| 1 | Computed tomography-based radiomics for prediction of neoadjuvant chemotherapy outcomes in locally advanced gastric cancer: A pilot study显示文摘Objective: The standard treatment for patients with locally advanced gastric cancer has relied on perioperative radio-chemotherapy or chemotherapy and surgery. The aim of this study was to investigate the wealth of radiomics for pre-treatment computed tomography(CT) in the prediction of the pathological response of locally advanced gastric cancer with preoperative chemotherapy.Methods: Thirty consecutive patients with CT-staged II/III gastric cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy were enrolled in this study between December 2014 and March 2017. All patients underwent upper abdominal CT during the unenhanced, late arterial phase(AP) and portal venous phase(PP) before the administration of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. In total, 19,985 radiomics features were extracted in the AP and PP for each patient.Four methods were adopted during feature selection and eight methods were used in the process of building the classifier model. Thirty-two combinations of feature selection and classification methods were examined. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves were used to evaluate the capability of each combination of feature selection and classification method to predict a non-good response(non-GR) based on tumor regression grade(TRG).Results: The mean area under the curve(AUC) ranged from 0.194 to 0.621 in the AP, and from 0.455 to 0.722 in the PP, according to different combinations of feature selection and the classification methods. There was only one cross-combination machine-learning method indicating a relatively higher AUC(>0.600) in the AP, while 12 cross-combination machine-learning methods presented relatively higher AUCs(all >0.600) in the PP. | 2 | Rapid report of the 8 January 2022 M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake,Qinghai,China显示文摘The M_(S)6.9 Menyuan earthquake in Qinghai Province,west China is the largest earthquake by far in 2022.The earthquake occurs in a tectonically active region,with a background b-value of 0.87 within 100 km of the epicenter that we derived from the unified catalog produced by China Earthquake Networks Center since late 2008.Field surveys have revealed surface ruptures extending 22 km along strike,with a maximum ground displacement of 2.1 m.We construct a finite fault model with constraints from In SAR observations,which showed multiple fault segments during the Menyuan earthquake.The major slip asperity is confined within 10 km at depth,with the maximum slip of 3.5 m.Near real-time back-projection results of coseismic radiation indicate a northwest propagating rupture that lasted for~10 s.Intensity estimates from the back-projection results show up to a Mercalli scale of IX near the ruptured area,consistent with instrumental measurements and the observations from the field surveys.Aftershock locations(up to January 21,2022)exhibit two segments,extending to~20 km in depth.The largest one reaches M_(S)5.3,locating near the eastern end of the aftershock zone.Although the location and the approximate magnitude of the mainshock had been indicated by previous studies based on paleoearthquake records and seismic gap,as well as estimated stressing rate on faults,significant surfacebreaching rupture leads to severe damage of the high-speed railway system,which poses a challenge in accurately assessing earthquake hazards and risks,and thus demands further investigations of the rupture behaviors for crustal earthquakes. | Hongfeng Yang Dun Wang Rumeng Guo Mengyu Xie Yang Zang Yue Wang Qiang Yao Chuang Cheng Yanru An Yingying Zhang | 2022 | Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,1: | 14 |

| 5 | Spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites in coastal China:Sea level changes, geomorphic evolution and human adaption显示文摘The East China coastal plain is one of the most important Neolithic culture areas in China, where rich archaeological sites including those producing the earliest domesticated rice are observed. It is also a place where landscape has experienced dramatic evolution during the Holocene when both sea level and climate changed, such that it is an ideal place for studying human-environment interaction. This study investigated over 2000 sites of pre-history and Shang and Zhou Dynasties, with 655 of which being Neolithic ages, by using DEM and GIS methods. The results suggest that the spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites has largely been controlled by landscape evolution(particularly changes in coastal line), which ultimately governed by sea level changes. During early Holocene, Neolithic sites sparsely distributed in the intermountain basins of east Zhejiang Province, far from the influence of ocean. Over the period of 9–7 ka, the coastal plain(including the shelf) was largely submerged,only the feet of low hills to the south and southwest of the study area, and islands protruding the estuary, cradled limited number of settlements with characteristic 'maritime components'. At about 7 ka, sea level rise decelerated prominently, while sediments supply in the drainage remained high value, the combination of which led to land formation and propagation. Vast space during this period facilitated the growth of settlements in both size and number. | 8 | Molecular characterization of transformation and halogenation of natural organic matter during the UV/chlorine AOP using FT-ICR mass spectrometry显示文摘UV/chlorine process,as an emerging advanced oxidation process(AOP),was effective for removing micro-pollutants via various reactive radicals,but it also led to the changes of natural organic matter(NOM)and formation of disinfection byproducts(DBPs).By using negative ion electrospray ionization coupled with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(ESI FT-ICR MS),the transformation of Suwannee River NOM(SRNOM)and the formation of chlorinated DBPs(Cl-DBPs)in the UV/chlorine AOP and subsequent post-chlorination were tracked and compared with dark chlorination.In comparison to dark chlorination,the involvement of Cl O·,Cl·,and HO·in the UV/chlorine AOP promoted the transformation of NOM by removing the compounds owning higher aromaticity(AI mod)value and DBE(double-bond equivalence)/C ratio and causing the decrease in the proportion of aromatic compounds.Meanwhile,more compounds which contained only C,H,O,N atoms(CHON)were observed after the UV/chlorine AOP compared with dark chlorination via photolysis of organic chloramines or radical reactions.A total of 833 compounds contained C,H,O,Cl atoms(CHOCl)were observed after the UV/chlorine AOP,higher than 789 CHOCl compounds in dark chlorination,and one-chlorine-containing components were the dominant species.The different products from chlorine substitution reactions(SR)and addition reactions(AR)suggested that SR often occurred in the precursors owning higher H/C ratio and AR often occurred in the precursors owning higher aromaticity.Post-chlorination further caused the cleavages of NOM structures into small molecular weight compounds,removed CHON compounds and enhanced the formation of Cl-DBPs.The results provide information about NOM transformation and Cl-DBPs formation at molecular levels in the UV/chlorine AOP. | Xiaoxue Ruan Yingying Xiang Chii Shang Shuangshuang Cheng Jingfu Liu Zhineng Hao Xin Yang | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 5 |

| 12 | Carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) for high-rate lithium-ion batteries:Electrochemical performance and charge compensation mechanism显示文摘Fast charging and high-power delivering batteries are highly demanded in mobile electronics,electric vehicles and grid energy storage,but there are full of challenges.The star-material Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is demonstrated as a promising high-rate cathode material meeting the above requirements.Herein,we report the carbon decorated Li_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) (LVP/C) cathode prepared via a facile method,which displays a remarkable high-rate capability and long-term cycling performance.Briefly,the prepared LVP/C delivers a high discharge capacity of 122 mAh g^(-1)(-93% of the theoretical capacity) at a high rate up to 20 C and a superior capacity retention of 87.1% after 1000 cycles.Importantly,by applying a combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy and full-range mapping of resonant inelastic X-ray scattering,we clearly elucidate the structural and chemical evolutions of LVP upon various potentials and cycle numbers.We show unambiguous spectroscopic evidences that the evolution of the hybridization strength between V and O in LVP/C as a consequence of lithiation/delithiation is highly reversible both in the bulk and on the surface during the discharge-charge processes even over extended cycles,which should be responsible for the remarkable electrochemical performance of LVP/C.Our present study provides not only an effective synthesis strategy but also deeper insights into the surface and bulk electrochemical reaction mechanism of LVP,which should be beneficial for the further design of high-performance LVP electrode materials. | Manling Ding Chen Cheng Qiulong Wei Yue Hu Yingying Yan Kehua Dai Jing Mao Jinghua Guo Liang Zhang Liqiang Maig | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2: | 3 |

| 14 | Exhumation history of the Huangshan granite pluton,southern Anhui Province:New insights from fission-track analysis显示文摘The dating of the uplift onset of the Huangshan pluton in the southern part of Anhui Province associated with the collision between paleo-Pacific Block and the Eurasian Block is a fundamental issue to better understand the uplift mechanisms and the regional tectonic evolution.χ2 values of seven zircon fission track(ZFT) samples collected from the south part of the Huangshan pluton were all<5%.Based on the grain ages of four typical ZFT samples,three thermal overprints ranging in 113-123,72-95 and 49-66 Ma were distinguished respectively using the binomial peak-fitting method in accordance with the tectonic thermal events after south China shifted into circum-Pacific tectonic region.Apatite fission track(AFT) study of the Huangshan pluton shows ages lie between 15±3 and 56±6 Ma with allχ2 values>5%,and all are significantly younger than their host rock formation ages,indicating that the samples have experienced post-formation thermal history.Based on the AFT results and topography characteristics in the Huangshan pluton,three zones with different denudation intensities caused by the differential uplift of the fault blocks were recognized in this paper,indicating that denudation was driven by the increase in elevation significantly.Modeling of the AFT data shows that the earlier cooling phase took place in the early Cenozoic and involved 3.3,3.8 and 6.0°C/Ma of cooling rates equivalent to the exhumation rates of 90,104 and 167 m/Ma in different fault blocks.The last phase of cooling took place from~10 Ma with average cooling rate of~5.6°C/Ma,equivalent to average denudation rates of~156 m/Ma.The fission track results imply that the regional compression field plays an important role for the differential exhumation between individual fault blocks of the Huangshan pluton. | ZHENG Yong YU XinQi YUAN WanMing WANG De'En JIANG GongBing ZHU DeLai WANG Cheng JIA YingYing | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,4: | 3 |
| 15 | Relationship between the parent charge transfer gap and maximum transition temperature in cuprates显示文摘One of the biggest puzzles concerning the cuprate high temperature superconductors is what determines the maximum transition temperature(Tc,max), which varies from less than 30 to above 130 K in different compounds.Despite this dramatic variation, a robust trend is that within each family, the double-layer compound always has higher Tc,maxthan the single-layer counterpart. Here we use scanning tunneling microscopy to investigate the electronic structure of four cuprate parent compounds belonging to two different families. We find that within each family, the double layer compound has a much smaller charge transfer gap size(DCT), indicating a clear anticorrelation between DCTand Tc,max. | 18 | Boosting polysulfide redox conversion of Li-S batteries by one-step-synthesized Co-Mo bimetallic nitride显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are considered as one of the most promising next generation energy storage systems due to the high theoretical specific capacity,low cost,and environmental benignity.However,the notorious shuttle effect of polysulfides hinders the practical application of Li-S batteries.Herein,we have rationally designed and synthesized sea urchin-like Co-Mo bimetallic nitride(Co_(3) MO_(3) N)in the absence of additional nitrogen sources with only one step,which was applied as the sulfur host materials for Li-S batteries.The results indicate that Co_(3) Mo_(3) N can efficiently anchor and catalyze the conversion of polysulfides,thus accelerating the electrochemical reaction kinetics and enabling prominent electrochemical properties.As a consequence,the S@Co_(3) Mo_(3) N cathode exhibits a high rate performance of 705 mAh g^(-1) at 3 C rate and an excellent cycling stability with a low capacity fading rate of 0.08%per cycle at 1 C over 600 cycles.Even at a high sulfur loading of 5.4 cmg cm^(-2),it delivers a high initial areal capacity of 4.50 mAh cm^(-2) which is still retained at 3.64 mAh cm^(-2) after 120 cycles.Furthermore,the catalytic mechanism and structural stability of Co_(3) Mo_(3) N during cycling were elucidated by a combination of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure.This work highlights the strategy of structure-catalysis engineering of bimetallic nitride,which is expected to have a wide application in Li-S batteries. | Yingying Yan Hongtai Li Chen Cheng Tianran Yan Wenping Gao Jing Mao Kehua Dai Liang Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 3 |

| 20 | MXene-Derived Defect-Rich TiO2@rGO as High-Rate Anodes for Full Na Ion Batteries and Capacitors显示文摘Sodium ion batteries and capacitors have demonstrated their potential applications for next-generation low-cost energy storage devices.These devices’s rate ability is determined by the fast sodium ion storage behavior in electrode materials.Herein,a defective TiO2@reduced graphene oxide(M-TiO2@rGO)self-supporting foam electrode is constructed via a facile MXene decomposition and graphene oxide self-assembling process.The employment of the MXene parent phase exhibits distinctive advantages,enabling defect engineering,nanoengineering,and fluorine-doped metal oxides.As a result,the M-TiO2@rGO electrode shows a pseudocapacitance-dominated hybrid sodium storage mechanism.The pseudocapacitance-dominated process leads to high capacity,remarkable rate ability,and superior cycling performance.Significantly,an M-TiO2@rGO//Na3 V2(PO4)3 sodium full cell and an M-TiO2@rGO//HPAC sodium ion capacitor are fabricated to demonstrate the promising application of M-TiO2@rGO.The sodium ion battery presents a capacity of 177.1 mAh g-1 at 500 mA g-1 and capacity retention of 74%after 200 cycles.The sodium ion capacitor delivers a maximum energy density of 101.2 Wh kg-1 and a maximum power density of 10,103.7 W kg-1.At 1.0 A g-1,it displays an energy retention of 84.7%after 10,000 cycles. | Yongzheng Fang Yingying Zhang Chenxu Miao Kai Zhu Yong Chen Fei Du Jinling Yin Ke Ye Kui Cheng Jun Yan Guiling Wang Dianxue Cao | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,10: | 2 |
