1The tectonic differences between the east and the west in the deep-water area of the northern South China Sea显示文摘The deep-water area of the northern South China Sea, which has active and complicated tectonics, is rich in natural gas and gas hydrate. While the tectonic characteristics is different obviously between the east and the west because of the special tectonic position and tectonic evolution process. In terms of submarine geomorphology,the eastern shelf-slope structure in Pearl River Mouth Basin is characterized by having wide sub-basins and narrow intervening highs, whereas the western(Qiongdongnan Basin) structure is characterized by narrow subbasins and wide uplift. As to the structural features, the deep-water sags in the east are all structurally halfgrabens, controlled by a series of south-dipping normal faults. While the west sags are mainly characterised by graben structures with faulting in both the south and north. With regards to the tectonic evolution, the east began neotectonic activity when the post-rifting stage had completed at the end of the Middle Miocene. In the Baiyun Sag, tectonic activity became strong and was characterised by rapid subsidence and obvious faulting. 2Rice metabolic regulatory network spanning the entire life cycle显示文摘As one of the most important crops in the world,rice(Oryza sativa)is a model plant for metabolome research.Although many studies have focused on the analysis of specific tissues,the changes in metab-olite abundance across the entire life cycle have not yet been determined.In this study,combining both tar-geted and nontargeted metabolite profiling methods,a total of 825 annotated metabolites were quantified in rice samples from different tissues covering the entire life cycle.The contents of metabolites in different tissues of rice were significantly different,with various metabolites accumulating in the plumule and radicle during seed germination.Combining these data with transcriptome data obtained from the same time period,we constructed the Rice Metabolic Regulation Network.The metabolites and co-expressed genes were further divided into 12 clusters according to their accumulation patterns,with members within each cluster displaying a uniform and clear pattern of abundance across development.Using this dataset,we established a comprehensive metabolic profile of the rice life cycle and used two independent strategies to identify novel transcription factors-namely the use of known regulatory genes as bait to screen for new networks underlying lignin metabolism and the unbiased identification of new glycerophospholipid metabolism regulators on the basis of tissue specificity.This study thus demonstrates how guilt-by-association analysis of metabolome and transcriptome data spanning the entire life cycle in cereal crops provides novel resources and tools to aid in understanding the mechanisms underlying important agro-nomic traits.Chenkun Yang Shuangqian Shen Shen Zhou Yufei Li Yuyuan Mao Junjie Zhou Yuheng Shi Longxu An Qianqian Zhou Wenju Peng Yuanyuan Lyu Xuemei Liu Wei Chen Shouchuang Wang Lianghuan Qu Xianqing Liu Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,2:3

4Thermochemical sulfate reduction in fossil Ordovician deposits of the Majiang area:Evidence from a molecular-marker investigation显示文摘The main reservoirs of Majiang fossil deposits consist of the Silurian Wengxiang group,dominantly sandstones,and the Ordovician Honghuayuan formation,dominantly carbonate rocks,and the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation mudstones serve as the major source rocks.Thermochemical sulfate reduction(TSR)might have taken place in the Paleozoic marine carbonate oil pools,as indicated by high concentrations of dibenzothiophenes in the extracts(MDBT=0.27 4.32 g/g extract,and MDBT/MPH=0.71 1.38).Hydrocarbons in the Pojiaozhai Ordovician carbonate reservoirs have undergone severe TSR and are characterized by higher quantities of diamondoids and MDBT and heavier isotopic values(13C=28.4‰).The very large amounts of dibenzothiophenes might be products of reactions between biphenyls and sulfur species associated with TSR.WANG GuangLi LI NingXi GAO Bo LI XianQing SHI ShengBao WANG TieGuan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:2

6Inhibitory effects of lidocaine on cerebral vasospasm in a rabbit model of subarachnoid hemorrhage显示文摘Following subarachnoid hemorrhage, vasoconstrictor substances, cellular apoptosis, blood coagulation, and vascular cell proliferation affect the onset of cerebral vasospasm. Previous studies from our laboratory have revealed that injection of lidocaine (2 mg) into the cisterna magna reduces cerebral vasospasm and nerve functional impairment in an animal model of subarachnoid hemorrhage. The present study determined the optimal lidocaine dose for vasospasm and brain injury by injecting different doses of lidocaine into the cisterna magna in a rabbit model of subarachnoid hemorrhage. Results showed that endothelin, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interleukin-6 levels significantly increased in plasma, and calcitonin gene-related peptide levels significantly decreased in plasma (P < 0.05). The number of neurons was decreased, the number of cells expressing c-Fos increased in the hippocampus, and cross-sections and diameters of basilar arteries were reduced (P < 0.05). These changes significantly improved following injection of lidocaine (1, 2, 4, and 6 mg) into the cisterna magna. 11Decabromodiphenyl ether induces the chromosome association disorders of spermatocytes and deformation failures of spermatids in mice显示文摘The environmental presence of decabromodiphenyl ether(BDE-209),which is toxic to the male reproductive system,is widespread.The current study investigated its mechanism of toxicity in mice.The results showed,that BDE-209 induced DNA damage,decreased the expression of the promoter of meiosis spermatogenesis-and oogenesis-specific basic helix-loop-helix 1(Sohlh1),meiosis related-factors Lethal(3)malignant brain tumor like 2(L3MBTL2),PIWI-like protein 2(MILI),Cyclin-dependent kinase 2(CDK2),Cyclin A,synaptonemal complex protein 1(SYCP1)and synaptonemal complex protein 3(SYCP3),and caused spermatogenic cell apoptosis,resulting in a decrease in sperm quantity and quality.Furthermore,BDE-209 downregulated the levels of anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome(APC/C),increased the expression of PIWI-like protein 1(MIWI)in the cytoplasm of elongating spermatids,and decreased the nuclear levels of RING finger protein 8(RNF8),ubiquitinated(ub)-H2A/ub-H2B,and Protamine 1(PRM1)/Protamine 2(PRM2),while increasing H2A/H2B nuclear levels in spermatids.The reproductive toxicity was persistent for 50 days following the withdrawal of BDE-209 exposure.The results suggested that BDE-209 inhibits the initiation of meiosis by decreasing the expression of Sohlh1.Furthermore,the reduced expression of L3MBTL2 inhibited the formation of chromosomal synaptonemal complexes by depressing the expression of meiosis regulators affecting the meiotic progression and also inhibited histone ubiquitination preventing the replacement of histones by protamines,by preventing RNF8 from entering nuclei,which affected the evolution of spermatids into mature sperm.Jinglong Xue Xiangyang Li Yafei Chi Leqiang Gao Yue Zhang Yan Wang Moxuan Zhao Jialiu Wei Zhixiong Shi Xianqing Zhou 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4:0
12Stable epidermal electronic device with strain isolation induced by in situ Joule heating显示文摘Epidermal electronics play increasingly important roles in human-machine intetfaces.However,their efficient fabrication while maintaining device stability and reliability remains an unresolved challenge.Here,a facile in situ Joule heating method is proposed for fabricating stable epidermal electronics on a polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)substrate.Benefiting from the precise control of heating locations,the crystallization and enhanced rigidity of PVA are restricted to desired areas,leading to strain isolation of the active regions.As a result,the electronic device can be conformably attached to skin while showing negligible degradation in device performance during deformation.Based on this method,a flexible surface electromyography(sEMG)sensor with outstanding stability and highly comfortable wearability is demonstrated,showing high accuracy(91.83%)for human hand gesture recognition.These results imply that the fabrication method proposed in this research is a facile and reliable approach for the fabrication of epidermal electronics.Zihao Wang Qifeng Lu Yizhang Xia Simin Feng Yixiang Shi Shuqi Wang Xianqing Yang Yangyong Zhao Fuqin Sun Tie Li Ting Zhang 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,4:0
13Geochemical characteristics and families of the Paleozoic oil seepage and solid bitumen in the Southern Guizhou Depression,SW China显示文摘Fifteen oil seepage and solid bitumen samples in the Southern Guizhou Depression were analyzed with GC–MS. Characteristics of molecular markers and carbon isotopes are discussed systemically. The results showed that the oil seepage and solid bitumen samples in the Southern Guizhou Depression could be divided into two families: Ordovician and Siluric samples, and Permian samples. 14Natural variations of OsAUX5,a target gene of OsWRKY78,control the neutral essential amino acid content in rice grains显示文摘Grain essential amino acid(EAA)levels contribute to rice nutritional quality.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying EAA accumulation and natural variation in rice grains remain unclear.Here we report the identification of a previously unrecognized auxin influx carrier subfamily gene,OsAUX5,which encodes an amino acid transporter that functions in uptake of multiple amino acids.We identified an elite haplotype of Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) that enhances grain EAA accumulation without an apparent negative effect on agronomic traits.Natural variations of OsAUX5 occur in the cis elements of its promoter,which are differentially activated because of the different binding affinity between OsWRKY78 and the W-box,contributing to grain EAA variation among rice varieties.The two distinct haplotypes were shown to have originated from different Oryza rufipogon progenitors,which contributed to the divergence between japonica and indica.Introduction of the indica-type Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) genotype into japonica could significantly increase EAA levels,indicating that indica-type Pro::OsAUX5^(Hap2) can be utilized to increase grain EAAs of japonica varieties.Collectively,our study uncovers an WRKY78–OsAUX5-based regulatory mechanism controlling grain EAA accumulation and provides a potential target for breeding EAA-rich rice.Yuheng Shi Yuanyuan Zhang Yangyang Sun Ziyang Xie Yu Luo Qiyuan Long Jiahui Feng Xueqing Liu Bi Wang Dujun He Junxia Ren Peizhen Guo Junwei Xing Liqiang He Alisdair RFernie Wei Chen Xianqing Liu Yuehua Luo Cheng Jin Jie Luo 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,2:0
15Integration of rhythmic metabolome and transcriptome provides insights into the transmission of rhythmic fluctuations and temporal diversity of metabolism in rice显示文摘Various aspects of the organisms adapt to cyclically changing environmental conditions via transcriptional regulation.However,the role of rhythmicity in altering the global aspects of metabolism is poorly characterized.Here,we subjected four rice(Oryza sativa)varieties to a range of metabolic profiles and RNA-seq to investigate the temporal relationships of rhythm between transcription and metabolism.More than 40%of the rhythmic genes and a quarter of metabolites conservatively oscillated across four rice accessions.Compared with the metabolome,the transcriptome was more strongly regulated by rhythm;however,the rhythm of metabolites had an obvious opposite trend between day and night.Through association analysis,the time delay of rhythmic transmission from the transcript to the metabolite level was~4 h under long-day conditions,although the transmission was nearly synchronous for carbohydrate and nucleotide metabolism.The rhythmic accumulation of metabolites maintained highly coordinated temporal relationships in the metabolic network,whereas the correlation of some rhythmic metabolites,such as branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs),was significantly different intervariety.We further demonstrated that the cumulative diversity of BCAAs was due to the differential expression of branched-chain aminotransferase 2 at dawn.Our research reveals the flexible pattern of rice metabolic rhythm existing with conservation and diversity.Junjie Zhou Chengyuan Liu Qiyu Chen Ling Liu Shuying Niu Ridong Chen Kang Li Yangyang Sun Yuheng Shi Chenkun Yang Shuangqian Shen Yufei Li Junwei Xing Honglun Yuan Xianqing Liu Chuanying Fang Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,9:0
16Superelastic alloy based electrical interconnects for highly stretchable electronics显示文摘To achieve stretchable inorganic electronics,improving elastic stretchability of the electrical interconnects becomes a bottleneck needed to be addressed.Here,we propose a material of Ni-Ti superelastic alloy for the design and fabrication of deformable interconnects,whose intrinsic elastic property overcomes the low intrinsic elastic strain limit of conventional metals.The serpentine interconnect made by Ni-Ti alloy with an intrinsic elastic strain limit of~7.5%represents a much higher elastic stretchability than conventional Cu interconnect.The deformation behavior of the interconnect is systematically investigated through finite element analysis(FEA)simulations and experiments.The results reveal that the interconnect exhibits an elastic stretchability up to 196%,and its resistance only changes by 0.4%with 100% strain.Moreover,the potentials and challenges of other superelastic alloys as electrical interconnects are discussed.The proposed superelastic alloys fundamentally boost the stretchable properties of electrical interconnects,which would open up opportunities for flexible and stretchable electronics.Yangyong Zhao Weifan Zhou Yixiang Shi Xianqing Yang Yuanyuan Bai Lianhui Li Shuqi Wang Tie Li Simin Feng Ting Zhang 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
17Identification of the Wave-Particles Interaction in Space Plasma Using Higher-Order Statistics显示文摘The interaction of wave-particles and wave-wave in the space plasmas are essentially non-linearor non-Gaussian Processes. Using the higher-order statistical analyses’ methods (higher-order moments andhi-tri correlation or hi-tri spectrum), its physical properties can be described. The question addressed in thispaper is that or the usefulness or higher-order statiscal analysis for Identification of the wave-particles interaction in space plasmas. The signals handled are from the ARCAD-3 ISOPROBE experiment on ELF frequency range, then strong electrostatic turbulence and electron density irregularities. Second and third order statistical analyses are applied: first, on time series associated with each type of measurement, then, on the twotype. All results are presented for one typical case.
