| 1 | GC-MS, GC-O and OAV analyses of key aroma compounds in Jiaozi Steamed Bread显示文摘Jiaozi Steamed Bread(JSB)has a unique aroma as a traditional staple food in China.The volatile compounds in JSBwere extracted by simultaneous distillation and extraction(SDE)and headspace solid-phasemicroextraction(HS-SPME).These volatile substances were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and gas chromatographyolfactometry-mass spectrometry(GC-O-MS).The results demonstrated that 61 volatile compounds were identified totally in samples,of which 15 were confirmed as potent aroma compounds with odor active values(OAVs)>1.The 15 potent aroma compounds were ethanol,1-butanol,1-pentanol,1-hexanol,heptanol,1-octen-3-ol,3-methyl-1-butanol,hexanal,heptanal,nonanal,(E)-2-heptenal,benzaldehyde,(E,E)-2,4-decadienal,2-pentylfuran and naphthalene.The SDEmethod had better linearity with coefficients of determination(R2)equal to or higher than 0.9991.Furthermore,the SDE method also achieved lower sensitivity and better repeatability and recovery than HS-SPME.This work provides reference method and parameters for future research on the flavor of JSB for commercial products. | Yuanhui Wang Jingwen Zhao Fei Xu Xiaoyun Wu Wenxuan Hu Yongfeng Chang Lanlan Zhang Jie Chen Changhong Liu | 2020 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2020,3,1: | 17 |

| 4 | Status and distribution of ungulates in Xinjiang,China显示文摘Based on a long-term field investigation and other research results,we reviewed the status and distribution of ungulates in Xinjiang,China. The ungulates in Xinjiang included 19 ungulate species(30 subspecies) from 6 families and 2 orders. Among them,3 species(2 subspecies) relate to Equidae(Perrisodactyla) ,and 16 species(28 subspecies) are from 5 families of Artiodactyla. In this paper,we analyzed the conservation status of most rare and important 13 ungulate species. Firstly,we proposed the protection of genetic diversity of Camelus ferus and the distribution areas of Moschus sifanicus,Procapra przewalskii and Saiga tatarica in Xinjiang. We found that Moschus sifanicus but not Procapra przewalskii distributed in Xinjiang. It was not clear whether the remnant populations of Saiga tatarica existed in Xinjiang and China-Kazakhstan border or not. We discussed that the protection level and rational use of Capra sibirica and enhancing protection level and enlarging monitoring and research projects for Pantholops hodgsoni and Gazella subgutturosa. And we would like to suggest Forestry Department to develop the captive breeding of Tibetan antelope for rational use. In addition,the captive breeding of Cervus elaphus in Xinjiang was reviewed. | 6 | Hymecromone:a clinical prescription hyaluronan inhibitor for efficiently blocking COVID-19 progression显示文摘Currently,there is no effective drugs for treating clinically COVID-19 except dexamethasone.We previously revealed that human identical sequences of SARS-CoV-2 promote the COVID-19 progression by upregulating hyaluronic acid(HA).As the inhibitor of HA synthesis,hymecromone is an approved prescription drug used for treating biliary spasm.Here,we aimed to investigate the relation between HA and COVID-19,and evaluate the therapeutic effects of hymecromone on COVID-19.Firstly,HA was closely relevant to clinical parameters,including lymphocytes(n=158;r=−0.50;P<0.0001),C-reactive protein(n=156;r=0.55;P<0.0001),D-dimer(n=154;r=0.38;P<0.0001),and fibrinogen(n=152;r=0.37;P<0.0001),as well as the mass(n=78;r=0.43;P<0.0001)and volume(n=78;r=0.41;P=0.0002)of ground-glass opacity,the mass(n=78;r=0.48;P<0.0001)and volume(n=78;r=0.47;P<0.0001)of consolidation in patient with low level of hyaluronan(HA<48.43 ng/mL).Furthermore,hyaluronan could directly cause mouse pulmonary lesions.Besides,hymecromone remarkably reduced HA via downregulating HAS2/HAS3 expression.Moreover,89%patients with hymecromone treatment had pulmonary lesion absorption while only 42%patients in control group had pulmonary lesion absorption(P<0.0001).In addition,lymphocytes recovered more quickly in hymecromone-treated patients(n=8)than control group(n=5)(P<0.05).These findings suggest that hymecromone is a promising drug for COVID-19 and deserves our further efforts to determine its effect in a larger cohort. | Shuai Yang Yun Ling Fang Zhao Wei Li Zhigang Song Lu Wang Qiuting Li Mengxing Liu Ying Tong Lu Chen Daoping Ru Tongsheng Zhang Kaicheng Zhou Baolong Zhang Peng Xu Zhicong Yang Wenxuan Li Yuanlin Song Jianqing Xu Tongyu Zhu Fei Shan Wenqiang Yu Hongzhou Lu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4: | 2 |

| 8 | Impact of great gerbils(Rhombomys opimus) on desert plant communities显示文摘Great gerbil(Rhombomys opimus) colonies, with bare soil and herbaceous plants, are conspicuous to the background environment throughout their range area. In order to quantify the engineer role of great gerbils, we investigated the plant communities of 20 active colonies in the Junggar Basin, Xinjiang, China. In areas without disturbance, desert plant communities were dominated by the shrubs with low level species richness. In burrow areas and surrounding intermediate areas, which were disturbed by great gerbils, the shrubs were suppressed with the decrease of vegetation cover and aboveground biomass. As a result, 'niche gaps' were created in disturbed areas and worked as a refuge for herbaceous annuals and perennials. So the existence of great gerbils increased the overall species richness of the desert. | 11 | Diet characteristics of wild sheep(Ovis ammon darwini) in the Mengluoke Mountains,Xinjiang,China显示文摘In most arid and semi-arid regions of the world, domestic livestock and native wildlife share pastures, and their competition for forage and habitat is thought to be a serious conservation issue. Moreover, unmanaged grazing by livestock can cause the population decline in wild ungulates. The diet of an animal species is a determining aspect of its ecological niche, and investigating its diet has been one of the initial steps in basic ecology study of a new species. To get an approximate understanding of the interspecific food relationships of argali(Ovis ammon darwini) between sexes, and sympatric domestic sheep and goats, we compared the diet compositions and diet-overlaps among these herbivores, i.e., male argali, female argali, domestic sheep, and domestic goats in the Mengluoke Mountains of Xinjiang, China by using micro-histological fecal analysis. Female argali, male argali, domestic sheep and domestic goat primarily consumed forbs(43.31%±4.86%), grass(36.02%±9.32%), forbs(41.01%±9.18%), and forbs(36.22%±10.61%), respectively in warm season. All these animals consumed mostly shrubs(female argali: 36.47%±7.56%; male argali: 47.28%±10.75%; domestic sheep: 40.46%±9.56%; and domestic goats: 42.88%±9.34%, respectively) in cold season. The diet-overlaps were relatively high among all species in cold season with values ranging from 0.88 to 0.94. Furthermore, Schoener's index measured between each possible pair of 4 herbivores increased from the warm season to the cold season. The results illustrate that the high degree of diet-overlap of argali and domestic livestock(sheep and goat) may pose a threat to the survival of the argali in cold season. | 15 | Electrokinetic and permeation characterization of hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile (PAN) hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane显示文摘PAN membrane and hydrolyzed PAN membranes with the same pore size were used to investigate the relationship between the electrokinetic property and permeation performance by streaming potential measurement and ion exchange technology. SEM and FT-IR/ATR spectra were employed to analyze the reaction and the presence of the amide groups. The thickness of the polyacrylic acid (PAA) layer on the membrane surface measured by ion-exchange titration technology increased with the reaction time, and that on membrane hydrolyzed for 50 min could reach 10.8 nm. Streaming potential measurement was used to study the influence of the carboxylic and nitrile group on the membrane surface on their separation property. Zeta potential measured in pure water had close relationship with the permeation property. This measurement also proved that there was a maximum zeta potential between zero and the concentration tested. For the ionization or dissociation of the carboxylic group on the membrane surface, treated membranes had a more flexible zeta potential range than that of the untreated membrane in the pH range of 3-9. They were all negative in pure water and 1 g·L-1 KCl solution, while the membranes hydrolyzed for 30 min and 50min had IEPs at pH 5.5 and 6.1 in 1 g·L-1 MgCl2 solution. | 19 | Ventilation schemes for high-temperature buoyancy-driven plumes from spherical surfaces of a large-scale experimental facility显示文摘A large-scale sphere-shaped experimental facility for neutrino detection is designed as a 23-latitudinal layer composite by using organic glass as the major raw material and is assembled via mass polymerization through a top-to-bottom approach.Heating belts at 4200 W/m 2 are used to anneal the bonding joints of external and internal spherical surfaces and produce high-temperature thermal plumes.Buoyancy-driven plumes should be effectively mitigated using ventilation to ensure the near-surface air temperatures above the finished layers can be delicately controlled within 21±1℃to minimize the deformation of the facility.Schemes to control plumes on both surfaces were investigated using Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)method by following a performance-based approach.First,an independent field study was conducted to measure surface temperature and heat flux of mass polymerization and provide references for simulations.Second,dynamic buoyancy-driven plumes pro-duced along the external and internal spherical surfaces were simulated under a no-ventilation scenario.After contacting with the plumes,three periods,in which buoyancy,convection,and advection,were dominating,can be observed according to the changes of near-surface air temperature.Moreover,the temperature and Ra num-ber of the surface-attached plumes were used as indicators to assess the intensity of the plumes quantitatively.Third,three major ventilation schemes,i.e.,general,push-pull,and sphere-attached ventilations(with three sub-designs),were compared under the same air change rate level on the basis of the following perspectives:(1)air temperature distributions above the polymerizing layer,(2)overall heat exhaust efficiency,and(3)total spaces where temperature was higher than 22℃.Results indicated that the combination of push-pull and side-supply ventilations,by which the heat exhaust efficiencies were up to 1.87-3.24,was found to be most effective to control thermal plumes,with approximately 0.1%of the total surrounding air exceeding 22℃. | Wenxuan Zhao Wei Ye Yu Xue Chao Wu Xu Zhang | 2020 | Energy and Built Environment2020,1,3: | 0 |
