| 2 | Characteristics and origin of abnormally high porosity zones in buried Paleogene clastic reservoirs in the Shengtuo area, Dongying Sag, East China显示文摘There are three abnormally high porosity zones developed in buried Paleogene nearshore subaqueous fan and sublacustrine fan clastic reservoirs at 2,800-3,200 m, 3,250-3,700 m and 3,900-4,400 m, respectively, within the Shengtuo area of the Dongying Sag. Here the porosity of reservoirs buried deeper than 4,000 m can still be greater than 20%. Investigation of these three abnormally high porosity(AHP) zones in the 3rd to 4th member of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation in the Shengtuo area was carried out with utilization of core observation, thin section identification, SEM observation, image analysis, core physical property testing and other technical methods. The results show that, the AHP zones in 2,800-3,200 m and 3,250-3,700 m are visible pores primary AHP zones dominated by significant primary intergranular pores(more than 50% of the total porosity), while secondary pores and micropores in authigenic clays may develop in some reservoirs. AHP reservoirs in the AHP zone of 3,900-4,400 m are dominated by micropores in matrix, visible pores are mainly grain dissolution pores but with low absolute content(< 1%), so this zone belongs to the micropores primary AHP zone. The genesis of the three AHP zones was studied to distinguish between porosity enhancement and porosity preservation. Our research shows that, in deeply buried clastic reservoirs in the Shengtuo area, mineral dissolution occurred in a relatively closed diagenetic system with high temperature and high salinity. Reservoir rocks underwent extensive feldspar dissolution, while detrital carbonate grains and carbonate cements show no evidence of extensive dissolution. Although significant feldspar dissolution pores developed, feldspar dissolution enhanced porosity only a little due to the precipitation of almost isovolumetric dissolution products in the nearby primary intergranular pores in forms of authigenic clays and quartz cements. Net enhanced porosity originating from feldspar dissolution is generally less than 0.25%. Thus, the subsurface dissolution has little impact on the mid-deep buried high porosity reservoirs. Reservoirs in braided channels of middle fans in sublacustrine fans and reservoirs in the middle-front of fan bodies of nearshore subaqueous fans provide the basis for the development of AHP zones. The shallow development of fluid overpressure and early hydrocarbon emplacement have effectively retarded compaction and carbonate cementation, so that the high porosity in the superficial layers is preserved in the mid-deep layers. | 3 | Geochemistry of the subduction-related magmatic rocks in the Dahong Mountains, northern Hubei Province--Constraint on the existence and subduction of the eastern Mianlüe oceanic basin显示文摘The existence and subduction of the eastern Mianl黣 oceanic basin in the south Qinling belt are keys to understand the Qinling orogen. Based on geological mapping, several volcanic slices have been identified in Tumen, Zhoujiawan, Xiaofu and Yuantan areas, which distribute in the northern margin of the Dahong Mountains (DHM), and thrust into the Sanli-gang-Sanyang fault. These slices consist mainly of diabases, basaltic-andesitic lavas, pyroclastic rocks and a minor tuff. The geochemistry of the basalts, andesites,and diabases is characterized by depleting in Nb and Ta, enriching in Th and LILE (e.g.K, Rb, Ba), and undifferentiating in HFSE. These geochemical characteristics suggest that the original magma of these rocks was derived from a mantle wedge above a subduction zone, and formed in an island-arc setting in Carboniferous-early Triassic. Comparing with the ophiolites and island-arc volcanic rocks in Mianxian-Leyang area to the west, it is reasonable to consider that there had been an oceanic basin connecting with the Mianle ancient ocean to the westward, distributing along the south edge of the Tongbai-Dabie block. | 5 | Response of vegetation to temperature and precipitation in Xinjiang during the period of 1998-2009显示文摘In this paper,10-day spatio-temporal response of vegetation to the change of temperature and precipitation in spring,summer,autumn and whole year during the period of 1998―2009 was analyzed based on the data of SPOT VEGETATION-NDVI and 10-day average temperature or precipitation from 54 meteorological stations in Xinjiang.The results show that the response of 10-day NDVI to temperature was more significant than that to precipitation,and the maximal response of vegetation to temperature and precipitation lagged for two 10-day periods.Seasonally,the effect of temperature and precipitation on vegetation NDVI was most marked in autumn,then in spring,and it was not significant in summer.The response of vegetation to 10-day change of meteorological factors was positive with a long affecting duration in spring,and it had a relatively short affecting duration in autumn and summer.Spatially,the 10-day maximal response of NDVI to temperature in northern Xinjiang was higher than that in southern Xinjiang.The correlation between the 10-day NDVI in whole year and the temperature in the 0-8th 10-day period was significantly higher than that between the annual NDVI and the annual temperature at all meteorological stations;the interannual change of NDVI was accordant well with the change of annual precipitation.However,the effect of precipitation within a year on NDVI was not strong.The results indicated that interannual change of temperature was not the dominant factor affecting the change of vegetation NDVI in Xinjiang,but the decrease of annual precipitation was the main factor resulting in the fluctuation of vegetation coverage.Ten-day average temperature was an important factor to promote vegetation growth in Xinjiang within a year,but the effect of precipitation on vegetation growth within a year was not strong. | XiaoMing CAO Xi CHEN AnMing BAO Quan WANG | 2011 | Journal of Arid Land2011,3,2: | 9 |
| 6 | Mitigation of stimulated Raman scattering in kilowatt-level diode-pumped fiber amplifiers with chirped and tilted fiber Bragg gratings显示文摘The average power of diode-pumped fiber lasers has been developed deeply into the kW regime in the past years.However, stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) is still a major factor limiting the further power scaling. Here, we have demonstrated the mitigation of SRS in kilowatt-level diode-pumped fiber amplifiers using a chirped and tilted fiber Bragg grating(CTFBG) for the first time. The CTFBG is designed and inscribed in large-mode-area(LMA) fibers, matching with the operating wavelength of the fiber amplifier. With the CTFBG inserted between the seed laser and the amplifier stage, an SRS suppression ratio of ~10 dB is achieved in spectrum at the maximum output laser power of 2.35 kW,and there is no reduction in laser slope efficiency and degradation in beam quality. | 8 | Novel constant-cladding tapered-core ytterbium-doped fiber for high-power fiber laser oscillator显示文摘Power scaling based on traditional ytterbium-doped fibers(YDFs)is limited by optical nonlinear effects and transverse mode instability(TMI)in high-power fiber lasers.Here,we propose a novel long tapered fiber with a constant cladding and tapered core(CCTC)along its axis direction.The tapered-core region of the fiber is designed to enhance the stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)threshold and suppress higher-order mode resonance in the laser cavity.The CCTC YDF was fabricated successfully with a modified chemical vapor deposition(MCVD)method combined with solution doping technology,which has a cladding diameter of 400µm and a varying core with a diameter of~24μm at both ends and~31μm in the middle.To test the performance of the CCTC fiber during high-power operation,an all-fiber laser oscillator based on a CCTC YDF was investigated experimentally.As a result,a maximum output power of 3.42 kW was achieved with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 55.2%,although the TMI effect was observed at an output power of~3.12 kW.The measured beam quality(M^(2)factor)was~1.7,and no sign of the Raman component was observed in the spectrum.We believe that CCTC YDF has great potential to simultaneously mitigate the SRS and TMI effects,and further power scaling is promising by optimizing the structure of the YDF. | Yun Ye Xianfeng Lin Xiaoming Xi Chen Shi Baolai Yang Hanwei Zhang Xiaolin Wang Jinyan Li Xiaojun Xu | 2021 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2: | 5 |
| 9 | Treatability of volatile chlorinated hydrocarbon-contaminated soils of different textures along a vertical profile by mechanical soil aeration:A laboratory test显示文摘Mechanical soil aeration is a simple, effective, and low-cost soil remediation technology that is suitable for sites contaminated with volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons(VCHs). Conventionally, this technique is used to treat the mixed soil of a site without considering the diversity and treatability of different soils within the site. A laboratory test was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of mechanical soil aeration for remediating soils of different textures(silty,clayey, and sandy soils) along a vertical profile at an abandoned chloro-alkali chemical site in China. The collected soils were artificially contaminated with chloroform(TCM) and trichloroethylene(TCE). Mechanical soil aeration was effective for remediating VCHs(removal efficiency > 98%). The volatilization process was described by an exponential kinetic function.In the early stage of treatment(0–7 hr), rapid contaminant volatilization followed a pseudofirst order kinetic model. VCH concentrations decreased to low levels and showed a tailing phenomenon with very slow contaminant release after 8 hr. Compared with silty and sandy soils, clayey soil has high organic-matter content, a large specific surface area, a high clay fraction, and a complex pore structure. These characteristics substantially influenced the removal process, making it less efficient, more time consuming, and consequently more expensive. | 10 | Effect of Microwave Heating on Infrared Radiation Properties of Cordierite-Ferrites Based Composite Ceramics显示文摘The cordierite-ferrites based infrared radiation composite materials were synthesized with Fe2O3, Mn O2, Cu O, Co2O3, and Mg2Al4Si5O18 powders as raw materials via microwave heating. The cordierite-ferrites based composite ceramics could be obtained via microwave heating at 1173 K for 1 h or 1473 K for 10 min, respectively. The lower synthesis temperature or the shorter heating time results in the smaller grain size of the composite ceramics obtained by microwave heating. The interplanar distance of cordierite becomes greater after microwave heating, indicating that the doping effect of transitional metal oxides on the cordierite is more efficient in microwave heating. | 11 | Comprehensive identification and analyses of the Hsf gene family in the whole-genome of three Apiaceae species显示文摘Apiaceae is a major family from Apiales and includes many important vegetable and medicinal crops.Heat shock transcription factors(Hsf)play important roles in heat tolerance during plant development.Here,we conducted systematic analyses of the Hsf gene family in three Apiaceae species,including 17 Apium graveolens(celery),32 Coriandrum sativum(coriander),and 14 Daucus carota(carrot).A total of 73 Hsf genes were identified in three representative species,including Arabidopsis thaliana,Vitis vinifera,and Lactuca sativa.Whole-genome duplication played important roles in the Hsf gene family’s expansion within Apiaceae.Interestingly,we found that coriander had more Hsf genes than celery and carrot due to greater expansion and fewer losses.Twenty-seven branches of the phylogenetic tree underwent considerable positive selection in these Apiaceae species.We also explored the expression patterns of Hsf genes in three plant organs.Collectively,this study will serve as a rich gene resource for exploring the molecular mechanisms of heat tolerance.Additionally,this is the first study to report on the Hsf gene family in Apiaceae;thus,our research will provide guidance for future comparative and functional genomic studies on the Hsf gene family and others in Apiaceae. | Qiaoying Pei Tong Yu TongWu Qihang Yang Ke Gong Rong Zhou Chunlin Cui Ying Yu Wei Zhao Xi Kang Rui Cao Xiaoming Song | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5: | 3 |
| 12 | Towards high-power mid-IR light source tunable from 3.8 to 4.5 µm by HBr-filled hollow-core silica fibres显示文摘Fibre lasers operating at the mid-IR have attracted enormous interest due to the plethora of applications in defence,security,medicine,and so on.However,no continuous-wave(CW)fibre lasers beyond 4μm based on rare-earth-doped fibres have been demonstrated thus far.Here,we report efficient mid-IR laser emission from HBr-filled silica hollow-core fibres(HCFs)for the first time.By pumping with a self-developed thulium-doped fibre amplifier seeded by several diode lasers over the range of 1940–1983 nm,narrow linewidth mid-IR emission from 3810 to 4496 nm has been achieved with a maximum laser power of about 500 mW and a slope efficiency of approximately 18%.To the best of our knowledge,the wavelength of 4496 nm with strong absorption in silica-based fibres is the longest emission wavelength from a CW fibre laser,and the span of 686 nm is also the largest tuning range achieved to date for any CW fibre laser.By further reducing the HCF transmission loss,increasing the pump power,improving the coupling efficiency,and optimizing the fibre length together with the pressure,the laser efficiency and output power are expected to increase significantly.This work opens new opportunities for broadly tunable high-power mid-IR fibre lasers,especially beyond 4μm. | Zhiyue Zhou Zefeng Wang Wei Huang Yulong Cui Hao Li Meng Wang Xiaoming Xi Shoufei Gao Yingying Wang | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,1: | 3 |

| 17 | Effects of fish meal replacement with Chlorella meal on growth performance,pigmentation,and liver health of largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides)显示文摘Chlorella meal is a potential protein source for aquafeeds.However,the physiological response of carnivorous fish fed Chlorella meal remains elusive.This study evaluated the effects of replacing dietary fish meal with Chlorella meal on growth performance,pigmentation,and liver health in largemouth bass.Five diets were formulated to replace dietary fish meal of 0%(C0,control),25%(C25),50%(C50),75%(C75),and 100%(C100)with Chlorella meal,respectively.Total 300 fish(17.6±0.03 g)were randomly assigned to 15 tanks(3 tanks/group).Fish were fed the experimental diet twice daily for 8 weeks.The increased dietary Chlorella meal quadratically influenced the final body weight(FBW),weight gain rate(WGR),specific growth rate(SGR),and feed intake(FI),which were significantly lower in the C100 group than in the other groups(P<0.05).The feed conversion ratio(FCR)increased linearly or quadratically with dietary Chlorella meal.Dietary Chlorella meal linearly or quadratically increased the lutein content of plasma,liver,and dorsal muscle of largemouth bass(P<0.05).Compared to the C0 group,all supplemented Chlorella meal groups significantly improved the yellowness(b*)of the dorsal body(1.5 to 2.0 fold),abdominal body(1.5 to 1.8 fold),and dorsal muscle(3.8 to 5.4 fold)of largemouth bass(P<0.05).In addition,compared to the C0 group,the liver vacuolation area of fish was significantly increased in the C75 and C100 groups(P<0.05).Transcriptional levels of apoptosis-related genes of b-cell lymphoma-2(bcl2),caspase-9-like(casp9),and caspase-3a(casp3)were markedly upregulated(0.9 to 1.6 fold)in the C100 group compared to the C0 group(P<0.05).Based on the quadratic regression analysis between FBW,WGR,or SGR and dietary Chlorella meal level,largemouth bass had the best growth when replacing 31.7%to 32.6%of fish meal with 15.03%to 15.43%dietary Chlorella meal.The present results indicated that dietary supplementation with Chlorella meal(11.85%to 47.45%)significantly enhanced the pigmentation;however,total replacement of fish meal(40%)with Chlorella meal(47.45%)caused growth retardation,apoptosis,and liver damage in largemouth bass. | Longwei Xi Qisheng Lu Yulong Liu Jingzhi Su Wen Chen Yulong Gong Dong Han Yunxia Yang Zhimin Zhang Junyan Jin Haokun Liu Xiaoming Zhu Shouqi Xie | 2022 | Animal Nutrition2022,,3: | 2 |
