1Effects of insoluble Zn,Cd,and EDTA on the growth,activities of antioxidant enzymes and uptake of Zn and Cd in Vetiveria zizanioides显示文摘A root-bag experiment was conducted to study the effects of insoluble Zn,Cd,and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA) on the plant growth,activities of antioxidant enzymes,proline,glutathione(GSH),water-soluble proteins and malondialdehyde(MDA) of Vetiveria zizanioides.The V.zizanioides uptake capacity of Zn and Cd also determined.The results showed that plant growth of V.zizanioides was inhibited by Zn and Cd.The shoot dry weight(SDW) and root dry weight(RDW) decrease by 14.2%,14.1%,17.0% and 17.3%,32.5%,35.7%,respectively,compared to the control without EDTA addition.After adding EDTA,shoot and root dry weight decreased over 10% and 15%,respectively.The toxicity from insoluble Zn and Cd in soil on SDW and RDW of V.zizanioides was in order:Zn+Cd > Cd > Zn.The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT),and contents of MDA and proline increased significantly,while the contents of GSH and water-soluble proteins decreased markedly with increasing Zn and Cd toxicity.With EDTA,shoot and root Zn concentrations increased in the Zn treatment by 7.3% and 37.4%,and Cd concentrations in the combined Zn and Cd treatment increased by 18.6% and 391.9% compared to the treatment without EDTA.However,Zn and Cd concentrations in shoot and roots decreased in the Cd treatment compared to the plants grown in absence of EDTA,with exception of root Cd concentration in the presence of EDTA.XU Weihong LI Wenyi HE Jianping Balwant Singh XIONG Zhiting 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,2:16
2The investigation on particulate organic carbon fluxes with disequilibria between thorium-234 and uranium-238 in the Prydz Bay,the Southern Ocean显示文摘Dissolved and particulate thorium-234, particulate organic carbon in the upper 150 m of water columns from five stations in the Prydz Bay, the Southern Ocean were determined during the 22nd Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (from November 2005 to March 2006). The disequilibria between thorium-234 and its parent uranium-238 in upper layer was used to derive the averaged residence time of thorium-234, which decreased along with the latitude to the south and a minimum value, 1~8 d for particulate thorium-234 and 29~48 d for dissolved thorium-234, appeared at the medium latitude station, and the export fluxes of thorium-234 were calculated too and a maximum value, 0.35~0.63 Bq/(m3·d) for the particulate thorium-234 and 0.44~0.65 Bq/(m3·d) for the dissolved thorium-234, appeared at the same station. 3Characterization and mapping of a novel mutant sms1 (senescence and male sterility 1) in rice显示文摘Plant senescence plays diverse important roles in development and environmental responses.However,the molecular basis of plant senescence is remained largely unknown.A rice spontaneous mutant with the character of early senescence and male sterility (sms) was found in the breeding line NT10-748.In order to identify the gene SMS1 and the underlying mechanism,we preliminarily analyzed physiological and biochemical phenotypes of the mutant.The mutant contained lower chlorophyll content compared with the wild type control and was severe male sterile with lower pollen viability.Genetic analysis showed that the mutant was controlled by a single recessive gene.By the map-based cloning approach,we fine-mapped SMS1 to a 67 kb region between the markers Z3-4 and Z1-1 on chromosome 8 using 1,074 F2 recessive plants derived from the cross between the mutant sms1 (japonica) × Zhenshan 97 (indica),where no known gene involved in senescence or male sterility has been identified.Therefore the SMS1 gene will be a novel gene that regulates the two developmental processes.The further cloning and functional analysis of the SMS1 gene is under way.Wenyi Yan Shenghai Ye Qingsheng Jin Longjun Zeng Yu Peng Dawei Yan Weibing Yang Donglei Yang Zuhua He Yanjun Dong Xiaoming Zhang 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,1:6
4An in-situ analysis and measurement of thorium-234,uranium isotopes in seawater显示文摘A low-level β counting-α spectrum apparatus used for the detection of the β radiation of thorium-234 and α spectrum of thorium-228 simultaneously and an easy operating procedure for the enrichment, radiochemical separating, sampling and measurement of thorium-234 and uranium-238 in the ocean are developed based on the requirements of analyzing export productivity in the euphotic zone via thorium-234-uranium-238 radioactivity disequilibrium. The detecting efficiency both of β and α radiation is higher than 20%. The background of β radiation is less than 0.5 min-1, and the energy resolution of α detector is better than 1%. Total recycle ratio of thorium-234 is about 75%. 5Cholesterol-tuned liposomal membrane rigidity directs tumor penetration and anti-tumor effect显示文摘Recently, liposomes have been widely used in cancer therapeutics, but their anti-tumor effects are suboptimal due to limited tumor penetration. To solve this problem, researchers have made significant efforts to optimize liposomal diameters and potentials, but little attention has been paid to liposomal membrane rigidity. Herein, we sought to demonstrate the effects of cholesterol-tuned liposomal membrane rigidity on tumor penetration and anti-tumor effects. In this study, liposomes composed of hydrogenated soybean phospholipids(HSPC), 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)-2000](DSPE-PEG2000) and different concentrations of cholesterol were prepared. It was revealed that liposomal membrane rigidity decreased with the addition of cholesterol. Moderate cholesterol content conferred excellent diffusivity to liposomes in simulated diffusion medium, while excessive cholesterol limited the diffusion process. We concluded that the differences of the diffusion rates likely stemmed from the alterations in liposomal membrane rigidity, with moderate rigidity leading to improved diffusion. Next, the in vitro tumor penetration and the in vivo anti-tumor effects were analyzed. The results showed that liposomes with moderate rigidity gained excellent tumor penetration and enhanced anti-tumor effects. 6Deeply learned broadband encoding stochastic hyperspectral imaging显示文摘Many applications requiring both spectral and spatial information at high resolution benefit from spectral imaging.Although different technical methods have been developed and commercially available,computational spectral cameras represent a compact,lightweight,and inexpensive solution.However,the tradeoff between spatial and spectral resolutions,dominated by the limited data volume and environmental noise,limits the potential of these cameras.In this study,we developed a deeply learned broadband encoding stochastic hyperspectral camera.In particular,using advanced artificial intelligenee in filter design and spectrum reconstruction,we achieved 7000-11,000 times faster signal processing and〜10 times improvement regarding noise toleranee.These improvements enabled us to precisely and dynamically reconstruct the spectra of the entire field of view,previously unreachable with compact computational spectral cameras.Wenyi Zhang Hongya Song Xin He Longqian Huang Xiyue Zhang Junyan Zheng Weidong Shen Xiang Hao Xu Liu 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,6:4
7High performance liquid chromatographic separation of eight drugs collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 on amylose ramification chiral stationary phase显示文摘The enantiomers separation of ei ght pharmaceutical racemates collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(Ch.P2010),including nitrendipine,felodipine,omeprazole,praziquantel,sulpiride,clenbuterol hydrochloride,verapamil hydrochloride and chlorphenamine maleate,was performed on chiral stationary phase of amylose ramification by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)on Chiralpak AD-H column and Chiralpak AS-H column with the mobile phase consisted of isopropanol and n-hexane.The detection wavelength and the flow rate were set at 254 nm and 0.7 mL/min,respectively.The effects of proportion of organic additives,alcohol displacer and temperature on the separation were investigated.The results indicated that eight chiral drugs were separated on chiral stationary phase of amylase ramification in normal phase chroma tographic system.The chromatographic retention and resolution of enantiomers were adjusted by factors,including the changes of the concentration of alcohol displacer in mobile phase,organic alkaline modifier and column temperature.It was shown that the resolution was improved with reducing concentration of alcohol displacer.When the concentration of organic alkaline modifier was 0.2%,the resolution and the peak shape were fairly good.Most racemates mentioned above had the best resolution at column temperature of 25℃.The best temperature should be kept unchanged in the process of separation so as to obtain stable separation results.Yan Wang Ying Zhou Chao Ma Beibei Yang Ru Feng Yiying Zhang Jie Fu Wenjing Chen Yupeng Sun Jingyi Ma Qiming Zhang Yulin Deng Yukui Zhang Wenyi He 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,5:3

9Preparation and photocatalytic activity of Fe3O4@SiO2@ZnO:La显示文摘In this study,Fe3 O4@SiO2@ZnO:La microspheres were successfully prepared.The microspheres have the advantages of both ZnO doped with La and the Fe3 O4@SiO2 structure such that the former improves the photocatalytic activity of ZnO and the latter can be reused.The X-ray diffraction(XRD),a field emission scanning electron microscope(SEM),a field emission transmission electron microscope(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)were used to characterize Fe3 O4@SiO2@ZnO:La microspheres.Methyl orange was used as the model molecule to study the effect of the Zn2+concentration and the doping amount of La on the photocatalytic activity of Fe3 O4@SiO2@ZnO:La microspheres.Results show that in the synthesis of Fe3 O4@SiO2@ZnO:La microspheres,photocatalytic activity of the microspheres is enhanced first and weakened later with the increase of Zn2+concentration.In the La doping process,the photocatalytic activity of Fe3 O4@SiO2@ZnO:La microspheres is enhanced with the increase in the La doping amount.The magnetic photocatalysts not only have high photocatalytic activity,but also can be reused.After being reused five times,the photocatalyst’s degradation rate of methyl orange is still as high as 81%,which shows that magnetic photocatalysts have prospective wider applications in photocatalytic degradation of dye wastewater.Xiaowei Lv Wenyi Huang Xingcheng Ding Jiangwei He Qiumei Huang Jialin Tan Hao Cheng Jun Feng Lijun Li 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,12:2

143-Epi-betulinic acid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(eBAG)induces autophagy by activation of AMP-activated protein kinase in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘3-Epi-betulinic acid 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(eBAG)is a pentacyclic triterpene mainly distributed in food and medicinal plants,which exhibits various pharmacological properties.However,whether these functions are attributed to eBAG or additional components in these plants remain unknown.Herein,we report that eBAG exerted an inhibitory activity against hepatocellular carcinoma and esophageal cancer cells.EBAG induced non-apoptotic cell death in hepatocellular carcinoma cells.The eBAG-induced cell death was inhibited by knock-down of autophagy related gene(ATG)5 and ATG7,by administration of 3-methyladenine,a selective autophagy inhibitor that suppresses phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K),and by chloroquine,a classic autophagy flux inhibitor.We demonstrated that eBAG induced an autophagy-mediated cell death.Application of eBAG mimicked cellular bioenergetics depletion leading to the reduction of intracellular ATP,activation of AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),and inhibition of mTOR.Co-treatment with compound C,an AMPK inhibitor,abrogated cell death induced by eBAG.We further validated the anti-tumor effect of eBAG in the murine xenograft model of hepatocellular carcinoma and found that eBAG treatment promoted the induction of autophagy and reduction of tumor growth in mice.As a functional food ingredient,eBAG is a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma and esophageal cancer.Mengjie Liu Xuqiang Liu Kaiyue He Yongping Jian Yujia Li Jinrong Guo Jingyu Yang Zhixiang Xu Wenyi Kang 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3:0
15First experimental comparisons of laser-plasma interactions between spherical and cylindrical hohlraums at SGⅢ laser facility显示文摘We present our recent laser-plasmas instability(LPI)comparison experiment at the SGIII laser facility between the spherical and cylindrical hohlraums.Three kinds of filling are considered:vacuum,gas-filling with or without a capsule inside.A spherical hohlraum of 3.6 mm in diameter,and a cylindrical hohlraum of 2.4 mm?4.3 mm are used.The capsule diameter is 0.96 mm.A flat-top laser pulse with 3 ns duration and up to 92.73 kJ energy is used.The experiment has shown that the LPI level in the spherical hohlraum is close to that of the outer beam in the cylindrical hohlraum,while much lower than that of the inner beam.The experiment is further simulated by using our 2-dimensional radiation hydrodynamic code LARED-Integration,and the laser back-scattering fraction and the stimulated Raman scatter(SRS)spectrum are post-processed by the high efficiency code of laser interaction with plasmas HLIP.According to the simulation,the plasma waves are strongly damped and the SRS is mainly developed at the plasma conditions of electron density from 0.08 n_(c) to 0.1 n_(c) and electron temperature from 1.5 keV to 2.0 keV inside the hohlraums.However,obvious differences between the simulation and experiment are found,such as that the SRS back-scattering is underestimated,and the numerical SRS spectrum peaks at a larger wavelength and at a later time than the data.These dif-ferences indicate that the development of a 3D radiation hydrodynamic code,with more accurate physics models,is mandatory for spherical hohlraum study.Yaohua Chen Zhichao Li Xufei Xie Chunyang Zheng Chuanlei Zhai Liang Hao Dong Yang Wenyi Huo Guoli Ren Jie Liu Xiaoshi Peng Tao Xu Yulong Li Sanwei Li Zhiwen Yang Liang Guo Lifei Hou Yonggang Liu Huiyue Wei Xiangming Liu Weiyi Cha Yukun Li Keli Deng Zheng Yuan Xiayu Zhan Haijun Zhang Baibin Jiang Wei Zhang Kai Du Xuewei Deng Yongkun Ding Xiaofeng Wei Wanguo Zheng Xiaodong Chen Xiantu He Ke Lan 2017Matter and Radiation at Extremes2017,2,2:0

17Chemical components in yellow mealworm(Tenebrio molitor L.)reared with tea powder显示文摘The yellow mealworms(Tenebrio molitor L.)were reared by different ratios of tea powder and wheat bran powder mixtures,and weighted every day during the whole 10 days rearing.The content of tea polyphenols,total catechins,catechin(C),epicatechins(EC),epigallocatechins(EGC),epicatechin gallates(ECG),epigallocatechin gallates(EGCG),and nutrition components such as protein and fatty acid in the yellow mealworms were determined after 10 days rearing.The yellow mealworms can put on weight and grow well when the proportion of tea powder belows 80%,while 100%tea powder rearing has no signifi cantly reduced the weight of yellow mealworms.The content of tea polyphenols,total catechins,C,EC,EGC,ECG,and EGCG all enhance signifi cantly along with the increase ratio of the tea powder.The protein content increase more signifi cantly at 50%and 80%ratios treatments than the other treatments.Tea powder added rearing reduces the content of saturated fatty acid,and has a complex effect on the content of unsaturated fatty acid.Comprehensive analysis of the components determined show that 50%ratio is the best for yellow mealworm rearing.Yanxia Wang Hongya Li Yu Lu Wenyi He Chen Wang Litang Lü 2022Journal of Future Foods2022,2,3:0
