| 1 | Adsorption of heavy metal ions from aqueous solution by carboxylated cellulose nanocrystals显示文摘A novel nanoadsorbent for the removal of heavy metal ions is reported.Cotton was first hydrolyzed to obtain cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs).CNCs were then chemically modified with succinic anhydride to obtain SCNCs.The sodic nanoadsorbent(NaSCNCs) was further prepared by treatment of SCNCs with saturated NaHCO 3 aqueous solution.Batch experiments were carried out with SCNCs and NaSCNCs for the removal of Pb 2+ and Cd 2+.The effects of contact time,pH,initial adsorption concentration,coexisting ions and the regeneration performance were investigated.Kinetic studies showed that the adsorption equilibrium time of Pb 2+ and Cd 2+ was reached within 150 min on SCNCs and 5 min on NaSCNCs.The adsorption capacities of Pb 2+ and Cd 2+ on SCNCs and NaSCNCs increased with increasing pH.The adsorption isotherm was well fitted by the Langmuir model.The maximum adsorption capacities of SCNCs and NaSCNCs for Pb 2+ and Cd 2+ were 367.6 mg/g,259.7 mg/g and 465.1 mg/g,344.8 mg/g,respectively.SCNCs and NaSCNCs showed high selectivity and interference resistance from coexisting ions for the adsorption of Pb 2+.NaSCNCs could be efficiently regenerated with a mild saturated NaCl solution with no loss of capacity after two recycles.The adsorption mechanisms of SCNCs and NaSCNCs were discussed. | Xiaolin Yu Shengrui Tong Maofa Ge Lingyan Wu Junchao Zuo Changyan Cao Weiguo Song | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5: | 29 |
| 2 | Synthesis of novel nanomaterials and their application in efficient removal of radionuclides显示文摘With the development of nuclear energy, large amounts of radionuclides are inevitably released into the natural environment. It is necessary to eliminate radionuclides from wastewater for the protection of environment. Nanomaterials have been considered as the potential candidates for the effective and selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions under complicated conditions because of their high specific surface area, large amounts of binding sites, abundant functional groups, pore-size controllable and easily surface modification. This review mainly summarized the recent studies for the synthesis, fabrication and surface modification of novel nanomaterials and their applications in the efficient elimination and solidification of radionuclides,and discussed the interaction mechanisms from batch experiments, spectroscopy analysis and theoretical calculations. | 4 | Polyamine Accumulation in Transgenic Tomato Enhances the Tolerance to High Temperature Stress显示文摘Polyamines play an important role in plant response to abiotic stress.S-adenosyl-l-methionine decarboxylase(SAMDC) is one of the key regulatory enzymes in the biosynthesis of polyamines.In order to better understand the effect of regulation of polyamine biosynthesis on the tolerance of high-temperature stress in tomato,SAMDC cDNA isolated from Saccharomyces cerevisiae was introduced into tomato genome by means of Agrobacterium tumefaciens through leaf disc transformation.Transgene and expression was confirmed by Southern and Northern blot analyses,respectively.Transgenic plants expressing yeast SAMDC produced 1.7-to 2.4-fold higher levels of spermidine and spermine than wild-type plants under high temperature stress,and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity and the protection of membrane lipid peroxidation was also observed.This subsequently improved the efficiency of CO2 assimilation and protected the plants from high temperature stress,which indicated that the transgenic tomato presented an enhanced tolerance to high temperature stress(38℃) compared with wild-type plants.Our results demonstrated clearly that increasing polyamine biosynthesis in plants may be a means of creating high temperature-tolerant germplasm. | Lin Cheng Yijing Zou Shuli Ding Jiajing Zhang Xiaolin Yu Jiashu Cao Gang Lu | 2009 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5: | 16 |
| 5 | A new feathered maniraptoran dinosaur fossil that fills a morphological gap in avian origin显示文摘Recent fossil discoveries have substantially reduced the morphological gap between non-avian and avian dinosaurs, yet avians including Archaeopteryx differ from non-avian theropods in their limb proportions. In particular, avians have proportionally longer and more robust forelimbs that are capable of supporting a large aerodynamic surface. Here we report on a new maniraptoran dinosaur, Anchiornis huxleyi gen. et sp. nov., based on a specimen collected from lacustrine deposits of uncertain age in western Liaoning, China. With an estimated mass of 110 grams, Anchiornis is the smallest known non-avian theropod dinosaur. It exhibits some wrist features indicative of high mobility, presaging the wing-folding mechanisms seen in more derived birds and suggesting rapid evolution of the carpus. Otherwise, Anchiornis is intermediate in general morphology between non-avian and avian dinosaurs, particularly with regard to relative forelimb length and thickness, and represents a transitional step toward the avian condition. | 10 | Thermodynamic conditions of framework grain dissolution of clastic rocks and its application in Kela 2 gas field显示文摘Feldspar and clastic debris are the most important constituent framework grains of sedimentary clastic rocks and their chemical dissolution plays an essential role in the formation and evolution of the secondary pore in the reservoir rocks. On the basis of thermodynamic phase equilibrium, this study investigates the chemical equilibrium relationships between fluid and various plagioclase and K-feldspar in diagenesis of the sediments, particularly, the impact of temperature and fluid compositions (pH, activity of K+, Na+, Ca2+ and so on) on precipitation and dissolution equilibria of feldspars. Feldspar is extremely easily dissolved in the acid pore water with a low salinity when temperature decreases. The dissolution of anorthite end-member of plagioclase is related to the Ca content of the mineral and the fluid, higher Ca either in the mineral or in the fluid, easier dissolution of the feldspar. Moreover, the dissolution of albite end-member of plagioclase is related to Na of both the mineral and fluid, lower Na out of both the mineral and fluid, easier dissolution of the mineral. Similarly, lower-K fluid is more powerful to dissolve K-feldspar than the higher. The anorthite component of plagioclase is most easily dissolved in ground water-rock system, the albite is the secondary, and K-feldspar is the most stable. Selective dissolution of plagioclase occurs in diagenesis because of the plagioclase solid solution that is mainly composed of albite and anorthite end-members, Ca-rich part of which is preferentially dissolved by the pore water, in contrast to the Na-rich parts. Based on investigation of reservoir quality, secondary pore, dissolution structures of feldspar, clay minerals and ground water chemistry of the Kela 2 gas field of Kuqa Depression in the Tarim basin of Western China, we discovered that the secondary pore is very well developed in the highest quality section of the reservoir, and the plagioclase of which was obviously selectively dissolved, in contrast to the overgrowth of K-feldspar. Chemistry of the ground water out of the highest quality section of the reservoir is consistent with the complete dissolution field of anorthite, partial dissolution field of albite component of plagioclase, and the precipitation of K-feldspar on the temperature-logK phase equilibrium diagram drawn from this study. The thermodynamic modeling calculation gave us an insight into formation of the secondary pore within the reservoir, and the dissolution of plagioclase an important cause of the secondary pore. | 12 | Removal of 2-ClBP from soil–water system using activated carbon supported nanoscale zerovalent iron显示文摘We explored the feasibility and removal mechanism of removing 2-chlorobiphenyl(2-Cl BP)from soil–water system using granular activated carbon(GAC) impregnated with nanoscale zerovalent iron(reactive activated carbon or RAC).The RAC samples were successfully synthesized by the liquid precipitation method.The mesoporous GAC based RAC with low iron content(1.32%) exhibited higher 2-Cl BP removal efficiency(54.6%) in the water phase.The result of Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model implied that the different molecular structures between 2-Cl BP and trichloroethylene(TCE) resulted in more difference in dechlorination reaction rates on RAC than adsorption capacities.Compared to removing2-Cl BP in the water phase,RAC removed the 2-Cl BP more slowly in the soil phase due to the significant external mass transfer resistance.However,in the soil phase,a better removal capacity of RAC was observed than its base GAC because the chemical dechlorination played a more important role in total removal process for 2-Cl BP.This important result verified the effectiveness of RAC for removing 2-Cl BP in the soil phase.Although reducing the total RAC removal rate of 2-Cl BP,soil organic matter(SOM),especially the soft carbon,also served as an electron transfer medium to promote the dechlorination of 2-Cl BP in the long term. | Wei Zhang Tian Yu Xiaolin Han Weichi Ying | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,9: | 8 |
| 13 | Mineral Transition of Calcium Aluminate Clinker during High-Temperature Sintering with Low-lime Dosage显示文摘The mineral transition mechanism and physicochemical property of calcium aluminate clinker sintered at 1350 ℃ were systematically studied using analytical reagent α-Al_2O_3,CaCO_3 and SiO_2 when the molar ratio of CaO to Al_2O_3 is 1.0.The results show that the formation of Ca_2SiO_4 accelerates the diffusion of CaO and Al_2O_3,which promotes the formation of CaAl_2O_4 determined by dilatometer,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy methods.CaAl_4O_7,Ca_3Al_2O_6,Ca_3SiO_5 and Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 only exist in the initial stage of reactions,the amounts of which decrease with the increase of sintering duration.Ca_3Al_2O_6 and Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) react with Al_2O_3 and CaAl_4O_7 to form CaAl_2O_4,while Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 reacts with CaO and Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) to form Ca_2SiO_4 and CaAl_2O_4.The sintered clinker contains CaAl_2O_4 and γ-Ca_2SiO_4 as well as some Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33) when the sintering duration is longer than 1.0 h.The differential scanning calorimetry results reveal that Ca_2SiO_4,Ca_2Al_2SiO_7 and CaAl_2O_4 are formed at985 ℃,1045℃ and 1339 ℃,respectively.Increasing the sintering duration contributes to the transition of β-Ca_2SiO_4 to γ-Ca_2SiO_4,which improves the pulverization and alumina leaching property of the sintered clinker. | Di Zhang Xiaolin Pan Haiyan Yu Yuchun Zhai | 2015 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,12: | 7 |

XRD and PL were employed to characterize their properties. The results show that Eu 3+ ions preferentially occupy Sr 2+ asymmetry cationic sites, thus emitting 612 nm red light originated from 5D0 to 7F2 transition. The luminescent intensity can be greatly enhanced with incorporation of Li+ ions. The excitation efficiency in range of 350~400 nm also increases greatly due to incorporating Li+ ions. | 15 | Comparison of microwave assisted extraction with hot reflux extraction in acquirement and degradation of anthocyanin from powdered blueberry显示文摘Acquirement and degradation kinetics of anthocyanin from powdered blueberry were studied to analyze the degradation reason and improve the yield of anthocyanin under microwave assisted extraction(MAE)conditions.Hot reflux extraction(HRE)method was employed as a reference with MAE to discriminate the influences of the microwave irradiation under the same extraction temperature at 30℃-70℃.Ethanol was selected as extraction solvent.Microwave volumetric heating improves the diffusion and solubility of anthocyanin within powdered blueberry particles in the pre-heating period.The kinetic coefficients,in terms of delivery kinetic and diffusion kinetic,are lower in MAE than that in HRE.Four anthocyanins including delphinidin,cyanidin,malvidin and pelaronidin were detected in the anthocyanin extracts from blueberry.Delphinidin,cyaniding,and pelargonidin contents significantly decrease,but malvidin was unchanged in MAE.Anthocyanin yield increases with elevating extraction temperatures,but anthocyanin degradation occurred at 41.2℃.The acquirement amount of anthocyanin is lower than its degradation amount when microwave extraction temperature is higher than 53.6℃.The self-aggregation of anthocyanin molecules and degradation results in the reduction of anthocyanin yield extracted from blueberry powder.In MAE,microwave volumetric heating results in the rapidly elevated temperature in pre-heating stage and generation of internal pressure to improve the acquirement of anthocyanin and the non-thermal effect from microwave field may weak the effect of temperature to decline the degradation of anthocyanin to monomer.The non-thermal microwave irradiation has pronounced effects compared to the effects of temperature on the structure changes of anthocyanin molecules at extraction temperature below 50℃.In HRE,convection mode of heat transfer in extraction system form the non-uniform distribution of temperature in the extraction vials to decrease the acquirement yield of anthocyanin from the blueberry powder.The research results provide valuable data to optimize extraction temperature for high extraction yield and bioactivity of anthocyanin in microwave extraction process. | Sun Yu Xue Hongkun Liu Chenghai Liu Chai Su Xiaolin Zheng Xianzhe | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6: | 7 |
| 16 | Trajectory optimization of multiple quad-rotor UAVs in collaborative assembling task显示文摘A hierarchic optimization strategy based on the offline path planning process and online trajectory planning process is presented to solve the trajectory optimization problem of multiple quad-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles in the collaborative assembling task. Firstly, the path planning process is solved by a novel parallel intelligent optimization algorithm, the central force optimization-genetic algorithm(CFO-GA), which combines the central force optimization(CFO)algorithm with the genetic algorithm(GA). Because of the immaturity of the CFO, the convergence analysis of the CFO is completed by the stability theory of the linear time-variant discrete-time systems. The results show that the parallel CFO-GA algorithm converges faster than the parallel CFO and the central force optimization-sequential quadratic programming(CFO-SQP) algorithm. Then,the trajectory planning problem is established based on the path planning results. In order to limit the range of the attitude angle and guarantee the flight stability, the optimized object is changed from the ordinary six-degree-of-freedom rigid-body dynamic model to the dynamic model with an inner-loop attitude controller. The results show that the trajectory planning process can be solved by the mature SQP algorithm easily. Finally, wavelet packet parameters of EEG are extracted as the features of brain activity in different mental fatigue states. Kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) and support vector machine (SVM) are jointly applied to differentiate two states. The statistic results show that the level of both subjective sleepiness and fatigue increase significantly from pre-task to post-task, which indicate that the long time VDT task induces the mental fatigue to the subjects. The predominant activ-ity of autonomic nervous system of subjects turns to the sympathetic activity from parasympathetic activity after the task. The P300 components and wavelet packet parameters of EEG are strongly related with mental fatigue. Moreover, the joint KPCA-SVM method is able to effectively reduce the dimension-ality of the feature vectors, speed up the convergence in the training of SVM and achieve a high rec-ognition accuracy (87%) of mental fatigue state. | 19 | Mycorrhizal symbiosis modulates the rhizosphere microbiota to promote rhizobia–legume symbiosis显示文摘Plants establish symbioses with mutualistic fungi,such as arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,and bacteria,such as rhizobia,to exchange key nutrients and thrive.Plants and symbionts have coevolved and represent vital components of terrestrial ecosystems.Plants employ an ancestral AM signaling pathway to establish intracellular symbioses,including the legume–rhizobia symbiosis,in their roots.Nevertheless,the relationship between the AM and rhizobial symbioses in native soil is poorly understood.Here,we examined how these distinct symbioses affect root-associated bacterial communities in Medicago truncatula by performing quantitative microbiota profiling(QMP)of 16S rRNA genes.We found that M.truncatula mutants that cannot establish AM or rhizobia symbiosis have an altered microbial load(quantitative abundance)in the rhizosphere and roots,and in particular that AM symbiosis is required to assemble a normal quantitative root-associated microbiota in native soil.Moreover,quantitative microbial co-abundance network analyses revealed that AM symbiosis affects Rhizobiales hubs among plant microbiota and benefits the plant holobiont.Through QMP of rhizobial rpoB and AM fungal SSU rRNA genes,we revealed a new layer of interaction whereby AM symbiosis promotes rhizobia accumulation in the rhizosphere of M.truncatula.We further showed that AM symbiosis-conditioned microbial communities within the M.truncatula rhizosphere could promote nodulation in different legume plants in native soil.Given that the AM and rhizobial symbioses are critical for crop growth,our findings might inform strategies to improve agricultural management.Moreover,our work sheds light on the co-evolution of these intracellular symbioses during plant adaptation to native soil conditions. | Xiaolin Wang Huan Feng Yayu Wang Mingxing Wang Xingguang Xie Huizhong Chang Like Wang Jicheng Qu Kai Sun Wei He Chunyan Wang Chuanchao Dai Zhaohui Chu Changfu Tian Nan Yu Xuebin Zhang Huan Liu Ertao Wang | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,3: | 6 |
