of MODIS aerosol products at various timescales and in different pollution conditions over eastern Asia显示文摘High-quality aerosol optical depth(AOD)data derived from MODIS is widely used in studying spatiotemporal trends of fine particulate matter(PM2.5)concentrations in eastern Asia.However,the differences of MODIS-AOD(3/10 km DT;10 km DB)under four pollution situations(No-Po;Sl-Po;Mo-Po;Se-Po)are rarely considered.In this study,the MODIS-AOD and AODDifference spatial distributions from 2008 to 2017 are analyzed through annual/seasonal mean AOD maps generated at 0.1°×0.1°resolution.The MODIS-AOD performances are validated using AERONET AOD data for various pollution situations and aerosol types.Annual validations indicate that the 10-km DB algorithm provides the best performance,followed by 3-km DTand 10 km DT.The DB algorithm can provide spatially continuous AOD data for all seasons,whereas the DT algorithm often fails to yield valid data during winter.The validations under different pollution conditions illustrate that severe pollution significantly affects the validity of data obtained by the DB algorithm.However,the accuracy of DT-derived AOD data is robust against interference.Under the same pollution conditions,the correlation coefficient of the DB algorithm is smaller than that of the DT algorithm.The quantity of valid data in the DB product is higher than those in DT products for all pollution conditions,especially under Se-Po.MAO QianJun HUANG ChunLin ZHANG HengXing CHEN QiXiang YUAN Yuan 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,4:0
19Safety and Current Status of the COVID-19 Vaccine among Patients with Breast cancer: A Cross-Sectional Study from China显示文摘In this study,we aimed to explore the safety and vaccination coverage data of Chinese patients with breast cancer receiving coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)vaccination.The patients were recruited from 41 hospitals across 20 Chinese provinces.The vaccination coverage was approximately 22.4%,and the frequency of total adverse events was 13.3%after the first dose and 9.9%after the second dose.The most frequent adverse reaction within 14 days of the first dose was local pain(5.7%).Unvaccinated patients were very likely to reject the vaccine rather than be hesitant in patients with old age(odds ratio[OR],1.238;95%confidence interval[CI],1.101-1.391),chronic disease history(OR,1.189;95%CI,1.057-1.337),and cancer relapse(OR,1.398;95%CI,1.233-1.585).Of the unvaccinated patients with breast cancer,54.1%opted to receive COVID-19 vaccines if more data were available.Considering the safety but low vaccination coverage for breast cancer,increased positive attitudes and acceptance toward COVID-19 vaccines are important.Shaohua Zhang Jianbin Li Ruonan Xu Qianjun Chen Gang Sun Ying Lin Feng Jin Xinlan Liu Zhimin Fan Yiding Chen Yali Cao Xinzheng Li Jianyun Nie Guiying Xu Xiaojia Wang Yuee Teng Tao Sun Hong Liu Jing Luo Cuizhi Geng Man Li Ting Luo Yinhua Liu Fu-Sheng Wang Zefei Jiang 2023Infectious Diseases & Immunity2023,3,3:0
20Preparation and Electromechanical Properties of PVDF Matrix Piezoelectric Composites Containing Highly Oriented BaTiO_3 Whiskers显示文摘The piezoelectric composites containing highly oriented BaTiO3 whiskers as active phase and PVDF as matrix have been prepared by micro-hole extrusion and orientation in carried fibers. The morphology of oriented BaTiO3 whiskers and microstructure of the composites were observed by SEM. As for its electromechanical properties, it is found that the dielectric constant, piezoelectric constant and remnant of polarization in the BaTiO3 whisker-PVDF composite are considerably higher than that in the BaTiO3 powders-PVDF composite, while the loss factors follow the opposite trend. For the BaTiO3 whisker-PVDF composite, the values of ε, d33 and Pr parallel to the whisker orientation (normal specimen) are much higher than that perpendicular to the whisker orientation (parallel specimen).
