2Responses of the Toll-like receptor and melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 signaling pathways to avian infectious bronchitis virus infection in chicks显示文摘Avian infectious bronchitis virus(IBV) is a Gammacoronavirus in the family Coronaviridae and causes highly contagious respiratory disease in chickens. Innate immunity plays significant roles in host defense against IBV. Here, we explored the interaction between IBV and the host innate immune system. Severe histopathological lesions were observed in the tracheal mucosa at 3–5days post inoculation(dpi) and in the kidney at 8 dpi, with heavy viral loads at 1–11 and 1–28 dpi,respectively. The expression of m RNAs encoding Toll-like receptor(TLR) 3 and TLR7 were upregulated at 3–8 dpi, and that of TIR-domain-containing adapter-inducing interferon(IFN) β(TRIF) was upregulated at 21 dpi in the trachea and kidney. Myeloid differentiation primary response protein 88(My D88) was upregulated in the trachea during early infection. Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor(TRAF) 3 and TRAF6 were upregulated expression in both tissues.Moreover, melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5(MDA5), laboratory of genetics and physiology 2(LGP2), stimulator of IFN genes(STING), and mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS), as well as TANK binding kinase 1(TBK1), inhibitor of kappa B kinase(IKK) ?, IKKα, IKKβ,IFN regulatory factor(IRF) 7, nuclear factor of kappa B(NF-κB), IFN-α, IFN-β, various interleukins(ILs), and macrophage inflammatory protein-1β(MIP-1β) were significantly upregulated in the trachea and downregulated in the kidney. These results suggested that the TLR and MDA5 signaling pathways and innate immune cytokine were induced after IBV infection. 4Computer-aided ionic liquid design for alkane/cycloalkane extractive distillation process显示文摘A computer-aided ionic liquid design(CAILD) study is presented for the frequently encountered alkane/cycloalkane separations in petrochemical industry. Exhaustive experimental data are first collected to extend the UNIFAC-IL model for this system, where the proximity effect in alkanes and cycloalkanes is considered specifically by defining distinct groups. The thermodynamic performances of a large number of ILs for 4 different alkane/cycloalkane systems are then compared to select a representative example of such separations. By applying n-heptane/methylcyclohexane extractive distillation as a case study, the CAILD task is cast as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP) problem based on the obtained task-specific UNIFAC-IL model and two semi-empirical models for IL physical properties. 7Phase-matching-induced near-chirp-free solitons in normal-dispersion fiber lasers显示文摘Direct generation of chirp-free solitons without external compression in normal-dispersion fiber lasers is a long-term challenge in ultrafast optics.We demonstrate near-chirp-free solitons with distinct spectral sidebands in normaldispersion hybrid-structure fiber lasers containing a few meters of polarization-maintaining fiber.The bandwidth and duration of the typical mode-locked pulse are 0.74 nm and 1.95 ps,respectively,giving the time-bandwidth product of 0.41 and confirming the near-chirp-free property.Numerical results and theoretical analyses fully reproduce and interpret the experimental observations,and show that the fiber birefringence,normal-dispersion,and nonlinear effect follow a phase-matching principle,enabling the formation of the near-chirp-free soliton.Specifically,the phasematching effect confines the spectrum broadened by self-phase modulation and the saturable absorption effect slims the pulse stretched by normal dispersion.Such pulse is termed as birefringence-managed soliton because its two orthogonal-polarized components propagate in an unsymmetrical“X”manner inside the polarization-maintaining fiber,partially compensating the group delay difference induced by the chromatic dispersion and resulting in the selfconsistent evolution.The property and formation mechanism of birefringence-managed soliton fundamentally differ from other types of pulses in mode-locked fiber lasers,which will open new research branches in laser physics,soliton mathematics,and their related applications.Dong Mao Zhiwen He Yusong Zhang Yueqing Du Chao Zeng Ling Yun Zhichao Luo Tijian Li Zhipei Sun Jianlin Zhao 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,2:3

9A Neural Network Method for Monitoring Snowstorm: A Case Study in Southern China显示文摘It has been observed that low temperature, rainfall, snowfall, frost have never occurred over the past 50 years in the southern China, and weather in this area is very complex, so the monitoring equipments are few. Optical and thermal infrared remote sensing is influenced much by clouds, so the passive microwave Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-Earth Observing System(AMSR-E) data are the best choice to monitor and analyze the development of disaster. In order to improve estimation accuracy, the dynamic learning neural network was used to retrieve snow depth. The difference of brightness temperatures of TB18.7V and TB36.5V, TB18.7H and TB36.5H, TB23.8V and TB89 V, TB23.8H and TB89 H are made as four main input nodes and the snow depth is the only one output node of neural network. The mean and the standard deviation of retrieval errors are about 4.8 cm and 6.7 cm relative to the test data of ground measurements. 10Long- versus short-interval follow-up after resection of hepatocellular carcinoma: a retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Average postoperative follow-up intervals vary in patients undergoing hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)resection because of limited evidence regarding the optimal interval.We aimed to compare the associations of long-versus short-interval follow-up with survival and recurrence in risk-stratified HCC patients.Methods:We performed a retrospective cohort study between 2007 and 2014.In total,1227 patients treated by curative resection of Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage A or B HCC were stratified as having a low(n=865)or high(n=362)risk of early recurrence(within the first 2 years after resection)based on prognostic factors identified by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operation algorithm.Patients were further classified into long-interval(every 4-6 months)and short-interval(every 2-4 months)follow-up subgroups based on follow-up within 2 years after resection(low risk,long vs.short:n=390 vs.n=475;high-risk,long vs.short:n=149 vs.n=213).Results:The short-interval follow-up did not prolong overall survival in either the low-risk(hazard ratio[HR]=1.152;95%confidence interval[CI]0.720-1.843)or high-risk(HR=1.213;95%CI 0.702-2.094)patients.Early recurrence occurred in 401 patients.For high-risk patients,the short-interval follow-up subgroup exhibited smaller intrahepatic recurrence than did the long-interval group(2.6 vs.3.5 cm,respectively,P=0.045).However,no significant difference in the rate of Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage 0/A recurrence was found between the long-and short-interval follow-up groups in either low-or high-risk patients(63.1%vs.68.2%,respectively,P=0.580;31.3%vs.41.5%,respec-tively,P=0.280).The rate of curative intent treatment for recurrence(34.5%vs.39.7%,respectively,P=0.430;14.6%vs.20.3%,respectively,P=0.388)was also similar between the follow-up groups for low-and high-risk patients.Conclusions:Shortening the postoperative follow-up interval from every 4-6 months to every 2-4 months within the first 2 years after resection did not increase the rate of curative intent treatment or prolong the overall survival of patients with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage A or B HCC.Wei He Yun Zheng Ruhai Zou Jingxian Shen Junping Yang Jiliang Qiu Qiang Tao Wenwu Liu Zhiwen Yang Yuanping Zhang Binkui Li Yunfei Yuan 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:2
11Biological Characteristics of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp.niveum Isolated from Watermelon Cultivated in Plastic Greenhouse and Indoor Toxicity Determination of Different Fungicides in Hainan Province of China显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to study biological characteristics of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.niveum in watermelon cultivated in plastic greenhouse in Hainan Province of China and to determine indoor toxicity of fungicides.[Method]Effects of various factors on mycelial growth and spore germination were studied,and the lethal temperature of spores and indoor toxicity of fungicides were also determined.[Result]The fungal mycelium had a better growth rate on watermelon juice medium than the others.The optimum temperature for mycelial growth and spore germination were 28℃and 30℃,and the optimum pH values were7-8 and 7-9,respectively.Light-dark alternation was conducive for mycelial growth.The lethal temperature of spore was 60℃for 5 min.The fungal mycelium grew better while taking fructose and glucose as carbon sources and yeast extract and peptone as nitrogen sources.Toxicity determination showed that 50%prochloraz-manganese chloride complex WP had the greatest inhibition effect on mycelial growth,with the EC50value of 0.730 9μg/mL;followed by 32.5%benzoic azoxystrobin SC,30%benzoylate·propiconazol EC,10%difenoconazole WG,25%bromothalonil·carbendazim WP and 25%bromothalonil WP,with the EC50values from 1.884 7μg/mL to 8.161 0μg/mL.[Conclusion]The study provided basic data for field control against F.oxysporum f.sp.niveum on watermelon cultivated in plastic greenhouse in Hainan Province.Fan Hongyan Zhou Wenjing Wang Xianghe Luo Zhiwen He Fan 2013Plant Diseases and Pests2013,4,5:2
12Non‐linearly conductive ZnO microvaristors/epoxy resin composite prepared by wet winding with polyester fibre cloth显示文摘ZnO microvaristors/epoxy resin composite has drawn great attention from academia and industry for its adjustable non‐linear conductivity,high mechanical strength,and good ageing resistance.However,the sedimentation of ZnO microvaristors in epoxy resin during preparation is the key problem,which limits its application in engineering.In this study,a novel method of wet winding with polyester fibre cloth is proposed to prepare the ZnO microvaristors/epoxy resin composite.The anti‐settling effect of ZnO micro-varistors in the composite is verified by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA).The microstructure shows that ZnO microvaristors distribute uniformly in the composite,and the content difference of ZnO microvaristors at the top and bottom part is only 0.4%.The composite shows typical non‐linear conductivity,and the threshold electric field and the non‐linear coefficient decrease with the content of ZnO microvaristors,while the conductivity in the insulating state shows an increasing trend.To verify the field grading effect of the composite with non‐linear conductivity(CNC),a finite element model of a needle‐plate electrode,simulating the condition of a conductive tip in a solid insulated system,is set up.CNC can adaptively grade the electric field,which reduces the surface electric field of the needle tip by 86.6%and the highest electric field in the system by 82.1%.This wet winding method solidifies the industrial application of CNC in high‐voltage power equipment.Zhikang Yuan Jun Hu Zhiwen Huang Gang Sun Ya Sun Jinliang He 2022High Voltage2022,7,1:2
13A comprehensive overview of cotton genomics,biotechnology and molecular biological studies显示文摘Cotton is an irreplaceable economic crop currently domesticated in the human world for its extremely elongated fiber cells specialized in seed epidermis,which makes it of high research and application value.To date,numerous research on cotton has navigated various aspects,from multi-genome assembly,genome editing,mechanism of fiber development,metabolite biosynthesis,and analysis to genetic breeding.Genomic and 3D genomic studies reveal the origin of cotton species and the spatiotemporal asymmetric chromatin structure in fibers.Mature multiple genome editing systems,such as CRISPR/Cas9,Cas12(Cpf1)and cytidine base editing(CBE),have been widely used in the study of candidate genes affecting fiber development.Based on this,the cotton fiber cell development network has been preliminarily drawn.Among them,the MYB-b HLH-WDR(MBW)transcription factor complex and IAA and BR signaling pathway regulate the initiation;various plant hormones,including ethylene,mediated regulatory network and membrane protein overlap fine-regulate elongation.Multistage transcription factors targeting Ces A 4,7,and 8 specifically dominate the whole process of secondary cell wall thickening.And fluorescently labeled cytoskeletal proteins can observe real-time dynamic changes in fiber development.Furthermore,research on the synthesis of cotton secondary metabolite gossypol,resistance to diseases and insect pests,plant architecture regulation,and seed oil utilization are all conducive to finding more high-quality breeding-related genes and subsequently facilitating the cultivation of better cotton varieties.This review summarizes the paramount research achievements in cotton molecular biology over the last few decades from the above aspects,thereby enabling us to conduct a status review on the current studies of cotton and provide strong theoretical support for the future direction.Xingpeng Wen Zhiwen Chen Zuoren Yang Maojun Wang Shuangxia Jin Guangda Wang Li Zhang Lingjian Wang Jianying Li Sumbul Saeed Shoupu He Zhi Wang Kun Wang Zhaosheng Kong Fuguang Li Xianlong Zhang Xiaoya Chen Yuxian Zhu 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:2

15Birefringence-Managed Normal-Dispersion Fiber Laser Delivering Energy-Tunable Chirp-Free Solitons显示文摘Chirp-free solitons have been mainly achieved with anomalous-dispersion fiber lasers by the balance of dispersive and nonlinear effects,and the single-pulse energy is constrained within a relatively small range.Here,we report a class of chirp-free pulse in normal-dispersion erbium-doped fiber lasers,termed birefringence-managed soliton,in which the birefringence-related phasematching effect dominates the soliton evolution.Controllable harmonic mode locking from 5 order to 85 order is obtained at the same pump level of~10 mW with soliton energy fully tunable beyond ten times,which indicates a new birefringencerelated soliton energy law,which fundamentally differs from the conventional soliton energy theorem.The unique transformation behavior between birefringence-managed solitons and dissipative solitons is directly visualized via the singleshot spectroscopy.The results demonstrate a novel approach of engineering fiber birefringence to create energy-tunable chirpfree solitons in normal-dispersion regime and open new research directions in fields of optical solitons,ultrafast lasers,and theirapplications.Dong Mao Zhiwen He Qun Gao Chao Zeng Ling Yun Yueqing Du Hua Lu Zhipei Sun Jianlin Zhao 2022Ultrafast Science2022,,4:1
16Effect of Forchlorfenuron (CPPU) and Ethychlozate on Fruit Development and Quality of Mango Cultivar 'Tainong 1'显示文摘The fruit swelling effect of forchlorfenuron( CPPU) and fruit thinning effect of ethychlozate on Tainong 1 mango( Mangifera indica L. cv.) were studied. Spraying 32 mg/L CPPU at 7 and 21 d post flowering for just once significantly improved the fruit size of mango,but had no significant impact on fruit quality and flavor. 17Abnormal Crowd Behavior Detection Based on the Entropy of Optical Flow显示文摘To improve the detection accuracy and robustness of crowd anomaly detection,especially crowd emergency evacuation detection,the abnormal crowd behavior detection method is proposed.This method is based on the improved statistical global optical flow entropy which can better describe the degree of chaos of crowd.First,the optical flow field is extracted from the video sequences and a 2D optical flow histogram is gained.Then,the improved optical flow entropy,combining information theory with statistical physics is calculated from 2D optical flow histograms.Finally,the anomaly can be detected according to the abnormality judgment formula.The experimental results show that the detection accuracy achieved over 95%in three public video datasets,which indicates that the proposed algorithm outperforms other state-of-the-art algorithms.Zheyi Fan Wei Li Zhonghang He Zhiwen Liu 2019Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2019,28,4:1
18Perovskite films with gradient bandgap for self-powered multiband photodetectors and spectrometers显示文摘Bandgap-graded materials present varying spectral responses at different positions,making them possible to be used as an alternative to photoactive materials array in multi-spectral responsive devices,thus miniaturizing the apparatus.However,the preparation of bandgap-graded materials usually requires complicated deposition process.Here we report a facile lowtemperature solution process to make films with lateral bandgap gradients,which form spontaneously via self-spreading and interdiffusion of solutions.We show lead halide perovskite films with MAPbCl_(3)-MAPbBr_(3)and MAPbBr_(3)-MAPbI_(3)gradients,which exhibit light absorption onsets ranging from 410 to 781 nm.The bandgap-graded films were used to make self-powered multiband photodetectors,which show different spectral responses at different positions without applying bias voltage.Furthermore,self-powered spectrometers were made by using the multiband photodetectors.Chuantian Zuo Lixiu Zhang Xiyan Pan He Tian Keyou Yan Yuanhang Cheng Zhiwen Jin Chenyi Yi Xiaoliang Zhang Wu-Qiang Wu Qinye Bao Liyuan Han Liming Ding 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:1
