1Effects of Shuanghuanglian oral liquids on patients with COVID-19:a randomized,open-label,parallel-controlled,multicenter clinical trial显示文摘We conducted a randomized,open-label,parallel-controlled,multicenter trial on the use of Shuanghuanglian(SHL),a traditional Chinese patent medicine,in treating cases of COVID-19.A total of 176 patients received SHL by three doses(56 in low dose,61 in middle dose,and 59 in high dose)in addition to standard care.The control group was composed of 59 patients who received standard therapy alone.Treatment with SHL was not associated with a difference from standard care in the time to disease recovery.Patients with 14-day SHL treatment had significantly higher rate in negative conversion of SARS-CoV-2 in nucleic acid swab tests than the patients from the control group(93.4%vs.73.9%,P=0.006).Analysis of chest computed tomography images showed that treatment with high-dose SHL significantly promoted absorption of inflammatory focus of pneumonia,which was evaluated by density reduction of inflammatory focus from baseline,at day 7(mean difference(95%CI),−46.39(−86.83 to−5.94)HU;P=0.025)and day 14(mean difference(95%CI),−74.21(−133.35 to−15.08)HU;P=0.014).No serious adverse events occurred in the SHL groups.This study illustrated that SHL in combination with standard care was safe and partially effective for the treatment of COVID-19.Li Ni Zheng Wen Xiaowen Hu Wei Tang Haisheng Wang Ling Zhou Lujin Wu Hong Wang Chang Xu Xizhen Xu Zhichao Xiao Zongzhe Li Chene Li Yujian Liu Jialin Duan Chen Chen Dan Li Runhua Zhang Jinliang Li Yongxiang Yi Wei Huang Yanyan Chen Jianping Zhao Jianping Zuo Jianping Weng Hualiang Jiang Dao Wen Wang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,5:7
2Review of Femtosecond-Laser-Inscribed Fiber Bragg Gratings:Fabrication Technologies and Sensing Applications显示文摘Fiber Bragg grating(FBG)is the most widely used optical fiber sensor due to its compact size,high sensitivity,and easiness for multiplexing.Conventional FBGs fabricated by using an ultraviolet(UV)laser phase-mask method require the sensitization of the optical fiber and could not be used at high temperatures.Recently,the fabrication of FBGs by using a femtosecond laser has attracted extensive interests due to its excellent flexibility in creating FBGs array or special FBGs with complex spectra.The femtosecond laser could also be used for inscribing various FBGs on almost all fiber types,even fibers without any photosensitivity.Such femtosecond-laser-induced FBGs exhibit excellent thermal stability,which is suitable for sensing in harsh environment.In this review,we present the historical developments and recent advances in the fabrication technologies and sensing applications of femtosecond-laser-inscribed FBGs.Firstly,the mechanism of femtosecond-laser-induced material modification is introduced.And then,three different fabrication tech no logies,i.e.,femtosecond laser phase mask technology,femtosecond laser holographic interferometry,and femtosecond laser direct writing technology,are discussed.Finally,the advances in high-temperature sensing applications and vector bending sensing applications of various femtosecond-laser-inscribed FBGs are summarized.Such femtosecond-laser-inscribed FBGs are promising in many industrial areas,such as aerospace vehicles,nuclear plants,oil and gas explorations,and advanced robotics in harsh environments.Jun HE Baijie XU Xizhen XU Changrui LIAO Yiping WANG 2021Photonic Sensors2021,11,2:6
3Nitrate δ^(15)N and δ^(18)O evidence for active biological transformation in the Changjiang Estuary and the adjacent East China Sea显示文摘The Changjiang Estuary has been considered as one of the most polluted estuaries in the world due to high nitrate (NO-3) input, especially in spring and summer. In this study, δ15N and δ18O of NO-3 , along with other chemical parameters in this area, were measured in spring to evaluate NO-3 biogeochemical processes. A simple two end-members mixing model was used to examine the relative contribution of the Changjiang River Diluted Water and marine water to NO-3 sources in the Changjiang Estuary and the adjacent East China Sea. The isotopic signals show that NO-3 behaved relatively and conservatively in Transect F and Transect P where assimilation was weak possibly due to vertical mixing, while active assimilation and weak nitrification occurred in Transect D. Spatial difference in assimilation was indicated by the~1:1 enrichment of δ15N and δ18O in the three transects, while spatial difference in nitrification was reflected by deviations of δ15 N and δ18O from assimilation line. 4Single-mode helical Bragg grating waveguide created in a multimode coreless fiber by femtosecond laser direct writing显示文摘We demonstrate the fabrication of single-mode helical Bragg grating waveguides(HBGWs)in a multimode core-less fiber by using a femtosecond laser direct writing technique.This approach provides a single-step method for creating Bragg grating waveguides.Specifically,the unique helical structure in such an HBGW serves as a depressed cladding waveguide and also generates strong Bragg resonance due to its periodicity.Effects of pulse energy,helical diameter,and helical pitch used for fabricating HBGWs were studied,and a single-mode HBGW with a narrow bandwidth of 0.43 nm and a Bragg wavelength of 1546.50 nm was achieved by using appropriate parameters,including a diameter of 10μm and a helical pitch of 1.07μm.The measured cross-sectional refractive index profile indicates that a depressed cladding waveguide has been created in this single-mode HBGW.Moreover,five single-mode HBGWs with various Bragg wavelengths were successfully fabricated by controlling the helical pitch,and this technique could be used for achieving a wavelength-division-multiplexed HBGW array.Then,the temperature and strain responses of the fabricated single-mode HBGW were tested,exhibiting a temperature sensitivity of 11.65 pm/℃ and a strain sensitivity of 1.29 pm/με,respectively.In addition,the thermal stability of the single-mode HBGW was also studied by annealing at a high temperature of 700℃ for 15 h.The degeneration of the single-mode waveguide into a multimode waveguide was observed during the isothermal annealing process,and the peak reflection and the Bragg wavelength of the fundamental mode exhibited a decrease of∼7 dB and a“blue”shift of 0.36 nm.Hence,such a femtosecond laser directly written single-mode HBGW could be used in many applications,such as sapphire fiber sensors,photonic integrated circuits,and monolithic waveguide lasers.JUN HE JIA HE XIZHEN XU BIN DU BAIJIE XU CHANGRUI LIAO ZHIYONG BAI YIPING WANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,10:4

7Identification of a novel hydrolase encoded by hy-1 from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens for bioremediation of carbendazim contaminated soil and food显示文摘Carbendazim(MBC)is an effective antifungal and antibacterial pesticide in agricultural applications.However,the MBC-contaminated soil and food are difficult to be restored.In this work,a novel MBC-hydrolase HY-1 encoded by gene hy-1 from an isolated MBC-degrading bacteria Bacillus amyloliquefaciens has been screened and identified.The 858 bp hydrolase gene was expressed in E.coli BL21 and the 32 kDa hydrolase HY-1 was purified.The purified HY-1 was able to catalyze MBC into 2-aminobenzimidazole(2-AB)without the need for any cofactors.Then bioremediation experiment was conducted and both the strain Car4 and cell crude extract of E.coli(pET-hy1)accelerated MBC degradation in soil.Moreover,purified HY-1 was available in removing MBC residue on the surface of cucumber.This work explored the possibility of microbial and enzymatic bioremediation on MBC-contaminated soil and food,provide a new way for bioremediation of pesticide contaminations.Ying Li Miaomiao Chi Xizhen Ge 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,2:2

13Effects of Bi^(3+) on down-/up-conversion luminescence,temperature sensing and optical transition properties of Bi^(3+)/Er^(3+)co-doped YNbO_(4) phosphors显示文摘A series of YNbO_(4):Bi^(3+) and YNbO_(4):Bi^(3+)/Er^(3+) phosphors were prepared by a conventional high temperature solid-state reaction method.The results of XRD and Rietveld refinement confirm that monoclinic phase YNbO_(4)samples are achieved.The down-/up-conversion luminescence of Er^(3+) ions was investigated under the excitation of ultraviolet light(327 nm)and near infrared light(980 nm).Under 327 nm excitation,broad visible emission band from Bi^(3+) ions and characteristic green emission peaks from Er^(3+) ions are simultaneously observed,while only strong green emissions from Er^(3+) ions are detected upon excitation of 980 nm.Remarkable emission enhancement is observed in down-/up-conversion luminescence processes by introducing Bi^(3+) ions into Er^(3+)-doped YNbO_(4)phosphors.Pumped current versus up-conversion emission intensity study shows that two-photon processes are responsible for both the green and the red up-conversion emissions of Er^(3+)ion.Through the study of the temperature sensing property of Er^(3+) ion,it is affirmed that the temperature sensitivity is sensitive to the doping concentration of Bi^(3+) ions.By comparing the experimental values of the radiative transition rate ratio of the two green emission levels of Er^(3+) ions and the theoretical values calculated by Judd-Ofelt(J-O)theory,it is concluded that the temperature sensing property of Er^(3+) ions is greatly affected by the energy level splitting.Xin Wang Xiangping Li Hongquan Yu Sai Xu Jiashi Sun Lihong Cheng Xizhen Zhang Jinsu Zhang Yongze Cao Baojiu Chen 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,3:1

16Correlations between the North China Craton and the Indian Shield:Constraints from regional metallogeny显示文摘The correlation between the North China Craton(NCC) and the Indian Shield(IND) has been a hot topic in recent years,On the basis of ore deposit databases,the NCC and IND have shown broad similarity in metallogenesis from the middle Archaean to the Mesoproterozoic,The two blocks both have three major metallogenic systems:(1) the Archaean BIF metallogenic system;(2) the Paleoproterozoic Cu-Pb-Zn metallogenic system;and(3) the Mesoproterozoic Fe-Pb-Zn system,In the north margin of the NCC and the west margin of the IND,the Archaean BIF-Au-Cu-Pb-Zn deposits had the same petrogenesis and host rocks,the Paleoproterozoic Cu-Pb-Zn deposits were controlled by active belts,and the Mesoproterozoic Fe-Pb-Zn deposits were mainly related to multi-stage rifting,Matching regional mineralization patterns and geological features has established the continental assembly referred to as 'NCWI',an acronym for the north margin of the NCC(NC) and the west margin of the IND(WI) during the middle Archaean to the Mesoproterozoic,In this assembly,the available geological and metallogenic data from the Eastern Block and active belts of NC fit those from the Dharwar craton and the Aravalli-DelhiVindhyan belt of WI,respectively,Moreover,the depositional model and environment of Paleoproterozoic metasedimentary manganese deposits in NCWI implied that the assembly may be located at low latitudes,where the conditions were favorable for dissolving ice and precipitating manganese deposits,Caifeng Li Dongyue Chen Jianping Chen Xizhen Chen Xingchen Yang M.A.Aboelnour 2015Geoscience Frontiers2015,6,6:1
