| 1 | An Improved Virtual Inertia Algorithm of Virtual Synchronous Generator显示文摘Virtual synchronous generator(VSG)simulates the first-order motion equation of a synchronous generator(SG)with the algorithm.VSG can improve the system voltage and frequency support capabilities of a microgrid or a weak grid.It is now widely applied at a high penetration level of distributed generation(DG)systems.However,because there is a contradiction between active power steady-state deviation of VSG and dynamic impact regulation,the VSG running in grid-connected mode with existing strategies cannot meet the steady and dynamic control requirements.Thus,an improved virtual inertial control strategy of VSG is proposed in this paper.The active power impact is reduced effectively under the circumstance of damping coefficient Dωequal to 0 and a large inertia,thus the dynamic characteristic of active power is improved and its steady-state characteristic is maintained.Firstly,based on the analysis of the damping coefficient effect on the system dynamic process,two forms of improved virtual inertia algorithms are put forward by cascading a differential link into different positions of the first-order virtual inertia forward channel.Then,by comparing the characteristics of the system with the two improved algorithms,the improved virtual inertial strategy based on differential compensation is proven to be better,and the design of its parameters is analyzed.Finally,simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. | Haizhen Xu Changzhou Yu Chun Liu Qinglong Wang Xing Zhang | 2020 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2020,8,2: | 10 |
| 2 | Retrieving the antarctic sea-ice concentration based on AMSR-E 89 GHz data显示文摘Sea-ice concentration is a key item in global climate change research.Recent progress in remotely sensed sea-ice concentration product has been stimulated by the use of a new sensor,advanced microwave scanning radiometer for EOS(AMSR-E),which offers a spatial resolution of 6 km×4 km at 89GHz.A new inversion algorithm named LASI(linear ASI) using AMSR-E 89GHz data was proposed and applied in the antarctic sea areas.And then comparisons between the LASI ice concentration products and those retrieved by the other two standard algorithms,ASI(arctic radiation and turbulence interaction study sea-ice algorithm) and bootstrap,were made.Both the spatial and temporal variability patterns of ice concentration differences,LASI minus ASI and LASI minus bootstrap,were investigated.Comparative data suggest a high result consistency,especially between LASI and ASI.On the other hand,in order to estimate the LASI ice concentration errors introduced by the tie-points uncertainties,a sensitivity analysis was carried out.Additionally an LASI algorithm error estimation based on the field measurements was also completed.The errors suggest that the moderate to high ice concentration areas(>70%) are less affected(never exceeding 10%) than those in the low ice concentration.LASI and ASI consume 75 and 112 s respectively when processing the same AMSR-E time series thourghout the year 2010.To conclude,by using the LASI algorithm,not only the seaice concentration can be retrieved with at least an equal quality as that of the two extensively demonstrated operational algorithms,ASI and bootstrap,but also in a more efficient way than ASI. | YU Qinglong WANG Hui WAN Liying BI Haibo | 2013 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,9: | 5 |
| 3 | Effects of in-situ TiB_(2)particles on machinability and surface integrity in milling of TiB_(2)/2024 and TiB_(2)/7075 Al composites显示文摘In-situ ceramics particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites are favored in the aerospace industry due to excellent properties.However,the hard ceramic particles as the reinforcement phase bring challenges to machining.To study the effect of in-situ TiB_(2)particles on machinability and surface integrity of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite,milling experiments were performed,and compared with conventional 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloys.In-situ TiB_(2)particles clustered at the grain boundaries and dispersed inside the matrix alloy grains hinder the dislocation movement of the matrix alloy.Therefore,the milling force and temperature of the composites are higher than those of the aluminum alloys due to the increase of the strength and the decrease of the plasticity.In the milling of composites,abrasive wear is the main wear form of carbide tools,due to the scratching of hard nano-TiB_(2)particles.The composites containing in-situ TiB_(2)particles have machining defects such as smearing,micro-scratches,micro-pits and tail on the machined surface.However,in-situ TiB_(2)particles impede the plastic deformation of the composites,which greatly reduces cutting edge marks on the machined surface.Therefore,under the same milling parameters,the surface roughness of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite is much less than that of2024 and 7075 aluminum alloy respectively.Under the milling conditions of this experiment,the machined subsurface has no metamorphic layer,and the microhardness of the machined surface is almost the same as that of the material.Besides,compared with 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloy,machined surfaces of TiB_(2)/2024 composite and TiB_(2)/7075 composite both show tensile residual stress or low magnitude of compressive residual stress. | Jie CHEN Weiwei YU Zhenyu ZUO Yugang LI Dong CHEN Qinglong AN Jiwei GENG Ming CHEN Haowei WANG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6: | 5 |
| 4 | Arctic multiyear sea ice variability observed from satellites:a review显示文摘In comparison with seasonal sea ice(first-year ice,FY ice),multiyear(MY)sea ice is thicker and has more opportunity to survive through the summer melting seasons.Therefore,the variability of wintertime MY ice plays a vital role in modulating the variations in the Arctic sea ice minimum extent during the following summer.As a response,the ice-ocean-atmosphere interactions may be significantly affected by the variations in the MY ice cover.Satellite observations are characterized by their capability to capture the spatiotemporal changes of Arctic sea ice.During the recent decades,many active and passive sensors onboard a variety of satellites(QuikSCAT,ASCAT,SSMIS,ICESat,CryoSat-2,etc.)have been used to monitor the dramatic loss of Arctic MY ice.The main objective of this study is to outline the advances and remaining challenges in monitoring the MY ice changes through the utilization of multiple satellite observations.We summarize the primary satellite data sources that are used to identify MY ice.The methodology to classify MY ice and derive MY ice concentration is reviewed.The interannual variability and trends in the MY ice time series in terms of coverage,thickness,volume,and age composition are evaluated.The potential causes associated with the observed Arctic MY ice loss are outlined,which are primarily related to the export and melting mechanisms.In addition,the causes to the MY ice depletion from the perspective of the oceanic water inflow from Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and the water vapor intrusion,as well as the roles of synoptic weather,are analyzed.The remaining challenges and possible upcoming research subjects in detecting the rapidly changing Arctic MY ice using the combined application of multisource remote sensing techniques are discussed.Moreover,some suggestions for the future application of satellite observations on the investigations of MY ice cover changes are proposed. | BI Haibo LIANG Yu WANG Yunhe LIANG Xi ZHANG Zehua DU Tingqin YU Qinglong HUANG Jue KONG Mei HUANG Haijun | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4: | 2 |
| 5 | Predictive models for characterizing the atomization process in pyrolysis of methyl ricinoleate显示文摘Pyrolysis of methyl ricinoleate(MR)can produce undecylenic acid methyl ester and heptanal which are important chemicals.Atomization feeding favors the heat exchange in the pyrolysis process and hence increases the product yield.Herein,predictive models to characterize the atomization process were developed.The effect of spray distance on Sauter mean diameter(SMD)of atomized MR droplets was examined,with the optimal spray distance to be 40-50 mm.Temperature mainly affected the physical properties of feedstock,with smaller droplet size obtained at increasing temperature.In addition,pressure had significant influence on SMD and higher pressure resulted in smaller atomized droplets.Then,a model for SMD prediction,combining temperature,pressure,spray distance,and structural parameters of nozzle,was developed through dimensionless analysis.The results showed that SMD was a power function of Reynolds number(Re),Ohnesorge number(Oh),and the ratio of spray distance to diameter of swirl chamber in the nozzle(H/dsc),with the exponents of-1.6618,-1.3205 and 0.1038,respectively.The experimental measured SMD was in good agreement with the calculated values,with the error within±15%.Moreover,the droplet size distribution was studied by establishing the relationship between the standard deviation of droplet size and SMD.This study could provide reference to the regulation and optimization of the atomization process in MR pyrolysis. | Xiaoning Mao Qinglong Xie Ying Duan Shangzhi Yu Xiaojiang Liang Zhenyu Wu Meizhen Lu Yong Nie | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4: | 1 |

| 13 | Transmissibility of tuberculosis among students and non-students:an occupational-specific mathematical modelling显示文摘Background: Recently, despite the steady decline in the tuberculosis (TB) epidemic globally, school TB outbreaks have been frequently reported in China. This study aimed to quantify the transmissibility ofMycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) among students and non-students using a mathematical model to determine characteristics of TB transmission.Methods: We constructed a dataset of reported TB cases from four regions (Jilin Province, Xiamen City, Chuxiong Prefecture, and Wuhan City) in China from 2005 to 2019. We classified the population and the reported cases under student and non-student groups, and developed two mathematical models [nonseasonal model (Model A) and seasonal model (Model B)] based on the natural history and transmission features of TB. The effective reproduction number (R(eff)) of TB between groups were calculated using the collected data.Results: During the study period, data on 456,423 TB cases were collected from four regions: students accounted for 6.1% of cases. The goodness-of-fit analysis showed that Model A had a better fitting effect (P < 0.001). The average R_(eff) of TB estimated from Model A was 1.68 [interquartile range (IQR): 1.20–1.96] in Chuxiong Prefecture, 1.67 (IQR: 1.40–1.93) in Xiamen City, 1.75 (IQR: 1.37–2.02) in Jilin Province, and 1.79 (IQR: 1.56–2.02) in Wuhan City. The average R_(eff) of TB in the non-student population was 23.30 times (1.65/0.07) higher than that in the student population.Conclusions: The transmissibility of MTB remains high in the non-student population of the areas studied, which is still dominant in the spread of TB. TB transmissibility from the non-student-to-student-population had a strong influence on students. | 14 | Spatiotemporal characteristics of sea ice transport in the Baffin Bay and its association with atmospheric variability显示文摘Sea ice export through the Baffin Bay plays a vital role in modulating the sea ice cover variability in the Labrador Sea.In this study,satellite-derived sea ice products are used to obtain the sea ice area flux(SIAF)through the three passages in the Baffin Bay(referred to as A,B,and C for the north,middle,and south passages,respectively).The spatial variability of the monthly sea ice drift in the Baffin Bay is presented.The interannual variability and trends in SIAF via the three passages are outlined.The connection to several large-scale atmospheric circulation modes is assessed.Over the period of 1988-2015,the average annual(October to the following September)SIAF amounts to 555×10^(3) km^(2),642×10^(3) km^(2),and 551×10^(3) km^(2) through Passages A,B,and C,respectively.These quantities are less than that observed through the Fram Strait(FS,707×10^(3) km^(2))of the corresponding period.The positive trends in annual SIAF,on the order of 53.1×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)and 43.2×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a)(significant at the 95%confidence level),are identified at Passages A and B,respectively.The trend of the south passage(C),however,is slightly negative(-13.3×10^(3) km^(2)/(10 a),not statistically significant).The positive trends in annual SIAF through the Passages A and B are primarily attributable to the significant increases after 2000.The connection between the Baffin Bay sea ice export and the North Atlantic Oscillation is not significant over the studied period.By contrast,the association with the cross-gate sea level pressure difference is robust in the Baffin Bay(R equals 0.69 to 0.71,depending on the passages considered),but relatively weaker than that over FS(R=0.74). | Weifu Sun Haibo Bi Min Fu Xi Liang Yunhe Wang Yu Liang Jue Huang Haijun Huang Liwen Yan Qinglong Yu Shuang Liang | 2021 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,3: | 0 |
