1Two-Dimensional Tellurium:Progress,Challenges,and Prospects显示文摘Since the successful fabrication of two-dimensional(2D)tellurium(Te)in 2017,its fascinating properties including a thickness dependence bandgap,environmental stability,piezoelectric effect,high carrier mobility,and photoresponse among others show great potential for various applications.These include photodetectors,field-effect transistors,piezoelectric devices,modulators,and energy harvesting devices.However,as a new member of the 2D material family,much less known is about 2D Te compared to other 2D materials.Motivated by this lack of knowledge,we review the recent progress of research into 2D Te nanoflakes.Firstly,we introduce the background and motivation of this review.Then,the crystal structures and synthesis methods are presented,followed by an introduction to their physical properties and applications.Finally,the challenges and further development directions are summarized.We believe that milestone investigations of 2D Te nanoflakes will emerge soon,which will bring about great industrial revelations in 2D materials-based nanodevice commercialization.Zhe Shi Rui Cao Karim Khan Ayesha Khan Tareen Xiaosong Liu Weiyuan Liang Ye Zhang Chunyang Ma Zhinan Guo Xiaoling Luo Han Zhang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,8:8
2A critical epitope in CD147 facilitates memory CD4^(+) T-cell hyper-activation in rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘The abnormal activation of CD4^(+)CD45RO+memory T(Tm)cells plays an important role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Previous studies have shown that CD147 participates in T-cell activation.However,it remains unclear whether CD147 is involved in abnormal Tm-cell activation in RA patients.In this study,we demonstrated that CD147 was predominantly upregulated in Tm cells derived from RA patients.The anti-CD147 mAb 5A12 specifically inhibited Tm-cell activation and proliferation and further restrained osteoclastogenesis.Using a structural–functional approach,we depicted the interface between 5A12 and CD147.This allowed us to identify two critical residues,Lys63 and Asp65,as potential targets for RA treatment,as the double mutation K63A/D65A inhibited Tm-cell activation,mimicking the neutralization by 5A12.This study provides not only a theoretical basis for a“CD147-Tm/Osteoclast-RA chain”for the potential prevention and treatment of RA or other T-cell-mediated autoimmune diseases but also a new target for related drug design and development.Na Guo Sheng Ye Kui Zhang Xiaoling Yu Hongyong Cui Xiangmin Yang Peng lin Minghua Lv Jinlin Miao Yang Zhang Qing Han Rongguang Zhang Zhinan Chen Ping Zhu 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6:6
3A thermostability perspective on enhancing physicochemical and cytological characteristics of octacalcium phosphate by doping iron and strontium显示文摘Investigation of thermostability will lead the groundbreaking of unraveling the mechanism of influence of ion-doping on the properties of calcium phosphates.In this work,octacalcium phosphate(OCP),a metastable precursor of biological apatite,was used as a stability model for doping ions(Fe^(3+)and Sr^(2+))with different ionic charges and radii.After treated under hot air at different temperatures(110-200◦C),the phase,morphology,structure,physicochemical properties,protein affinity,ions release,and cytological responses of the ion-doped OCPs were investigated comparatively.The results showed that the collapse of OCP crystals gradually occurred,accompanying with the dehydration of hydrated layers and the disintegration of plate-like crystals as the temperature increased.The collapsed crystals still retained the typical properties of OCP and the potential of conversion into hydroxyapatite.Compared to the undoped OCP,Fe-OCP,and Sr-OCP had lower and higher thermostability respectively,leading to different material surface properties and ions release.The adjusted thermostability of Fe-OCP and Sr-OCP significantly enhanced the adsorption of proteins(BSA and LSZ)and the cytological behavior(adhesion,spreading,proliferation,and osteogenic differentiation)of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells to a varying extent under the synergistic effects of corresponding surface characteristics and early active ions release.This work paves the way for understanding the modification mechanism of calcium phosphates utilizing ion doping strategy and developing bioactive OCP-based materials for tissue repair.Haishan Shi Xiaoling Ye Jing Zhang Tingting Wu Tao Yu Changren Zhou Jiandong Ye 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:3

5Nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube encapsulating cobalt nanoparticles towards efficient oxygen reduction for zinc–air battery显示文摘Nitrogen-doped carbon materials encapsulating 3 d transition metals are promising alternatives to replace noble metal Pt catalysts for efficiently catalyzing the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). Herein, we use cobalt substituted perfluorosulfonic acid/polytetrafluoroethylene copolymer and dicyandiamide as the pyrolysis precursor to synthesize nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube(N–CNT) encapsulating cobalt nanoparticles hybrid material. The carbon layers and specific surface area of N–CNT have a critical role to the ORR performance due to the exposed active sites, determined by the mass ratio of the two precursors. 6InAs-based interband cascade lasers at 4.0 μm operating at room temperature显示文摘InAs-based interband cascade lasers(ICLs) with InAs plasmon waveguides or InAs/AlSb superlattice(SL) waveguides were demonstrated at emission wavelengths below 4.1 μm. The threshold current densities of the lasers with SL waveguides were 37 A/cm^2 at 77 K in continuous wave mode. The operation temperature of these lasers reached room temperature in pulsed mode. 19Role of Toll-like receptor 4 and Janus kinase and signal transducer and activator of transcription signal transduction pathway in sepsis-induced brain damage显示文摘The Janus kinase and signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) signal trans-duction pathway is involved in sepsis-induced functional damage to the heart, liver, kidney, and other organs. However, the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying sepsis-induced brain damage remain elusive. In the present study, we found severe loss of neurons in the hippocampal CA1 region in rats with sepsis-induced brain damage following intraperitoneal injection of en-dotoxin, The expression of toll-like receptor 4, tumor necrosis factor α, and interleukin-6 was significantly increased in brain tissues following lipopolysaccharide exposure. AG490 (JAK2 an-tagonist) and rapamycin (STAT3 antagonist) significantly reduced neuronal loss and suppressed the increased expression of toll-like receptor 4, tumor necrosis factor α, and interleukin-6 in the hippocampal CA1 region in sepsis-induced brain damaged rats.
